2 pointsSo after reading the FAQ a bit more in dept I saw this sentence in one of the questions: "Players cannot access another players home without an invitation." This makes me a bit concerned since that means no robbing of players houses will be possible. Robbing houses is one of the most fun and thrilling things to do in Gmod DarkRP, and if the developers think that robbing peoples houses will have a negative impact on the housing aspect, here are my suggestions: * Give players the ability to buy alarms for their houses (Locks come with the house). * Nerby cops and the player owning the house gets alerted immediately when a house alarm has gone off. * Robbers have to buy a crowbar/lockpick to be able to get inside of the house if the door is locked. * Crowbars/lockpicks will be very limited in stores. * Robbers are only able to slowly carry one object/furniture at a time making the robbing process take loads of time. * Players can buy cameras which can be accessed via your phone (this will probably take loads of time to implement and I don't think it's really that necessary). * To keep certain things safe in the house, players can buy safes. * Robbers are only able to rob a house if it's empty of players (Just to keep the houses safe places to chill and hang out with firends) With only a few of these suggestions implemented, robbing houses would become very hard, which is a good thing since you wouldn't want players houses to constantly get robbed. Also one thing to keep in mind is that the houses in DarkRP are often empty which means that you can easily find the valuable stuff fast, while in Identity, the houses will be filled with loads of furniture making the search harder for robbers. I really hope that the developers will consider these suggestions since I think it would add to the immersion of a game like Identity. EDIT: After some discussion I feel like I need to clearify a few things. Since the developers have said that the only way to enter a house is through an invitation, because the performance will be an issue, I will try to explain my ideas how this could be fixed. So since houses will feature an instanced loadingscreen, the robber could be transfered into the house with a loadingscreen, exactly the same as when a player gets invited. The only difference is that the robber didn't get an invitation. And for example if a player could only invite 10 people to a house, then only 5 robbers and 5 cops should be able to enter the house and there wouldn't be any noticeable differences in the performance. The only problem with this is that if the loading times are long, there could be situations where the cops and robbers could be in a loadingscreen at the same time, which would result in them passing by eachother without the cops or the robbers noticing eachother. The solution to this problem could be to have a display on the door indicating if a player is about the get in/out of the house, or have a blurred verson of the avatar remain standing outside the door while loading. Another thing with the houses is that they are places where you are able to just chill out with friends and such, without any action or robbers. How to fix this problem is to only make robbers able to rob the house if there are no players inside (which includes the owner and the players invited).

2 pointsSo you walk through a room into a thick cloud of virtual smoke, and are presented by a group of sharp dressed gentlemen with cigars in one hand, and a glass of whiskey in the other hand. Half of them are sat in the lounge area, the other half with cards in hand halfway through a game of Texas Hold'em. Don't you guys think it would be great having something like this in game? No pre game lobbies or nonsense, just the ability to walk in, have a virtual toke and play a few rounds. That would be sick I think
-
2 pointsYou either must be terribly uninformed or don't smoke it yourself, because I couldn't disagree with you more. The majority of people don't suffer from Marijuana withdrawal whatsoever and any psychological damage only comes from a strain with particularly high levels of THC in it.

2 pointsHaving done Bank heists in altis life in arma 3 I can agree with you but a bank heist should be almost impossible. its meant to be a real achievement and it would give something for the player run radio stations to talk about.

2 points*Kevin finishes pushing the Soarer inside before responding* "That's a tricky one, I am going to have to take a look under the hood, but I think I'm just going to try and get that Supra out the door as soon as I can. I mean it's running, so I'll probably repaint it, throw on some decals, new body kit, lower the suspension" *Kevin begins walking around the car forming a vision for it* "A custom exhaust system couldn't hurt, get it to sound real good, and maybe a custom interior. Oh, and underglow lighting of course. Probably give the engine bay a good scrubbing, get it shining"

2 pointsThere you go again, blabbing on and on about how the population will take up arms if a government is created in your imaginary world. In reality it would only be a select few insane rednecks including you. Voids get filled, and by creating a void, with the elimination of government, you shouldn't be surprised that it too will fill. Have you even stepped a foot into the world of economics? sounds like you haven't. Patents, copyrights, and trademarks have nothing to do with welfare. Patents have fueled innovation. Sure I'm not against the right to bear arms, but you must understand that not everyone can use a gun. Not everyone can defend themselves. It is indeed an arguments, either a foreign government will take the land, or a new government will form in that land. That is it. Just because you have guns doesn't mean you are going to defend yourself against something like that. It would be like the U.S military vs Somalian pirates. good luck with that.

2 pointsYesterday afternoon, for another Identity Insider, we've released a video detailing the workings of player housing in Identity and what it has to offer at our present point in development. This gives you a good idea of the level of fidelity we're going for in all of our key systems, and more videos will follow as we continue. Housing was chosen for our first video as our initial focus in development is for features present in the upcoming Town Square module. If you haven't already seen the video, check it out above. Housing as you've seen in the video is an excellent place to hang out with friends, but it has a lot of good practical uses, too! First, housing is the primary storage location for items you've collected. Whether it's a bookshelf full of books, a gun-rack with wall-mounted guns, or a crate full of junk, it's sort of like a bank for tangible stuff. Housing is also valuable for moderate crafting, too. Some advanced recipes might require a factory, but a lot of stuff can be created at your home using special crafting tables. A hydroponics table can even be used to grow small-scale plants, legal or otherwise!

2 pointsAll very good questions. We continuously plot our budget to hire as many people as we can (accounting for up to a years pay in most cases) in all essential areas. This essentially means that in order to make more room for more artists or programmers, some of us have to do multiple jobs at once. For instance, I'm both the Community Manager and a 3D artist. Paratus, besides just being our project manager, is also a full time programmer and technical artist for Identity. He's always busy with one thing or another and It's not that he's taking 6 months to do one thing. it's more like that he's actually moving from one priority to another with the video never being at the top of that list. The longer it takes him of course, the higher priority it becomes, and it's certainly far past due now. He knows that and isn't intentionally avoiding it. We've had a lot of people offer to help us for free, but we've also had a few offer to help for a price. We have hired a couple freelancers in the past from our community on Twitter, but we do have incredibly high standards for our artists, and not everyone is capable of meeting those standards, and that kind of talent doesn't come free. The other issue is that, perhaps hypocritically on my part being the exception, we feel very strongly against accepting free work. With our budget in check, we can't afford to pay these people if they were looking for a paid job, and don't feel comfortable exploiting their services for free. There are a lot of moral and ethical concerns regarding that, even if the person providing thinks they are ok with it. From our experience, eventually they are going to want compensation, which leaves the door open for potential legal issues. I think this post particularly is a wake up call for our entire team. As a result of our lack of communication, we can observe how damaging false accusations, like that posted on Reddit can be, especially when noone from the community has been provided anything in support of countering these claims. Worse still, this burden is my responsibility specifically, and I absolutely do feel like I am underachieving by not being able to provide new information to our community with any kind of frequency. I will work with Paratus to see what we can move around to develop a new strategy for dealing with our PR issues.

1 pointIt is inevitable. No matter how much we complain and no matter how many restrictions they put in place, we need to come to the realisation that children (immature ones in particular) are going to get their hands on this game. Kids who treat this game like GTA or COD. It is going to happen no matter what precautions we take. I would like to discuss possible ways that we, as a community can come together and instead of prevention, we need to decide how to deal with the issues. I recommend that we act mature. If a kid is mass RDMing, don't kick and scream, don't act like a kid in OOC, just ignore them. I know it will be hard, but it is the only way we can discourage kids from playing like that. Kids are apart of the community, and while we would all rather not have them here, its not something we can control. If a kid is RDMing, run and hide and quietly report it on the forums. Act like you arent even annoyed, like you just want to report it incase it happens again. They commit these actions for an equal and opposite reaction, we dont want to give them the reactions that entice them to commit the atupid actions. Can we as a community agree to treat these situations calmly? Let me know your thoughts below.

1 pointWell you can stream music from Youtube and such, I wouldn't be surprised if you could just create a playlist of Youtube songs and listen to it in the car or wherever
-
1 pointOr possibly the ability to add our own shoutcast/icecast server address into the player for people inside the apartment to listen to?
-
1 pointI don't mind that they can't do criminal actions the point is we should be able to frame them so they can be seen as being corrupt. They get jail time but are let out on new information instead of serving a full term. I am only looking for less extreme options then killing them.

1 pointtrue, and I based mine on real life. So my prices (rough ideas) are all based from how its done in real life, and "the drive could go a long route" instead of a short cut to just earn more money for that trip. Therefore both ideas are sufficient and can be manipulated in different ways. With my taxi's it is $4 up to a mile in towns/ out of a city, also meaning if travelling under a mile it will cost $4 and well its set but my bus prices are cheaper because they are practically $4 per 10 miles but they are for certain routes which will take longer.

1 pointPersonally I think it'll be a case of if you are elected on server A in England you will have power only in Server A in England BUT if you go to Serve B in America it'll say that you've been president on your Profile so you'd seem to have some experience in the way of running it

1 pointHere is one of the definitions of conflict of interests" A situation that has the potential to undermine the impartiality of a person because of the possibility of a clash between the person's self-interest and professional interest or public interest.". Therefore if you are talking about the fact the our business will ruin us in parliament and that will become more of our intention rather than looking after the people and the country, I'm afraid i must disagree with you.
-
1 pointI think in the official servers, there will be admins/mod patrolling the game
-
1 point99% of the purchasable items within the game involves utilizing in-game currency considering that "Identity" is not a "Play-to-Win" game.
-
1 pointOh I see so if I make a bunch of subjective slander non-arguments and defensive assumptions that "millions of people" would agree upon then it'll automatically become objective arguments. No it´s not an argument. I appreciate the discussion while it lasted but when you start throwing snarky tantrums like " insane redneck", or assumptions that I have never stepped a foot into the economics world, then you're not making an argument anymore. I don't think you're quite aware how defensive and stupid you look when you make these non-arguments to intelligent people that genuinely want to understand what we're all about., and I don't mean only you but also all the other people who post emotionally reactive non-sense here. If you have an argument I'm open to discuss but if you're gonna spew non-arguments then stop wasting our time, we don't need your empty emotional reactiveness here because they're not arguments.

1 pointOnly being able to enter a home with an invitation is limiting to the entire concept of this game.... So criminals, when wanted can go to their homes and wait for police attention to be directed else where. Police have no true way to execute a warrant to enter, because if the criminal refuses to invite them, they have no way to enter a premise. People can bitch about not RPing properly, but welcome to the public server of safe spaces..... The base intent of this game is cops Vs criminals. Criminals being able to enter homes without Consent and cops being able to enter a location with a warrant, even if they are not invited in should be part of the foundation of the game.

1 pointYou SHOULD be allowed to be corrupt, this is trying simulate real life so let it simulate real life. If the cop gets caught he gets kicked off the force forever thats fair but it SHOULDNT be against the rules or bannable

1 pointYou cannot buy in game money like gta online. There is no pay to win in this game.
-
1 pointYeah most of those things depend on the player and how creative their are handling and planning the bankheist
-
1 pointCould this not be solved by allowing for Police forces to engage in behind the scenes corrupt game play but having some sort of federal agency or Internal Affairs that was forbidden from engaging in any kind of corruption, whose sole purpose was rooting out corrupt officers?

1 pointI joined this forum when it was about 3 days old, and I have been on since. While I have had my doubts and been inactive for sometime now i am back with new love for the devs since they showed us the first real gameplay. The game is looking great. Can´t wait to play and live in this world of ours with those I´ve talked to on these forums since it opened. The friends I´ve made here, the troubles @Kickapoo has gotten himself into and required my help, and the sneaky detective of Misneden Security (now discontinued) @Norway174. Not to mention my first interactions here was with @FlyingDuck who I have talked loads with. The old guard is to numerous to mention, the times I´ve enjoy to many to count. Big shoutout to @Arlmar @Katie @Vix and so many others. While we all been here the devs have been very active, been apart of discussions, answered questions and deleted cancerous threads while being friendly to the community #Hugs4TheIdentityRPGDevs #Hugs2TheIdentityCommunity and #Hugs4me

1 pointTyping on my keyboard/computer, start bashing the person next to me until no keys are left on the board. I would like to see a similar thing to condemned in the game, where when you rum out of ammo you can turn the gun around a use it to bash people.
