  1. Amount of jobs available

Hey, I see that a lot of people want to become cops and that kind of stuff but won't you get a lot of people with the same jobs and that kind of stuff in a single session or will there be a limit amount of jobs for (example) cops, firefighters, because this kind of confuses me. thanks (I don't know if this is already talked about but I couldn't find a topic about this)
  2. Horizon Inc

  3. I have recently heard of this game and have been psyched ever since. I've been waiting for a game like this all of my life but no one has ever been able to deliver. Identity has the best chance of making my dream game come true so I desperately hope at least some of my suggestions can be implemented in the game. 1) Freedom of Choice: This is the most important aspect of the game I'm looking forward to. I've always wanted to play a game that is focused mainly on the Sims aspect of real life as opposed to a game like GTA 5 that is basically just a game focused on criminality with limited option to do anything else. I want to have the freedom to lead my own life without being forced to engage in any type of activity. I know Identity is being built mainly as a police/criminal type of game but the ability to add non-criminal gameplay in addition to the detailed Sims aspect of the game makes this game ideal. My main suggestion here is please focus more on the non-criminal aspect of the game, try to make non-police non-criminal aspects/activities/careers of the game just as detailed and comprehensive if possible. 2) Realism: Realism is another big issue for me, making the game as real as possible would be perfect. My suggestions here are making the day/night cycle much longer than in GTA 5. You want to really enjoy each time of day without it passing by in just a few short minutes. I wouldn't even mind having to wait for my character to sleep for a decent while at nights if that's what it takes. I understand some players may not want this so having different servers with different settings could accommodate all types of players. Other suggestions are realistic walking/running speed unlike GTA 5 where first person mode always had you running. Realistic stamina so you wouldn't be able to run indefinitely like in GTA 5. Realistic season changes if possible. Realistic trash/waste/dirt forcing the player to do regular cleanup of the house/office, putting out trash, and washing clothes/etc. Bigger city sizes: if possible please make the cities bigger than Los Santos in GTA 5. Though Los Santos had a decent size a bigger city would be a lot more immersive and fun especially with lots of available activities. 3) Careers/Jobs: Please try to add as many different jobs/careers as possible. This is extremely important in giving the player freedom of choice and lots of options to explore. It will really increase the game's replayability. Here're some suggestions: - Doctor: Instead of having an EMT that heals players it would be a lot more fun if you had an ambulance driver who'd delivery emergency patients to a hospital where a player doctor would do the healing/surgery/etc. The doctor could take care of both "dead"/severely injured players as well as treat regular patients with common sicknesses. - Financial manager: Someone who will invest/trade for other players assuming there will be a decent and dynamic stock/commodity exchange in the game. - Garbage man: Assuming there would be trash in the game, waste management worker(s) could take everyone's trash once a week using a garbage truck. - Postal worker: Instead of delivering mail directly have a post office where the post office worker receives and delivers all player mails. - Regular office work that could somehow relate to other aspects/jobs in the game (examples> DMV where players would need to renew their registration/license/get car inspections/etc. Insurance worker, realtor, accountant, etc.) - Hotel manager: Assuming there will be hotels/motels where players could stay when out of town. - News reporter/anchor: You could be a reporter or anchor either filming real in game events or reporting on them, could include weather, business, and sports news as well. - Cook: With real cooking where you'd have to correctly use ingredients and process them correctly, etc. - Gym trainer: Where you help people in the gym. This could give a strength boost to the player working out giving them results faster so they'd have an incentive to hire a trainer. - Lawn maintenance: Where you have to maintain people's lawns and landscape - Cleaning service: Where you clean other players' houses, businesses, yachts, etc. - Regular jobs like managing a store/business, attending doors, bouncer, farm worker, assistant of all types, security, dog walking, etc. Some of these jobs can also be done by AI in the absence of players. 4) Activities: Please for the love of god include A LOT of activities in this game. One of the biggest let downs of GTA 5 was that it had a big map with very little to do. Almost none of the buildings could be entered and a lot of easily programmable activities were not included. Here're my suggestions in this area: - Allow players to enter/explore as many buildings as possible even if they're not directly related to the game. - Allow players to interact with as many things as possible, little things add up and go a long way to significantly increase immersion, a lot of it is easily programmable. In GTA 5 for example they had built a theme park but you could only do two quick activities there even though the structure for much more games/rides/activities were already built. - Sports: Soccer and basketball are the two most important but any additional ones would be welcome. Sports should include skill levels that increase the more you play. Your stamina/endurance/strength would also affect your performance. - Snow/ice activities/sports like hockey, skating, snowboarding, skiing, or just sliding down the mountain on a sled. - Public swimming, tanning, spa, billiards (pool), air hockey, arcade games, cycling, jogging, hiking, camping, kite flying, frisbee, flying drones (with camera if possible), etc. - An extensive gym system with lots of available machines/free weights/treadmills/etc. requiring a player to go through a decent routine and spend some time there regularly to become fit. 5) Businesses: Once again it would be great if you could include as many businesses as possible, some could require a direct player involvement, some could be done by AI. Here're some suggestions: - Parking Garage/Lot: Someplace players can park their cars for a fee, great for busy locations with limited parking space! - Laundromat: Where players can have their clothes washed - Restaurants and cafes - Bars, clubs, and lounges - Internet cafes - Malls, regular stores of all types - Car washes and auto shops - Tanning salons, spa, barber shops, arcades, etc. 6) Other: - College/University: Perhaps you'd need to get a degree for certain jobs like medicine where you're required to sit in long/boring lectures every day for some time before you're qualified. This will ensure only patient/interested players could go through the process to get the job same as real life. - Park-o-meter on some locations? - Online business rating where players can rate businesses. This will ensure the businesses who do a good job get more clients just like in real life. - Game events have consequences in different areas. For example if there is going to be a dynamic stock exchange a business/corporation performance will have affect on its stock price. Or commodity prices fluctuate based on weather/in game events/etc. - Car GPS has real GPS sound with directions not just a line on a map. - There should be AI in the absence of players. If a players is not available to attend a business/job an AI should replace his role. You shouldn't go to an empty business/store/etc. Also some AI could be added to increase population density and have them do boring mundane work regular players wouldn't do. - Video games: There could be video games in the game, you could play on your phone, computer, or in an arcade/internet cafe. 7) Flying: I know this is probably not going to be in the game initially but I think this is too important a field to be completely left out. Perhaps after the initial release when you work on adding even more size to the map you could introduce flying. This game just won't be complete without the ability to fly and it would add an extremely fun career of being a pilot. I've heard there's a plan to double the map's size by adding another island in future DLCs, you could then introduce airports and give the player the ability to travel to the other island by air. Please don't rule out this feature.
  4. Im just curious to see what kind of things people are going to do for work or what kind of business you will try to run.
  5. or make money, do you mean in game? Or money you can use in real life?
  6. Selling & Flipping Cars/Car Theft

My favorite thing to do in games is to steal a nice car off the street and go on a joyride, then flip them for money. My question is, are there going to be any tools in identity that make breaking and entering cars (and other things) easier and/or quicker than just punching the window in? Like a lock-pick kit? And will we be limited to how many cars we can sell? GTA restricts you from selling more than 1 car every 40 something minutes, and you are only able to sell vehicles worth under $80,000, which is sort of unrealistic and a waste of time. I'd like to see an unrestricted, fair means of selling cars for profit. What do you guys think? Also, i really hope that when you commit a crime in Identity, and you're miles away from anyone else, that you don't automatically become wanted... If a bear craps in the woods, and no one is around to hear it, it DOES make a sound. However, that crap DOES NOT set off a Nation-wide alarm.
  7. Common Jobs

There's a lot of careers in this thread that aren't exactly very common, for example Assassins aren't very common around the world. So i wanted to list down a few common jobs that would create more options for a player. White Collar = Office Jobs Blue Collar = Manual Jobs ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -White Collar Jobs- Stock Broker A stockbroker is a regulated professional individual, usually associated with a brokerage firm or broker-dealer, who buys and sells stocks and other securities for both retail and institutional clients, through a stock exchange or over the counter, in return for a fee or commission. Stockbrokers are known by numerous professional designations, depending on the license they hold, the type of securities they sell, or the services they provide Insurance Claims examiners work inside an office to handle the claims filed by those insured. Sometimes, they work with private investigators or adjusters who visit the site or the property for which a claim is filed. This includes workers' compensation, health, liability, automotive, home, property and business insurance. As a claims examiner, you typically require certification for the field of insurance, computer experience and self-motivation and discipline. Accounting Whether you work for an accounting firm or in the accounting department of a business or public entity, there are many types of office jobs in the accounting field. These jobs include file clerks, billing or accounts payable clerks, payroll supervisors, general-ledger accountants, project accountants, accounting managers, supervisors and controllers. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -Blue Collar Jobs- Electrician Specializing in electrical wiring of buildings and related equipment. Electricians may be employed in the construction of new buildings or maintenance of existing electrical infrastructure. Boilermaker Works in nuclear and fossil power plants, shipyards, refineries and chemical plants, on boilers, pressure vessels, and similar equipment. Carpet Layer One who specializes in laying carpet Heavy Equipment operator A driver and operator of heavy equipment used in engineering and construction projects ________________________________________________________________________________________________________
  8. Construction career

I was maybe thinking about like a construction career because i thought maybe if some people want to build an extension to their house which the guys who are part of the construction empire and could pay them for doing so and you could maybe talk about like a progression system for this like working up through the ranks but you could enter it at different types of construction like maybe electrician or technician sort of area; maybe even project managers and directors and stuff which would be higher up. I hope some people would like this idea, and I would love if some people could give me their feedback on this. Samiboi
  9. What do you think of making an airport with Real flight schools where you have to gane a licence to fly or cruise around or legal fishing and a flight agency where you can learn how to be a pilot and simulate flying over to different airports around the Identity world, let's say you open up a little land where you can only access by private small planes and yachts and big boats. small tourist land where you go to shop and host legal fishing competitions, big beach parties. rent villas on the beach , something like Saint Tropez,ibiza,etc.. someplace where you will have to work hard to get there, become a millionaire and buy your own private plane, contrat a pilot that has different licenses like for transporting you on teresteral and water vehiculs and also be a bodyguard. so many open ideas for this project.
  10. MTA SA (Closest to Identity)

MTA SA is basically, Gta SanAndreas multiplayer on PC. There is one server on that game called Cit2. It usually has 800 people on it. Basically no NPC, and 800 real people on the SanAndreas map. There are tons of jobs, Police, ambulance, fireman, garbage man, farmer, fisher, pilot, and criminal. With all of these jobs come custom scripting to make them full. Farmers have custom jobs, and ways to plant things and get money, fisher get boats and do a sort of minigame to actually get fish, and criminals have turfing, different drugs, robbing stores, atms, and houses. Every house on the server is also ownable by a player like identity will be. In case anyone plays the game, pm me.
  11. 911 dispatcher

I have read a few posts about texting the police and other emergency contact issues. I think a dispatcher would be a interesting position. Taking calls and assigning units to handle them would be a difficult but fun job. How viable is this kind of job in Identity?
  12. Farmers!

If we can live off the land why not be a farmer? You can grow your own food. Sell it for a profit, expand land, maybe animals? Get a nice fancy tractor to drive around and a straw hat and overalls! Could be exciting to see all you could do with farming.
  13. With all the crime there must be lawyers . There can be straight laced fighting for the cause lawyers and lawyers that can be crooked and help the Mobs. Governemnt- what type of town will this be? Will there be mayors and political aspects of people who keep order? Could be fun!
  14. Therapy

Im thinking a job in therapy. You can use a single room or open a office. People can come to you and talk out their issues which is what people online like to do anyways. With professional training in this field I'm really thinking of making this a part of the game. Anyone else think this could work?!
  15. I have a question about how jobs/careers would work. I do know there is a promotions idea running around, if not a feature already started on, but how will the promotions system work? Will it branch out and get better and better like in The SimsTM and branch out eventually, life going into either a chef career or a business career when it comes to culinary? I honestly think that would be really cool. I'm also wondering if a promotion will be assigned by a "boss" figure or will it be given to you by the server if you're doing your job right (obviously this one would be a little harder). Thanks!
  16. Striking?

I never heard anyone talk about striking. In identity, it would be cool if say, a lot of people wanted marijuana to be legal, if they could make signs, and walk around the governors office and strike. This ability could also be used in other aspects of the game such as increasing wages for certain jobs.
  17. Hello! Thank you for taking the time to have a look around. Welcome to CORE Transport, we are a Bus, trucking and Delivery corporation, focusing to become your main and #1 in public transport. Trucking and driving coaches is a specialty for us, all of us at Core Transport are enthusiasts of the road ahead, we make promises that we will keep and ensure our service is of the highest quality and wont be beaten. We are already hiring staff which will eventually begin work in the proper application number in-game. I hope you enjoy this comprehensive description of my corporation. Core Transport is a corporation who's main focus will be to become your #1 in transport. Not everyone will afford vehicles in Identity, so we want to give people the opportunity to travel with ease across the Island, the system below is a beta prototype and we will be trying a lot of new things to see what brings more satisfaction to possible future customers. We are happy to be the first announced transport corporation on the old forums, and we had the pleasure of having the first business post in this section of the forums. We are dedicated to our community and we hope to co-work with you all so that you too can build a transit system you would like to see. I started Core Transport because i have a passion in all things moving. A lot of my family are in the logistics and public transport business. Core transport is based on real world collected data, we have several written documents describing how our logistical and public transport system will work on identity based on the information that we have right now, and a special thanks to @Motown for answering a lot of private messages on the site which in turn helped shape Core Transport. We have some exciting news and updates coming shortly, so keep an eye on this section of the forums to be the first to find out new and exclusive information about Core Transport The following is a prototype of our system and how we would like to start off in Identity. ------Description of our Coach / City bus price lists and description of our system------ Once in the game I am planning on making the tickets BASED around these prices: ((CITY / CITY OUTSKIRTS BUS LINES)) - City service -Regular [$3.50]* (The ticket price may vary depending from where to where you are travelling) -Return [$6.50] (This ticket allows you to travel to your destination, and be able to travel back without buying another ticket, the price may also vary) -Day Saver [$25.00] (This ticket allows you to travel as much times as you want PER DAY in a specific ZONE, such as city, or countryside. The price may also vary) -Collaborative [$15.00] (If you are staff or part of a company that are partners with CORE Transport, you will get this ticket, with a discount instead of the Day Saver) -Weekly Bus Pass [$150.00]* (If you do the calculations -per day- this ticket will save you money if you travel with us a lot, the price may also vary.) -Event Pass [$450.00]* (Hosting an event? need transportation for ALL your guests? hire a CORE Bus with one of our bus drivers, and make as much trips as you want, from anywhere to anywhere in ONE day, this deal may have discounts) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ((INTER CITY/COACH LINES)) - Inter City service -Inter City One way [$39.00] (Priority boarding = extra [$5.50]* -Inter City Two way [45.00] (Priority boarding = extra [$10.00]* -Inter City Worker pass [$100.00] (Unlimited trips for TWO Days.) (Priority boarding = extra [$10.00] -Inter City Collaborative [$26.00]* (Priority boarding = extra [$10.00]) (This is the city worker pass, at a discounted price for Co. Partners) One baggage = [$4.50]* Two baggage's = [$8.50]* Three baggage's = [$12.00]* (Prices may vary from time to time) (Special offers will be held for ALL of the above*) On-board meals will be served free of charge if travelling over 80km2* ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (DAILY SPECIAL DEALS, OFFERS, AND MILES) If you travel daily with CORE Transport, for every mile you earn on your membership card, you earn points, point can later be redeemed to have free bus trips, free meals, free priority boarding or free baggage's. Every week, CORE Transport has a Friday and Sunday special which offers you a TWO WAY trips with any Inter city coach, for only $35.00, price includes vat, baggage and parking (if any) -----------Description of our Logistics system and how it works----------- Logistics - Deliveries and their cost: The way we will be calculating our deliveries cost is not by weight or type of goods but rather by how much room it will take in the truck trailer / van. Space in the truck trailer and van are divided into 6 zones, the costs would be as followed: SPACES 1 = 50$ | 4 = 400 2 = 150$ | 5 = 750 3 = 250$ | 6 = 1,000 Prices will be negotiable, and this is all a prototype. all feedback is much appreciated. Roles and procedures of the Logistical Driver. (1) The Depot: Drivers will collect their asset (vehicle) belonging to the C.T. Corporation at the start of their shift after the yard master / secretary* gives them their Driver Reference Nr and permission to depart from the Yard, once the driver receives his/her instructions then departure is permitted by the Security Guard. (2) The warehouse: The warehouse operators would be loading the truck before the driver arrives. Small vans or other truck drivers would be assigned to bring smaller goods to a company owned warehouse where the customers goods would be distributed to their final location. But it is possible to deliver directly from Factory > Destination if the payment reaches minimum for that process to occur. Its an important job to ensure that goods are loaded efficiently and effectively. (3) Secure Driver Procedure: When any driver enters a yard or distribution centre a driver number must be given, along with the vehicles registration plates and what kind of cargo is being transported. Core Transport is a 100% legal company and it is up to the Security Officer to ensure that no illegal contraband is ever transported. Heavy fines would apply for any contraband that would be attempted to transport. When trucks arrive and depart they are heavily checked by security officers to ensure the safety of the driver and compliance with the law. Dockets would be printed out for drivers with ALL the information they need to take off. This is not the finalized version of the C.T. system description. a logo and the full description will be uploaded in weeks to come.
  18. Hello! Thank you for taking the time to have a look around. Welcome to CORE Transport, we are a Bus and Delivery trucking company, focusing to become your main and #1 in public transport. Bellow you will find proper information and the applications form, which can be messaged to me or posted in the comments bellow. Information And Facts: -Even before identity is released, CORE Transport will already be offering prices as low as $20* -CORE Transport aims to be the heart of all public transportation with anything that identity has to offer, it is mainly a public transport and trucking company but a delivery service will be available. -CORE Transport's Depot's and Stations wont be just for CORE transport, they will be available to any other company that will need a location/system to work on and use. -To invest into CORE Transport, please contact Myself @Air -An updated version of this post will come out as more information on the game is released and also once my PC is fixed so that i may upload the logo and an advanced version of this post. Here at CORE Transport, we have the following ranks in order, here they are listed with specific details. Co-CEO Director of Operations Depot Manager Ticketing Officer Dispatch Officer Coach Driver Commercial Driver Bus Driver Security Guard Secretary More jobs may become available as information of Identity is released --------------------------------- JOB DESCRIPTIONS ---------------------------------------- -The CEO: There is only one CEO and that is myself, Astonair (Air for short) I handle all the advertisement's, designs and business relations with other company's -The Director of Operations is the man in charge of ensuring that the Depots and destinations are running perfectly clear, the DO (Director of Operations) will also create and manage bus lines, bus lines that are beaming will have more vehicles assigned, rather than those which may have one bus to multiple locations less frequently. -The Depot Manager ensures that CORE Transport always has the perfect prices for passengers and Cargo Delivery customers. The Manager also manages the advert campaign of CORE Transport, but this does not include other control over other commercial company's adverts. The manager must ensure that staff are working at full capacity to make sure the system is fast and sleek - to be hassle free for all customers. -Ticketing Officer, this is the person that firstly sells tickets in the ticket office / booth and writes down all the correct details on a special ticket that will be handed to the Passengers, the passengers would hold on to this ticket with a special serial key and regular information to be checked before boarding the bus, serial keys are written down and there can only be one like it (anti-scam system) In more rural areas or less visited locations, the ticket officer comes along for a ride with the driver, to sell and check tickets before passengers board the bus. The ticket officer will be using the Microphone system the most for sure, announcing arrivals, departures and other information to take the strain of a Dispatch Officer. Ticketing officers also go onto city buses to check tickets of passengers, as policy states that people can sometimes get on with no ticket checking, ticketing officers will get on buses at random times to ensure that people are not riding on the bus illegally. -The Dispatch Officer is a job for people who would rather have an office job, this jobs main priority is to keep tabs on what CORE vehicles (Buses, truck's, vans, other company's vehicles) and to ensure that they arrive and depart at proper times, buses would be directed to proper platforms, and most of the time, you will be using the Microphone System to announce arrivals / departures / info. -Coach driver, the name said it all for me, but here is some information anyway's: The Coach driver job is the most important and critical job in the whole company, as it is the heart and the reason for being (of the company) Coach drivers don't drive in the cities and towns, they driver to and from cities and towns having only one or two stops in each city/town before proceeding on its long distance away to the destination(s), it is the job of the driver to ensure that passengers are safe at all times, and that the driver always announces stops, updates and other information via microphone, Coach drivers are careful drivers, to ensure maximum safety and efficiency for the Passengers. -Commercial Driver, this is a driver that drives Trucks and Vans to deliver goods, depending on the good's size and demand, the Van will be a more likely option, or truck for long distance / high quantity loads. This driver does not need to worry about passengers, but needs to focus on its load, to ensure that the trailer (if any) is always secure, there is no one in the trailer (if possible) and that the transport of drugs is not tolerated. If departing from a CORE Depot, a security guard will always check and secure the cargo. (always on time) -Bus drivers, you might think that this is the same as a coach driver, but it is not, type Bus into Google images and then coach, the both have clear differences. A bus driver would drive a bus of different design (if any) around the more dense areas of the game such as cities and larger towns. A bus never leaves a cities / towns boarders unless it is an N/A service approved to move to another location. Bus drivers are in-charge of selling tickets to the passengers. If there are few passengers at a stop, the driver must find time to sell tickets, if its pact with people on a stop, the driver can let people right on to prevent time-loss. The bus driver cannot have chats with passengers while driving unless it is a general question or a request to buy tickets. -Security Guards always patrol around main areas where the CORE Transport company operates such as major bus stops or company commercial Depots, other than making sure no harm is brought to people when in large groups, guards check trucks before they depart for any Illegal consistencies or people on the back of the truck. Once the load is secured, the Guard gives the all go for the driver. -Secretary Manages all the messages / complaints / reservations / enquiry. All information is provided to secretaries so that Passengers/customers questions can be answered efficiently. These people usually work in a ticket officer or regular office. -Application Format- Forums name: Real age (must be over 15): In-game name (to-be): Character Age (required): Legal or Illegal?: LEGAL[ ] ILLEGAL[ ] What position are you interested in?: Why do you want to work as that position?: Why should we pick you over any other applicant?: Do you have a working mic?: YES[ ] NO[ ] Do you know the basics of RP?: YES[ ] NO[ ] How active will you be on a scale of 1 - 10?: SIGNATURE:
