    The policing career is the most in-depth of all the careers in Identity because it serves a very important role in the game as a whole. When you first start out as a rookie cop, you'll begin patrolling and responding to dispatch calls. If there's a dispatcher online you can speak to them directly with your radio and if not it's handled by an automated system. As you progress you can unlock additional perks in the policing career and eventually you can experience new specialty roles like detective, SWAT, and so on. A police officer can only ticket or arrest another player for something they are known to have committed. If a cop sees you speeding down the road, he then has the opportunity to ticket you. If he turns on his emergency lights and you refuse to pull over for him, the system will now allow him to charge you with resistance. That is, at the base level, how the system functions. Private servers have the option to remove all restrictions and leave it up to the discretion of the officer, although this system keeps the police in-line. A lot more information on policing will be available on the website very shortly. I just had to hide about half of this thread since it was completely off-topic arguing.     Oooh oh oh! I have something about this: Here and here. Your house won't disappear or be available for purchase when you log out, unless you log out and don't come back for long enough to miss paying your rent. There's a limited amount of houses on each server, you won't share houses from server to server, but they'll look the same by default. You can customize interiors when you purchase a house, can't change exteriors and I believe if you lose your house the furniture and decorations you bought are yours to keep and interior design changes to default. The only way to lose a house is if you stop paying the rent- you'll get kicked out and become most likely homeless, as the starting hotel will likely charge you rent aswell.

    If I remember correctly I think map expansions will be handled via the passport. As they add areas you buy the passport stamp to allow travel to the new region. I'm not averse to microtransactions too.

Core Transport is a corporation who's main focus will be to become your #1 in transport. Every week, CORE Transport has a Friday and Sunday special which offers you a TWO WAY trips with any Inter city coach, for only $35.00, price includes vat, baggage and parking (if any) -----------Description of our Logistics system and how it works----------- Logistics - Deliveries and their cost: The way we will be calculating our deliveries cost is not by weight or type of goods but rather by how much room it will take in the truck trailer / van. Space in the truck trailer and van are divided into 6 zones, the costs would be as followed: SPACES 1 = 50$ | 4 = 400 2 = 150$ | 5 = 750 3 = 250$ | 6 = 1,000 Prices will be negotiable, and this is all a prototype. all feedback is much appreciated. Roles and procedures of the Logistical Driver. (1) The Depot: Drivers will collect their asset (vehicle) belonging to the C.T. Corporation at the start of their shift after the yard master / secretary* gives them their Driver Reference Nr and permission to depart from the Yard, once the driver receives his/her instructions then departure is permitted by the Security Guard. (2) The warehouse: The warehouse operators would be loading the truck before the driver arrives. Small vans or other truck drivers would be assigned to bring smaller goods to a company owned warehouse where the customers goods would be distributed to their final location. But it is possible to deliver directly from Factory > Destination if the payment reaches minimum for that process to occur. Its an important job to ensure that goods are loaded efficiently and effectively. (3) Secure Driver Procedure: When any driver enters a yard or distribution centre a driver number must be given, along with the vehicles registration plates and what kind of cargo is being transported. Core Transport is a 100% legal company and it is up to the Security Officer to ensure that no illegal contraband is ever transported. Heavy fines would apply for any contraband that would be attempted to transport. When trucks arrive and depart they are heavily checked by security officers to ensure the safety of the driver and compliance with the law. Dockets would be printed out for drivers with ALL the information they need to take off. This is not the finalized version of the C.T. system description. a logo and the full description will be uploaded in weeks to come.

    I know that you will be able to elect a governor on the servers, so i have been wondering how the bodyguards will work. Do you guys think the bodyguards should, or will have special abilities like being able to manipulate the VIP in dangerous situations and maybe grab them and push them into the back of a safe car? What other abilities should bodyguards have to keep their VIP safe?

    This is wayy (like super) down the line, but it'd be great to have an app for your phone that acts as your in-game phone and it can: Check Bank info Check home security camera's. Manage property (for businesses or multiple homes) Pay bills, transfer money Set GPS, timer, alarms etc Like I said, this is a Utopian dream but still cool idea

    I know Identity will allow you to make your own business, so why not have some billboards posted around town? You can come up and purchase a billboard for a certain period of time. Like until you quit the server for example. You could draw something in the in game drawing program thing (Same one used to make paintings ;D) and put it up on a billboard. The only problem with this are the griefers who will most likely draw a penis or something.. You could have the admins on the server view the billboard design and approve it before it goes up on a billboard. Would only take like 5 seconds to look at it and say "yes".

    Yeah. It's great that such great developers figured out we're short on those titles Most people I know love roleplay and making their own characters but hate making or describing houses, interior designs etc. I have no clue why there are so many building games! I'd love more life simulators.

    I want to live in the middle of nowhere, in some kind of swamp. I'd like to have my own little canoe in which I go rafting along the river on my way to work. And then if anyone tried to come anywhere near my residence, I'd just yell "GET OUTTA MAH SWAMP" in Mike Myers' voice.

    I like the idea of a save haven but i don't think it will be necesary, as we don't expect a massive amount of crime that's related to hijacking and shooting as the dev's said they want equal opportunities so getting weapons will take some work, And our security guards ensure that all of our logistics and passenger services are secure.     To be honest, i like this, it means no player will just kill a cop for his gear or car, so has no reason to needlessly kill cops.

    I think this will be a nice feature. Characters passing out when sick or not eating/drinking will add much more to realism. Remember, if you are not feeling well - please call 911 and we shall be there as soon as possible.

    I like the idea of having collectibles, like say a trading card game inside of identity where there would be different rarities of cards that you could get from buying packs in shops and just like real life there was a chance you would get something super rare. If casinos exist then it would be cool to buy a pack and get like a super rare ace of spades or something and actually see it when you lay down the ace in a card game. And you could have sexy cabinets in your house to display your rare cards in.

    My observation of this is that a lot of people happen to have eerily similar ideas about what Identity is, despite our initially vague explanation of the game. In many of these cases where we appear to agree with people and accept their suggestions, it's because their ideas are things we've already thought of and in many cases, have already implemented or written into Identity's game design document. We want our community to feel that Identity is their game too. We all funded this, together. It's yours as much as it is ours, and if that means eating our own pride to give you credit for an idea that is very similar to our own, it's important to us that you to feel that you've contributed to the project! There have been several ideas from the community that we have been very open minded towards, and want to make sure we include them as long as they compliment existing features and fit neatly into place. But please don't dismiss us as 'yes-men' trying to appeal to everyone at once! We've rejected more than we've accepted! Some ideas sound awesome in theory, but don't work out in practice. Probably the best example of this is the idea of working as an employee of a store owned by other players. That really does sound immersive, but the reality is, there isn't enough work we can give a player to do to keep them entertained in that position. You can only stand around waiting for customers for so long before you want to do something else! Most importantly, knowing that so many people seem to have the same ideas about what they expect to see in Identity, only strengthens our belief that we're on the right track! Now is the right time for a game like Identity!

    Go find a niche indie multiplayer game that is still active on consoles from 4-5 years ago. I'll save you the trouble, you can't. This game will not work on consoles. Players can hardly interact in Destiny raids or in matches of Halo. How can developers expect to port a game that is literally based around player interaction and have it be successful?
