3 pointsMost games take years to develop, whether they have a team of 10 or a team of 40. The triple A developers like Rockstar and what not, they don't work on a game and finish it within the first year of development, for something ambitious like GTA or identity, it takes time, but no one seems to understand that. If it was Rockstar or a triple A title company making identity, usually they don't mention anything about it till its like about to be released a few months prior, because they don't need the additional funding to kick start their project usually, like indie devs do, which is why this was kickstarted before the development happened, because they needed funding. Since it got enough to kickstart the game, it started development, we are all here on the journey waiting for this game to be released, from day one or whatever (you get the point, its not like a triple A title where they announce it when its nearly completed) So everyone needs to understand that game development is long, tedious, time consuming, expensive, and not a walk in the park, everyone expects so much so quickly, when in reality its not that easy. The reason why i wouldn't want to become a game developer is because i have a short fuse and everytime someone would bitch about my game and say its a scam id tell them to go fuck themselves, but that's because i don't have the patience to put up with little delinquent brats who get what they want, usually when they want it. Yes Asylum mentioned PR is important for them and it hasn't been well for them, because their community manager is also one of the main developers for the game and would rather spend his time working on the game to get it out to us. Alot of what they are doing, they want to keep a surprise, they aren't going to show you everything they have in the game, otherwise when you play it, nothing will be new to you, nothing will be exciting, nothing will impress you, because you've seen it all before, whats the point in having a new game, that everyone knows everything about, there's no spark. The developers want to have a good first impression on everyone, as they've said, so instead of whinging because they are only releasing models here and there and not active, doesn't mean they aren't working on the game, it doesn't mean its a scam, it mean's they are showing you sneak peaks to keep you updated on their progress when they make a significant amount of progress. Remember, game development can have it's setbacks, hence when you're a developer its never a good idea to put an ETA date, because chances are, its going to be pushed back, and people are going to get salty.Just my opinion.

2 pointsThe delay is true, although the reason that you're learning it here is that the announcement is scheduled to go out tomorrow. You've just gotten it a little earlier than planned. There's more information involved which you'll be getting details on. There's a lot of good stuff in the delay, too!
-
2 pointsTo conclude, that the devs wont be very clear on dates. They are like THE1THEONLYGONZO said a 9 man team, which is very ambitious with this project. Now i guess we can assume that we will get hard feedback end of March middle of April, well i hope but honestly no promises xD. Its a very hard job to manage and even with large amount of money, the team will only give us final dates when they are satisfied. So i guess we just gotta watch the feed and hopefully we get something! But like NARC said, there are salty people that will complain if, what is given isn't up to scratch. -Branden

2 pointsImpatience. Contrary to popular belief vague release dates, and delays are very common in video games. Even blockbuster developers delay and give vague releases (look at Rockstar and RDR2 and Agent). The main reasoning behind this is contractual obligation with platforms such as Sony, Microsoft, Steam, etc. Most developers will give a vague date to please those backing the game, however it is a rough guideline and normally is set up to allow for a delay from the developer. As for keeping everyone up to date and informed, that is truly at the discretion of the development team. Asylum, like many other companies, are keeping the information regarding their game limited. This is not only to prevent other developers from possibly stealing the concept, and also acts as advertising method for the public. Games can take multiple years to be properly made, and some games have even taken a decade to make. If your that impatient, get off your fat ass, and make your own damn game. Then we can tell you that you are a scam and never going to come out, when you release a vague date or have to delay. SMH at this entitled culture we have now.
-
2 pointsI guess what we want is something that we can say, damn they really going to make this happen and if the team released more content that is more interactive that would really help people stay active within the community and probably draw more pledges into the community.
-
2 pointsGuess what? The devs already stated that they are behind schedule and the module is delayed because of Pax East and GDC 2017! They released a apartment customisation video on 31st November 2016! That is 5 months ago not over a year and so you need to keep up to date more. They have done multiple Q&A's already. They have released a couple of dev blogs too!

2 pointsI fully understand youre point of view, however the game company should release at least a teaser every maby 6 month, to keep the interest up for the most interested players. Rockstar came with a mix of ingame clips, from their tests before they launched the game, they do it before new updates etc. The only clip I have seen from Identity are 1+ year old, and they say "this is what we did in a few month, think what we can do with youre support in a year" Now there have gone over a year but nothing new to watch... Really ? My point is that if Identity staff are not showing anything, then there are a big risk of loosing people, instead of keeping them. I already seen videos where people call this scam. I dont belive it is, and for sure hope that im right. But as long as Identity are not showing any progress then I can understand peoples worry. Alot of talk, all from loose rumers to so called confirmed news, but I as an old player would like to see something (anything) from Identity so I for sure know that this is ongoing, and there is progress. And im sorry but a written forum text are simply not enough. There was a video clip, where there was some so called comfirmed dates (I can post it later if anyone interested to see it), where it sayd that first beta should be available in first quartal of 2017 (meaning thats like within 1 week from now), I can understand if that is delayed, but maby Identity staff can confirm this or deny this ? Would be nice to get some dates what are planned for us (that allready payed to support the development) thats not the same as saying that it will be ready for that date, but something to hope for. And a video clip from something ingame, just about anything. Best regards Turaxis

2 pointsPossibly you could record using a screen recording software, upload it to youtube, and submit it to the devs. They said there will be movies being streamed in theatres, possibly in game movies via youtube could be streamed as well.
-
2 pointsFrom what ive seen in previous posts i dont think you can. Someone else wanted a business selling the same products but i believe it was pointed out that you will not be able to manufacture/sell electrical devices. This is only what i have seen and can remember from the past, it may change in the future. Many thanks @JamesLuck01 for passing this on

2 pointsThere won't be actual cameras that you can use to film in the game! Filming would take up a lot of network on the servers, so they're not gonna implement that unless they figure out some way to fix that issue. Possibly as an alternative, you could go into journalism or maybe radio? I think those may be the closest thing to a camera operator
-
2 pointsThere won't be any fast food restaurants, but I'm pretty sure you can have a regular one! A regular one, I mean where you can go inside, sit down, and can kind of hang out while eating (I'm pretty sure you can go inside, not 100% sure though). If you look at this post, one of the devs goes more in depth about restaurants and food! I hope you make your burger shop, though, I'd definitely eat there!

2 pointsI have read this, but you might want to paragraph it because it is hard to read all at once with out losing where you are at.

1 pointHey all, So while I know this was a thing on "Ye Olde Forumme", I thought it might be a good idea to provide quick way of accessing every screenshot and piece of concept art that the dev team releases on Facebook. Hopefully, I'll do my very best to keep it up-to-date, but don't hold your breath ;). If anyone finds any that aren't included here, feel free to put them in the comments. Thanks! Your chum, Felix.

1 pointMy Governor Campaign Timeline Honesty, something that I feel will help clear all worry and negativity! In the beginning, when I first joined the forums I looked through the Podium and saw two Governor candidates, @ThomasHetch and @JoelKeys ! I've always loved politics so I looked into their campaigns. Joel was doin great fas ar as policy's appeal to the people and Thomas' popularity was just amazing! This is when I decided to start my campaign! So...I began with making the foundations of my Political Party; The Royal Family Party! After I had built the foundations conversations positive and negative had begun! I felt I needed a solid support system that could back me up no matter what. Someone who would be praising of my campaign and critical to the others; a simple game of political war! Idiotic enough I was, I went to the gangs. At that time I felt gangs are loyal and as an elected official I could help protect them from the law! Even though then I didn't like criminals I was more concerned about getting into a position to where I could impact the law for the good of the Island! Several gangs contacted me, I had willing supporters left and right! Then I took the time to think and realized I didn't want to be working with already declared criminals! I then returned to the Podium where I continued my proper campaign, but before long a few more governor candidates showed up...like @BobbyCruz . With that, a few of my previous gang related ideas floated back to surface! My University, laws, political party, etc weren't being discussed. Recently I'd been on the battlefield throwing all the defensive statements I could throw. But then I thought for a minute. Would I be worried if my leader had had activities with gangs...? Answer is yes! That's why NO GANG RELATED, MOB RELATED, ILLEGAL ACTIVITY RELATED MEMBERS ARE ANY LONGER PART OF THE ROYAL FAMILY! @BobbyCruz and I have different views just as all of us candidates do. But, we agree on one thing for sure...and that's the certainty that our leaders aren't corrupt. So to give credit, Bobby was right in his suspicion, right for putting it in the light, right for continuing to give his advice! I currently have great support towards my campaign, between @FatherOfLoyalty and @Dylan_Heisner the campaign continues to flourish! I'll admit, I want to have a great political experience in the game! I'm going to continue this campaign and pray it continues to succeed! May the odds be in the favor of all us candidates!

1 pointWhats the big deal about changing characters/exploring new possibilities on a game that's not even out yet? Herzog has changed his mind time to time but their is no big deal about it. Especially on a website thats about a game thats not even out yet.
-
1 point9 man dev team with 3 or 4 full time and the rest freelancer artists wanting to make a good first impression on their alpha module, if you can't get behind that and understand that then don't pledge and wait till you see the module, if you pledge to support the development, then bitch, dont do research and whinge on the forums about "there's no updates, there hasn't been updates for ages, this is a scam, this is too ambitious," then you can't expect other people to jump down your throat when you sit on here and try and discredit the developers and their hard work because you havent seen enough to please you. Impatient.
-
1 point@Cohen834 If you do decorate the property inside, it won't be like that if you sell it. Also I am sure that is the same as renting it out. Everything you do inside the property will be there while you own it but not if you rent or sell. (Renting I am sure but I don't/ can't be certain and so not official. but selling i am positively certain!! Also if you didn't know, there will be a limited number of houses to make them more unique and so you might not be able to buy a row of houses but more like just 1 or 2 at most.
-
1 pointHow is it rude to tell people to get off their ass and make their own game if they are impatient? Also nowhere did I specify you, so your feelings of being the victim is on you. I am simply stating to make your own game, if anyone thinks they can do it better than Asylum is, with the resources they have. Goddam this age of professional offence and victims is retarded. It is honestly more rude to question the developers like this, on a forum they made for us, and about a game they are pioneering with limited resources.
-
1 pointIF YOU ARE A GAME DEVELOPER, YOU DON'T GIVE DATES, WHETHER ITS THE END OF THE MONTH OR NOT jesus christ, if they say end of this month, then it gets delayed again, its going to be the same reaction that you'd get if you said a specific date, so no you're not right there, you're still going to get people salty if you have to delay it for whatever game development reason. Probably within the next month or two, the module would probably release, in my opinion, only because it was delayed abit, not alot, they havent said anything about a date, or around about date, incase a delay again. The beta will be out like 2018 bro, its only the modules this year, first module soon, the second combat module not far off the first module, then the racing module maybe end of this year if they can fit it in, but its more complicated then youd think with vehicle physics. You need to do your research because you don't look like you know anything about the game.

1 pointDonations help to fund the development and as Exactakatsuki said, they could stop and legally there is nothing to be done. But as far as the developers and community seem, it looks like a strongly supported game going on. Nobody is forcing you to donate or purchase the game, but a little amount can go a long way towards the game. Plus a small amount of incentives with every donation kind of helps you out when the game does come around.

1 pointI'm not being defensive, I'm doing you the kindness of giving you an explanation! And as I said I'm not corrupt! Just because I accept support doesn't make me corrupt. It's not kind to sling around words like that!
-
1 pointFrank has been good to us and I ensured he would have all his members back together due to the fact that he can't post! It was simply a favor. So don't assume I actively recruit criminals for fun like some fool. You wanna call me corrupt then call me corrupt! I know what I am. No slick talking cliche politician is gonna change that! And like myself and my manager just stated, we didn't state any one supported us. We stated that he was in OUR good grace. Please, read before you post. Your advice is to run a clean campaign, how's that going for you Bobby? I run my game campaign the way I see if. If I openly accept aid from criminals then so be it! I'll be committing no crimes if that's what you mean to imply! Remember this is a game and my policies work the best. Nobody wants the stress of the real world in a game. Stick to being slick Bobby. Run your campaign and I'll run mine. You wanna be the cliche politician go ahead. Don't get in a social brawl for what you feel may be a shot at my campaign.

1 pointIf you're so skeptic then just wait until the release of the first module. There will be loads of videos on the Town Square Module on Youtube once it releases.
-
1 pointImplementation of Musical Instruments This is just an idea that I hope the Developers will see and further develop down the line. It would be a fun and new role-play aspect that no other game that I know of have ever done. It would affect many of the businesses in the world with band merchandise, concert tickets, and maybe even being able to purchase their music on a player's phone or computer. I can see this adding a major aspect to the game and it would be the first of its kind.

1 pointIt's still far behind Identity. Identity is releasing modules very soon. Also they are most likely going to give beta around Q3 of this year. It will most likely release the start of 2018. Then it will get lots of players and money took keep on updating. People won't just abandon the game, becuase the will be lots of hours put into playing and people will be apart of communities. Of course it will be competition, but if 'everywhere' does come out, will you still be playing Identity? Becuase I sure will.
-
1 pointSince the Developers of Identity already have created a lifeRP mod for Arma3, they know what they are doing. They are much further ahead in the development and have a great community to back them and give them great ideas which cannot happen in triple A games. Most people here will recognise this game as the pinochle of LifeRP games and the modules will be coming out soon, so the game will get abit more publicity therefore attracting a larger audience making it less prone to being overrun by 'everywhere'.
-
1 pointAhhh I can't wait! The clothing for females has me so excited. Character customization is my main reason for playing. All the other aspects are just bonuses!

1 pointPahaha jesus man the social dynamic of this. Like I remember smiling heavily when in the housing vid he said that we can have room mates. I was like oh man that's cool, that's pleasing, itll be nice having people around. But like how do I explain to my GF, who I live with, that Im dating a 38 year old balding fat guy that lives in his mums basement and that were on our way to getting hitched because his online character looks exactly like Scarlet Johansson but she never speaks so Ill never know its a 38 year old balding fat guy who lives in his mums basement. LMAO

1 pointThis is a short video explaining how to add a photo signature to your account. The picture MUST be 600x150. Please, if a mod could pin this thread so everyone can access it easily thanks.

1 pointTo answer a few of the questions here, there is a large variety of standard food items you'll find in cafes and restaurants, as well as player-made food. Different sorts of food and drink will "fill" you up more than others and faster. Some may even have side-effects. Generally, good player-created food will be the most efficient for consumption. You'll also be able to create your own bars, cafes and restaurants. I'm not sure how lucrative they'll be to own, but a player food-place could turn into a good social point. There will be three places in the Town square module that you can sample food and alcohol: there's a bar/lounge in the hotel, a cafe as well as the cinema. As for the questions concerning a hunger mechanic, there is such a system although you can't die from starvation. There will be some penalties, though. Food consumption won't be forced upon you enough to be an annoyance, but you'll want to grab a bite here and there.
-
1 pointI hope to be head of or at least a professor at the university so i can see my character and your character being good friends. Wouldn't mind RPing some BBQ's and dinner parties.
-
1 pointI'm thinking about being a doctor or first aider. Who will live a normalish life. I hope to help heal others and only charge 10% on top of my purchase costs used to heal. To be fair to the community, reliable and help where I can. With whatever money I earn I would like a house with some player made art. I wouldn't mind role-playing with like minded open friendly people and organise roleplay events such as dinner parties, sunset watching, beach BBQ's and so on.
