    Even with a stock market API it would take a whole bunch of work translating that to Identity's economy. And that per server, seeing there should be variations on the number of players on the server, combined with the influence of the "real" stock market. I like the idea, don't get me wrong, but I highly doubt this will ever be an option, even in future updates. Besides, if I'm not mistaken there won't be a stock market exchange in Identity at all.

    This. I cannot agree more. I'm hyped to get a glimpse of the town square, and maybe some things we can do there without showing too much. I'd hate to see them waste time on "future" mechanics we wouldn't get to try right away with the first release. Anyway: psyched!

  12. What guns do you want to see?

    Top: L96 type bolt action rifle (overkill for hunting in-game, but still, love this one) Mid: GFG 26 type pump action shotgun Bottom: FN SCAR-L (CQC mod) These are my primary replicas for airsoft purposes, and they never fail me. I could go on listing my collection of semi-auto and full-auto pistols, but we'll have a fair share of pistols already I think.

    There should (and I hope there will be) a timer on these sort of switch-overs. Having to wait, a day for example, before starting any kind of career in law enforcement, fire brigade or EMT after having been a criminal.
  14. You make nice arguments and all, but I highly doubt you'll change the devs minds on this matter. I think to remember their wishes against the ability to spawn items and currency.

    No, SWAT will only be instanced events. The SWAT truck is NOT drive-able, an NPC will control the SWAT members drive towards the scene (bank robbery, armory heist, etc.) SWAT and tactical gear will only be used in those instances.

  22. Better to be arrested then killed?

    The stress system will prevent easy suicides I believe. Logging off works with a timer. If you're in "combat", or being chases, flagged by the system or whatever you can think of, you won't be able to log out. Your character will remain in game for a set period of time. How long we, as members, don't know yet. This is a fair system, it'll prevent combatlogging and the likes. No more evading arrest by logging off, no more RDM and logging off. And jail time only runs down while in game, as it should be.
  23. How many players can be in the same area?

    I knew the numbers weren't fixed yet, but are they now? 300 to 500 seems fair, but I thought they were going to have to try what works best. That, technically, the server software should be able to handle 1000's even, but that for gameplay purposes this might be too much. So my add-on question: Do the devs have a fixed number yet?

  25. Lets be Real About the Release Date

    I do wonder how they'll manage to get a TS video / trailer out in time. Same with the renewed website. Both were going to be released prior or together with TS on March the 21st. So if it's prior to the TS release, they'd have less than 3 weeks for the vid + site. I doubt that'll happen. But I do not doubt the TS module release date. It's officially set. They cannot afford to deviate from that now.
