Majority of the people starting businesses are doing it for the role playing.for instance, there isnt content to run a private sucurity service, but you can create a business with a specific uniform and gun permit and role play as private security, or bodyguard. The game will have the basics, which will allow people to use their rp imaginations. You don't need specific content to role play. These forums are not for answering questions only, but for people to enjoy rp as well. (Which i see you have a very tuned love of) People are excited. They understand the state of the game. Most people have been here for the better part of a year and have been following the game. For people asking about the game, their questions are answered from reliable sources (twitter, reddit, and other dev interviews) or they are told where find them. About all these "hopes" that people have about the game, let them enjoy the time until release. What people are doing and saying in the forum does not negatively affect people why does it matter so much. When the game is released we will all see what content is provided. BTW I'm not trying to be rude, just have a different opinion on forum actions I guess. I only believe what I hear and see from the devs. If people do their research about the game like they should, then when they stumble across a role play with unverified info, then they should take it for what it is ( ie an entertaining role play)

I don't know where you got that from but they said it will be a mouse and keyboard. It's not impossible but it'd take practice like any actual instrument.

Thank you for visiting the home of our campaign and welcome! I will be posting updates here as they come. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My name is Bobby Cruz. Just like you, I am a citizen of Identity. I think we can all agree that we are incredibly excited for this game to become a reality. Personally, I am eager to see what my fellow citizens choose to do with their lives. Will you pursue a career in law enforcement and bravely commit yourself to protecting others? Will you become a successful, innovative businessperson and provide great products and services to the people of Identity? Perhaps you are a creative mind and will opt to become an artist, interior decorator or furniture designer. No matter what path you choose in Identity, it is critical for you to be able to live your life, fulfill your roles and enjoy yourself in a community that is happy, safe, and equal. After much thought, I have decided to announce my campaign for Governor. My goal that I commit to you, the citizens, is to provide a community that is constantly harboring a place for your opinions on important matters. Governing is not a one-person job. Having as much input as possible from our citizens is key to a successful, transparent and well-functioning government and society. Our Goals If elected, the government will run on three essential platforms: Involvement, Ideas and Impact. Let me explain: INVOLVEMENT This is the foundation of my campaign and will be the foundation of our government if I am elected. In order to successfully carry out my role as governor, I am asking for input from all citizens no matter your background. Each and every one of your opinions matters to me and are vital to shaping a society for our citizens. Involvement is open to anyone and everyone who is willing to sacrifice their valuable time for the betterment of our society. Opportunities for involvement will include being able to serve on the Governor’s Cabinet, multiple committees across a variety of disciplines such as labor, environment, public policy, and ethics, as well as citizen polls and votes to directly provide the government with your opinion. IDEAS Once you become involved, whether it be through the cabinet, committees or taking part in frequent polls and votes, your ideas have the potential to become reality. Have an idea about public policy that you would love to see implemented in our community? Are you unhappy with a recent governing decision and want to voice your opinion for change? Maybe you are living in an area experiencing an unusually high amount of crime and want to establish a neighborhood watch program. All of these are possible and we want to hear about it. As your governor, I promise you that my team and I will evaluate every single one of your ideas with seriousness, professionalism and promptness. Not one idea gets overlooked in my office. I want to implement your ideas into our community to make it a better place. IMPACT Lastly, your ideas become impactful in the community. This is where your ideas about how our community is governed are put in place. When your idea successfully makes it through and is approved by voters, our citizens, we take immediate action to implement it. My commitment to you is that I will enforce these new ideas to the fullest extent of my authority. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now that we have covered the platforms, I will move on to my stances on important issues facing our world today. I will do my best to keep it short and sweet, and I will welcome your questions at any time! Issues TAXES Tax percentages of income and how they will be distributed are yet to be determined. This is one of the biggest and most controversial parts of a government thus it is a work in progress. I would like to bring on a committed campaign team that I can collaborate with to pursue this venture. Please see “Involvement Opportunities” below for more information on how you can become a part of the campaign. EQUALITY Every citizen has the right to pursue any opportunity they desire, so long as it follows the law, no matter their background. I am committed to ensuring that this is enforced, maintained and improved upon throughout my term. HEALTHCARE Healthcare is a right for all people. I believe that it should be provided, free of cost, to all of our citizens. Funding will be provided primarily through taxes. GUN CONTROL A controversial matter that is of utmost importance. Guns will be very difficult to obtain in our community. Prospects will have to complete an intensive background check, training programs and psychiatric analyses before being considered for a gun permit. DRUG LAWS Illicit drugs such as cocaine and methamphetamine will be illegal. Marijuana, alcohol, and tobacco will be fully legalized. JOBS AND MINIMUM WAGE My goal is for every citizen to have a job or career that they enjoy and that they can make a decent living off of. Minimum wage will be set at $15 to ensure that citizens can provide themselves with the basic necessities to live. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INVOLVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES Our campaign is currently looking for a number of individuals to assist us across all categories. Please direct message me for an application. Current Openings: Campaign Advisors ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Bobby Cruz for Governor Campaign is a committed supporter and volunteer for the Human Rights Preservation Organization. http://tinyurl.com/j2236nw ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you all very much for taking the time to read my post. Please feel free to ask questions, either on this post or through direct message. I look forward to the future of this campaign and the future of our community!

Hello! I'm a 16 year old boy from Germany. I found out about Identity when I was going through my recommended list on youtube and I love RPs like this. I'm playing a lot of DarkRP and Altis Life and I would just love to play this game very soon! I'm propably going to be some sort of a guy that organises everything so that nothing goes wrong. (Not only crimes though. I want to help out a few of you :D) Or maybe a politician, because I already am in real life (sort of) My ingame name is gonna be Harrybert, but I still need a last name (Thats not my real name) See you all ingame

Hi everybody, I'm Joris (Spliffa) from Belgium, 29 years old. I'm really looking forward to this game. I had an idea for a game very similar to this one more than 15 years ago, and I hope this will be as good as it's being portrayed. I'm not a developer or anything but I really want to help in any way I possibly can. Kind regards, Spliffa

As before, im nitpicky on details and i thought this idea would be cool. Ive seen it discussed and rather poorly executed on ArmA 3 for Altis Life and i figured, if they can do it there, why not here? So my idea/question is: Will there be vehicle wear and tear? Will whatever car or vehicle i drive gain mileage over time the more i drive it? As stated earlier, a few people have attempted this in a simple code that just makes your vehicle explode within a random mileage range (I.E. Anywhere between 150,000 - 200,000 miles your car will explode) and because of such it was quickly struck down However i feel AAA roadside assistance would be a cool company to run and that it would keep the economy flowing. if people got to start worrying about how much gas they're using or how much mileage theyre putting on their car, theyre more likely to walk places that are close, maximizing player interaction. food for thought.

Hello all. As a potential future Governor, I thought it would be a great idea for all of the candidates get together in a group chat somewhere and discuss some political guidelines that we will all follow. Things like no false promises, etc. essentially just some guidelines that we all have to follow in order to be classed as an eligible candidate. In America you have to be an american born citizen and over 18 I believe, and while I know these don't apply here its the same concept. These guidelines can be ignored but it will seriously hinder your chances of becoming Governor. I also want to discuss certain laws. We should decide a set of laws that cannot be changed, for example murder. If you win the election, you must enforce these laws. So for example having a 30% tax wouldn't be one because each Governor can decide what they think will suit the economy, but things like theft should never be allowed no matter who is in charge. Again, you can change these set laws but we as candidates will do everything we can to ensure you only win if you follow these laws and guidelines. We won't include any that there is conflict on, for example maybe 3/10 people don't agree with you having to keep your promises, so that wouldn't be included. Once we have completed these lists and conflicts, I will make a post outlining everything for the citizens so that they know if we are breaking the standards. Let me know who would like to participate in this group discussion and when you are available to do so. Thanks, ~ Joel.

I think it would be awesome to travel the roads in a big semi truck, hauling product from distribution centers to the main store that people buy merchandise from. Furniture, home decor, food ex. You name it.

I think it'd be fun to own my own convenience store, that sells; clothing, food & drinks, house plants, and other things.

If there is one thing that will always help with immersion, it's gestures. General talking gestures (movement of hands our front), wave (steady hand up and the moving hand), hands on head, face palm, laugh (hands on stomach or flailing, Surprise (hand over mouth), Cheering, Point, If you see some Arma communities they have generic military gestures which people try to use. I feel the abInsert other media ove are a must to not only keep the immersion factor, but general communication would flow better and provide better RP situations. I really hope you consider this suggestion if you haven't already so that we may have some great RP scenarios involving gestures.

Hello to all of you at the Police Precinct! I wanted to stop by and quickly introduce myself to you. My name is Bobby Cruz and I am running for Governor. Law enforcement is one of the most important aspects of our society and is the key to it running smoothly and safely. I want you to know that I appreciate what each and every one of you do on a daily basis for our community. I would love your input on how our campaign can improve in supporting you. Here are some questions I'd like to pose to all of you: What percentage of tax do you feel is sufficient for you to run an efficient, quality and successful police force? and What kind of gun control laws would you like to see implemented in our society that would best decrease the amount of violent crime? Thank you all for your time! Please feel free to visit my campaign home, linked below, and ask me any questions! All the best, Bobby Cruz

Thank you! I absolutely am itching for the immersion. I can't wait to experience the vast choice and careers. My main goal is to progress through the police career and find myself a nice little home. I plan on getting my wife to play as well, she's a singer in reality and is excited about that ability within the game.

Thanks for the clarification TheoGT! Funding for basic emergency services, such as police and fire will be primarily through taxation. I have yet to determine the percentage of taxes by income and how they will be distributed. I am in contact with the police officers over at the Precinct and I will be taking into account their opinions about what they think is a sufficient amount of funding to be able to operate a successful police force. Other policies like the ones you mentioned are dependent upon how much of it is already established in-game. My hope is that the government will be able to have control over a vast majority of policies and laws. If so, speed limits will be standard, and other essential laws will be in-place and enforced. Police officers will have the authority to enforce the law to it's fullest extent and punish those who are not following the law. There will be no place for abuse of power, police brutality, corrupt officers, or any of the such under my office. I will have strict policies and procedures to prevent such events from occurring. I would also love to have open communication with citizens if they have an experience with the police that they think should have been handled differently. Police actions such as tasers and the use of force will be set and monitored under a strict set of guidelines and laws. Police officers may find themselves in difficult situations where they must choose between using force and not. My goal is that through training and experience these officers make the best decision possible, even in the worst of situations. Specifically, to answer your question, tasers will only be used under these circumstances: 1) The individual is detained. 2) The individual is resisting arrest 3) The individual poses a direct threat to the arresting officer (has a weapon, is charging at the officer, etc) I hope I have answered your questions sufficiently. As always, please ask me for any clarifications or new questions. All the best, Bobby Cruz

Fully aware of that, I'd hate to make a wrongful accusation against the wrong parties. However once able, the sweet taste of justice will be exacted against the truly guilty. But in the meantime, guilty until proven innocent ;D

Seeing all the reactions on this post basically proves my point. Everyone has a certain idea about who's a moderator, who isn't. There's ideas on what is true, what isn't. There's ideas on who SHOULD be writing the truth, who isn't. My two cents in this is just that: There's so many varieties of the truth out there that I sometimes don't know what to believe. I'm not mentioning names simply because I don't want to falsely accuse anyone, on anything. I wholeheartedly believe that there's a few people in our community who are active on social media, who talk with the devs, who hear a lot of things and then tell us. Honestly, I do believe that. But looking at all the posts about all the different kinds of jobs, shops, companies, etc. etc. which I cannot compare to what has been officially promised as actual in-game content, then I feel there's a sense of disconnection between what is actually going to be in the game, and what people HOPE will be in the game, stated as a fact. Fact is that a lot of topics on this forum simply are based on hopes. And nothing more. And it saddens me that people go to great lengths to defend posts like that, where in actuality nothing whatsoever has been promised to be in the game. I think, in conclusion, it would help to let people know that this game (in the current state) is not some form of Second Life; it's not what you make of it. It is what the devs will provide. And that will be a lot, and it will be awesome and I really cannot wait to see it, but it will all be confined to what they deliver.

Using the mouse pointer and keyboard to play an instrument is going to be a challenge. A way that I feel could simplify playing would to be able to assign more than one note to a key on your keyboard. Of course this would only apply to pianos and guitars, but you'd be able to create your own chords and play much more complicated songs. As a piano player myself, I'd be faaar less constrained and it would make the impossible possible using only a keyboard and mouse.
