2 points*Frank walks in the backroom of the club, Antonio and Paulie behind him. He hangs up his leather jacket, and pours himself a dram of whisky. Frank: "Hey boys, what going on? By the way did you hear that a new high rise condo was just proposed for Schuyler heights? That's close to our turf and that means they should build the condos with our concrete, if they don't want that building to fall. Hehe, you know what I mean?"

2 pointsLiberal/Libertarian? How could you be both? They are not even remotely similar.

2 pointsWill do man! Look forward to seeing you in game pal. Thank you, it was really just something that came to mind, as The Warriors is one of my all-time favorite films.

2 points*After sitting for a few minutes and collecting his thoughts, Kevin grabs his gun off of the table and heads out to his Velociraptor. He climbs into the truck, and places the handgun in its spot in the center console. Kevin drives through the business sector, stopping at his other shop just on the outskirts. He unlocks the door and heads inside, where he sets to work on the 1968 Mustang GT still sitting on the lift. As he works he starts muttering to himself* "Great going genius, it's bad enough having the mob higher ups expecting you to work on their expensive cars, but now you have started getting involved with the fucking Yakuza" *Kevin hears the chime of the door opening out front, so he heads out to see who it is, grabbing a large wrench off the table* "Hey who's there, we're closed today"

2 pointsIt'd be cool if you could indulge in dif. activities in jail instead of having to sit there doing nothing the entire time (like how Arma life jails are ). If you could establish a fighting career in jail (through an underground illegal fight club like Mafia 2/Luke Cage had), have a better cell if you had a powerful position prior to being jailed, work out in the recreational yard, have corrupt correctional officers (through RP), have the ability to pay bail, shank rival gang members in the cafeteria, etc. then that'd be amazing. You should also be able to make money (maybe through fighting, trade) or even establish a reputation for your character to set yourself up for when you are released (if you wanted to join a gang, form a group, get jail connections, etc.) You should also be allowed to leave whenever you want (of course after serving your min. jail term depending on the crime). When you are ready to leave and you've served the min. amount of time, you could request to "modify your sentence" and ask the judge to be released early (just to follow RP), ultimately allowing your release. Anyways, just an idea, if you'd like to build off/take some pieces from it go right ahead. Maybe busting yourself out and living as a fugitive could be an option? (with the help of friends. etc.) Overall the game looks great! Keep up the good work dev team, can't wait to play it.
-
2 pointsAfter you server your sentence you can choose to stay longer!!!! (confirmed by a developer) Ok, so there will be a lot of different activities in the jail you can do and its already been stated by the developers "it is like a whole new game in prison"

1 pointHello everyone! Some of you might remember that I had a thread on the old forum with an Imgur album containing all pictures posted by the developers on Twitter and Facebook. I just wanted to let you all know, both those who might have seen it but had forgot about it, aswell as new people who found it just now that it still exists and is updated as soon as a new picture is released. You can access it here, feel free to use it (or not use it) however you like. Take care!

With a dedicated team of staff, we will lead you and all of your friends into the future that you want! What we offer We offer a fair society, everyone gets a fair trail and a free decent lawyer to go with it! Our team of dedicated lawyers will lead you through the tough times and will try as hard as they can to ensure your bail. We want to increase the amount of Police to ensure your safety on the walkways and in cars. We will keep taxes to a minimum to keep our economy thriving and so all of you people out there pay an equal percentage! ( This of course will need to be checked with other things first to ensure this, such as if we wanted to add free healthcare and education as well as free transport for the working class then taxes would most likely rise by a large %!) We wont be stuck in our offices all day, we will be out there talking with you to see what YOU think, and how we could improve things! Our website : www.lpuparty.wixsite.com/homepage We are open to discussions and are looking for new members to push our ideas forwards! We will see YOU on the other side! 1 pointOk first of all hellot i just discovered the comunity and the game but i have a pretty important question for wich maybe you guys know the answer but i don't you see i've been waiting for this game for years.. it is all i want but i have tried in many other games to roleplay but you always get trolled, there is always some people that just want to annoy other people because they feel about doing that there are many exapmples like police who don't roleplay well (too much abuse etc) or just a new player that gets a gun and kills people for fun... etc my point is that i like to roleplay but sometimes troll dont let us do it so is there some kind of punishment o something for people who arent doing things well and just making other players life harder? idk if i explained myself well enough but i just a vague question i had
-
1 pointI personally would have 1 week max jail time as it brings more role play and will cause people to think about their actions.

1 pointLiam M. Johnson Liam M. Johnson, born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Previous member of the US Army, now got roots deep in the crime world. At age 6, Liam's dad was shot in downtown Chicago due to his racist beliefs, which he fortunately never got to pass on to Liam. Liam grew up with his lone mother on welfare, in a terrible neighbourhood of downtown Chicago. At age 17, Liam joined the Army. He didn't have a lot of reason to live at home, nor money to live for. After having been in the army for 10 years, Liam returns home to Chicago. He's earned his fair share of money, but saw no reason to stay. He was tired of the endless amount of training, tired of seeing his friends drop out, or die at worst. Liam was tired of it all. He tried getting in contact with his mother again, which he unfortunately lost contact to after he joined the army, but with no luck. He was all on his own. He jumped from minimum-wage job to minimum-wage job, he was once again, tired. After spending nights at the local bar, drinking away his money in cheap booze, he saw something special. Outside the pub, 2 men quickly drove up to a bystander on the street, stopped for a quick second, handed something in a small bag in exchange for money. In a matter of seconds they were gone again, and Liam was left to wonder. He had overlooked a drug deal. And he was interested. After Liams time in the army, he had a good knowledge of the drug community, due to some fellow people in the army knowing some people from the drug community. Liam saw it as an opportunity to try something new. To get something out of his life. A few weeks pass and Liam is involved in crime. However, Liam didn't get in to sell or manufactor drugs, he also didn't get in to control the drug market. Liam joined because he knew what his abilities were. Liam was a cold hearted killer, and great with a gun. However, he wasn't stupid. He wasn't interested in becoming one of their "Tough guys" that is just used to protect their turf. Liam was going to work at the top. He was going to do the work, that required brain, he was going to work with the boss. Time flies by, and Liam is the person you call if you need something done. Need to know where someone lives, need to know what is being said about you, or do you need someone killed, with no evidence to trace at all? Then Liam was your guy. Liam did the dirty work for the boss, without him nor the boss getting caught, ever. Liam didn't care about the other cartels, he was loyal. But he came at a price. Fail to meet that price, and he wouldn't think twice about putting a bullet trough your head. For that reason, Liam is now looking for a new job. However, he's not willing to work at street level, as some nutjob "Tough Guy" Liam's more than that. And if you need someone like Liam, who's willing to do jobs that are insane, boring, inhumane or anything like it, and you're willing to pay the price, you're will never need another again.

1 pointWill there be a food and thirst game mechanic in the game? I think that would help improve the roleplay and encourage players to go buy food from markets, restaurants, food trucks, or wherever to quench their needs.

1 point**Marcis dressed in white hoodie, black jeans and white sneakers which appears to be a little bit dirty. As he walks down the street he stumbls upon a brick as he starts to fall, he manages to get his balance back and keeps on walking. He enter a 24/7 and goes toward drink section as he grabs bottle of beer (Corona) and looks around. *No-one would be watching* He slips bottle under his hoodie looks around once more. He turns around and heads toward another section as he sees cheap chips, he takes them and heads towards chasier. Passes to her as he carefully inserts his right arm in his pocket while with left arm he tries to hold the bottle so it doesn't fall out.* Chasier:"Hello sir! It will be 1 dollar for chips" **Marcis grabs dolar from his packet as he passes to chasier and quickly grabs pack of chips and heads towards exit. As soon as he gets out from shot he looks around and heads toward alley-way near the shop. He then takes the bottle out from his hoodie and opens it with his ligther as he starts to drink it.**

1 pointTheir will most likely be a program in the game that calculated whoever kills another character. If the killing was done for no reason, or you fail to provide why you have killed the man or women out of character, you will be banned for RDM.

1 pointHello Joelkeys my good sir, I have recently posted a new "Union" so to speak for men and woman of only the utmost honor. You sir seem to be of the fitting category. The Platinum Club as we have come to calling it a prestigious formation of high class people on which the very foundation is built upon us, the rich, the famous, the leaders, and the powerful. Our goal is simple; to control and manipulate the production and distribution of high end goods and resources throughout the island of Identity, and of course to retain a healthy profit from doing so, as well as to increase our wealth and status or at least maintain it throughout the game world.. We are currently accepting CEO's of affluent businesses such as the one you own yourself, Celebrities, and of course political figures to hold sway over the commoners of Identity. You sir would make a stunning edition to the Platinum Club, and we would love to have you aboard. Please reply on this post or PM me if you would prefer if you would like any further details, or if you are interested in joining the club. More information can also be found on my post found in the business section of the forums. Cheers, Bob Ross, CEO of Bob Ross: Promoter of Fine Art, and Founder of The Platinum Club

1 pointIt's funny because I had this EXACT same idea a few months ago, didn't find anything until the other day
-
1 pointThey said no to this because they want it to be clear whos who. I still think there should be undercover cops
-
1 pointUltimately, that is the case, we'll need to wait until the game is released. That sounds like a good idea, working together to form a party to cater to a wide range of individuals. I definitely look forward to the future of the development of this community, and seeing where the political aspect of the game takes us. It would be a pleasure to go into more detail with you.

1 pointI think it would be really cool if you could become a Bagel Shop owner and hire people to make and sell bagels for you in the Bagel shop.
-
1 pointIt may not be a survival game but it is supposed to be realistic. that being said a system like that would give a great level of importance to take care of your character. a hygiene bar would be cool too!

1 pointI could not bother to read all the comments and my apologies for that. I just want to know how you will pay the government officials, how you will get elected by the 1% and how you will get voted on by government officials considering the taxes are what pays them. Capitalism is what the world runs on and it is beautiful. This is not capitalism. This is a liberalistic -socialistic party in my sight. Please explain a bit more how you will drive the jobs of taxers, bankers, and other jobs connected.

1 pointToday we publish the first Identity Insider update, bringing you detailed information about key systems in Identity. Our website has expanded with a small page detailing corporations and their classes, also available below: Corporations in Identity You've made a lot of cash working odd jobs, or maybe even the odd less-than-legal task; now that you've had a taste of success, it's time to forge an empire. Corporations will allow the successful with a little extra cash to become driving forces in Identity's dynamic economy. Corporations are organizations similar to, but separate from, gangs and other social structures. They have the added ability of owning assets and issuing work orders to their real-player employees. Some assets, such as the largest cargo trucks, are available only to corporations. Once formed, the corporation is assigned a telephone number for public contact and the director (owner) can build a logo using an in-game design tool. It's then time to hire a staff and get to work. Classes of Corporations Delivery Delivery corporations can buy large vehicles for big hauls, vehicles not available to the general public. While any player can deliver goods in vehicles such as vans, to get the big-bucks you'll need to join a corporation. Legal Let's face it, crimes happen and criminals are going to be arrested. They'll need someone on the outside to convince the jury that they did nothing wrong. This is where legal corporations come into play, and their services aren't always cheap. Transportation People need to get from point A to point B and they don't always have the means to do that themselves. Transportation corporations own special vehicle assets including taxis and more, helping those in need get where they need to be. Manufacturing From the shoes on your feet to the sofa under your seat, almost everything in Identity is built and crafted by other players. Manufacturing corporations give their employees access to a wider variety of constructables and resources, for a cut of the profits. Always Expanding As with most things in Identity, we at Asylum will constantly be expanding this system adding new classes of corporations and building on those already available. Identity's release is only the beginning. If you have any ideas for a well-suited corporation class, let us know on the forums.

1 pointHello citizens! It's been too long since our last developer blog entry, so I wanted to take the time today to update all of our backers on Identity's current state of development, as well as give a little more insight into the process behind the scenes. During the first year and a bit of development, most of the time was spent developing key backend systems. Networking modifications, weapon physics, character customization, voice communication and so on. That's all behind us now, and I'm happy to say it's gone as well as we could have hoped. Now and for the past couple of months we've moved on to gameplay development, making those backend features do the fun stuff. This Month in Development In this last month our lead character artist, Miroslav, has finished up everything we need for your characters going into the Town Square release. We're always going to be adding more character customizations over time, but to start you'll have the choice between 4 male and 5 female race options. After selecting your base race you can customize further with skin tones, blemishes, scars, eye color, hair styles, hair colors and tweaks to facial features. Identity is expanding on the usual character customization, though, as some of the options available can only be gotten through achievements. Prison tattoos are an example; if you see someone with such a tattoo you know they've done something to earn it. A lot of work this month has also gone into the player housing systems. In following our previous messages, our home customization system has been in place for some months although we've been expanding the floorplans in preperation for the Town Square module release. Sean, or Motown as you may know him, has prepared the various apartments you will have in the Town Square. If you have made a smaller pledge to Identity and do not have an apartment yet, we're going to be giving you access to a temporary (small) home in the Town Square so that you can play with the cusomization features. If you've pledged for a package containing an apartment, Town Square will show what you'll have in the full Identity game upon release. Just this morning our lead programmer, Henrik (AKA Mathalion), finished up the karaoke systems. It's a minor feature for Identity as a whole, but it's going to be loads of fun in the Town Square module! Just off the lobby of the hotel is a slick little bar, complete with a karaoke stage. You'll be able to queue up your favorite songs on the karaoke machine and see the lyrics on one of the monitors around the stage. The microphone on the stage really works, too, amplifying your voice out of the speakers so that your singing can be heard by everyone there! Most of us are terrible singers, so karaoke is going to have a lot of hilarious moments. If you're just there to watch, the restaurant by the stage is fully functional, too! It's Been Too Long I'll just come right out and say it: we at Asylum Entertainment have really had poor PR these last months, and you guys deserve better. You deserve much more frequent updates, and we're committing to give you that moving forward. We're a relatively small development team today. Currently a core staff of 5 incredibly talented full-time developers, I'm amazed every day with what this team can accomplish. Outside of our core we have a handful of part-time workers, mostly artists, who are also very skilled. Because we're a small team, many of us have to wear several hats. For example, Sean is our community manager but also a 3D artist. I myself am the project manager, a programmer and interface developer. This leads to few resources to dedicate towards PR as there's so much work to be done on the game itself. This is something we knew though, and we're going to set some time aside regularly to keep you in the loop. The Town Square module is coming soon. We're in the final months of 2016 now, and you'll finally be inside the first piece of the Identity world in the first quarter of 2017. It's a little later than we originally hoped since we're dedicated to making sure everything is smooth and stable from the first moments. Identity is an enormous undertaking, but the most difficult bits are behind us and we're drawing near! What to Expect The first stage of game development is always very boring to talk about, and also doesn't give us much to show you. Creating those backend systems that drive the game behind the scenes is one of the most important phases, but it's not very glamorous. It's for this reason that most games aren't announced until they're a couple years into development. Now that we're past that point, we're going to be able to start showing you real Identity gameplay. The first gameplay video you'll see is going to be in November and will show you just how detailed and in-depth Identity is becomming! You'll see a walkthrough of our housing system, showing just how far it can be customized and some of the cool fun features you'll find in there. Following that video we'll give you a glimpse of the Town Square features, leading up to its release. It's been a ton of work and a long time coming, but we're moving forward at a great pace and everything is about to get very exciting over here.

1 pointHello citizens! I'm Motown, and I'm Identity's Community Manager, the person in charge of delivering all of your important ideas and messages to Identity's development team! What's special about my role here is that I'm not just your eyes and ears, I'm also one-half of the founding team for Identity! John Vanderzwet and I set out together to make Identity a reality, and have been involved in every aspect of Identity's development since the very start. That means, through me (and our volunteer moderator staff), you have direct access to the very top of our family tree, and we can influence the design and development of Identity together! You won't get that sort of treatment from many industry CM's! So, If you have ideas that you feel will expand and define Identity for years to come, let me know, and I will make sure it hits the right ears. What a relief it has been to know that so many people have been waiting for a game like Identity for so long. I couldn't be happier to have the opportunity to be the liaison that will connect you with the world of Identity and the wonderful people who make it what it is! We strongly feel that we have a winning formula, and the deepest conviction that we may revolutionize the MMORPG genre with your support! We're going to do a lot of great things together, so it's only fair that you know a little bit about me first! My name is Sean, I'm 27 years old. My best friend is my boss and co-worker, John Vanderzet. I grew up all over the United States where I've developed the hyperactive, happy, and unbiased personality you will come to know me for! I call Ontario, Canada my temporary home while I work on Identity as your Community Manager, interim Art Director and 3D prop artist. I went to college for Video Game Design & Production, but my true passion is interacting with people! I've been a forum moderator for many large and well-known online gaming communities, including a default subreddit of 8 million subscribers on Reddit.com, a volunteer guide of the Followers of Asura in "Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures", an event organizer in "Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa" (Big RG fan btw!), the only English forum moderator of a German FPS called "Parabellum" (Google Translate ftw!), and forum moderator for "Planetside 1", "GamersFirst", "Mortal Online", and a few others I can't even remember, for varying lengths of time! Yep, I get around! But now it's time I get to know a little bit about you too. Create a new topic in this forum, and introduce yourself! We want to know exactly what personalities come out of the the deep, dark, depths of the internet to share our passion for Identity! But be nice!
