My observation of this is that a lot of people happen to have eerily similar ideas about what Identity is, despite our initially vague explanation of the game. In many of these cases where we appear to agree with people and accept their suggestions, it's because their ideas are things we've already thought of and in many cases, have already implemented or written into Identity's game design document. We want our community to feel that Identity is their game too. We all funded this, together. It's yours as much as it is ours, and if that means eating our own pride to give you credit for an idea that is very similar to our own, it's important to us that you to feel that you've contributed to the project! There have been several ideas from the community that we have been very open minded towards, and want to make sure we include them as long as they compliment existing features and fit neatly into place. But please don't dismiss us as 'yes-men' trying to appeal to everyone at once! We've rejected more than we've accepted! Some ideas sound awesome in theory, but don't work out in practice. Probably the best example of this is the idea of working as an employee of a store owned by other players. That really does sound immersive, but the reality is, there isn't enough work we can give a player to do to keep them entertained in that position. You can only stand around waiting for customers for so long before you want to do something else! Most importantly, knowing that so many people seem to have the same ideas about what they expect to see in Identity, only strengthens our belief that we're on the right track! Now is the right time for a game like Identity!

The trains cannot be controlled only because a lot of player may rely on their schedule and giving control of that to players would cause all kinds of problems if a griefer got behind the... stick? The trains are not instant travel, but they're fast. They are actual trains driving through the land on a set schedule.

What about just calling it a Zwet then? "That'll be 10 Zwet please." Kind regards, DJScias

I don't think a governor should be able to go from raising taxes on healthcare to making it free, i think the devs will implement one or the other, and if there were taxes, the governor should just be able to edit how much.

I'll stick to the official servers because it will be more fair, and more regulated for rule breaking. Private servers might have people who are friends of the owners getting free money and houses and stuff.

It will be approx 250x250 km squared. About as big as altis life, or arma 3 life. VERY BIG. Also, hitmen will exist, it will be highly illegal to hire one, but you will be able to do it, just make sure it's not an undercover cop

The modules will be the first look into the game, allowing you to make your character, and walk around town square, and do many things, and this will be relatively soon, and there are currently 3 modules set to be released. Can't Wait!

You can move around. There are even some minor things to do on the train while you wait.

That would be cool, having to get skills from say school or something to know how to craft those types of items.

Dealing weapons would be a very profitable business id you know how to do it efficiently. This will be one of many things my crime family will take part in.
  12. 2 points
I think you will have to get schooling some way before being able to run for governor or else there would be hundreds of people trying to run.

Identity will have official servers in each continent.

Mining sounds interesting, like a big tunnel you go into with a truck, and mine ores and stuff.

It's nice to be here on this beautiful website. The people are great, and the forums are blooming. I'm Kevin Langston, the don of the Langston Family, or Dark Ace Mafia. I plan to run the crime in identity, make friends, allies, and enemies, just like everyone else. Can't wait to meet you all there.

When you die in identity will it be a perma death so you lose everything and your character is removed from the server and you have to create another one or do you just respawn in a hospital and loose what ever you had on you?

Hello Air! Glad to see you and your business back.

Yeah I was thinking of that possibly being a business. They did mention something about having to get weapon parts from different places and assembling them or something. I guess someone can do that and sell guns.

Beta should be here late 2016 or early 2017. As far as modules, take a look here. Motown said they hope to have the first module here by Q1 2016.

It says: If I become a police officer, can I only play as a cop? No, by default you are always a civilian and you need to activate your career mode. For police this means visiting a police station and suiting up at your locker. You will then be in your career mode until you return to civilian status the same way.

would be cool to see you actually having to catch a scedualed train instead of going to a train station and "fast traveling" there. you actually have to sit on the train and wait til your stop. that'd be awesome

Wilkommen, Robzen! We hope you enjoy the new forums

Perhaps - but I reckon even this server isn't going to receiving enough likes to justify a system like that. Especially if it can handle the amount of images that it already does.

Sup bud. (See what I did there?) Welcome heh. You'll find the community here is great. Really tight knit. I've never really played Altis life myself. But hey, welcome aboard to the Identity hype train xD. Next stop, Social Module.

LOL! Thank you everyone! I love these gifs! That one with the girl gamer is slightly true.. hahaha!

I played the beta but decided not to get it because i might get bored and put the game down and be out 80 bucks.

I think it will be like real life, if it is a he said she said, they cant do anything, if there are witnesses, then they can arrest you, if cops believe you are supplying drugs to dealers, then they can gather evidence and get a warrant to arrest you and search your cars, property, etc.

If that boat was in the game, no one would be on land LOL

it is not limited to moderators, on the official servers anyone can run, i think, or maybe you have to go to school first of something, and other players vote.

Hello there. It has come to our attention that there has been some confusion in regards to claiming Kickstarter pledges and which pledge you actually will receive due to different Shop pledge amounts. All Kickstarter backers will receive the original Kickstarter pledge rewards, regardless of the pledged amount that shows up in the My Account page. Meaning that if you (in example) pledged for the $30 Kickstarter pledge you will receive the $50 Shop pledge, as this is the shop equivalent of the Kickstarter pledge. I hope this clears up some confusion and if there are any more questions feel free to contact one of the Staff members through the use of private messages. Kind regards, DJScias, on behalf of the Identity Staff Team

For those still wondering, you click on your name at the top right corner, click account settings, and then the fourth tab is where you can set up your signature

This is a great idea, because it will add to realism, and players will know, "gee, maybe i should not leave my car on the sidewalk". This would be very cool, and also if its illegally parked for only like 1 hour and not in the middle of the road, instead of being towed, they got a ticket on the window.

What can rep be used for?
  45. 1 point
The devs have said that the only things illegal you can do in your home, is grow a small portion of drugs, not enough to sell, but for personal use. They made it this way because police cannot go into players houses and raid them, so it would be unfair if you could have your whole operation in your house where the police can't go.

Any maybe they could all be based on the different pledger statuses (e.g. VIP, Cabbie)? Very nice idea though I might just use that!

Will you be able to smuggle items into the prison with you e.g a cell phone so you can control your criminal empire whilst in jail and serving hard time.
  49. 1 point
They should be able to shield the VIP and use their other arm as sort of a way to push people out of the way while yelling, "PROTECT THE PRESIDENT MOVE MOVE MOVE!" Kappa
