    1. Some people want realism in the game and "Squeakers break emersion" 2. While online interaction isn't rated by ESRB the devs are designing the game to be very mature. 3. Don't complain about people judging you. People are going to judge you for everything. If you want them to think you are mature: act mature.
  2. 3 points
One of the biggest signs of maturity is patience. Be patient and eventually you will be older and people will consider you immature. You can't make your voice change and you can't change the internet's reaction to your voice. If you want people to respect you, you're going to have to earn it. It will be harder because you have a higher pitched voice but not impossible. Instead of complaining about things you cannot change, take pride in who you are. No one will stop you from playing the game, and (Hopefully/ in a perfect world) no one will break RP to call you out on your voice. Knowing these two things, what could you possibly have to complain about? Take pride in yourself and your voice. Be the one squeaker on the internet that everyone respects.

Listen i've had a large experience with 12 year old's in roleplay, this isn't the first time i've seriously roleplayed. And from what i have gathered every single 12vie that i have met has been annoying/cringeworthy/not roleplaying. And here is someone that is 12, has a Minecraft profile picture, starting a thread about him being 12 and has a generic name. If i'm gonna be honest starting this thread didn't help your 12 year old problem here at all, only made it worse.

You might think I'm crazy but I don't like gun games and in identity I want to start my own phone shop that people would buy and use or join a bus company to drive the buses. Generally you will find those trolls but I don't understand why they would get a gun and do a few kills then they die and have to build the gun all over again and I don't think it's worth it. When I usually play gta 5 I drove trucks and buses nothing else lol

Honestly you meet requirements of someone who would be annoying in-game - Minecraft picture - "Gamer" in username - Complaining about people calling him out on being 12 i honestly thought this was a joke at first then i realized it wasnt when i scrolled down

As Identity will be a game devoted to MMO RPG in a real world sense, RDM is a big problem, and it is annoying on such games as Altis life or Gmod DarkRP. As there are moderators and admins already signed up for servers, I can imagine that there will be a great deal of security for players and punishments for rule breaking. Ofcourse RDM is inevitable, accidentally or purposfully. Some people are just dicks. There isn't really a way to detect RDM without making the game incredibly limited, so I imagine a user reporting system will be set up. If you are really worried about RDM or just rule breaking in general, I would suggest that you download a background window recorder too keep as evidence if any rule breaking does occur. If you have an AMD or Nvidia graphics card, this comes as standard. For more information read up about Death and Rules in the FAQ here:http://www.identityrpg.com/community/topic/7-frequently-asked-questions/

Let me preface this by saying, that from what I have read from the devs, they don't want the economy to be like in Altis life. That is to say, essentially a huge grind fest with very little destruction of wealth, fixed prices of goods, and very little movement of money from player to player. In this state money is more like a score than a currency. However there is one major pitfall they are going to have to avoid if they want to do an open market economy right. This pitfall isn't actually inflation, but deflation. Let me give an example to visualize how dangerous this is. In this example there are a group of people, a buyer named Tom and a Seller named Joe. First we have the group of people put their money in a player owned bank instead of just keeping it under their mattress. This is good because it allows this money to move around instead of just being useless like in Altis life. Then Tom wants to start his Taxi company. So instead of having to grind up enough money to afford a taxi. he goes to the bank and takes out a loan to be able to afford the taxi. Kickstarting his business in infinitesimally less time than it would take in Altis life. This is why banks are so great. So now the money that was the group of people's is now loaned to Tom. Again moving the money around instead of having it build up under people's mattresses. Here is where the problem of deflation arises. If Joe, the taxi salesperson, is a player, then everything is fine. The money stays in circulation and Joe will put that money back into the bank. However, If Joe is an AI, and the taxi selling shop is an AI business, the money is gone. It's deleted from the universe. It doesn't remain in circulation and people have to grind more to make that money exist again. I hope the devs can see why this would be such a major problem. So any questions?

Obviously, a lot of us heard about/were drawn to Identity from within our current/prior RP communities and games. So, "where" is everyone from? What brings you here? I'm from Arma 3's A3L. I was with them for a while and did a lot in law enforcement, but my opinion of the community soured and my time there has more or less come to an end and I'm looking for greener pastures. Hopefully, Identity is that greener pasture. It's ambitious and promises a lot, and I earnestly hope it can deliver.

Obviously, details are scarce this early in development, but we know two things at least: 1. Many processes on Public servers will be automated. 2. Private servers will be an option, and the owners will have control over a lot of things. As someone who plays as and thoroughly enjoys law enforcement, I think the biggest impact that this automation will have is on the justice system. Unfortunately, metagaming is a fact of life, and while it can be mitigated, it cannot be fully gotten rid of. My concern is that the Public server system will crank out a lot of "cops" who take the role solely for the guns and cars and authority without much regard for all the actual police work entailed by RP. Thus I worry to them, "guilty" or "innocent" might boil down to a checkbox of "will the game allow me to I arrest this person?" Obviously, I hope the developers install safeguards for this, but the fact remains--allowing people to "take a training and a quiz" to become a cop and have them promoted based upon an XP-system of sorts is going to have it's problems. Therefore, while Public servers might be an alright place to sharpen your teeth, I think that the Private servers (presuming they have a good moderation team) is going to be the better experience. Thoughts?

From what has been said by the devs, firearms will be very realistic. There is also such things as jamming your gun after too much use.

Okay so recently ive seen people judge me just because of my age. So what everyone can play games and everyone has the right to play them i dont think it should be allowed that i am treated difrently just because im 12 like wtf. Its like treating a 70 year saying that he is to old and cant play. Like people you should be happy that diffrent age groups are playing this game as it will make it more diverse. This is a roleplay game allow it to be more intresting in life you wont see 14 year olds doing police work and you see how it would be so next time when you comment something just because their young think again cause i might be 12 but that doesnt change anything

Okay so over the past day i realised a lot of stuff about this community and how it works and it really taught me a lot how the game works and will try really hard to fix this . I understand everyone just gets annoyed by stupid 12 year olds who think they can have fun when their actually ruining it. Also now i fall in this age group and i have to show myself diffrent from the others. Im really sorry to all i have said unsensible comments to and i do regret this in general but unfortunatly we cant reverse time. This is my mistake so im gonna message you all about this privately . I know in life your gonna get jugded were ever you go even at school but you have to understand it for it to work. I do understand why this is such a hot topic and why most of you hate me now cause im probably the only 12 year old in this forums. Now i will try my best not to be annoying i will do my rp as serious as it can get i really dont want to ruin anyones game expericence and i know to most of you this game is something that you wanted for a long time and its the same for me i dreamed of this game. It came true. Now all of you think im not mature but that is up to you to decide not me. Everyone has a diffrent opinion and i accept it totally. Im am very sorry guys i hope you guys can understand how stubborn i am and i have a lot to learn from this game Sincerely Lion To all who posted on this topic

A man dream can never be crushed by anything else than his own thoughts. Now enough of my very handy and philosophical quotes. Pirates are not some people that are broke and rob people on the ocean all the time. There are loads of pirates of all races such as money pirates, scamming pirates and the list goes on, being a pirate is not a job it is a market. Now please respect these guys as they are bound to put their life on their line to steal from you. Luckily for me, I just need to consider people out. I am always talking too much, that is my weakness. Oh dear but my weakness can also be turned into a charismatic skill anyhow, these pirates, I believe in them of some kind. Hope you all do to.

Honestly Lion, you're starting this intentionally and you know you are. This topic heading isn't even remotely related to Identity. What you have to understand, if you don't already, is that people ARE going to judge you, because of your age, profile picture and username. Making a topic about it isn't going to help anything. People have a bad reputation with people under the age of sixteen. We are not saying we have a bad reputation with you individually, but you must have the intellect to realise that if you are over sixteen, and you are playing a game with someone under sixteen, you are going to stereotype them as being immature or unknowlegable. It's like if you were kickstarting a game you really cared about, in a great community, and then a four year old stumbles in. You don't know who this four year old is, but you know that they are four. You also know that most four year olds are unlikely to grasp the idea of this game you are playing, and all of the four year olds you have come across have been exceptionally immature. Wouldn't that make you slightly less likely to like them or want to engage in conversation with them? If you think of this situation in that perspective, then you can understand where we are coming from. Personally, I have no problem with you atall. I don't know you, and for all I know you could be the most mature and understanding twelve year old in the world. But the guys don't, so you can't blame them for anything. But you can't help the situation by making topics that are only going to anger yourself and others. The way your going with this buddy, if you aren't careful, you are going to seem like one of the more negatively looked upon twelve year olds. I think the best way to resolve this would be to PM the guys who have doubts about you, and explain to them that you are more mature than you seem and that you will understand the game, and won't be a harm to the community. Hugs and Kisses, Raffen

You are not different from the other child, you still got a squeaky voice, yeah just because you are young you are supposed to not play the game, your comparison don't work exactly because a 70 years old is more mature than a little child. It's not because you say you are mature that you do. The ones that are truly mature don't feel the need to say it, are you feeling concerned by the fact you are not mature? Don't try youngsters, shut up and learn from the big guy and come back when you got a better behavior. That's name also isn't serious. No, you can't play or roleplay perfectly, you are too young to give the other people PLEASURE to roleplay with you and to yourself give pleasure because people won't take you seriously.

What is the point to build a forum within a forum. We really do have a forum here where we can humble around and talk free. Is this more like a fan-forum? I literally have no idea why you made this as we already have a forum. Not to sound rude or anything but why?

I was kind of in a rush while writing this, but I'll explain. First of all, when I was in SWAT, I scouted the outside of the building. Looking for doors to breach, windows to shoot through, etc. I scout it like in Rainbow Six: Siege. Except no drones. Also, standard full-penetration cannot be applied if you do not study the building and know who's inside. It's not silly, it brings realism. SWAT do study the building before breaching IRL. Also, if the enemy knows you're in there, you're in danger. I never mentioned about taking our time. I try to be as quick as the SAS members at the Iranian embassy raid. Better explanation?

I come from a GTA San Andreas mod called "San Andreas Multi-player" (SA-MP). I started out on a Server called Moving Target Gaming, the community has existed for about 4 years now, still running to this day, how ever i can't say it's doing well right now as the player base is about 30 players a day. I also play on another community called Los Santos Role-play (LSRP). The community of LSRP is really big, about 500 players a day, little rule breakers and a lot of good Role-players.

Please explain why you would memorize different ways for all the buildings? It sounds completely unnecesarry and, to be quite fair, silly. Standard full-penetration can be applied anywhere at any time?

I didnt mean i dont like 12 year olds, and i didnt say anything about me having a problem, but more of other people. Also if I didnt like 12 year olds I would not have made a high piched kid a admin on my gmod server, I just hate the ones who ruin the game, also I made a 12 year old my "Head Admin on my TTT, now why would I do that if i hated them that bad. Fact is I just wanted to warn him that a lot of people on this forum already said they dont want the little kiddies. Also I lied about part of my warning on "no community server will allow you to use a mic" because if/ when i get a server, I will allow anyone to use the mic unless they just scream at people and such. @LionKingGamer "Nice to meet you to and kick a poo I agree with you like don't judge someone on their age if you met other squeakers that are 12. Once you were 12 and I don't think you would like to be insulted just because of your age" When I was 12 I never had such technology, also I didnt use a mic. Give me your youtube link. I will check it out!

Not at Steam retail price, it's not. There are a few good "Life" mods out there such as Altis Life, City Life, Arma 3 Life, but the communities that run the mods can be pretty terrible at times, both in and out of game. (Notably, these statements are based solely upon my experiences over at A3L.) The mod was very much centered upon cops-vs-robbers and there wasn't much interesting for really rich people to do aside from crime. As a result, all of the "life" occurred surrounded by robberies, shootouts, kidnappings, etc committed by civilians for fun. That's not to say good RP doesn't happen, but me and the other guys on the force would joke that patrolling downtown Lakeside counted as being deployed to a warzone, and that wasn't always far from the truth.

Just want to know from the devs how in depth they plan on going into with vehicle Customisation. In my opinion I like the Customisation within The Crew which allows you to customise liiteraly everything from different body components to interior to various internal parts. I hope that we can see such a feature within Identity that allows us to customise our car to its full extent. Everyone on the server will have something different that they can call their masterpiece. @Motown @Paratus thank you. All comments welcome

That's a good idea. Imagine going to a buddy's house and having little or nothing to do because they have no power, or perhaps you see a moving truck down the road, helping a homeowner move their things out because they got foreclosed on. I'd also be interested in seeing fuel levels in cars. People would think twice about stealing a car if the previous driver was neglecting their gas tank, and you come to a rolling stop during a police chase, because you ran outta fuel.
  44. 1 point
Not entirely sure actually. Would be a really immersive idea to have such a system in game. Money goes to the government and they can raise and lower the prices. Will make people think a bit more before they put in their vote at the elections
