Hey Guys, if I buy it now, what can I do with it? just wait untill it comes out? Greetz Jim
  2. Identity YouTube Videos!

Hey guys so I was searching for YouTube videos on Identity (Which is what I usually do when I'm bored) and I was able to find power gaming obviously but I also saw this guy i haven't seen before named The Dynasty on there as well. He seems to know a lot about the game as well has anyone else heard of him? Here's his channel if you wanna see what im talking about: https://www.youtube.com/c/TheDynasty
  3. The Identity Skyscraper

(Taken off of the Nationstates forums) You must create a floor to add to the Identity skyscraper Rules: One floor per post No consecutive posts Do not destroy the elevator! The building is invincible You may not change the previous or future floors Do not skip floors Be as weird as you like but stay within forum rules I'll start: Floor G This is the building's reception and lobby, a sign above the elevator warns you 'Caution, Identity weirdness ahead' (Now you start from floor 1, then 2, etc)
  4. Plans for Steam release?

I was wondering, if there was any plans on putting this game on Steam Store in the future (probably after release)? Not that I'm a huge fan of Steam, but it does make it easier to download PC, MAC, LINUX games etc. A bit off topic, but how likely that this game will be finished and not abandoned/incomplete. It's a pretty huge risk to support a product that has been in development for so long. Althouh 2y for this project is a short time and a pretty good progress has been done for a small team (I assume). I'm not really familiar with this game project, I just came across this recently, but it seems freaking awesome.
  5. Does anyone know when is the estimated game release date? Thank you !! xx
  6. I was just wondering when or if the prices of the game and the beta access and stuff will see a price increase in the shop and if so when? I heard someone tell me that they were going to be going up soon.
  7. i have a Geforce GTX 950 and i dont know if i can run the game... Do you need a very good Pc rig to run it or not... if you do i would deffinitly freffer to beable to change the Grapphics seetings In Game so that others with a worse pc can still play it in a nice smooth fps so that me and my friends can still play eventho my friends have worse rigs. i know this should and normally will be added to the game but i dont want the game to have minor diffrences if youy do for example Low it just lowers the texure quality... if you think the game should be well optimized and have a modarate amount of graphics settings to choose from Like this and answer or via comment or via poll. Thanks for lissening and have a good day!
  8. Console Game!

i would love it if Identity would be on a console(s) If it would many more players could get the idea of playing the game without needing a gaming pc that is over 1000 dollars. many rpg fans that like playing them on consoles can then also start playing this game on the console plus there may be more players in the game if it would be - on the console. if you like the idea and want this to happen please let the developers know and motivate them to do it! Thanks for lisening! have a good day
  9. Custom Radio Stations

Could it be possible to have a custom radio station that we could upload songs to and listen to privately? Something like the Self Radio in GTA V
  10. Recommended System Requirements

Hey guys, I want to let the team of devs know that I am very excited to participate in what I know will be an amazing game! From the screenshots posted, these graphics look unbelievable, kudos! I was curious for other users (and myself ) what you guys recommend the minimum system requirements are for this game? Thanks.
  11. I'd like to start off by saying that this should be optional, and would be a good idea for people like me who use mainly PC and have friends who use the PS4 or Xbox one mainly. Identity shows the biggest promises and ambition I have ever seen in an MMORPG. If I could, I would back it up, but thats aside from the topic being discussed here. The point of this thread is to discuss wether we should allow optional cross - platform gameplay. It is as simple as it sounds; start up Identity, join the server, and voila, you are playing on a PC with PS4 and Xbox one users. This also implies that this must have a separate friends list to keep track of all you friends on other platforms. Now, I don't know the difficulty of implementing this, or if it is possible to use the same code on both PC and Console. Truth is, we barely know anything about what is to come of Identity. So that's it! Share your ideas in the comments, if this is possible, and make this Topic be noticed!
  12. Introduction: I've known about this Game since the Trailer was released and I'm excited because i've been waiting for a Game like this since a longtime I've played AtlisLife, DarkRP, other small RPG games. I liked some Elements from each different game. I don't know how the Play-style of this game will be like but If it's really a real life simulator (not quests and orders), These aspect would be amazing if implemented. School/Academy This came into my mind, and i saw it in some small RPG Games, Where if your goal is to have a certain Job, You take actual small lessons, Like if you want to become a policeman, someone RP'ing as an experienced/teacher should tell you notes and tips (maybe about how to behave in certain situations) that you would be asked about when applying to the job itself, that proves if a guy is worthy for the job or not. I don't know what kind of jobs are going to be implemented ofc, But maybe you have to take classes about business if you wanna become like a business man or a shop owner. Classes about math for people who wanna work at banks. You get the point *(i hope)* Gym (Physique/Strength) Some Jobs needs a Guy with strength and good Physique, For people who want to become Gangsters, Policemen or Bodyguards So you subscribe to a gym (which should cost virtual money) to get in the shape the job needs, It needs time of-course. So a ''player'' should work as any other simple job to get money at first like a janitor or street sweeper till he meets the qualification for a certain job. Thats pretty much it, Oh and I have some: Some Job suggestions -actor/play-writer *if there was a theater in the map* -food delivery guy / chef -arms dealer
  13. The Five Hundred Monkey Genocide

Note; i'm taking this off a forum which has 10,000 monkeys, I've lowered this because that's a bit too much for our forum. The aim of this game is to kill 500 monkeys in various ways starting from 500 and counting down till only one remains. Each reply on this thread equals one monkey death, you have to specify how the monkey dies. eg: John: "The 500th monkey gets hit by a truck" Jane: "The 499th monkey dies of AIDS" Jeremy: "The 498th monkey dies in a mugging" I start The 500th monkey dies because his parachute doesn't open
  14. TLDR: Cut the developers some slack, they have alot on their plate and they need to put their time into the game as they have a deadline to meet. So many of you are concerned with the state of the game so far, with people asking this game is never going to be out or if it is going to be released then its going to be the year 2034 by the time that happens well here's the thing; There's a team of approximately nine people all working on Identity, and there's one community manager known as @Motown that deals with uploading pictures to all of the social media outlets , writing dev blogs, keeping undesirables at bay, answering questions on here, twitter and Facebook, and I'm also presuming he is the one that also has to edit the video together then uploads it. Essentially you could say he largely on the marketing side of the game. However on top of this he has to admin for Asylum life (Arma 3 life server) which is a huge job on it's own. Also he has to 3D model. All of the models you have seen thus far of the game, have been made by @Motown and another 3D modelist in Asylum Entertainment. So you could say he has quite a job to do when it comes to being a 'community manager'. I put community manager in quotations because he does alot more than manage the community. But still there's the fact we haven't seen a video. People are drawing the line under, This game has been cancelled omg the developers are scammers. No, actually for a small team of nine we get quite alot of information given to us. @Motown tries to answer questions about the game everyday and gives new information on it, also we are given new pictures, once or twice a month. Yes we haven't seen a video but a video takes a long time to make. Time that the devs don't exactly have. Let me use an example real quick, if you know who I am, I upload Identity videos talking about the game, and giving news on it when I can, and usually depending on the length a video CAN take around 2-3 hours. Now why do they take 2-3 hours. Well first of all, I have to make a script, seems simple but yet it's not. You have to proofread the script otherwise you'll sound like you can't speak English and I have made mistakes of letting some words slide into a video and it just makes me cringe every-time I hear it back. But you also have to have the creativity to write it. This takes a while to do. The script is also there to structure the video out, just from reading it you will be able to see how the video flows. Now you could say don't bother with a script just do it without one. Well you could do it that way. However it would be extremely unprofessional with lot's of stuttering and the devs might not get everything in that needs to be said. Then once you are done with the script you move on to recording it, recording the video time wise. It depends really. If I were to mess up a sentence and slur my words, I would have to start it again, which is pretty goddamn annoying. I usually take half an hour, give or take recording it as I do edit the audio after each cut I do. Next we go onto the editing. Honestly I'm pretty quick at editing, I kind of just get into a rhythm with it and do it. It, depends solely on the person who is editing and how well they know their software so I can't get an exact number on it, but if the video is long it's going to take a long time to edit. Finally, you'll render out the video then upload it to the media outlets, e.g YouTube. This obviously depends on your specifications and on your upload speed. So... Why am I going through this. Well it's just so people can realise how long a video can actually take. Time that could be put into 3D modelling or coding for the game. Also these times are for me and what it takes me to make a video and they're 3-5 minute videos. Granted 3 hours for me would be for a much longer video but you have to remember that this gameplay video for Asylum Entertainment would take a long time because it has to be approved by @Paratus and if it's something he doesn't like he will make sure that it's done again because well he takes pride in the game. Remember nine people work on the game. Two of which work on 3D modelling and on 'community managing'. The rest have to work on coding for the game and people are coming and going from the company if I remember correctly. So give them some slack, the devs have alot on their plate. I really do recommend going to see a game being developed. You can see the YouTuber BrandonJla create his game 'Hover Junkers' and that is nowhere near on the same scale of a game like Identity, that also has around the same amount of people working on it, also to note that Hover Junkers is still in Early access. But as the consumers we do have a right to question the developers because at the end of the day we're the investors of the game, we determine it's success, and I really do understand peoples concerns. But like I said cut them slack because they're under alot of pressure and you know we should be happy that they want to take their time with a game like this. One last thing before I end this lengthy post, if you think its a scam why in the world would they still be answering questions and uploading pictures. If I were to create a scam, I would have got the kickstarter money and ran with it a long time ago, just saying. Also remember that they have a deadline to meet, Early 2017 but expect delays. Thanks for reading this post and I do hope that it helped clear up a few issues people were having. Oh and here's the Hover Junkers devblog btw (go watch to see how lengthy a game can take as it is quite a long and interesting process:

  16. Perfect Game

This is not really a suggestion but more of a perspective. There's two groups when it comes to games or products, the clients (gamers) and the producers(devs). For a game to have sucess both parties must have a balance. Gamers must be satisfied with their gameplay and devs with their revenue. Taking Minecraft as an example , it has success and people still play it till this day. Now we have to learn from that sucess. Crafting your items from stuff you had to grind was the main appeal of Minecraft and not the graphics. Graphics are just a bonus here, it's immersion. Lets now have a look at something that had potential but never had sucess. Dayz had a lot of potiential but was never polished and was darn boring. Why you ask ? What makes a player happy is to be proud of his accomplishments, in Dayz you died and had to restart from scratch. I suggest Identity to have 2 servers, 1 hardcore and the other peaceful. One where you die and restart and the other where you restart with penalties. This is only for the satisfaction of the broad audience. For the devs side now, profits is their main concern here. The integration of a market in the game with real world currency would highly help devs with their expenses and profit. Taxes on items could go directly to the devs ex: 10-15%. I have logs that I need to sell, I could sell 1000 logs for 10$ and devs get 15% of that transaction. That an idea which Valve loves using. Also for this to work a minimum amount of " wood logs " for sale should be established in the market. Putting 10 wood logs in the market at a value of 0.01 $ each isn't going to get enough transaction money to the devs. Imagine if Identity is the first mmo game where anyone could make money online from. Yes, there's games online where you can male money out of but the devs are usually too thursty for money and the game gets bad reputation. Reputation and good feedback is the most important thing in the early stages of the game. It takes only one bad review to stop someone from buying and joining the game. I posted earlier for mining to be integrated into the game which means the terrain will need to change and thats hard on a graphics card in a mmo game, that's only an idea. I have more ideas like: marriage, animal breeding, fall damage and possible death, loading screens when joining someone "house" or "farm", paying people to help you build stuff in your terrain and much more. Now for the issues : How are we going to cashout our earned money ? A: With paypal integration into the game How will mining work and crafting ? A: Mining involves modifying the ingame terrain which is hard on a graphics card but if the terrain is local (singleplayer) that's not an issue. Isn't making a game singleplayer make it risky for hackers to duplicate items to sell it on the market for profit ? A: Not if an internet connection is needed to launch the game and to play the game. Data encryption will make hacking almost impossible. Making every item in the game have their own generated key will make it even more impossible because if an item is dupplicated the key is also the same which will make spotting and removing items easy. Why animal breeding ? A: Money is the answer. Buy a cow on the market for 300$ and breed it to make extra $$$. Breeding time would take a couple months though. Not making it easy. Won't this need powerful servers to run that much data ? A: Yes but making the market integrated from the first day is a bad idea. Main focus should be to grow the community through advertising. Advertising will provide revenue to the devs which will make getting more servers easier. Note: Sorry for grammar. My native language is not English.
  17. We're all obviously here because we are looking forward to Identity, but I think there are a few things that could potentially hurt the final game. Here they are: - Bad roleplayers: people who aren't playing Identity to roleplay and live out realistic arcs, but instead just want to have a super powerful character with no real story arc and no flaws, basically a superhero. also people who name their characters ridiculous things that just aren't names. - Twelvies: twelvies tend to ruin most games they find their way onto, and we can only hope they don't find their way onto Identity. they are not only 95% of the time terrible roleplayers who would be better fitted to GTA V, but also they ruin the immersion and have very little maturity. - Hackers / Trolls: both of these can be dealt with easily, with staff intervention, but if there aren't any measures in place to deal with them I can see them becoming issues. Anyone else have any worries? Maybe staff can answer our worries? Thanks.

  20. MTA SA (Closest to Identity)

MTA SA is basically, Gta SanAndreas multiplayer on PC. There is one server on that game called Cit2. It usually has 800 people on it. Basically no NPC, and 800 real people on the SanAndreas map. There are tons of jobs, Police, ambulance, fireman, garbage man, farmer, fisher, pilot, and criminal. With all of these jobs come custom scripting to make them full. Farmers have custom jobs, and ways to plant things and get money, fisher get boats and do a sort of minigame to actually get fish, and criminals have turfing, different drugs, robbing stores, atms, and houses. Every house on the server is also ownable by a player like identity will be. In case anyone plays the game, pm me.
