6 pointsI will be accepting no salary as governor. Instead I will donate my cheque to the police force to keep them well paid without raising taxes to high levels. Unified Party The Unified Party is a Bipartisan political platform dedicated strictly to the creation and stabilization of a clean government choice and a thriving economy. Our goal is to prevent YOUR governance to be ran by a slew of children bending to the whim of criminal networks. The Unified party will ALWAYS stand direct to the majority populace of popular favor. Our representatives will not be swayed by dirty money, backroom politics, or standardized threats. Platform Policies Our platform polices will be and will remain always to support small government, the lowest possible tax rate, and Marijuana legalization to stimulate the economy. It is the right of the citizens to have the means to defend themselves against vagrant criminals. If we take the firearms out of the hands of the citizens we leave them defenseless against the criminal organizations that reign over black market economies. Where we believe in the capabilities of the police force, we also believe that an armed society, is a polite one. We will not be concerning ourselves with things of lesser consequence, such as jaywalking, or noise complaints. You won't see Draconian Laws or penalties under the Unification Party; We believe in Bipartisan policies, that benefit the community as a whole and endorse economic stimulation and growth. Our policies will always reflect these basic values and understandings, you won't be distracted with flashy websites to disguise corruption or totalitarianism. Sleight of Hand Don't fall prey to the sleight of hand tactics being utilized by other "fundamentalists" parties. You do NOT require high tax rates for a safe community. The citizens have a RIGHT to protect themselves with firearms. Business' shouldn't be taxed more because they make more. We believe in flat rate taxes across the board, unlike the majority of our competition that want to increase taxes dramatically dependent on your yearly income. The successful shouldn't have to pay for the unsuccessful, nor will they under the Unified Party. Don't fall victim to false politics, corrupted deals, and high tax rates. Unified The Unified Party is a stand against corruption. It's a champion for the legitimate citizen and business owner. We will not stand by idly and allow competing political parties to lord themselves over the civilians. We will not settle for the lesser of the two evils. Divided we fall, but UNIFIED WE STAND. A personal thanks to @Jax for designing and creating our insignia and helping the campaign along since it's creation.

5 pointsThe time draws near! In the last dev blog I sent out, I mentioned that we were going to announce the release date for our first playable game module, the Town Square. Those of you who follow our Twitter and Twitch streams will have already learned this date. It's a very exciting and important time for Identity; we're fast approaching the time where you'll first step foot in Identity's grand world. We've crunched all the numbers and can now say with fair confidence that the Identity Town Square module will be released, to all backers with a $30 or higher pledge, on this coming March 21st. What will you find in the Town Square? The Town Square is a social game module. You'll be able to create your character, which may be transferable to the retail game after release, and meet hundreds of other Identity backers in the town square of the clean and quaint city of Ash Hill. You'll be able to talk to those around you, add them to your phone contacts and have full phone and IM support to stay in touch. You'll find a completely functional cinema playing full movies around the clock, a karaoke bar to show off your skills (or see me making a fool of myself), a working restaurant, art gallery, shops and more. The biggest single feature is the housing system. You're getting a taste of the full and complete player housing mechanics that you'll find in Identity. Everyone will have access to a tiny apartment, but those who pledged for higher rewards will be able to check out and decorate their larger spaces. It's a preview of what you'll have in the full game. Invite friends to your place and party it up! After the initial release of the module, we'll continue to add features to the Town Square as they are completed in development for Identity. Barbershops and tattoo parlors will let you customize your character further. A garage will let you sample your vehicles. You'll even get to test your ability with firearms in the police shooting range before the SWAT module is released. For me, one of the most exciting parts of Town Square is just to get inside the game and finally get a feel for Identity and how it plays. Check out a few of the Town Square work-in-progress shots we've released in the past. It's been a long road for the development team here at Asylum, but we're almost there! Flexing our new manpower Productivity has skyrocketed with our new office. We're working better and there are now many more of us knocking out code and assets each day. Our programming team has expanded with Charles and we're still hiring more. We've brought three new and incredibly talented 3D artists on board as well as a new technical artist. Brandon, our new Community Manager, has been hard at work keeping you in the loop. These guys are all proving their worth each day and I'm extremely excited about where Asylum is going. Looking to the future With some of our Town Square art wrapping up now, we're beginning to shift a bit of our focus to the second module: SWAT. The SWAT module will be a team vs team competitive shooter using the combat mechanics you'll find in the full Identity release. Expect combat to be slower and more realistic than most similar games. You'll learn much more about this module as work progresses. Above is an MP5 sub machinegun which will be used by the SWAT forces. This particular model was created from scratch in a matter of days by one of our new artists, Dan. The awesome talent of our art team is undeniable! -- John VanderZwet

4 pointsDuring Jade77's livestream (https://go.twitch.tv/leetperkins) he was/is making a vape and I asked if he could engrave my name in it and he came through and did it for me! You can see the render below. (The name engraved is hard to see due to him keeping the Vape in full view of the render camera,) This guy is also very entertaining on his stream and I would recommend you all to check him out and keep updated with what he is modelling next!

3 pointsThank you very much, good sir. It was a bit strange for one to witness a party, that consists of zero platforms or policies, function as the dominating party within the game. It is honestly appreciated.

3 pointsOur reasoning for this is that we don't want people who can afford to buy apartment spaces through microtransactions to have an advantage in the game. If you were able to rent out the apartments, which you may have gotten through a pledge/MT, you could then translate that into in-game currency through rental income. We've got to consider all angles to make sure everything remains as fair and balanced as possible. You can have multiple people living in an apartment, though! And you can have more than one apartment for access to your stuff in different areas of the world.

2 pointsI work on an ARMA 3 combat mod, the latest update has taken over a year, and that's just a MOD. Topics like this are counter productive, everyone here is well aware that Asylum have made many PR mistakes, but seriously, it's time to move on already.

2 pointsEdited poll again: Removed The Unified Party since it seems a majority of people who voted for them don't take this as serious as this poll is intended. Sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused
-
2 pointsHey . As of right now there are not plans for budkng hotels as you would need to edit the map to build hotels. mabye in the full release they can add this though. Sounds like a nice idea

2 pointsFinally something simple, straight to the point. No complicated fuzz! And I can't think of a single thing wrong with you. Got my vote. If I cared enough about politics.

2 points[I have partaken in many RP threads this is not my first. Micky Tohmpson is a patch member of Men Of Mayhem, previous Pres. of Bad Company Rangers. He rides a 70's styled chopper. Dirty white T or black hoodie with with the clubs cut over, black jeans and Dc Martin boots. Always rides with a cigar in his mouth. Looks like the guy in my profile pic. Last threads were petty thievery and many other criminal things] Micky is awoken by a loud thud only to find himself in a graffiti ridden bathroom stall in some unknown bar. "Wake the fuck up!" Micky slouches up a fixes his cut and black hoodie, sporting flames on the sides with "Support your local m.o.m chapter" written on the sleeves. "Ohh fuck off!" Micky yells as he unzips his jeans and completely misses the toilet as he does his business "Jesus" The unknown man returns As Micky finishes he slams open the stall door open and finds himself in a bar on the south side of his town. A Red Spade Whiskey neon sign awakens him, only to realize it's the dead of night. (sorry don't know what time it is in the RP sesh) He open the door and reaches in his pocket to find sweet unfiltered Lucky Strikes. He walks down the street to meet up with is babe. His custom built chopper. He lights his Lucky, puts his glasses on and floors it down the one way city street, his absurdly loud pipes can be heard from many blocks away. He finds himself riding towards the sunset. Micky slowly rides into a small strip mall near the edge on Roseport. He parks his bike, puts on his round hippie glasses and walks inside Native Cigars and Ciggies, owned by Shalik Ma' lud of course. Shalik instantly knows who hes dealing with. "I've got the money right here" He says after taking a look around his cramped smoke shop, making sure no one is near. He hands over a Gurkha cigar box Micky takes a look inside. Six small stacks of 20$ bills. "Five Thousand?' Micky says as he looks Shalik in the eyes "Yep" Shalik replies "Get me one them cigars, cut if for me and light it" Micky exclaims with a stern look on his face Shalik grabs a high priced cigar from the shelf behind him, cuts it and allows Micky to puff while he lights. His hands shake around as if he is scared. Micky rests his cigar in his hand. He turns away without saying a work and puts the box in his saddle bag. He roars off to find himself outside his apartment in downtown.

2 pointsIn my personal opinion, I feel religion is religion! We can't necessarily control what others believe we can put an end to what is just morally wrong! No, I believe in very little interference, but not complete letting of people run the economy! Some regulations have to exist! All anyone can do is have the law! If someone breaks the law then they suffer the consequence! That's not bad, I remember that Identity is a game and that that's just how some people will be! Some people will enjoy being bad, plain and simple! I don't plan to ruin the game for them, but I won't have all hell break loose!

1 pointI've been known about this project for awhile as well. Game development(backend,UI/UX, mechanics, features, assets, balance, customization, documentation, industry partnerships, QA, anticheat, and anything else I missed takes time. Anyone who has worked 14 or more hours a day, doing anything, for multiple days on end knows burn out is real, so maybe you work shorter hours for a week, or take a weekend or vacation day off. That extends the timeline. Sometimes you have to completely clear your head to reapproach a problem. More time. Also, not all development teams are the same, or progress at the same pace. So they announced dates in the past that they didn't make, mistakes are a human quality. The only one we need to exercise in this process is patience, as the game will still be for sale when it's complete.

1 pointI haven't been paying attention to it since I bought a package but that was roughly Six months ago and I figured there was no reason to just hover over it and pay constant attention to it.. Only reason I came looking is because I got the recent email regarding the updates, decided I'd checkout the forum. Yes, I haven't been waiting nearly as long as the majority. Maybe it dies maybe it's released sooner than later becoming one of the greatest experiences or gaming history or a complete waste of time if the thing never launches Whatever, no reason to hover over it waiting on what maybe never be realized.
-
1 pointYea, plus it would be cool if you were friends with the manager/owner or was the manager/owner you could stay there until you were able to own your own place or just wanted to stay there for free ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
1 pointI like the idea, like @Dominic_ said you cant edit the map, but they could be some already built hotels and you can apply for a Hotel Manager, is that possible?
-
1 pointAdding an motocross, atv, and side by side track would opend up great career opportunities. Such as, flag men to indicate when a rider has crashed and other riders too beware, farmers could also get paid to come and plow and water the track, buisness owners could buy tracks that farmers can build so the buisness ownere can get money from all the race admission fees, riders can get sponsered by buisness owners to buy better gear or better bikes so thwy can go pro and the sponser would get there buissnes name out there. Not only would this allow more career opportunities but it would also allow a place for riders of everyone that owns a machine to hangout and load up their bikes and pack a cooler to keep there stanima up while riding..please consider this option for the game to extend to. Thank you

1 pointAs a gamer with professional experience in product management, and having worked on a life server in the past, I find it interesting how every new game gets the "It's never going to happen" treatment. Regarding your worries about the development process, if you have never worked in software development or ever had a go at setting up your own altis life server, I encourage you to try it! What you will find is a never ending list of things to implement, bugfix and balance. I worked at it in a team of 3 and you very quickly realize the amount of time it requires to make a product people want to play. I spent many many days working 14 hrs or more on the project. Then I would hop on to an Asylum server and see they added 10 different things and balanced this or that, all on a network of servers to cater to 400 people at a time. Its impressive. Now completely change game engines, learn what its limitations are, change development languages, and all the new math you need to figure out AND get it to work together nicely together with everything else without so much as mistyping a single semicolon. It takes even more time. Honestly the little bit of video and media they have presented seems impressive to me. As far as people get concerned with a lack of constant updates, my best guess is they are too busy working on the backend(as they stated + videos of lines of code aren't as sexy as a pile of drugs and guns) and having to balance that with a need as a company to manage their public relations and put their best foot forward. It all takes time. On the business side, they just hired more people on, rented an office. As someone who has run a company making first to market products, these steps by Asylum certainly DO NOT scream to me, scam artists! What it does seem like, is they are pushing FULL forward to making the game they, and others could see that altis life could be. And as far as the release date for the alpha goes, yea it's hype by them, but they definitely need those that support it to tell their friends and raise more cash $$$. Someone might say, but they raised "800k-1million dollars!" I can't say for Canada, but in most of the US, every employee a company adds, their payroll costs the company like 15-18% more than what you see at face value. So if they now have 10 employees(idk) they might have this year covered but I'm sure they still need more. That's not forgetting, but not getting, into the interpersonal dynamics of running an efficient team while keeping them motivated and on task. Making ANY new product takes a lot of time and balls. Maybe some have done it faster and more that you never hear about quit, not every game is developed by a 1 man wonder, sometimes it's just regular people with passion for an idea. Asylum didn't let me down as a casual on their Arma servers and with the 10 Oct update I don't have any reason to believe why they would now.

1 pointHello everyone. This thread is beginning to get off track with some posting random comments and others slurring of insults at one anther. This is supposed to be a professional place where you can talk about family and where to join. You can post you disagreement with the family and we are fine with the criticism but please refrain from continuing to post more negative comments when you have already expressed your feelings for the family. Please no longer spam this thread and if you have a promblem with someone pm them instead of posting here.I do invite you to PM me personally if you wish to continue the conversation in a civilized manner. Thank you all and let's get this thread back on track.

1 pointI'd like to point out that the family has almost 60 members now and we are quite active. I'd also like to point out that the last time you were on was about February and that the neighborhood (your group) is virtually extinct. I'd also like to say that this argument is almost a year old. We do not harass random people, and you also like to not include the fact that Barry Crow was bullying Jerry and trying to order me around for no reason, therefore our anger. We in the Luprano family are honestly not down to have anymore drama here on the forums; the game isn't even out. We are simply recruiting and we continue to maintain the largest group on the forums. So we appreciate if you would go do something productive instead, and if you want a problem with us in game, we will see you on the streets then. Goodbye.

1 pointI agree there are many posts that have claimed to be the best in their fields of business. Personally I included "best" to describe ASC for a few reasons such as; being one of the oldest companies established on the old forums prior to this one; merging with Joelisonline's grand security firm (the only other company to have migrated to the new forums); designing a business plan containing 100's of hours of collaboration and 30,000 words based off of the little information given to us; organization of a subcommunity in the company that plays frequently together; and lastly, with the help of real military documents and active individuals serving, the development of training manuals covering a plethora of scenarios, positions, and responsibilities. According to you, does all of this justify calling ASC the "best private security" out there? Maybe not. Maybe we shall find out in Identity though In conclusion, the claim is moreso to celebrate the hardwork and dedication employees of the company are so passionate to put in and I am very proud of both the community's support and individuals that have joined ASC over the years which are now great friends of mine.
