Hi everybody, deep down in the Internet where I happen to linger I just found a teaser. A teaser to a game suggesting everything I have ever thought of as a game to be the best game ever, beating every game that I have been playing. Now don't get me wrong, everybody. I am not the stereotypical naive guy to believe that every next game is going to be the best game ever. We will see how it turns out in the end, but I definetely appeal to the administration of the project: please make something out of it. I am really looking forward to Identity. But enough of my expectations. I want to briefly introduce myself: My name is Antonio, and firstly: I am happy to meet all of you. By now I pronounce myself a proud contributor of this game. I am 20 years of age and I come from Germany. As you can imagine I have played all sorts of games. My activity decreased in the recent years, though. As much as I like gaming, I love to program. I have a total experience of eight years. (Yes, that's right, I started to program at the age of 12.) I am not sure what else to talk about so I guess I just finish off by saying that I really hope that this game is headed in the right direction and that a rich community stands behind it helping to manouver it. I'd love to get to know you guys and I can't await the beta :)

Before I start, I wan't to say that this isn't bashing the townsquare module or anything but I just want to know why everyone is so hyped. Sure, I'm excited too but you guys act like you're going to want to walk around talking to people watching old movies, painting and writing books for more than like a day or two. So why are you guys so hyped? Are you misinformed about the stuff you'll be able to do? Do you think it's gonna live up to your hype train? (Probably not)

I'm actually not hyped to see what stuff i can do, im hyped to see how the game is, the only thing im waiting for this 1st module is to see how beautiful is the map and the mechanics of walking and stuff, otherwise i dont really care until the game is done

It would be nice if we could draw up a legal contract for agreements made by people in game. Like for example for services rendered or purchases with payment plans etc. That way we could take them to court if the don't pay up. Just an idea.

My top 5 biggest annoyances in any multilayer role play game. The Russian - people who do a bad Russian accent to seem more menacing. The mute - people who have no mic in 2017, but there character 'has no voice anyway' so it's alright. (How many people have you EVER met that are mute) The mass murderer / hardened military person - the guy who goes round killing everyone, then tries to role play it out, because they think it's fun to ruin everyone else's experience. These people are always dripping in camo clothing and have had world class gun training (how realistic). The drug dealer - fair enough, these role play games are generally based around drug smuggling and making money illigally (I think identity is no exception) but this character is always VERY overplayed. I've never, EVER met a drug dealer IRL, but hey, maybe I live on the nice side of town? God mode - the players who turn every situation around (using role play, usually text chat) to benefit their own character. These people never seem to die or get injured because they always have a trick up there sleeve like "picks lock and escapes unharmed". Personally, if the interaction is fun / funny / interesting, and I end up dieing to good role play, it's more fun than surviving through shoddy workarounds. On the whole, these games or servers are normally ruined by people with a lack of imagination. Poor imagination is ok! But using poor role play on top of that becomes very frustrating for other people. That's why I like role play on Twitch, it's not that server rules protect from bad experiences, it's that the level of quality role play is much higher because there is an audience. I'm not salty, im just bored of seeing huge potential ruined by unrealistic encounters and interactions. Discuss?

https://www.twitch.tv/identityrpg They said that they are going to do daily streams and so far the streams they are making are very informative and intresting. Motown is the one hosting the stream and is joined by paratus and the other devs join from time to time. They answer questions from the chat and they provide us with screenshots and other stuff to show the progress of identity. Check out these clips from the stream if you haven't yet: https://clips.twitch.tv/SmellyUninterestedHamDogFace?tt_medium=clips_api&tt_content=url https://clips.twitch.tv/FragileTameJackalCorgiDerp?tt_medium=clips_api&tt_content=url Yesterday's stream is still archived if you want to see that.

Hello there, Identity community! I'm relatively new here, but still ridiculously excited for what is shaping up to be a fantastic game! Anyway, I'm very intrigued to explore the business side of this game, hence the reason for this post. If you could take the time to answer some simple questions for market research purposes, then that would be incredible! Thanks, Sheeran.

Okay so I just want to know if I'm the only one who secretly hopes that when I open a shop some random robber will come in and whisk me off my feet? Let me explain, imagine it's just a run of the mill day when suddenly a mysterious man (or women if that is more your pace) bursts into your shop and holds you at gunpoint. You're scared at first but you can't help but respond sarcastically to something ridiculous the robber demands. He looks at you for a second and the next thing you know you're exchanging witty banter with this criminal holding up your store (and you hate to admit you're enjoying it) . Soon the police arrive and he finally chooses to make his escape but he startles you by asking you to dinner that night. "You're kidding" you find yourself replying and yet he says "I'll see you at Mario's" (or whatever place) You stand with your mouth agape as he sprints out the back wondering what in the world just happened, yet you already know you're going to dinner with him. Just me? Okay... So is it just me that secretly wishes that would happen? What about anyone else? Have any impossible scenarios you wish would happen to you? Or just any plain ol' thing you hope happens? Feel free to share!

I'm just excited to experience some of the cool features of the game that are made. I more or less want to see if this game is what i'm picturing in my head. And I do agree there needs to be an age limit. Allowing little kids that most likely only ever play call of duty and grand theft auto to play a realistic role playing game is not going to work out. I have over 5000 hours on arma 2/3 life servers and very young immature players. most of the time, ruin the experience.

You are an idiot and should go do something stupid to yourself. 1. They did not finish coding in game mechanics, do not spread information that is false. 2. It is not illegal to do something that is a hobby, as the OP stated... Motown does not get paid which he is working FREE so stfu already about this. 3. If you read what I posted after that message you would see that you are the actual reason why people argue. 4. If you look at it in a years prospective no we have not gotten a lot of news because most of it changed due to a new engine and all we have really seen is a few in game screenshots and developmental art. I watched the stream and I enjoyed it, but it was not as they promised which was suppose to stream the progression they are doing such as showing them model cars and so on. They did show a spoiler which was nice and even acknowledged that they know we as a community appreciate seeing any updates. 5. You contradicted yourself from point #2. 6. If you read my other post you would realize to shut your mouth and stop being an idiot. 7. You are an idiot.

Modules = Alpha = Pledge 30usd or more Beta (December-March [I think]) = 30usd or more FULL GAME = 15usd or more I have a question too: I just pledged 15usd, how can I know if it's done?

I translated this page, and see that you want to create your own server. I would not plan this until the full game comes out. We do not know the quality of the game currently and I would advise you against it.

The stock market can be hard to do and possibly abused if you have enough people on your team. However investing in company's is a good way to support new company's and yourself with income. Then again it is and stays a risk.
  31. 1 point
The devs have said that there won't be an actual stock market in the game! However, others have suggested you could always just have people invest in your company, like in this post ! As far as loans go, you can offer people loans as stated in this post ! Hope this answered your questions

Hello community! First of all, after a few hours reading the forums i must say that Identity has a very chill, helpful community. Secondly let me introduce myself; -- My name is Kenny ( puns that contain "oh no! they killed kenny" is normal to me ) Age: 26 Country: Belgium I'm working as an production engineer ( Electronics, electricity, designing ). -- Currently, in my spare time i am filming and editing movies ( short movies,after-movies, weddings, etc etc,... ), doing artwork and special effects. All of this to become an editor or a Visual Effects editor in the next 5 to 10 years. Besides above a few more hobbies i love to do: Producing music ( hardstyle and most of EDM ), Range shooting, fitness, Playing drums, guitar and piano. -- I do not know exactly which way i will go @ Identity, let me know if (belgian) clans need some people like me. Maybe the route of swat ? who knows.... I have 8 years experience with swat-tactics because i often play Airsoft in real life ( yes i also play FPS games since my age of 10 ). So yea, hi to all, hope to have a good experience here Nibiruz out.

I think you have plenty of time. They haven't even released the latest video, which is supposedly the precursor to the module release. After that, they should be giving us a heads up on the release date.

Police when the game's bugs cause you to do the opposite of what you wanted to do and they pull you over due to some bs. (Driving in SantosRP) *Name of a famous person* People who just join the game and start looking for the biggest baddest guns to massacre everyone for 2 minutes, then closes the game.

Hello citizens! I'm Motown, and I'm Identity's Community Manager, the person in charge of delivering all of your important ideas and messages to Identity's development team! What's special about my role here is that I'm not just your eyes and ears, I'm also one-half of the founding team for Identity! John Vanderzwet and I set out together to make Identity a reality, and have been involved in every aspect of Identity's development since the very start. That means, through me (and our volunteer moderator staff), you have direct access to the very top of our family tree, and we can influence the design and development of Identity together! You won't get that sort of treatment from many industry CM's! So, If you have ideas that you feel will expand and define Identity for years to come, let me know, and I will make sure it hits the right ears. What a relief it has been to know that so many people have been waiting for a game like Identity for so long. I couldn't be happier to have the opportunity to be the liaison that will connect you with the world of Identity and the wonderful people who make it what it is! We strongly feel that we have a winning formula, and the deepest conviction that we may revolutionize the MMORPG genre with your support! We're going to do a lot of great things together, so it's only fair that you know a little bit about me first! My name is Sean, I'm 27 years old. My best friend is my boss and co-worker, John Vanderzet. I grew up all over the United States where I've developed the hyperactive, happy, and unbiased personality you will come to know me for! I call Ontario, Canada my temporary home while I work on Identity as your Community Manager, interim Art Director and 3D prop artist. I went to college for Video Game Design & Production, but my true passion is interacting with people! I've been a forum moderator for many large and well-known online gaming communities, including a default subreddit of 8 million subscribers on Reddit.com, a volunteer guide of the Followers of Asura in "Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures", an event organizer in "Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa" (Big RG fan btw!), the only English forum moderator of a German FPS called "Parabellum" (Google Translate ftw!), and forum moderator for "Planetside 1", "GamersFirst", "Mortal Online", and a few others I can't even remember, for varying lengths of time! Yep, I get around! But now it's time I get to know a little bit about you too. Create a new topic in this forum, and introduce yourself! We want to know exactly what personalities come out of the the deep, dark, depths of the internet to share our passion for Identity! But be nice!
