2 pointsSo after reading the FAQ a bit more in dept I saw this sentence in one of the questions: "Players cannot access another players home without an invitation." This makes me a bit concerned since that means no robbing of players houses will be possible. Robbing houses is one of the most fun and thrilling things to do in Gmod DarkRP, and if the developers think that robbing peoples houses will have a negative impact on the housing aspect, here are my suggestions: * Give players the ability to buy alarms for their houses (Locks come with the house). * Nerby cops and the player owning the house gets alerted immediately when a house alarm has gone off. * Robbers have to buy a crowbar/lockpick to be able to get inside of the house if the door is locked. * Crowbars/lockpicks will be very limited in stores. * Robbers are only able to slowly carry one object/furniture at a time making the robbing process take loads of time. * Players can buy cameras which can be accessed via your phone (this will probably take loads of time to implement and I don't think it's really that necessary). * To keep certain things safe in the house, players can buy safes. * Robbers are only able to rob a house if it's empty of players (Just to keep the houses safe places to chill and hang out with firends) With only a few of these suggestions implemented, robbing houses would become very hard, which is a good thing since you wouldn't want players houses to constantly get robbed. Also one thing to keep in mind is that the houses in DarkRP are often empty which means that you can easily find the valuable stuff fast, while in Identity, the houses will be filled with loads of furniture making the search harder for robbers. I really hope that the developers will consider these suggestions since I think it would add to the immersion of a game like Identity. EDIT: After some discussion I feel like I need to clearify a few things. Since the developers have said that the only way to enter a house is through an invitation, because the performance will be an issue, I will try to explain my ideas how this could be fixed. So since houses will feature an instanced loadingscreen, the robber could be transfered into the house with a loadingscreen, exactly the same as when a player gets invited. The only difference is that the robber didn't get an invitation. And for example if a player could only invite 10 people to a house, then only 5 robbers and 5 cops should be able to enter the house and there wouldn't be any noticeable differences in the performance. The only problem with this is that if the loading times are long, there could be situations where the cops and robbers could be in a loadingscreen at the same time, which would result in them passing by eachother without the cops or the robbers noticing eachother. The solution to this problem could be to have a display on the door indicating if a player is about the get in/out of the house, or have a blurred verson of the avatar remain standing outside the door while loading. Another thing with the houses is that they are places where you are able to just chill out with friends and such, without any action or robbers. How to fix this problem is to only make robbers able to rob the house if there are no players inside (which includes the owner and the players invited).

2 pointsSo you walk through a room into a thick cloud of virtual smoke, and are presented by a group of sharp dressed gentlemen with cigars in one hand, and a glass of whiskey in the other hand. Half of them are sat in the lounge area, the other half with cards in hand halfway through a game of Texas Hold'em. Don't you guys think it would be great having something like this in game? No pre game lobbies or nonsense, just the ability to walk in, have a virtual toke and play a few rounds. That would be sick I think
-
2 pointsYou either must be terribly uninformed or don't smoke it yourself, because I couldn't disagree with you more. The majority of people don't suffer from Marijuana withdrawal whatsoever and any psychological damage only comes from a strain with particularly high levels of THC in it.

2 pointsHaving done Bank heists in altis life in arma 3 I can agree with you but a bank heist should be almost impossible. its meant to be a real achievement and it would give something for the player run radio stations to talk about.

I mean it's running, so I'll probably repaint it, throw on some decals, new body kit, lower the suspension" *Kevin begins walking around the car forming a vision for it* "A custom exhaust system couldn't hurt, get it to sound real good, and maybe a custom interior. Oh, and underglow lighting of course. Probably give the engine bay a good scrubbing, get it shining"

2 pointsThere you go again, blabbing on and on about how the population will take up arms if a government is created in your imaginary world. In reality it would only be a select few insane rednecks including you. Voids get filled, and by creating a void, with the elimination of government, you shouldn't be surprised that it too will fill. Have you even stepped a foot into the world of economics? sounds like you haven't. Patents, copyrights, and trademarks have nothing to do with welfare. Patents have fueled innovation. Sure I'm not against the right to bear arms, but you must understand that not everyone can use a gun. Not everyone can defend themselves. It is indeed an arguments, either a foreign government will take the land, or a new government will form in that land. That is it. Just because you have guns doesn't mean you are going to defend yourself against something like that. It would be like the U.S military vs Somalian pirates. good luck with that.

2 pointsYesterday afternoon, for another Identity Insider, we've released a video detailing the workings of player housing in Identity and what it has to offer at our present point in development. This gives you a good idea of the level of fidelity we're going for in all of our key systems, and more videos will follow as we continue. Housing was chosen for our first video as our initial focus in development is for features present in the upcoming Town Square module. If you haven't already seen the video, check it out above. Housing as you've seen in the video is an excellent place to hang out with friends, but it has a lot of good practical uses, too! First, housing is the primary storage location for items you've collected. Whether it's a bookshelf full of books, a gun-rack with wall-mounted guns, or a crate full of junk, it's sort of like a bank for tangible stuff. Housing is also valuable for moderate crafting, too. Some advanced recipes might require a factory, but a lot of stuff can be created at your home using special crafting tables. A hydroponics table can even be used to grow small-scale plants, legal or otherwise!

2 pointsAll very good questions. We continuously plot our budget to hire as many people as we can (accounting for up to a years pay in most cases) in all essential areas. This essentially means that in order to make more room for more artists or programmers, some of us have to do multiple jobs at once. For instance, I'm both the Community Manager and a 3D artist. Paratus, besides just being our project manager, is also a full time programmer and technical artist for Identity. He's always busy with one thing or another and It's not that he's taking 6 months to do one thing. it's more like that he's actually moving from one priority to another with the video never being at the top of that list. The longer it takes him of course, the higher priority it becomes, and it's certainly far past due now. He knows that and isn't intentionally avoiding it. We've had a lot of people offer to help us for free, but we've also had a few offer to help for a price. We have hired a couple freelancers in the past from our community on Twitter, but we do have incredibly high standards for our artists, and not everyone is capable of meeting those standards, and that kind of talent doesn't come free. The other issue is that, perhaps hypocritically on my part being the exception, we feel very strongly against accepting free work. With our budget in check, we can't afford to pay these people if they were looking for a paid job, and don't feel comfortable exploiting their services for free. There are a lot of moral and ethical concerns regarding that, even if the person providing thinks they are ok with it. From our experience, eventually they are going to want compensation, which leaves the door open for potential legal issues. I think this post particularly is a wake up call for our entire team. As a result of our lack of communication, we can observe how damaging false accusations, like that posted on Reddit can be, especially when noone from the community has been provided anything in support of countering these claims. Worse still, this burden is my responsibility specifically, and I absolutely do feel like I am underachieving by not being able to provide new information to our community with any kind of frequency. I will work with Paratus to see what we can move around to develop a new strategy for dealing with our PR issues.

1 pointWho We Are We are an established motorcycle club that has been in existence since June 27th, 2015. We are not murderers and thieves, like the media would have you believe. We are not terrorists or national threats, like the government tries to make us out to be. We are not all outlaws or criminals, like the A.M.A has written to outcast us. We are members of your community, we are citizens like you. We are enthusiasts of motorcycles, its lifestyle, and its culture. We are protectors of our communities and someone you can turn to, no matter the situation or odds. We are Feared N Fearless Motorcycle Club, a brotherhood and sisterhood that goes beyond blood or name. In essence we are a family of bikers who work hard to make sure our family is safe, and prosperous. We are one of the most reputable and respected motorcycle clubs found online, and no matter the odds, we always prevail and become stronger. We have been through many things throughout our existence, and we know more will come, but we prepare for any situation that can present itself. Some of us have been through our own forms of hell, and because of FNF MC, we have been strong enough to conquer them. All of this, makes us a tighter family than most other motorcycle clubs can offer, and makes FNF one of the best clubs to be part of. Our Mission Feared N Fearless' mission is to become the most reputable and respected motorcycle club in the servers we establish our charter(s) in, and become the most known motorcycle club across this community. Our focus is on loyalty, dedication, and longevity, and becoming the most respected and reputable will aid us in our focus. No matter the server, no matter community groups, we will be known and respected anywhere we go. We know respect and reputation is something that must be earned, and we will let nothing stand in our way to accomplish our mission. This mission even carries over into our recruitment, because earning your place here will be no easy task. We want to continue our brotherhood and have no care for quantity, only quality brothers here for the betterment of the club. 1% We are a "1% Motorcycle Club" and we flaunt it proudly, because we believe in, and defend, our rights and freedoms, even if the law, government, media, or even society is standing in our way. The American Motorcycle Association wants to label and shame us by calling us outlaw bikers, and we proudly accept that labeling, even if it gives us a stigma to society. We govern ourselves and hold ourselves accountable to different standard of law, and if it conflicts with society's law, so be it. Some of our members may become involved in criminal activity or there may be even convicts within our ranks, but this doesn't reflect the club because we don't encourage violence or illegal activities. Any illegal activities any member becomes part of, is their decision, not the club's. What We Do We party, we ride, we fight, we do anything we want, whenever we want to do it. We hold rides, runs, shows, charities, parties, national celebrations, and even conventions to mix it up with our neighbors and friends. With that being said, our business is our own. Any club business is not discussed with anyone outside the club, and we respect and defend our right to privacy. Whatever our business is, if the public needs to know about it, we will make sure they know. We are always looking for fellow enthusiasts and free thinkers, who are searching for like minded individuals to challenge and expand their world and perception. We also offer aid to anyone who needs it and feels they have no where else to turn. We even plan on getting involved in the business sector and, if possible, the sporting sector. Our History Our history is a long and twisted story still being written today. It is a collection from our original members, who began it all, to our newest members, who help shape our present, and write our future. To fully understand FNF MC and why we are the way we are, you must first understand where we started, where our father's started, and where our grand father's started. We must start in 1948 with Original Red Devils MC. Chapter 1: The Origins Chapter 2: Dogs And War How To Join Like mentioned above, joining this motorcycle club is no easy task. We have severe trust issues, and it does take a long time for FNF to fully trust anyone. We are not, what we call, a "Hand Out Club", which will give out patched positions, instead we believe you must earn your place here. Becoming part of the club requires members to not only probate for us, but to first hang around with the club so we can get to know you, and for you to get to know us. This process can take time, but proves to us who wants to truly be part of this club, and who would just like to say they are. Dedication and loyalty are just some of the qualities that can help you through this process, but this process is different for everyone. We believe in the motto; "You Get What You Give" and only give the patch to those who have earned the right to call themselves a member of Feared N Fearless MC. Recruiting We are not currently recruiting for Identity at this time, we are only recruiting for our PS4 charter on GTA Online, as well as we are looking to expand to XB1, and PC. We even plan to open up a SAMP charter or 2. If you are interested in becoming part of Feared N Fearless in the future when Identity is released, please join our support crew to keep up to date with the club and our activities. 1 point@Shadow765 I think that official servers won't have moderators/ staff doing that because it will be more lax than strict e.g. official servers usually are casual rp. @JAWZ has the right idea, the system which will be in place will stop excessive killing. So if you did want to have a serial killer character, you would need to kill your victims in a pattern like 1 every hour or something like 3 a day. Official servers will not be super serious but there will be systems in place to regulate things so people don't come on just to troll and ruin the game play for others. Also @JAWZ you might not want to stay in character all the time and now and then rdm someone, but you killing that someone may not like you breaking the rules for your own benefit and so how would you like it if you worked so hard for something and I just came up to you and rdm'ed you. You will not like that" so don't think its ok every now and then.

1 pointI'd love for both food trucks and restaurants to be in the game (I'm sure restaurants will already be in the game).

1 pointWell Anarchy means that there are no laws in place. So pretty much man runs man. With no laws you'll have no way of having control over the people you are trying to lead. Some might listen to you but most will be like "fuck it I don't gotta listen to anyone cuz I live in a Anarchy community". And you need funds to do all this stuff you're saying you wanna do. With no funds to build your community all you'll have is a huge poverty percentage. You say you'll pay out of pocket. That's not gonna work unless you start off a multi millionaire. No wait a multi billionaire. That's not possible so to get funds you gotta ask for funds right?? That's taxation so you'll pretty much go against your own agenda.

1 pointHello, First of all thanks for the effort but however I'd like to discuss something with you about this. I like the general way it works and obviously promotions should be based on either applications or achievements. However things such as field supervisor are needed in police departments. For example a normal police officer won't just get Captain but will also have to learn how to be a supervisor before he can lead a big part of the department. I love the way it's drawn and stuff and argee on the general concept however lots of ranks are missing. SWAT should also not be a full time job within the department as SWAT would serve as supervisor/patrol officer untill they are actually needed.

1 pointFalse again, IT CAN be based on mutual consent, even if there are taxes! Simply because at this state of chaos that you want to have, people are WILLING to pay for protection, and services! Secondly, In your scenario, you are being irrational with the human condition! Who said it had to be 10? It could be 30, 60, 100 followers who want a country, and just by wanting a country, we would easily be able to start one! Thirdly I find it ironic that you call yourself a capitalist, because corporations would FAIL without any form of government! There would be no real currency, so you would completely rely on the coincidence of wants like the cavemen did, there would be NO reason for innovation, because no one is going to protect my patents, or copyrights, so research and development is a waste of time and money, Infrastructure would collapse, say goodbye to your roads, radios, televisions, water, and phones. At such a point where you have completely ruined a country, yes, people would be absolutely willing to pay me or someone else to help fund a new government that can actually keep them safe, and have an infrastructure! Also, If this were to happen in the USA, and I am the Prime Minister of Canada, or the president of Mexico, what do I see right next to me? FREE LAND, all I have to do it take it, and now you belong to a country that is probably a lot worse than the one you just destroyed. Again, Anarchy is impossible, it can not last more than a few minutes before groups of people start banding up for common necessities.
-
1 pointI prefer the heist on the bank truck where they ran it off the road using a tow truck. Can be seen in payday 2. Such a good scene with the famous hockey masks.
-
1 pointNon-sense. In a anarcho-capitalist society everything will be privatized so a person will find plenty of jobs that will pay more than 12 dollars, you´d probaby earn more by getting money from the church or charity for the poorer classes than working for a Company A. look I understand what you mean but this is not possible in a scenario without taxes, without taxes you´ll earn so much money that even shitty jobs will pay decent and with plenty of competing companies striving for profits without regulations there will be cheaper alternatives of food, houses and tools for less income people. This is very simple.
-
1 pointTrue, I can tolerate minarchists every now and then. But to be tolerant to somebody that is intolerant is self-detonating. National-Socialists and Communists are the worst statist scum out there,.
-
1 pointDoubtful as its there dream game and so they won't release it unfinished. No Mans Sky was a cash grab, and everybody knows it. Also they had the community pressure them to release it early, it happened and was shit. Also other companies said they wouldn't release a game unfinished and did because they had publishers forcing them to rush it out and get the money. They don't have the developers making their own dream game, they just do it for business, Asylum Entertainment are making their dream game and so thats their passion with creating it. (obviously it could go horribly wrong) but I don't like to see the negatives taking over.

1 pointRobbing a medic shouldnt be bannable but it should be massivly looked down upon in the community as they spend their time saving lives.
-
1 pointThat is the developers goal to make it so 300 players can fit on each server. They said they are adding 300 houses to the map, + apartments and more. This will be a official server figure, but the community servers may be able to get more than 300 players slots per server, but I think 300 is good goal.

1 pointHello citizens! It's been too long since our last developer blog entry, so I wanted to take the time today to update all of our backers on Identity's current state of development, as well as give a little more insight into the process behind the scenes. During the first year and a bit of development, most of the time was spent developing key backend systems. Networking modifications, weapon physics, character customization, voice communication and so on. That's all behind us now, and I'm happy to say it's gone as well as we could have hoped. Now and for the past couple of months we've moved on to gameplay development, making those backend features do the fun stuff. This Month in Development In this last month our lead character artist, Miroslav, has finished up everything we need for your characters going into the Town Square release. We're always going to be adding more character customizations over time, but to start you'll have the choice between 4 male and 5 female race options. After selecting your base race you can customize further with skin tones, blemishes, scars, eye color, hair styles, hair colors and tweaks to facial features. Identity is expanding on the usual character customization, though, as some of the options available can only be gotten through achievements. Prison tattoos are an example; if you see someone with such a tattoo you know they've done something to earn it. A lot of work this month has also gone into the player housing systems. In following our previous messages, our home customization system has been in place for some months although we've been expanding the floorplans in preperation for the Town Square module release. Sean, or Motown as you may know him, has prepared the various apartments you will have in the Town Square. If you have made a smaller pledge to Identity and do not have an apartment yet, we're going to be giving you access to a temporary (small) home in the Town Square so that you can play with the cusomization features. If you've pledged for a package containing an apartment, Town Square will show what you'll have in the full Identity game upon release. Just this morning our lead programmer, Henrik (AKA Mathalion), finished up the karaoke systems. It's a minor feature for Identity as a whole, but it's going to be loads of fun in the Town Square module! Just off the lobby of the hotel is a slick little bar, complete with a karaoke stage. You'll be able to queue up your favorite songs on the karaoke machine and see the lyrics on one of the monitors around the stage. The microphone on the stage really works, too, amplifying your voice out of the speakers so that your singing can be heard by everyone there! Most of us are terrible singers, so karaoke is going to have a lot of hilarious moments. If you're just there to watch, the restaurant by the stage is fully functional, too! It's Been Too Long I'll just come right out and say it: we at Asylum Entertainment have really had poor PR these last months, and you guys deserve better. You deserve much more frequent updates, and we're committing to give you that moving forward. We're a relatively small development team today. Currently a core staff of 5 incredibly talented full-time developers, I'm amazed every day with what this team can accomplish. Outside of our core we have a handful of part-time workers, mostly artists, who are also very skilled. Because we're a small team, many of us have to wear several hats. For example, Sean is our community manager but also a 3D artist. I myself am the project manager, a programmer and interface developer. This leads to few resources to dedicate towards PR as there's so much work to be done on the game itself. This is something we knew though, and we're going to set some time aside regularly to keep you in the loop. The Town Square module is coming soon. We're in the final months of 2016 now, and you'll finally be inside the first piece of the Identity world in the first quarter of 2017. It's a little later than we originally hoped since we're dedicated to making sure everything is smooth and stable from the first moments. Identity is an enormous undertaking, but the most difficult bits are behind us and we're drawing near! What to Expect The first stage of game development is always very boring to talk about, and also doesn't give us much to show you. Creating those backend systems that drive the game behind the scenes is one of the most important phases, but it's not very glamorous. It's for this reason that most games aren't announced until they're a couple years into development. Now that we're past that point, we're going to be able to start showing you real Identity gameplay. The first gameplay video you'll see is going to be in November and will show you just how detailed and in-depth Identity is becomming! You'll see a walkthrough of our housing system, showing just how far it can be customized and some of the cool fun features you'll find in there. Following that video we'll give you a glimpse of the Town Square features, leading up to its release. It's been a ton of work and a long time coming, but we're moving forward at a great pace and everything is about to get very exciting over here.
