The time draws near! In the last dev blog I sent out, I mentioned that we were going to announce the release date for our first playable game module, the Town Square. Those of you who follow our Twitter and Twitch streams will have already learned this date. It's a very exciting and important time for Identity; we're fast approaching the time where you'll first step foot in Identity's grand world. We've crunched all the numbers and can now say with fair confidence that the Identity Town Square module will be released, to all backers with a $30 or higher pledge, on this coming March 21st. What will you find in the Town Square? The Town Square is a social game module. You'll be able to create your character, which may be transferable to the retail game after release, and meet hundreds of other Identity backers in the town square of the clean and quaint city of Ash Hill. You'll be able to talk to those around you, add them to your phone contacts and have full phone and IM support to stay in touch. You'll find a completely functional cinema playing full movies around the clock, a karaoke bar to show off your skills (or see me making a fool of myself), a working restaurant, art gallery, shops and more. The biggest single feature is the housing system. You're getting a taste of the full and complete player housing mechanics that you'll find in Identity. Everyone will have access to a tiny apartment, but those who pledged for higher rewards will be able to check out and decorate their larger spaces. It's a preview of what you'll have in the full game. Invite friends to your place and party it up! After the initial release of the module, we'll continue to add features to the Town Square as they are completed in development for Identity. Thank you very much, good sir. It was a bit strange for one to witness a party, that consists of zero platforms or policies, function as the dominating party within the game. It is honestly appreciated.

The problem has been fixed, sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused.

Our reasoning for this is that we don't want people who can afford to buy apartment spaces through microtransactions to have an advantage in the game. If you were able to rent out the apartments, which you may have gotten through a pledge/MT, you could then translate that into in-game currency through rental income. We've got to consider all angles to make sure everything remains as fair and balanced as possible. You can have multiple people living in an apartment, though! And you can have more than one apartment for access to your stuff in different areas of the world.

He finds himself riding towards the sunset. Micky slowly rides into a small strip mall near the edge on Roseport. He parks his bike, puts on his round hippie glasses and walks inside Native Cigars and Ciggies, owned by Shalik Ma' lud of course. Shalik instantly knows who hes dealing with. "I've got the money right here" He says after taking a look around his cramped smoke shop, making sure no one is near. He hands over a Gurkha cigar box Micky takes a look inside. Six small stacks of 20$ bills. "Five Thousand?' In my personal opinion, I feel religion is religion! We can't necessarily control what others believe we can put an end to what is just morally wrong! No, I believe in very little interference, but not complete letting of people run the economy! Some regulations have to exist! All anyone can do is have the law! This shows how incredibly unprofessional you are as a candidate. You mention that he doesn't understand how the system works and that he criticizes blindly, but provide nothing to back these statements up. What system is it that he doesnt understand? The non-existent healthcare system? I think his criticism was very poorly conveyed, however I have no trouble in seeing what it is he is saying and so one could argue you are the one being blind. So, as a member of this community who may be harder to criticise because I am not new, let me provide some real criticisms about your "healthcare" plan. First of all, how can you chose to pay for a universal healthcare on a day to day basis? I doubt someone get's out of bed saying "I need to pay $500 to the government because I plan on breaking my leg later!". What if you pay the $500 and don't use it? Does it carry on to the next day? If I pay it one day but don't need medical help until the next day, do I need to pay it again? There are too many holes in this plan. Healthcare cannot be in place for some people but not for others. I also don't know how you can claim it is universal healthcare when it is only available to people who pay. Next, what are your estimates based on? Because I am 100% sure the developers have stated multiple times that money-making will be similar to that of real life, so anyone who can afford to pay $500 per day can afford private healthcare. If you were to educate yourself on how the system works before criticising others for the same thing, I think your little campaign would go a lot smoother. Assuming a system like the one you propose did work (highly unlikely), how would it be abused? Someone pays the fee and doesn't take the healthcare? Someone doesn't pay but takes the healthcare anyway? Why would you give it to someone who hasn't paid? This statement seems redundant. Regarded by who? Yourself? I fail to see how a banquet dinner is categorised as a "basic need". It seems to me like you will use public tax dollars to feed yourself and other members of government, while making people pay $500 per day for healthcare. Why? To prevent terrorism? I understand why politicians in real life would want to ban Burqas, and while I disagree with it, I see the argument. However I find myself asking this question, how many muslims are going to be playing Identity? Probably quite a few, but not nearly as much as atheists or Christians. I would say that in the US and UK servers, the vast majority, if not all of the terrorist attacks will be carried out by atheists or Christians, not Muslims, and even though some Muslims will play in these countries, I doubt many of them support terrorism. This law helps no one. Looking at all of the points I have raised, can you seriously claim this is a correct statement? Usually I would not be this aggressive, however you have insulted the very people who are voting for you by completely ignoring someones criticisms and belittling them for your own ego. March 21st 2018 is the first module release, that will be the foundation of the game according to the devs so it will be easier to work on and release the rest of the modules (the public beta may take a while, but the devs want a polished game so it's understandable).

I know it's going to be a lot of work for their team. But with their new employees and the plans they have set, I don't think they can say it will be set to a later date. This is ONLY the Town Square Module! Being in the same building with more experienced people in multiple fields, hopefully they learn from each other and progress faster than they think. They probably are taking their time checking to make sure everything is near perfect and that's respectable, but hopefully they can produce more especially with the new 3D Designer that they are excited to have and the new Developer. Good Luck to their team as we all wait for the release of more content and updates.

I've been known about this project for awhile as well. Game development(backend,UI/UX, mechanics, features, assets, balance, customization, documentation, industry partnerships, QA, anticheat, and anything else I missed takes time. Anyone who has worked 14 or more hours a day, doing anything, for multiple days on end knows burn out is real, so maybe you work shorter hours for a week, or take a weekend or vacation day off. That extends the timeline. Sometimes you have to completely clear your head to reapproach a problem. More time. Also, not all development teams are the same, or progress at the same pace. So they announced dates in the past that they didn't make, mistakes are a human quality. The only one we need to exercise in this process is patience, as the game will still be for sale when it's complete.

As much as the link does say there will be drugs in the Town square, well unfortunately that information is old and wrong. There will not be any drugs in the Town Square module! It is like what @sp00f_IOM said, that information is unreliable as it has not been updated. Most of it is reliable but some things are not and still it is good to do that research first!

Generally, in all RP Games (like Altis Life) there are small weapons that are legal with a licence, such as pistols, and then heavier weaponry that is illegal to carry. I doubt the official servers would make it so that people couldn't have anything to defend themselves with, but I agree that I was slightly wrong in that you are right that the same people will probably get elected for a while at a time

While I love the idea of storage units, I am not thrilled with paying real money in the auctions. I'm Aryan, and i find this offensive. lmao AB members don't sit on games, they aren't children, its a prison gang, some of you guys can bring up some iffy alright points i suppose, but you also have to remember, that its a game, there's lots of real life gang names used on gta and what not, there's nothing they can really do about it, if the AB even played this game. If they did, and they had the sheer luck of finding you on your particular server, what can they honestly do? try and claim they are real AB and they find it offensive? lol whose going to believe that on the internet? AB is predominately a prison gang, none of them have time to waste their life playing a game like identity in a fictional world when they already live in a world, us roleplayers, try to mimic their reality in a controlled, virtual environment without consequences. We play as criminals on the game, because we find it interesting, and would like to play out how it would be in a real gang, but without consequences like going to real jail and getting it in the butt. We are just nerds wanting a virtual world to dance around in and do whatever we want. People like the AB and members in real gangs, already have that world, in real life, and don't have time for that, they have duties, like making money, cooking dope, what not. Ive personally used Barrio Azteca as a gang name on a roleplay community on arma 3 before, no one found it offensive, i even made it so you had to have a mexican looking character to join lol. No one found my IP address and bashed me because of it. I personally don't care if there's gangs and what not in identity, that have the same name as the ones outside, would probably be better if they had the same kind of gang theme as irl to match though imo, would bring some more realisim to it, would be abit weird to see a gang called Aryan brother hood, and ingame all the members are dark skin.
