Identity's development has been moving at a pace we've never experienced in the past. With added full-time programming and art talent, we've been able to produce more content in a shorter time than expected. With all of the base features of Town Square in place, we've now been building up the supporting systems; the menu interfaces, server selection systems, character creation and more are well underway now. You'll get a good preview of the character customization soon! Ridable bicycle; work in progress Some exciting progress is also being seen beyond the Town Square! Our vehicle systems are starting to get fleshed out. We found the integrated Unreal Engine vehicle subsystems to be inadequate for the realism and fidelity we seek, so Identity will run on an entirely rebuilt vehicle physics engine. With this you can expect extremely realistic handling of bicycles, cars, vans, motorcycles, semi-trucks and more. We've got the Twitch Game development is an exciting career that many gamers aspire for. Just a couple of weeks ago we had test run streaming our development live on Twitch. In our first stream, our character artist Miroslav added different eyebrow varieties to Identity character head models. These are some of the eyebrow options you'll be able to choose when creating your characters; get an inside look at the work which goes into even a small detail as this. While the task Miroslav had at the time might not have been the most exciting, we're in the process of setting up a schedule for very regular streams from a variety of development departments. Keep an eye on Twitter and Facebook for stream time announcements. Click the preview below to watch the recorded stream. It runs at just under an hour in duration. Identity's first Dev Stream: Miroslav's Eyebrows You can find our Twitch channel at Twitch.tv/IdentityRPG. Follow us there to get notified when an Identity developer starts streaming! Path to the Town Square Town Square early revision; work in progress A lot of Town Square work has been accomplished since the last dev blog! From interface to animations and more feature polish, the Town Square is shaping up into a genuinely interesting social environment. We've been making everything we can in the environment interactive. If it looks like it would have some sort of purpose in reality, we're making it useful (or at least entertaining) in Identity, too! Grab a newspaper for the latest happenings, toss a coin into the fountain or grab a can of soda from the machine. Visual dynamics have been added as well. Simple things bring immersion to the environment. The clocks on buildings and towers show the real in-game time, the cinema marquee sign shows the movies playing with real times (which can be adjusted by owners of community servers in retail Identity) and more. We're making the Identity environment, and thus that in Town Square, feel alive and interactive. A hotel lobby at night -- John VanderZwet

I don't see why you're disappointed. If housing wasn't instanced, everyone walking past the house would have to load all of the data going on inside the house, which would create server lag. That's why they are instancing the cinema etc, so that people walking by's games won't lag.

DATE POSTED: March 24th, 2017 Big changes for a bigger world! What a crazy time for the Identity development team over here at Asylum! We've been running all over the place for conferences and expos this month, including both GDC and PAX East, where we met all sorts of new talent and potential technology partners. We've unfortunately had to push back the release of the Town Square module from our original Q1 2017 release with all of the big developments here, but most systems are in place and it's not far off! The biggest and most exciting news we're officially announcing today is a new partnership with Improbable, the creators of SpatialOS! The Identity team has been testing the waters with SpatialOS for a couple of months now and we're incredibly excited about what it's going to mean for Identity. Identity can now be what we all hoped it would be, a true MMORPG in scale. SpatialOS is going to power Identity behind the scenes, allowing absolutely enormous scale for our world and the people playing in it. While we had originally hoped to be able to get 300 people into our servers with decent performance, with just a tiny bit more effort we're going to be able to expand that as far as the game needs. Instead of 300 players in a single server, we could now potentially have thousands. The size of our servers are now going to be set based on what we feel is ideal for a fun and immersive environment and we're not limited technically like we were expecting in the past. It opens more doors than simply the number of players on a server, too. With these changes we can now afford to have a more dynamic and interactive world. We've gained some freedom in manipulating the world and we can create features which we never imagined possible in a game of Identity's scale. This is all extremely exciting for the team. This technology is a scope-changer and Identity is going to be far better for it. Not only will our world grow, not only will the population be denser, but you'll even be able to leave your mark in many new ways. Development charging forward Concept art for Town Square art gallery and library, featuring player content We're working and expanding at an incredible rate. All key gameplay features for Town Square are now functional as we add polish and work to support SpatialOS in Identity. The development team has expanded with terrific new talent: Antoine joins Identity's 3D art team, Cody comes on board as a new systems and gameplay programmer and Liam comes in as our first dedicated web developer. Antoine and Cody both bring experience in their field to hasten development for Town Square and Identity as a whole. Liam's talents mean exciting new features on our website will be popping up soon. We've had plenty planned for our website for some time but haven't had the resources to bring these to you, until now.

Disregard this post, and it's contents. I'm working on a new character concept. Which hopefully will be much cooler! While, I was always aware there would be no FBI available in the game since before I made these. I never intended to take it as far as I did. Anyway, thanks for all the great RP. And I'll hope to see you all in the Social Module on March, 21st! (Click the images to enlarge.) Out-Of-Character Please note, this is an In-character document, available only to the police force. However, I don't mind if any outside sources should get their hands on this, and possibly use it against my character. It's all a part of the fun and games, and any good RP story needs something dramatic. I would also really love some feedback on these documents. Please know I reserve the right to change these documents at any time, without notice. Feel free to post here, or PM me with any questions. You can also view the whole high-quality album here. Thank you!

My top 5 biggest annoyances in any multilayer role play game. The Russian - people who do a bad Russian accent to seem more menacing. The mute - people who have no mic in 2017, but there character 'has no voice anyway' so it's alright. (How many people have you EVER met that are mute) The mass murderer / hardened military person - the guy who goes round killing everyone, then tries to role play it out, because they think it's fun to ruin everyone else's experience. These people are always dripping in camo clothing and have had world class gun training (how realistic). The drug dealer - fair enough, these role play games are generally based around drug smuggling and making money illigally (I think identity is no exception) but this character is always VERY overplayed. I've never, EVER met a drug dealer IRL, but hey, maybe I live on the nice side of town? God mode - the players who turn every situation around (using role play, usually text chat) to benefit their own character. These people never seem to die or get injured because they always have a trick up there sleeve like "picks lock and escapes unharmed". Personally, if the interaction is fun / funny / interesting, and I end up dieing to good role play, it's more fun than surviving through shoddy workarounds. On the whole, these games or servers are normally ruined by people with a lack of imagination. Poor imagination is ok! But using poor role play on top of that becomes very frustrating for other people. That's why I like role play on Twitch, it's not that server rules protect from bad experiences, it's that the level of quality role play is much higher because there is an audience. I'm not salty, im just bored of seeing huge potential ruined by unrealistic encounters and interactions. Discuss?

Hi! I'm Chris, and I love this idea of this game. This sounds really awesome. I can't wait to get started the day the first module is released. If anyone wants to hang out when the game starts up hit me up and I'd love to chill.

I think the official servers probably won't reset after the full game is released like other games do, because it will be hard enough to get money and start off and having things reset could lose people with interests to play still because they do soo much to just lose it after a certain amount of time and that is not worth to keep doing I think.

I am happy to offer help and guidance where needed. I'm not sure how well being a business owner and campaign manager for the governor would work out, at least not without the suggestion of corruption, but I'll give it a go. I intend to be transparent as a business anyway.

As a well armed American myself, I have issue with being told that I'm only allowed one. Provided you have a clean criminal record and obey the laws, you should be able to own whatever you choose, and however many you are willing to buy and can afford. One option isn't enough, especially in a game like this - I may be killed and my firearm stolen, and because I don't have another to fall back on, I have to wait until I can afford another to be able to protect myself. This leaves me in vulnerable position. This also doesn't address gun ownership clearly. Is this protection limited to private property only? Private property in this game is the safest of all places, and protection in your private home isn't something that is really required - it's out in public that it is needed. My home is safe, my business and activities outside of my home are very dangerous. Will open or concealed carry be allowed in public places? Another question revolves around whether you support stand-your-ground or duty-to-retreat. Am I allowed to defend myself when I need to, and what will be viewed as justifiable homicide in the case where I'm forced to defend myself? I plan to own a business, and will regularly be in public places as well as my place of business. Will I be allowed to defend my business property as well? In America we are a Constitutional Republic. Elected officials are elected to represent the people, and do so within the laws of the constitution. We also get to vote in or out the bills we support or reject. What you're suggesting is quite the opposite of this. Yes, you did state that "voting will still exist," however you also stated that "the leader gives the final yes or no." Basically you're offering the illusion of choice though there really isn't any. The people may vote in favor of something, and you are within your rights to turn around and reject it because you as an individual don't support it - a total dictatorship. The same may happen in reverse, say a tax rate increase - the people vote to reject the increase, though since you are actually the one to decide what is accepted or rejected, you turn around and accept and implement the tax rate increase that everyone else rejected. This is rather distressing to think about. Also, you don't currently have a clear set constitution defining the laws you claim you will abide by. While it does seem you are developing something as you speak with your citizens, learn and grow, it's difficult to support someone claiming to abide by a constitution that isn't agreed upon and one that changes frequently. What I agree to support you for may be wiped away tomorrow. Is healthcare something that will be forced on the populace, or will it be an option? Will you be fining people for not purchasing it, similar to the AHCA fiasco? Also, who exactly insures this healthcare, the government? You won't even have any competition to compete with, and you'll basically be forcing your citizens to buy your product. Being forced to do something never works out well - you need to provide the option and not force it. I will be running a business and will require resources to make my business work. Does this mean that if my business isn't part of your 'central plan' I can effectively be snuffed out due to a lack of resources? If say I intend to make high quality materials and clothing, but a competitor plans to make cheap, mass produced clothing, they'll be entitled to the resources rather than me? I don't have an issue with using resources wisely, however to monopolize and pull resources from people that you don't deem worthy of them isn't something I'm a fan of. I have issue with government own businesses, especially when these businesses are necessary and have a guaranteed market. You're basically taking the best businesses for yourself and declaring that no one else is allowed to compete with you. To build a healthy economy you need competition to ensure prices stay low and aren't stagnant. Allowing competitors with the knowledge and experience to make these businesses work will help the economy as a whole. Again the 'central plan' is mentioned, and you claim that businesses have to follow your particular plan for production and hiring. It sounds more like you plan to run a large corporation rather than lead the people. The people should not be treated like just another resource at your disposal. Also, you state that you will create laws, regulations and directives to enforce the central plan, however as you've stated previously, the people really won't have any say in what laws, regulations and directives are implemented. I can definitely see offering incentives to meet the needs you set forth, leading people to be more inclined to follow your plan and help you meet your goals, but outright forcing them to will only create an angry populace. If people are forced to adhere to your vision, and not allowed the freedom to follow their own plan, you'll have a lot of bankrupt businesses and many citizens moving to find somewhere that allows them to. Again, I have problems with the government destroying what it deems is unnecessary or unworthy - it literally makes me shiver. I don't need my government telling me what I do or do not need. If there is consumer demand for something that is legal, this demand should be allowed to be met - you'll still profit off of the taxes accrued through these businesses. A shadow economy or black market should never develop for legal products, and is a sign of a very sick economy. Not only will it negatively impact your approval and your economy, but you will also lose the ability to profit off of the demand. You're also claiming that you will "assign" people to specific jobs and demand that they do them. The only people who can do that are your employers and military leaders. The people are neither your employees nor your soldiers. However, if you give your people something worth fighting for, they'll do it willingly. Again, incentives should be used to lead people to particular jobs, not a government mandate. These incentives can be anything from tax cuts, startup funds, monthly incentives, housing assistance, free insurance coverage, etc. If you want to be truly successful, you need to lead people where you want them to go, not herd them there like a bunch of cattle. While I agree that the 10% tax across the board is probably the fairest way, and I really don't even have issue with the additional 10% tax on businesses, but how exactly will you ensure that everyone pays their fair share? Do you have access to income and earning records, or will you just take people at their word? Identity doesn't have an IRS as far as I know. I applaud your harsh stance on criminal behavior, though I don't believe it will deter anyone from committing to a life of crime. Criminals clearly won't be paying their taxes. Will the money or product recovered from these criminals be returned to their original owners, or will they be placed in the government funds? Will the fines charged to the criminals also end up in the government funds like taxes? If you've stuck with me this long, you're definitely committed. You did ask me to point out the specifics that bother me, and I did so. If I have a question or concern about something, odds are others do as well. I honestly didn't mean to rip apart your policies, and I apologize if it seems that way as that was not my intention. I am very politically active in real life and truly enjoy political discussions, so I do tend to get carried away. I realize that this is just a game, but I am still just as passionate about fictitious politics as I am real politics. You are definitely one of the first politicians I noticed. You are very active and responsive, are open to change and new ideas, and that is a big bonus. You also accept responsibility for poor choices and have accountability that others lack, and that's another big bonus. You also have a well developed and organized political plan that is easy to follow, and that helps greatly when you're attempting to get a feel for the candidate. Again, I apologize if I came off as harsh in my criticism. I tried to address my concerns as respectfully as possible, though I may have failed in this. Provided some of my questions are cleared up, and perhaps some changes are made, you may well have my endorsement.

I would understand wiping after beta, but wiping randomly throughout the release of the game would suck! Imagine have hundreds of hours logged into something and then just having it all gone. That would suck a lot. I hope they don't do that.

I don't see why you need to be able to break into people's houses in order to accomplish your objective through force. Let's say for example two player groups are in a gang war. If one side forces the other to have to hide in their houses and log off for two weeks, that side has won.

Day 1: 0700 AM - Washington, DC - Zoey's Apartment I woke up to the sound of my alarm, it was a particularly sunny beautiful day. Ellie Goulding - Starry Eyed was playing on the radio. I went straight to my kitchen, made myself a cup of coffee, as I took a shower. Day 1: 0930 AM - Washington, DC - FBI Field Office - My office As I walked into my office, my phone started calling. It was the assistant to Assistant Director Skinner, to remind me about the meeting at 12 PM to discuss my transfer to the Identity Island. Day 1: 1200 PM - Washington, DC - FBI Field Office - Assistant Director Walter Skinner's office Skinner was already waiting for me, he was not pleased. I had managed to run a few minutes late. He wasn't too upset. And we got right down to business. He gave me a folder, containing all my transfer papers. Copies had already been sent ahead to the local authorities on the island. He also told me arrangements for transport had already been made. Note: Had I known back then, it was an old rusted car. I would have tried to push for something better. Unfortunately, they were unable to procure a safehouse for me to stay in. As the Island is still in development. Day 1: 0400 PM - Washington, DC - Airport After the meeting, I headed home, to start packing. I hadn't been staying in the apartment long. As I recently graduated from Quantico, and I had been traveling around. So packing didn't take long at all. I arrive at the airport, with nothing more but my clothes, badge, a service pistol, and all of my travel and transfer documents, including my new Identity passport. Took me a bit longer to get trough the TSA Agents than I would have liked, due to my service pistol. I understand though, they were just doing their job. Day 1: 1900 PM - Identity - Roseport After a couple of connecting flights, and a trip by boat. I finally step of the boat, on the docks of Roseport. Looking over the city. My new home. I was assured a man by the name of Jason Hicks would be waiting for me by the docks. He's an FBI informant we have in the area. After waiting for twenty minutes, he finally shows up in an old rusted car. He steps out of it, wand walks up to me. And gives me a hug. He's quite the strange man, and he sure talks a lot. I suppose that is a good thing for an informant. He handed me the keys, and says this is the car he was able to procure for me. We get in the car, and drive around a bit. Jason seems like he knows everything around here. Anyway, after a while. And hit up most popular hot zones around town. He tells me to pull out and park under a bridge. He wasn't quite clear, but it seems like he lives there. I didn't question it. He does however, give me an address. He claims he knows the location of a drug dealer. Who I might should look into. Day 1: 2200 PM - Identity - Roseport - Undisclosed address Jason, the homeless man, gave me the address to what he suspects is a drug dealer. My suspicious is that he refused to sell to Jason at some point, and this might be his revenge. None the less, I decided to check it out. I, guess, technically, I am homeless as well right now. Seeing as the only roof I got over my head is this car. I drive to the address, and I stay parked outside. Seems to be quite a bit of activity during the late evenings. Lot's of people going in and out. Definitively something is not right here. I decide to spend the night in the car. And take surveillance pictures. All I needed, was just one picture of exchange between money and drugs. And this would have been my first bust. Day 2: 0110 PM - Identity - Roseport - Undisclosed address I got woken by an officer knocking on my car window. Apparently, I had fallen asleep. I look over at him, and I saw a whole bunch of police officers, and SWAT people arriving. Clearly something is going down. While the officer outside my window is telling me to move along. I pulled out my badge, and showed it to him trough my window. And I stepped out of my car. I could clearly tell he was a bit surprised to see an FBI Agent in such an old rustic car. But he didn't say anything. Probably for the best. I ask him what's going on. And he fills me in on the reports of drugs going in and out of the place. And the suspects name is "Julian". I walk with the officer over to the rest of the SWAT gang, and I ask if he doesn't mind if I tag a along. I could clearly tell he was a bit reluctant to let me join. But I think he reached the conclusion that an extra gun could come in handy. Especially from the FBI. Al though, he never told me the real reason. I grabbed a spare bullet proof vest, and we prepared to breach. Day 2: 0123 PM - Identity - Roseport - Undisclosed apartment As we breach inside, we rushed trough every room. Our intel suggest there were only two suspects inside of the building. "Julian" and an unidentified white male, covered in white power tattoos. Quickly, the team managed to capture and subdue Julian. He was caught red handed flushing drugs down the toilet. In fact, the whole toilet was clogged up to the brink where water was overflowing. I can only imagine the embarrassment he must have felt when his face was pushing against the wet floor from the toilet water. I walked into the main living area, while the team cleared the rest of the apartment. That's when I saw someone running away on the ground outside, trough the broken window. I quickly holstered my gun, and jumped outside. I remember I grabbed a pipe next to the window, and slid down. And I sprinted as fast as I could after this unknown white male, with what I can only describe as white power tattoo's. However, I did not get a good look of the suspect. I saw him toss the gun over a fence, and kept running. I decided to keep following him. Unfortunately, my chase led me down a street. And last I saw of him, he turned a corner. And into an alley way. I followed, but as I arrived to the alley way. He was gone. I could not see any sewer holes, or doors he could have used to escape. I'll get him next time. Day 2: 0135 PM - Identity - Roseport I headed back to the officer, along with the SWAT-Teams. Seems like they have secured Julian. And is calling in the CSI to collect evidence. I hand him the gun I picked up from the backyard. Note: I later got word from the officer. The gun wasn't much help. The tag had been filed off, and no prints could be recovered. However, the bullet signature was still intact. But that's still being investigated. Day 2: 0135 PM - Identity - Roseport PD I finally made my way over to the Police Department, where I met the chief. And offered me my own private office for the time being. Where is where I am right now, writing this report. Signed, Special Agent Zoey Anderson (( OOC: Hope you don't mind me including some of your story here @Arky! I think it creates some interesting story arcs and interactions. ))

I want to create a steak house, a classy restaurant which requires a blazer dress code. Is any of this possible? Can I sell steak? and only steak?

You will have to wait until their term is over to vote them out democratically. YOU the people need to be vigilant on who it is you vote into office in the first place because your choices will matter and stick for some time until you can vote them out. If you want to use force to take down a corrupt governor then you better have rock solid proof of their misdeeds and have the entire police force on your side and that being said it is them that will take the action against the governor in confronting and arresting them, you wont be doing anything unless you're really excited to receive a life sentence for your actions. if you have no proof the police will not help you in a government overthrow, depending on the level of corruption the police may still not care enough to do something that drastic. If you want to fight the entire police force to try and take the governor by force yourself you will need the entire sever backing you up to do so or you'll be going to jail for life, bye bye character. The governor is indeed powerful and stripping him/her from the title by force is something I don't see working out well for those that attempt to try it regardless of corruption, its very possible you could lose that character to a life sentence depending on the servers rules. If the server dynamic is that the entire government is corrupt as well as the police force then I can see a legitimate uprising taking place among the people in a workable RP sense but that would mean quite literally that everyone on the server would have to be in on it and take sides which simply isn't going to happen, people are not going to take kindly into being forced into an RP they don't want/like/agree on. You could write an email to the governor saying what you have just said but it is a blatant threat, law and order must be maintained and civilians taking matters into their own hands threatening members of government would be treated the same as in real life, you may even get a jail sentence for sending such a threatening email in the first place to a government official. Once you get out of jail expect to be put on a watch list and to be harassed by the police regularly when they see you. As a governor I would make a swift example of you to show the community how people who threaten government officials are treated, I'd have you in the bootie house with Tyrone so fast it will make your head spin.

Each and every single individual does not possess the opportunity to be wealthy due to the inequality of wealth that exists within the planet Earth. In reality, one out of a few hundred million are capable of functioning as a FAIRLY wealthy individual through the exploitation of the remainder of the inhabitants on the planet. Communism provides each and every single human being with Universal food, clothing, shelter, energy, healthcare, and education in order for each and every single human being to fulfill their own internal desires within life without being forced to labour identical to a slave for the purposes of funding tuition fees etc.

Anything before the full game will be wiped for full release and so everyone starts at the same place with a few minor head starts with pledges giving money. Official servers however after a certain amount of time it could be a possible thing but I think that it will be more because of a huge update or something but that is my opinion and is not confirmed as anything. I however believe you should maybe ask on twitter but I will try find out for you.

Yet there are mods that can add realism..... like they say there wont be undercover police cars on release in their FaQ, Almost every cop force on this planet has a undercover police car's so a mod could add that in then a private server owner could add it to their server ,and that's just 1 example. Also there is quite a-few hardcore roleplay servers on Arma and GTA V. I do agree modding should not be a selling point on a game however mods can increase a lifespan of a game and some of them can bring even more realistic stuff.

Mods don't ruin games that they are incorporated into by design. Games that dont support mods and people make mods for the purpose of exploiting the game ruins games.. Generally that doesn't happen on games that allow mods, with this particular game personally I think the best idea is to let the private server admins create and manage mods and control it at that level, so that every player cannot do mods and it's not on the public servers, then those with the urge to do so can play there, without someone creating a 3rd party mod that may be harmful to other players experience that would work everywhere. That's my take....
  35. 1 point
Seriously you got any way to backup that claim? All the games mods have saved so far Arma 3 (even mission files for altis servers are technically modding), GTA San andreas SA:MP was a mod....Going to other none roleplay games but still got saved by mods Fallout 3 and New Vegas and Fallout 4... I could list more but really no point in the end mods don't ruin games they can improve them. Yes i know there are some bad mod's out there but there is allot of good ones also. Incase i will Backup my own claim on that also... So Arma 3 mission files still are modified data to work for the client and server, like altis life would not be around if mission files could not be made/edited. And then there is bigger Arma mods where you need to download secondary content which a mission file cannot provide. SA:MP is a mod to play on multiplayer admittedly i never played SA:MP however i know allot of servers still run for it and has quite allot of players still (google search) and even looking up on youtube i do see allot of good roleplay servers there. Now onto the none roleplay games again, Fallout 3 does not work for windows 10 anymore unless you mod it and after that it has tons of mods which are great, Fallout New Vegas has tons of great mods, Fallout 4 well has quite afew good one's but its has allot of limitations so i give fallout 4 a meh. My point being mods don't ruin games there are a ton of good ones out there just sadly sometimes there are bad ones too. Same as games there are good games and bad games just like the rest of the things on this planet.

Modding could be pretty cool and would keep the game fresh for people on unofficial servers. However, I don't wanna see instant richness mods or anything like that, maybe just more cars and things like that.

yet you don't realy mentiod why mods are bad but yes modding can make it unrealistic add anime shit or what ever. but does that mean you have to use it ? look at arma , you want to play a mill sim you can ,you want to play a life mod ? you can, you want to play zombie survival ? you can. if devs don't make it the players can add it, look at gta right now , people are playing a roleplay mod , something the dev's didn't make now other people did it and people love it. yet there also mods out there that are straight up shit. do people play them ? no. but thats not my or your problem. ofcourse we don't know the limits of identity right now. i personaly can only find one argument why mods are bad: it cost time for the devs to allow us to make them (modding tools have to be made). but other then that i think it would be awsome to have them

I like to stick to the official server, plus it is better to keep the community together and not segregated even when "region areas" are different.

Here, have one for free. I guess I don't really see the point in them. Do they actually do anything? Like, give you free stuff? Or is it just for bragging rights?

I'm pretty sure he was joking around, regardless there won't be any "children" in Identity. Being a serial killer is a bit of a touchy subject because your very soul purpose for killing innocent Citizen's would be as simple as it just being what you do; In that case, anyone can kill anyone randomly for little to no reason and claim to just be a "serial killer". Generally speaking, it'll easily be met with a lot of controversy. This might however be an interesting "community event" under special circumstances, people could be notified of the serial killer and his motives providing a state wide bounty hunt for the alleged killers capture. It would indeed provide interesting role-play for detectives to play out, I'd personally like to see that happening under special circumstances. This however likely won't be an "event" on any of the official Identity server's. In my opinion, it's poor character development and likely will not be permitted on just any community. Maybe however you'll find a community that's okay with this, to a degree. Maybe. In that case however, don't expect good overall role-play.

I'm pretty sure my goal is to create stories that matter. I want to have my character get into things that really require me to think and outhink others. Whether that is joining the police force or being a criminal, I want to create memorable experiences with memorable people. I think my overall character goal is to not end up in jail (at least for a long while)

What a crazy several weeks since the last dev blog post! The increased exposure and attention from the apartment video has resulted in a surge of additional funding for Identity, which has translated into an expanded team with two new full-time developers coming on board and more to join soon. Work has been going very well. Motown, your community manager, has started transitioning into the role of producer to help manage our expanding team. This has helped to reduce some of the work-load on myself so it's been a very welcome change and he's proving to be great for the role. Our lead character artist, Miroslav, has been hard at work on numerous enhancements including building our makeup and blemish systems. This will give us the freedom to add all kinds of makeup options, especially for females but also for men. Your options at character creation will be a bit limited, but a vanity table will let you customize your makeup much further. Blemishes allow us to modify the skin in a whole lot of ways, from just a little blush on the cheeks to full-body freckles and more. Miroslav has also done an excellent job expanding eye customization for your characters which won't just tint the color of the iris but change its entire pattern to properly match the styles seen in those eyes in reality. He's also expanded our options for hair and facial hair. Feature development has also been going quickly and smoothly. Among others, we've built the contacts and friends systems which will be available in the Town Square module. When you meet people in the world you'll be able to exchange contact information, adding their number and name to your phone. This then acts like a friends list in other games, but you can even text or phone them with real working voice systems. It's also integrated with your Steam friends to make finding them easier. Environment art is also moving along, with several artists working full-time to give you beautiful environments. We've hired on some more artists and are even reworking some of the earlier assets we produced to bring the up to our now higher standards. Identity YouTube channel PowerGaming7 had the chance to speak with myself and Motown for a while after asking his viewers for a bunch of questions to ask. The result was an almost one hour long video where we shared all sorts of information you may not have heard before. You can find the link to this video right here. Once again, I want to thank every one of you for your continued support! Every pledge that comes in goes straight into the development of new features and helps us get the game to you a little bit faster. The attention we've seen over the last couple of months has been staggering, and we are excited to show you more of the gameplay soon!
