  1. With all the crime there must be lawyers . There can be straight laced fighting for the cause lawyers and lawyers that can be crooked and help the Mobs. Governemnt- what type of town will this be? Will there be mayors and political aspects of people who keep order? Could be fun!
  2. Hello reader @Motown, First of all, I would like to start by saying that I mean 0 disrespect and I have full respect for the devs and them writing the threads. I think that they just couldn't put in enough detail but they were in a rush or maybe just by mistake were a little bit vague. In a post of yours you said this " Players can choose from a wide range of professions, including the ability to become a Firefighter, EMT, Taxi Driver, Farmer, Bounty Hunter, Fisherman, Logger, Miner, Delivery Driver and even a business entrepreneur. The options available to you as a player get more specific than this even, but we aren’t yet ready to expand on the full list. The direction of development is prone to change, and we don’t want to promise anything that might change down the pipeline. Business ownership allows players to own factories and small business, giving them control over what items are manufactured and sold. Items created by a factory must be delivered to their destination city where store owners in that area can decide what quantity and type (formal wear, casual, punk outfits, weapons, etc.) they wish to list in their business. Some default items are always available in all stores for when market demand is not met" Although most of this is a very good idea, there is something that I would like to address and get your opinion on. Especially this part "Bounty Hunter" I have a few questions I would like to ask and would greatly appreciate if you could answer them for me. Of course any member is allowed to give their input but I am mostly looking for the devs and @Motown for their opinion. 1. Will the bounty hunter job be an illegal thing where you go around and kill people that have a bounty on them. 2. Will there be any RP involved in this arresting/killing. If not then it kind of deters the point of the same in the sense that bounty hunters with money will get sniper rifles and just shoot down their target with no RP and will just cause drama and debates on whether or not that was allowed or blah blah blah. 3. Could you please elaborate in detail on what you mean by "Bounty Hunter". Different people have different definitions of a bounty hunter. Some think that a bounty hunter is someone who works for the police and captures highly wanted criminals. Some people see a bounty hunter as basically a hitman. You tell them who you want dead, and they go kill him. Secondly, the big corporations are a very good idea but I think that they will either have very little influence on the game or way too much, here's why: Corporations are big companies that own a lot of other companies. The people in these companies are at the top of the top and most of them will stay that way until the end of their days. On top of all the power that they have, they have influence. So in this game, the biggest of the biggest corporations will either have too much power and in return, there won't be much of a chance for the smaller companies to get larger and develop. It will be very limited to a few people that control a lot of money and have almost all the power in the world. Speaking of power, if they were ever sent to court on any accounts, would bribery be allowed? Would the biggest corporations be allowed to bribe judges and live free and happy for the rest of their days just because they have money? I don't think anyone would want a big corporation to be able to do that. Although this happens all the time in real life (corruption) I believe that this should have a post dedicated to and the community should be able to become a solid conclusion Finally, if any dev or game founder would like to adress any of this, it would be greatly appreciated Yours forever ~Dickbutt
  3. Strip Club?

This is just a suggestion, Kinda? There are many opportunities to make money by working hard and putting in the man hours, however what if you could use your looks to make you money. What if we could have a strip club in the game where people can become strippers and "perform" for other people. It would add other ways to make money in the game. The strip club would of course have its own tipping system for people who are enjoying the performance to pay a little extra.
  4. Hello Identity Community! Education: I was wondering, will there be an education system where a player would need to graduate school, college or university in order to get the career of their choice? Would the player need to have certain qualifications in order to apply for certain career paths? Career: Would a player need to be appointed by the governor or elected by the people to be the Police Commissioner, Emergency Services Director, Fire Chief, DEA Director and so on? How would one be promoted in the game? How long would a player be able to be the Police Commissioner, Emergency Services Director, Fire Chief, DEA Director and so on for? How long would a player be able to be the Governor? and how many terms can they run for? I have a million and one questions for this game as i am so excited about it and want to know as much as possible in order to have the best possible experience.
  5. Introduction: I've known about this Game since the Trailer was released and I'm excited because i've been waiting for a Game like this since a longtime I've played AtlisLife, DarkRP, other small RPG games. I liked some Elements from each different game. I don't know how the Play-style of this game will be like but If it's really a real life simulator (not quests and orders), These aspect would be amazing if implemented. School/Academy This came into my mind, and i saw it in some small RPG Games, Where if your goal is to have a certain Job, You take actual small lessons, Like if you want to become a policeman, someone RP'ing as an experienced/teacher should tell you notes and tips (maybe about how to behave in certain situations) that you would be asked about when applying to the job itself, that proves if a guy is worthy for the job or not. I don't know what kind of jobs are going to be implemented ofc, But maybe you have to take classes about business if you wanna become like a business man or a shop owner. Classes about math for people who wanna work at banks. You get the point *(i hope)* Gym (Physique/Strength) Some Jobs needs a Guy with strength and good Physique, For people who want to become Gangsters, Policemen or Bodyguards So you subscribe to a gym (which should cost virtual money) to get in the shape the job needs, It needs time of-course. So a ''player'' should work as any other simple job to get money at first like a janitor or street sweeper till he meets the qualification for a certain job. Thats pretty much it, Oh and I have some: Some Job suggestions -actor/play-writer *if there was a theater in the map* -food delivery guy / chef -arms dealer
  6. Will it be possible to work in 2 jobs ? like policeman and fireman or to work for police\government and be in terror organisation and leak police\government information for the terror or reverse ? Thank you.
  7. Airport Jobs

I think it would be fun to work at an airport so they should include works as ground staff, tower personell and other important ground staff they should allso include pilots and flight attendens. Got any more jobs you think is mportant for airport operation?
  8. Therapy

Im thinking a job in therapy. You can use a single room or open a office. People can come to you and talk out their issues which is what people online like to do anyways. With professional training in this field I'm really thinking of making this a part of the game. Anyone else think this could work?!
  9. Amount of jobs available

Hey, I see that a lot of people want to become cops and that kind of stuff but won't you get a lot of people with the same jobs and that kind of stuff in a single session or will there be a limit amount of jobs for (example) cops, firefighters, because this kind of confuses me. thanks (I don't know if this is already talked about but I couldn't find a topic about this)
  10. Common Jobs

There's a lot of careers in this thread that aren't exactly very common, for example Assassins aren't very common around the world. So i wanted to list down a few common jobs that would create more options for a player. White Collar = Office Jobs Blue Collar = Manual Jobs ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -White Collar Jobs- Stock Broker A stockbroker is a regulated professional individual, usually associated with a brokerage firm or broker-dealer, who buys and sells stocks and other securities for both retail and institutional clients, through a stock exchange or over the counter, in return for a fee or commission. Stockbrokers are known by numerous professional designations, depending on the license they hold, the type of securities they sell, or the services they provide Insurance Claims examiners work inside an office to handle the claims filed by those insured. Sometimes, they work with private investigators or adjusters who visit the site or the property for which a claim is filed. This includes workers' compensation, health, liability, automotive, home, property and business insurance. As a claims examiner, you typically require certification for the field of insurance, computer experience and self-motivation and discipline. Accounting Whether you work for an accounting firm or in the accounting department of a business or public entity, there are many types of office jobs in the accounting field. These jobs include file clerks, billing or accounts payable clerks, payroll supervisors, general-ledger accountants, project accountants, accounting managers, supervisors and controllers. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -Blue Collar Jobs- Electrician Specializing in electrical wiring of buildings and related equipment. Electricians may be employed in the construction of new buildings or maintenance of existing electrical infrastructure. Boilermaker Works in nuclear and fossil power plants, shipyards, refineries and chemical plants, on boilers, pressure vessels, and similar equipment. 12. Construction career

I was maybe thinking about like a construction career because i thought maybe if some people want to build an extension to their house which the guys who are part of the construction empire and could pay them for doing so and you could maybe talk about like a progression system for this like working up through the ranks but you could enter it at different types of construction like maybe electrician or technician sort of area; maybe even project managers and directors and stuff which would be higher up. I hope some people would like this idea, and I would love if some people could give me their feedback on this. Samiboi
  13. I have recently heard of this game and have been psyched ever since. I've been waiting for a game like this all of my life but no one has ever been able to deliver. Identity has the best chance of making my dream game come true so I desperately hope at least some of my suggestions can be implemented in the game. 1) Freedom of Choice: This is the most important aspect of the game I'm looking forward to. I've always wanted to play a game that is focused mainly on the Sims aspect of real life as opposed to a game like GTA 5 that is basically just a game focused on criminality with limited option to do anything else. I want to have the freedom to lead my own life without being forced to engage in any type of activity. I know Identity is being built mainly as a police/criminal type of game but the ability to add non-criminal gameplay in addition to the detailed Sims aspect of the game makes this game ideal. My main suggestion here is please focus more on the non-criminal aspect of the game, try to make non-police non-criminal aspects/activities/careers of the game just as detailed and comprehensive if possible. 2) Realism: Realism is another big issue for me, making the game as real as possible would be perfect. My suggestions here are making the day/night cycle much longer than in GTA 5. You want to really enjoy each time of day without it passing by in just a few short minutes. I wouldn't even mind having to wait for my character to sleep for a decent while at nights if that's what it takes. I understand some players may not want this so having different servers with different settings could accommodate all types of players. Other suggestions are realistic walking/running speed unlike GTA 5 where first person mode always had you running. Realistic stamina so you wouldn't be able to run indefinitely like in GTA 5. Realistic season changes if possible. Realistic trash/waste/dirt forcing the player to do regular cleanup of the house/office, putting out trash, and washing clothes/etc. Bigger city sizes: if possible please make the cities bigger than Los Santos in GTA 5. Though Los Santos had a decent size a bigger city would be a lot more immersive and fun especially with lots of available activities. 3) Careers/Jobs: Please try to add as many different jobs/careers as possible. This is extremely important in giving the player freedom of choice and lots of options to explore. It will really increase the game's replayability. Here're some suggestions: - Doctor: Instead of having an EMT that heals players it would be a lot more fun if you had an ambulance driver who'd delivery emergency patients to a hospital where a player doctor would do the healing/surgery/etc. The doctor could take care of both "dead"/severely injured players as well as treat regular patients with common sicknesses. - Financial manager: Someone who will invest/trade for other players assuming there will be a decent and dynamic stock/commodity exchange in the game. - Garbage man: Assuming there would be trash in the game, waste management worker(s) could take everyone's trash once a week using a garbage truck. - Postal worker: Instead of delivering mail directly have a post office where the post office worker receives and delivers all player mails. - Regular office work that could somehow relate to other aspects/jobs in the game (examples> DMV where players would need to renew their registration/license/get car inspections/etc. Insurance worker, realtor, accountant, etc.) - Hotel manager: Assuming there will be hotels/motels where players could stay when out of town. - News reporter/anchor: You could be a reporter or anchor either filming real in game events or reporting on them, could include weather, business, and sports news as well. - Cook: With real cooking where you'd have to correctly use ingredients and process them correctly, etc. - Gym trainer: Where you help people in the gym. This could give a strength boost to the player working out giving them results faster so they'd have an incentive to hire a trainer. - Lawn maintenance: Where you have to maintain people's lawns and landscape - Cleaning service: Where you clean other players' houses, businesses, yachts, etc. - Regular jobs like managing a store/business, attending doors, bouncer, farm worker, assistant of all types, security, dog walking, etc. Some of these jobs can also be done by AI in the absence of players. 4) Activities: Please for the love of god include A LOT of activities in this game. One of the biggest let downs of GTA 5 was that it had a big map with very little to do. Almost none of the buildings could be entered and a lot of easily programmable activities were not included. Here're my suggestions in this area: - Allow players to enter/explore as many buildings as possible even if they're not directly related to the game. - Allow players to interact with as many things as possible, little things add up and go a long way to significantly increase immersion, a lot of it is easily programmable. In GTA 5 for example they had built a theme park but you could only do two quick activities there even though the structure for much more games/rides/activities were already built. - Sports: Soccer and basketball are the two most important but any additional ones would be welcome. Sports should include skill levels that increase the more you play. Your stamina/endurance/strength would also affect your performance. - Snow/ice activities/sports like hockey, skating, snowboarding, skiing, or just sliding down the mountain on a sled. - Public swimming, tanning, spa, billiards (pool), air hockey, arcade games, cycling, jogging, hiking, camping, kite flying, frisbee, flying drones (with camera if possible), etc. - An extensive gym system with lots of available machines/free weights/treadmills/etc. requiring a player to go through a decent routine and spend some time there regularly to become fit. 5) Businesses: Once again it would be great if you could include as many businesses as possible, some could require a direct player involvement, some could be done by AI. Here're some suggestions: - Parking Garage/Lot: Someplace players can park their cars for a fee, great for busy locations with limited parking space! - Laundromat: Where players can have their clothes washed - Restaurants and cafes - Bars, clubs, and lounges - Internet cafes - Malls, regular stores of all types - Car washes and auto shops - Tanning salons, spa, barber shops, arcades, etc. 6) Other: - College/University: Perhaps you'd need to get a degree for certain jobs like medicine where you're required to sit in long/boring lectures every day for some time before you're qualified. This will ensure only patient/interested players could go through the process to get the job same as real life. - Park-o-meter on some locations? - Online business rating where players can rate businesses. This will ensure the businesses who do a good job get more clients just like in real life. - Game events have consequences in different areas. For example if there is going to be a dynamic stock exchange a business/corporation performance will have affect on its stock price. Or commodity prices fluctuate based on weather/in game events/etc. - Car GPS has real GPS sound with directions not just a line on a map. - There should be AI in the absence of players. If a players is not available to attend a business/job an AI should replace his role. You shouldn't go to an empty business/store/etc. Also some AI could be added to increase population density and have them do boring mundane work regular players wouldn't do. - Video games: There could be video games in the game, you could play on your phone, computer, or in an arcade/internet cafe. 7) Flying: I know this is probably not going to be in the game initially but I think this is too important a field to be completely left out. Perhaps after the initial release when you work on adding even more size to the map you could introduce flying. This game just won't be complete without the ability to fly and it would add an extremely fun career of being a pilot. I've heard there's a plan to double the map's size by adding another island in future DLCs, you could then introduce airports and give the player the ability to travel to the other island by air. Please don't rule out this feature.
  14. Im just curious to see what kind of things people are going to do for work or what kind of business you will try to run.
  15. or make money, do you mean in game? Or money you can use in real life?
  16. Selling & Flipping Cars/Car Theft

My favorite thing to do in games is to steal a nice car off the street and go on a joyride, then flip them for money. My question is, are there going to be any tools in identity that make breaking and entering cars (and other things) easier and/or quicker than just punching the window in? Like a lock-pick kit? And will we be limited to how many cars we can sell? GTA restricts you from selling more than 1 car every 40 something minutes, and you are only able to sell vehicles worth under $80,000, which is sort of unrealistic and a waste of time. I'd like to see an unrestricted, fair means of selling cars for profit. What do you guys think? Also, i really hope that when you commit a crime in Identity, and you're miles away from anyone else, that you don't automatically become wanted... If a bear craps in the woods, and no one is around to hear it, it DOES make a sound. However, that crap DOES NOT set off a Nation-wide alarm.
  17. What do you think of making an airport with Real flight schools where you have to gane a licence to fly or cruise around or legal fishing and a flight agency where you can learn how to be a pilot and simulate flying over to different airports around the Identity world, let's say you open up a little land where you can only access by private small planes and yachts and big boats. small tourist land where you go to shop and host legal fishing competitions, big beach parties. rent villas on the beach , something like Saint Tropez,ibiza,etc.. someplace where you will have to work hard to get there, become a millionaire and buy your own private plane, contrat a pilot that has different licenses like for transporting you on teresteral and water vehiculs and also be a bodyguard. so many open ideas for this project.
  18. I have a question about how jobs/careers would work. I do know there is a promotions idea running around, if not a feature already started on, but how will the promotions system work? Will it branch out and get better and better like in The SimsTM and branch out eventually, life going into either a chef career or a business career when it comes to culinary? I honestly think that would be really cool. I'm also wondering if a promotion will be assigned by a "boss" figure or will it be given to you by the server if you're doing your job right (obviously this one would be a little harder). Thanks!
  19. Striking?

I never heard anyone talk about striking. In identity, it would be cool if say, a lot of people wanted marijuana to be legal, if they could make signs, and walk around the governors office and strike. This ability could also be used in other aspects of the game such as increasing wages for certain jobs.
