Ok. So If most of you wonderful community members remember me that is good. But for the rest of you who don't let me introduce myself again. I am TPlays. I have been backing this game for a long time. I mean a long time. Now the thing about that means I have seen the ups and a lot of downs. But I have always been on the dev teams side. But today I bring my first formal complaint. Why on God's Earth have we been at one task remaining for more than 2 months. I mean come on. I have done nothing but fight for this game and fight for people to know that I love and support this gAme. But devs you are making me look like an idiot. But none the less. I am still going to support that the devs deliver the game we were all promised a long time ago.

I get that we needed something new but to me it feel more like a futuristic website game layout, I like that you can buy individual things now compared to the packages but I just dont like the feel, everything feels way to big under moduals and cramed together. am I the only one feeling this?

There are 3+ he says now not 3 but more than 3. Remember they are trying to find programmers in the areas near them, so that they can go in Office but it is hard to find devs in the local area.

As a real life EMT, I would definitely be interested in seeing a medical system that is simple yet revolves around role play. Things like blood pressure, heart rate, bleeding control, saleen, etc. Here's how I would imagine the medical system to be programmed: Each civilian normally has 5 liters, or 5000mL of blood volume. A single gun shot would cause blood loss ( 2mL per second on the limb, and 4mL per second on the chest or abdomen) Stab wounds are also a possibility. Multiple gun shot wounds or stab wounds would multiply the bleeding affect. Normal blood pressure = 120/80, normal heart rate = 75. Each 1/2 liter (500mL) of blood loss causes a 10 point loss in blood pressure. Each time the blood pressure drops 10 points, the heart rate increases 10 points. (I can explain why if you want). ***Any blood pressure under 80/40 will cause the patient to pass out, any blood pressure under 50/10 will cause the patient to "die", but can still be resuscitated with CPR. A player will be able to function normally with wounds for an amount of time until his low blood pressure causes the player to pass out. This will allow the player to continue the gun fight with wounds, or give the player enough time to apply first aid to himself or a teammate. However, if a player passes out, he will need a medic to administer fluids for him to wake back up. At that point the player can either refuse further treatment, or elect to go to the hospital/be treated in the ambulance until the blood pressure is stabilized. The incentive for transport to the hospital being that a medic can give fluids to a patient up to 140/ 100 for an extra buffer of health!!! This will encourage role play. Okay so here's an example: one gun shot wound to the chest = 4mL of blood loss per second. 1 minute = 240mL of blood loss, therefore a person loses 1000mL or 1 liter of blood in approx. 4 mins per gunshot wound to the chest or abd. That means it would take 16 mins to die from one gunshot wound, and 10 mins for a player to pass out from a gun shot wound to the chest or abdomen. Double that time for gun shots to a limb. Now, of course more gun shot wounds would cause a multiplication of blood loss, so be careful out there! Maybe armor would deflect 5 bullets before losing its effectiveness??? There are 7 "compartments" on the human body. 1) The chest 2) The head 3) The abdomen 4) the Right arm 5) the left arm 6) the R leg 7) and the L leg. Head injuries: Laceration, fracture, gun shot wound...maybe a helmet deflects one or two bullets before losing its effectiveness??? Chest injuries: Laceration, broken rib, gun shot wound...maybe a Kevlar vest deflects one or two bullets before losing its effectiveness??? Abdomen injuries: Gun shot wound, laceration. Limb injuries: Gun shot wound, laceration, open fracture (bleeding), closed fracture (non-bleeding) Blood volume, blood pressure, and heart rate chart: Volume: 6000mL, BP: 140/100, HR: 55------- Volume: 5500mL, BP: 130/90, HR: 65------ Volume: 5000mL, BP: 120/80, HR: 75----- Volume: 4500mL, BP: 110/70, HR: 85----- Volume: 3500mL, BP: 100/60, HR: 95----- Volume: 3000mL, BP: 90/50, HR: 105------ Volume: 2500mL, BP: 80/40, HR: 115 (Pass out)----- Volume: 2000mL, BP: 70/30, HR: 125----- Volume: 1500mL, BP: 60/20, HR: 135----- Volume: 1000mL, BP: 50/10, HR 145 (DEATH)----- Volume: 500mL, BP: 40/10, HR: 0 (Can still be saved with CPR)----- Volume: 0mL, BP: 30/0, HR: 0 (NOT able to resuscitate and must respawn) CPR and Resuscitation: CPR can be administered by anyone, and will prevent the pressure from dropping if all wounds are bandaged successfully. However, it can only be administered if the player "dies", i.e. blood pressure at 50/10 or less. If the patient "dies", they can still receive defibrillation by a medic. However, defibrillation will only work if the blood pressure is 90/40. So...the medic will need to give saleen up to 90/60 in order for the defibrillation to work. This will also encourage teamwork between the two medic partners. A patient who has been successfully resuscitated via defibrillation MUST be transported to the hospital by the medics and MUST receive the health buffer of 140/100. Now let's apply this type of scenario to a whitelisted server... "New life rule" does not apply unless you actually re-spawn. The time it takes to transport a patient who has received defibrillation is enough time to make his return to the fight reasonable. Since the medics are a neutral entity, they cannot be within a certain distance to an active gunfight, therefore the victim's teammate will have to be able to carry the victim away from the gunfight and toward the medics. A feature to load an unconscious player into a vehicle would significantly aid this process. Example: Officer down, teammate stops the bleeding, carries him to the patrol car, loads him into the patrol car, drives him 200m (or whatever) to the medics on stand-by, medics commence patient care. The officer can either wait for his comrade to be healed, or drive back to the gunfight. OR...depending on EMS AND POLICE policies, there might be tactical medics equipped with vests and helmets that are permitted to go into an active firefight and operate ONLY TO STABILIZE AND TRANSPORT THE VICTIM BACK TO THE NEARBY AMBULANCE VIA CARRY ANIMATION. After reviewing this system and looking at practical application, most of the time the bleeding can be stopped by applying bandages to yourself, therefore medics will rarely be needed unless a person suffers multiple gun shot wounds over time. With that said, personnel who are not trained in first aid, i.e. civilians....would have a lower probability of successfully applying a bandage compared to a police officer who would have a higher probability due to police training. (Medics having 100% success rate). These probabilities/percentages can be programmed into each type of player character. Bleeding control is very important, since bleeding is what drops your blood pressure. Trauma and Medical conditions: -Gun shot wound to the chest: 4mL of blood loss per second (requires "Occlusive dressing" or blood pressure will continue to drop) -Gun shot wound to the abdomen: 4mL of blood loss per second (requires "Trauma dressing") -Gun shot wound to the head: 8mL of blood loss per second (requires "Trauma dressing") -Laceration: 4mL of blood loss per second for lacerations to the head, chest or abdomen, and 2mL of blood loss for lacerations to any limb (from stabbing or blunt force trauma, i.e. non-bladed weapons or fists)...(blunt force trauma with probability of 1:10 to cause a laceration), stabbing = 100% probability of laceration. Requires "Medium gauze" -Fractured limb (from MVA a.k.a. motor vehicle accident higher than 35mph) OR (fall from higher than 20 feet)...could be an open fracture or closed fracture, open causes bleeding. Requires "Cardboard Splint" -Fractured spine (from MVA a.k.a. motor vehicle accident higher than 50mph) OR (fall from higher than 35 feet)....causes neurogenic shock, which instantly drops the blood pressure to 80/40 (passes out). Requires "C-collar and Spine Board" -Dehydration: Not drinking enough water will cause the blood pressure to slowly drop. Maybe 1mL per minute? Player will eventually pass out and need medical treatment. Requires "Saleen Bag" -Low blood sugar: Not eating will cause your blood sugar level to slowly drop, causing you to pass out. Maybe 0.5 points per minute? Normal blood sugar: 70-140mg% (pass out at <40mg%). Requires "Oral Glucose" (can be store bought) if they are conscious...or "Saleen Bag" followed by "Dextrose 50%" if they are unconscious. via medic only -Smoke inhalation: A result of not cooking meth properly, causes the player to have decreased run speed and inability to eat or drink. Also causes decrease in shooting accuracy. Requires "Oxygen Mask" by a medic. Resolved after 5 mins of O2 therapy. -Drug overdose: Causes the player to pass out, slowly lowering the heart rate. A heart rate less than 40 causes death. Requires "Mucosal Atomization Device" by medic. -Emphysema: A result of chronic smoking. A condition that causes decreased stamina or slower run speed. Requires "Oxygen Mask" by medic. Resolved after 2.5 mins of O2 therapy EMS equipment: -An ambulance and gurney where you can take the gurney out of the ambulance first(animated), roll the gurney to the patient with the crew member holding it (animation), then load the patient on the gurney, then roll the gurney back to the ambulance with the patient on the gurney, and finally load the patient into the ambulance (animation). After all, this is a role playing game. I believe a good medical system would really add appeal and value to the game. I would love to see something like this in the game and be part of the training/leadership team for EMS as I have real world experience. Mahalo from Hawaii and EMS Honolulu!

Hey there! Yes, there are two hats. Kickstarter Backers will receive the Kickstarter Logo founder's hat, and website backers who purchased a package from the site will receive the Identity Logo Founder's hat. Neither logo will appear on any official item during gameplay, and are unique only to these two hats. It may only be represented as "Founders Hat" in your inventory, but we can easily distinguish between who will receive what within our database, despite it appearing as one item on the website.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of our system friend and you haven't read the full document. The majority's power in this system will be in check by the party's representative. So even if the majority votes on a policy that's terrible, if it is not within the constitutional bounds, it will be overturned by the Party Rep, thus it cannot be law. And the majority can't override the veto. You are also factually incorrect on your assumption that you could commit murder and get away with it in this system, yeah no. We have a department in our system that enforces the law and that department is led by yours truly. Secondly, no freedoms have been restricted under our system. You haven't read our entire constitution or its rights, or you would have known that. Every one of our people gets universal freedoms including these rights: 1. Freedom of Expression: Each and every citizen shall possess the Right to express their opinion to the public, excluding hate-speech that may provoke acts of violence within the nation. 2. Right to Food: Each and every citizen shall possess the Right to attain a three-course meal during the day. 3. Right to Water: Each and every citizen shall possess the Right to sanitary water. 4. Right to Shelter: Each and every citizen shall possess the Right to possess a dwelling place with a heating/cooling system, a bed, a fridge, a stove, and a roof over their heads. 5. Right to be Clothed: Each and every citizen shall possess the Right to possess clothing in order to survive the cold and/or warm environments. 6. Right to Energy: Each and every citizen shall possess the Right to possess energy within their dwelling place, including fuel for their vehicles. 7. Right to Healthcare: Each and every citizen shall possess the Right to a doctor, hospital bed, and medication. Did you even read the entire thing before you made these grandstanding statements? And one more thing, stop trolling. If this isn't your kind of system, find one that's suitable for you. I'm sure there are other political parties and systems of governments for you to choose from but for the love of god, stop trolling.

No, he said 3, + ceo occasionally programing So basically 3.5 programmer, and i don't really care where they looking for, if they can't find few programmers for years there is clearly something wrong, and seems like money are not the problem because they still splashing cash for 20 artist. Plain bullshit, u can't make any game with 3 programmers and we can clearly see where they are after 4 years, this game will never happen if they fuck all for so much time trying to find anybody to work
  12. 1 point
Not surprised at all, i said that before that last few tasks going to take longer than previous 50 because task tracker is just comfortable tool to manipulate release date. Also Sorry but 1 programmer for 3 years and 3 of them now + 20 artists isn't a way to develop any game
  13. 1 point
Sorry but you guys have got it quite wrong with how long there has been 1 task. I can tell you that the 1 task left has only been there as the last task for maximum 1 month (4 weeks) and not 2 months (8 weeks). I don't know where you got that info from but that is false and it is a miss calculation on whoever made the assumption on it being that long. The reason is that 4 weeks ago it was when I was on holiday and well I was away from the internet. The day I went on holiday, there were still 2 tasks left and that was during the weekend.

Salutations everyone, Our new website went live over the weekend! You’ll now see an updated FAQ section, revamped account system, an improved presentation, and more! We’ll continue to add more content to the site as time goes on, and you can expect to see the next Identity Insider very shortly! Last month’s Dev Blog mentioned we’ll be seeing one pertaining to “criminal activity and gameplay”, so stay tuned! Out of all the areas on our website, the shop page arguably received the biggest overhaul. It has an entirely new look, and you can now purchase items individually rather than in packages. Still, the packages that you saw on the old site remain available to purchase at the exact same prices they were before. You’ll also notice that some packages have even had items appended to their contents! (See: Up-Sized and The VIP) The original plan was to keep the packages found on the old website as they were for exactly one week after the new shop went live. We intended to take them down after seven days, leaving only the individual items remaining. However, since PayPal is currently the only payment option we offer, we will be extending the duration for how long these packages will remain available. It would be unfair to those who are ready to make a purchase but don’t have access to a PayPal account, so you can expect to see the packages stay up for a little while longer. Once we secure more payment options, we’ll be sure to let users know how long they have to purchase one of the older packages. Regarding tweaks to individual items, we’ll be changing around the “Custom Logo” item sometime this week. We weren’t very clear with what this item granted, so you’ll see “Custom T-Shirt Graphic” take its place. Those who purchased the “Custom Logo” item will be able to import a custom corporate logo in the full game. (Of course, if you aren’t satisfied with this change, feel free to contact me and I’ll get your account fixed up.) For reference, the “Custom T-Shirt Graphic” item will allow users to produce 10 T-Shirts with an imported image of their choosing. The “Custom Logo” item will allow your imported image to appear on items such as clothing, furniture, and even your corporation’s in-game website page. The “Custom T-Shirt Graphic” will display the image on the front of the T-Shirt, whereas the “Custom Logo” will appear in small designated areas on crafted items for branding purposes. If you happen to purchase the “Custom Logo” item before it gets replaced with the “Custom T-Shirt Graphic”, then lucky you! We may see it return someday, but for now, it’ll remain off the shop page once “Custom T-Shirt Graphic” takes its place. Once again, if you aren’t happy with this change, contact me and I’ll see what I can do for you! Another thing to mention is that our web developer has been hard at work fixing a few oddities that have popped up with the new site. If any of you suspect that something isn’t working quite as intended, feel free to message me and I’ll send your concerns to him! Lastly, you’ll see a new Dev Blog go up shortly after the next Identity Insider that will cover the new website as one of its discussion topics. You’ll likely get a more formal overview of the new website’s features there, so you should definitely check it out when it’s up! (For reference, Dev Blogs are found here.) That’s all for now! Feel free to keep us posted with any concerns you have regarding the new website’s design or its functionality. Have a great rest of your day, and I’ll see you around! August 14th Edit: The price of the Sphynx Cat has also been adjusted to better reflect the exotic nature of the animal. August 17th Edit: As of 3:45PM ET today, users who sent password recovery emails should receive a working key to log into their account. Changing passwords is still causing some problems for some users, so keep this key handy to get into your account. Gifting oddities are being addressed, and anyone who has had any items not reach their recipient should message me. Thanks to those who are providing feedback and screenshots of issues, I'll continue to convey such things to our web developer as its been helping tremendously!

You will be able to acquire all of these things in the game; however, they are cosmetically unique. Textures/skins and such will differentiate the paid object from the standard. Most of these assets can also be claimed on each server.

In my opinion, the design seems good. Though I agree that it looks overly-futuristic. The main issue, however, is the functionality of the site right now. These bugs should have been ironed out before it even went live. I'm not talking small typo bugs, but entire sections of the site just not working correctly. I sincerely hope these types of issues won't be found in the actual game.

Yes. You can make a living as a police officer in game. You have to sign up at the offices in town square. Not sure yet what the ranking system will be or what will be required to be promoted. I’d assume higher ranking roles would offer a bigger salary. There’s no passive income to prevent AFK play, so you’ll most likely have to clock in and clock out to get your pay check. Its going to be a very fun job and rewarding. I’m excited.

The finishing touches Greetings, and again thank you, to all of Identity's backers receiving this dev blog. Everyone's been hard at work putting together a game that can change the industry, and you're soon going to be getting your first taste. With the Town Square (Identity's first social gameplay module) nearing release, we're hard at work testing and putting the finishing touches on two of the major features. Everything's been progressing very well and I'm quite proud of the team. These last systems are the art/canvas mechanics and the player housing. Both of these have been functional for a long time, although a couple tweaks need made before we push Town Square out the door. A few minutes of decorating an Ash Hill penthouse We've added a new button in the elevators to allow you to visit a public version of any apartment. You can run around and see them in their default state before committing to buying them for yourself. This will be a very useful way to explore the available options, given that some of the floorplans will be very rare to come across with other players. Above is the penthouse after a few minutes of quick decoration. I'm not exactly a decorator, myself, but you can get a good idea of the way it looks now! It's a huge space with three large bedrooms (which means you and two friends can use it as your home) and tons of storage. We've had to refactor the backend of the housing system a good bit, but the end result you see is everything you saw in the prior Identity Insider apartment video. All features shown then will be ready for you soon in the Town Square! We have lots of other cool features coming for your house parties that you haven't seen yet, too. In case you hadn't seen that video, or you want to see it again, I've linked it below. Identity Insider: Housing - CLICK TO VIEW VIDEO Town Square gameplay live stream With my last developer blog post I included a link to gameplay video from our live stream showing character creation and the exterior environment in the Town Square module. Recently, I joined in on another development live stream to show about 20 minutes of more Town Square gameplay. This time I showed off interior environments as well as a few of the gameplay mechanics you're going to come across in the Town Square. YouTube Town Square preview live stream 2 - CLICK TO VIEW VIDEO The team and I are so very excited to show you guys what we've made in the Town Square and beyond. The Town Square isn't enormous on its own, but it's a very good way to give you an idea of how the world looks and feels. The task master The Task Tracker is a new tool on our website which displays up-to-date data pertaining to how much work is remaining for the Town Square release. If you've been following our progress through the tracker, you'll have seen that just a couple of days ago it progressed to its current point, with only two tasks remaining at the in-testing state (the ones I described above in this blog post). Keep your eye on the tracker to get the best idea of when we're ready to go. You will of course also get notified by email when the Town Square is published on Steam! The future of the Dev Blog This may be one of the last couple developer blogs being sent out in this format as we're planning on soon transitioning to more frequent developer video blogs! In the past, it's always been myself who wrote these blog posts. They've been a great way to reach out and letting everyone who doesn't follow us on social media know what we've been up to. That said, I think I speak for most people when I say video is more interesting and entertaining! Look forward to meeting the team face-to-face in short but frequent videos. Some will be general updates about our work on Identity and some will be focused on certain aspects within the game. Also, on that note, you're going to be getting a very interesting Identity Insider very shortly, covering criminal activity and gameplay. It's a major part of the game and we've surprisingly not been asked many questions about these systems in the past. You'll be getting all kinds of juicy new information and ideas of what you're going to encounter! The Twitch Clips If you've been following Identity's development closely, you probably already know that developers stream their work live on the Identity Twitch channel every Tuesday and Thursday. We also use that time to answer almost every question that gets asked about Identity's development and gameplay. Now that we've been doing this a while, we've answered a lot of questions. Our awesome community manager, BeachBall, has taken the time to compile a massive list of questions linked to clips where they're answered by a developer. Get comfy and head over to the Twitch Clips Directory forum thread. If you haven't found this already, be prepared to spend a good bit of time listening to all sorts of awesome information. This is the best place to get to know the fine details Identity! -- John VanderZwet

My real life husband is also my master. I'd honestly just be happy having a partner in game without anything else. I'm in it for the rp, not ownership of anything.
