patience is fine, but you keep delaying dates, and the community does not like it:p I think i can speak for alot of the community if i say either stick to the dates, or dont announce dates:p

I would not say we are booming, but we are stable in the fact that I think our business can lift off at release with a stable growth rate and nothing to exponential as we need be equipped to meet the demands that we will have to face at the start. We now have a full and active set of board members and a solid network of higher management to delegate work down efficiently at release, also we have a number pre-contracted arrangements with certain companies to offer our services which will be key to our starting success. In total I believe that we will hit booming status after release in due time. I would like to thank @uncannierlink for placing us in the Dollabank LLC's Bluechip Fortune 15, I have no doubt It will be a prestigous list of Identity's leading companies. noti3, then they have to deliver it:p they are not good with dates indeed, and i doubt we see the gameplay vid this month. If we dont get that in january, will the town square be there on the 21st of march? who knows, might just not arrive at that date. I dont want to be negative about this but fact is they are not good with dates so im really wondering if we will see TSQ in march to be honest.

I couldn't agree more. Being able to purchase things instead of earning them just takes away from every aspect of the game and what it should be about. Heck just sit on your butt and buy it all. Why even play?

Microtransactions suck. Not just because it gives you an advantage. The whole point of this game is for me to make money and build up to a better "lifestyle", this includes apartments, cars and clothing. If I do all this grinding to work my way up these things it just sucks if you're able to buy it all with real money instantly. Then there won't be any point putting time and effort in this game. This could really break the game and make it fail. @Motown @Paratus @HairyGrenade

No business is REALLY booming as the game isn't out yet. Most companies you see are just one guy who made a forum post to try and get people interested. However, off the top of my head some of the bigger companies that should be taken seriously (As of now referred to the "DollaBank" Bluechip Fortune 15): Security - Aegis, Atlas Transportation - Velocity, National Transport inc, Discovery Logistics, Core Transportation Clothing - Keys, Supreme Media - Identity TV Finance - Dollabank LLC, Rapidora, Fidelity This is a pretty inclusive list of all the Companies I'd consider "vetted." I may have missed a few. I also intentionally didn't include any political organizations or crime families. Though there are some pretty big ones you should be aware of. If I forgot anyone major PM me and I'll check it out and add it.

Here are the stream notes for Identity's twitch stream on January the 30th. Remember - Certain elements are subject to change, especially specific numbers, etc... -- Sorry I haven't done any steam notes for the past 30 days, have been really busy, but hope to start again now so people who can listen to the dev steams have an easier way of viewing them. -- Not much on this one as unfortunately the lead Devs had to be somewhere for half of it. DLC: None really planned, and only will be decided on after full release, as there are a lot of things to add before that. If there is DLC, it will probably just be new Islands that you can possible fly to / take a boat to. Module Language: English only for first module, as they want to get everything out first. In full game, there will definately be many language options, and there will be servers that people will go to depending on how close they are to them geographically. This could mean that there may be servers with their own languages, such as French servers developing. FAQ: FAQ coming soon in discord, for an easier way to find info on the game. FAQ is currently here: http://www.identityrpg.com/community/topic/7-frequently-asked-questions/ New site: in development, with new FAQ and more. In game purchases: You can not purchase in game money with real money, only things you can buy with real money are cosmetics, such as wallpapers for your house. Possible vehicles and apartments may be purchasable, but they will be lower-end ones, not good sports cars etc.... Nothing good will be purchasable, and the Devs are strongly against Pay To Win games. Price of full game: Planned to be around $40-45. The Devs want it to be cheap, but not too cheap so cheaters can keep buying accounts. System Requirements: Optimisation will be a main focus to make sure most people can play it, but with very realistic looking items it may be a bit hard to run. It is too early to say, as a lot of optimisation is still to come, so it’s hard to tell. Possibly GTX970+ Can the community contribute to development?: Not planned to have community help with making textures, and nothing is set in stone, but there could possible be events where people make textures for a contest that could be put in game. Clothing Types: Lots of different clothing types, e.g. baggy, type. In Town Square, there will be mainly generic clothes from modern culture. Past then clothes from different social groups clothing, such as what you would see people wearing in high school, will be implemented. Production of clothes: You can craft clothing and with a corporation you can mass produce clothing, e.g. with company logos on. Clicking on clothes in the inventory will give some info on it, such as who created it / what corporation created it. Clothing Layers: You can wear shirts, jacket, pants, shoes, gloves, 3 accessory slots (rings, necklaces) and a hat simultaneously. There will be outfits that will be the whole clothing slots filled in one. Religious Clothing: Undecided still, as not only could it be used in offensive ways, but it could break immersion, with for example an armed nun robbing a bank. Still undecided and could still be added. Day/Night: Day/Night cycles will be in Town Square Module in March. Jail/Prison Visits: You can try and visit people in jail as jail is not instanced, but prison is so you can not just walk in there. Pardoning: It’s still undecided if governors can pardon someone of their prison sentence. It will be hard to implement due to possible abuse of power. XP: There will be a sort of progression system, where for example if you cut a lot of wood, you can learn to cut wood faster. The game will not implement people having an advantage over other people due to experience, and you won’t have to grind to your friends level to be able to play / do stuff with them. Animations: Animation that require two parties require consent from the other person, e.g. kissing/hugging/ high-five. Marriage: You can get married in game, but it won’t make much of a gameplay difference. Negotiator: This job in the police force won’t be its own job but police can send one in to negotiate, and cops will receive penalties for harming/killing hostages. Self Defence: If someone pulls a gun on you, and you kill them in self-defence, at the moment they haven't got a plan for it, as it’s hard to detect who the gun is aiming at, so its very difficult to tell if it was a murder or self defence. A method will hopefully be added. Healthcare: You will have to pay for doctors, but it won’t ruin you financially. If you can’t afford the fee for a broken leg, you will have to find a way to fix yourself up, or go for a hop. Robbery: When being robbed, there will probably be a pop up window to give the robber the money from your hand, that he is demanding. Skiing: There are snowy mountains, so it can be added but probably on full release. Fishing: Definitely a planned way to get food, and sell fish. Having Micro-Transactions for Clothes,Vehicles and Apartments is going to kill this game. The game was kick started by community and now you guys are returning the favor by putting micro-transactions in it. Specially having the micro-transactions for Vehicles and Apartments it's really bad idea. It would have been fine to have skins for some stuff. But having them for vehicles and apartments is kinda a huge deal and breaks the whole concept. No matter if you guys think that its only cosmetic , Apartments and Vehicles shouldn't be part of Micro-Transactions. Micro-Transactions have killed alot of games, don't let this be an other one. Let the people play the game and earn stuff them selfs, having to pay for stuff like this makes me think of GTA and its current state. So Bob on day 1 can have the best clothes, cars and best apartment . While the rest have to grind their butts off for it. That's a huge unfair advantage. The game at moment it's not out and doesn't have the general public to give feedback on it, no one has even played it, and we don't know much about it. But when it comes out and goes Popular, which i bet it will cause Twitch Channels will consume this game like Candy, there will be big back-lash on the whole Micro-Transactions deal, and if it doesn't get acknowledged many people will just move on and forget about the game (Star Wars,Evolve). Just my 2 cents on the micro-transactions.I understand everyone has different opinions i can respect that, and yes it's a way to support the Devs for sure and their hard work. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't be done right. I bet you if it was as much as only clothes and skins they will still be bought as much. Source (Misinformation - There will be no vehicles as micro-transactions): https://clips.twitch.tv/PerfectHealthyTurnipTBCheesePull EDIT: There will be no Vehicles as micro-transactions.

How do you think all the GTA games work? Nobody buys the games because they already have them, they make almost all of their money off of micro-transactions and shark cards. Also there is going to be DLC, if that's what you mean.

Ah brilliant thanks for that, was hoping there FBI would be in this but the police force will work just as fine

On Official servers when in-game. You go to a educational building, do a little tutorial which acts as your qualifications for Law Enforcement and then you go to the Police station and sign up as a police officer. To go on duty you go into the locker room in the Police station and get changed into the police uniform. To go off duty, you go back into the station locker room and change into your normal clothing.

Idea was scrapped as it made things like security systems feel too much like a mandiorty asset for players. Robbing houses likely won’t ever be a thing

Not sure if actual cameras will be ingame, but I do know you have a phone camera which you would likely be able to take selfies with and etc.

Seems the dev's have went through a lot of trouble to make this game as real as possible. To many aspects to point out but 1 that I will point out. You can WORK to make money to purchase even the trim around your windows if you choose to do so. That being said, I cannot in real life take my 1986 Honda Moped into a bike a bike shop and magically turn it into a 1972 Harley Davidson FX Shovelhead or my torn up 501 Levis and turn those into formal pants. The same way I cannot take my old ass 1971 Ford Pinto and magically turn it into a Ferrari. For me, this whole game is about living a life (outside of my own) and WORKING in order to buy things in game. Your job is your choice. Your income is your choice. I will WORK and earn my money and buy the things I need and want. My initial payment for the passport that I bought was it. I will pay no more for anything else in this game. I do not have a magic card in my back pocket for skins or anything else of the sort. Being able to purchase such things (in my opinion) is just plain cheating and nothing more than a way for others to make more money off of the game. If others stop playing because of greed then so be it. Your choice to make the game anyway you want to. I personally would not do so. Keep it real fellas. That's what has attracted so many folks to begin with. *Steps off my soapbox*

Well said! I would rather pay a full AAA price tag up front instead of watching these microtransactions unfold. Ok, the point is roleplaying but we roleplay to earn money. To buy stuff. Magically making money appear isnt roleplaying.

“ which is why many games have them nowadays.” Would have to completely disagree on that. 90% of the Games companies (it’s actually not the devs) but shitty companies like EA, Ubisoft that put micro-transactions on for one purpose to make more money, not to improve the game.So we are not seeing micro-transactions now days in many games because it supports to update the game at later date but just to make more and more money. There are games out there that make millions of dollars yet they still have them. And on top of that you have season passes and about 4 versions of games going up to 130$. Its all just a way to milk of money from people. I said 90% because there are still some indie studios and companies that actually put those money towards development. And yes development is expensive, and sure put micro transactions in it for support but not in a way that ruins the progression of the game. Look at Witcher from indie studio had no micro transactions, had content for 200+ hours and they still provided free content after release. There are tons of examples, list may go forever of games that have micro-transactions but had no free content updates at all after release.

It is the way life and gaming has become. No one wants to work or earn things and so the devs cater to this. The cosmetic items are exactly what we work for! To show your friends, hey looked what I earned! It adds value to items other than $$$. I understand that you guys are trying to fund development past release etc... I just wish there was some other way. Completely ruins the point for not only this game but gaming in general.
  23. 1 point
Exactly. Couldn't agree more on this. What about the vehicles ? I don't see them being cosmetic. Only thing that me personally would see as cosmetic would be skins. If the apartment gives more than what a "cosmetic" does it shouldn't be counted as one. Might not be big deal for you guys, but it will be for some of the players when they see in the shop that you can buy "apartments and vehicles" with real money. Believe me i want this game to succeed as much or i wouldn't be here posting this, have been following this project since day one. Recently just figured out about the micro-transactions and it really bummed me out specially because you can buy vehicles and apartments with real money. Like @GoldenPancake said above me, micro-transactions in this kind of game will definitely break the point of the game where the main focus is "lifestyle".

If I am walking down the street with 250 bucks on me and a pistol which costs 200 dollars to buy and I get killed.....The person who killed me will be able to take my cash and my gun. That's 450 bucks that I am ass out of, working a job making 20 bucks an hour that is 22 1/2 hours of work that I have to do just to regain what I lost. 45 minutes in jail? So gun play being a "major part" of the game as is doing the menial tasks it takes to keep the game running by the average player. I hope the time one receives for their crime, such as murder, will make it difficult for said player to continue very long just being an all out prick to those who choose to play the game straight up and earn a living.
  25. 1 point
Correct me if I am wrong but I thought I remembered the devs saying there will be no microtransactions in the game except for cosmetic purposes only which give no advantages to the player other than for decor. The apartments and vehicles are just a pre-order bonus so to speak which encourages people to donate to the game and help fund the development process. When the game is released you won't be able to buy anything in the game with real currency such as housing, clothes, transportation, etc.
  26. 1 point
Clothes are fine and they can stay, but still won't agree upon having vehicles and apartments as micro-transactions even if they are earn-able in-game. Since you mention the houses ,and apartments not being a big deal and easy to get while houses are not. I guess that's fine to some extent. But the vehicle part still can't be justified the player should look forward to getting his first car by earning it in-game and not buying it with real money.
  27. 1 point
Anything beyond 45 minuets is really out of the question. Gunplay is a major part of the game, not something that we want to keep players from doing. Jail is not meant to keep trolling at bay solely. It’s to make players actually think for their actions and take precautions rather than thinking they can just kill a player and get away scot-free.

Boi, it's time I come in with my saviors. Taking advantage through the chaos, Negan began thinking. He pondered on the thought of the power he could have....and that he will have in his own mind. Negan would begin recruiting people one by one. Slowly getting up to two hundred. When that day came. He named them the Saviors. to rush in the new world order. (Sounds familiar Right!? Yeah I know, it's so cool) He would have a habit of having his thugs break into people's homes during the day to hold them captive at night, either for them to join him or if there was a refusal it would change their life forever. Time passed and he had about 300 men total. He then decided to use the "divide and conquer' idea. He would have stationed his men to take control of vital points around the area. One of which was the cabin, which sparked his interest, so he decided to go with his thugs for this journey. The truck soon stopped and the Saviors got out. Negan would walk to the bed and grab one thing out. A Wooden bat wired with barbwire. The saviors walked up to the door to find out it was locked...so obviously they knocked. (what did you think was going to happen? We're not savages.)

Yet again we have been lied to. They said the trailer will be out before the end of the year, then they said its gonna be the first thing out next year. 2 weeks into 2018 still nothing. More and more soons, how many soons is the community gonna have to hear. Just be transparent with the community, if you think the answer is something we don't want to hear don't lie just tell the truth. I understand development takes time I am not blaming the developers for that but I am sick and tired of being dragged on by this game I have been waiting for literally years on these empty promises.
  34. 1 point
The citizen pass only grants backers the full game after release. You must purchase the founders pack to be able to access all early builds of the game.
  35. 1 point
I'm getting that "Fuck this." Sensation.. I'm only gonna live for so many years... And Now the release has been extended to early to mid 2018? After all of this time they don't have a enough content to release something? These Early access and in development pre-order games just feel like shakedowns, scams. Take pledges yet never release anything.. It could go on forever... Just make enough content for a trailer here and there... Some screen shots, models and textures here and there but never actually complete anything... By the time this is released I may completely forget about it.. Let's face it, right now video games are circling the drain again therefore if someone doesn't do something huge to enhance gaming then mainstream gaming will go down.
  36. 1 point
I feel the same way, they also keep delaying the video that was supposed to be out 5 dev blogs ago when they said "its pretty much done just finishing up a few animations" I wouldnt be as dissapointed if they showed us gameplay but they havent even done that..

I come back every few months and just think "wtf" when the town square module hasn't even been released yet or moved maybe a few percent...
  38. 1 point
The full release was set to be 2017 Q4 I just feel cheated with all of these "soon soon"s and release dates that are not going to be kept. I do think the module will be ready by March but the whole game was supposed to be released right about now. I do love the game but I hate being dragged along with fake promises.
  39. 1 point
The fact that the module was expected for Q1 2016, I am upset. But again, I am not involved in game development. Glad it has been confirmed, but that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. I am grateful for it though.

The micro transactions right now are meant to be purely cosmetic and only a select few apartments, they aren't meant to give you any advantage, apartments are mainly for storage and customizing the interior, so we feel it's not really a big deal. We dislike micro transactions just like the rest of you.
