  1. Welcome, Rajesh! India's a remote place, but not remote enough for Identity! xD As it just so happens, my name on the forums is also Vincent Luciano! Weird I know. You picked a good name though, so stick with it, just don't be on the same server as me! Haha. Anyway, welcome to the forums my friend. Look forward to seeing you in game with that Rothstein buddy of yours, nobody says you can't run a casino, just maybe change your title to Food and Beverage Chairman, then you'll avoid any trouble with the Teamsters Union or whoever runs the casinos at the big ol' island! Also, tell James I wish him the best with the Contis, hope kicking up to Aldo works out for you guys, or whenever you decide to find a server you can truly call home.

  2. Yeah, Joe Pesci only had one scene in A Bronx Tale, (Two if you count the murder scene but he was in that for literally 5 seconds) but even in that movie he delivered very powerful, quotable lines. He'll always remain a legend in my book. I've only seen him in Goodfellas, Casino, Raging Bull, and Home Alone 1 and 2, so I have yet to see all the films he's starred in. I make it my objective to see the rest of his work, a marathon if you will. The Irishman is gonna kick ass and that's what I'm really looking forward to with Joe Pesci. We'll see how it goes.

  3. It's a lot more difficult for the police than it is for criminals. All criminals need is some motivation and leadership, and for the forums, a decent post. The police force need a hierarchy every officer recognizes or else it's complete chaos. I'd imagine it's going to take actual forum mods/admins to organize the official police force and whatever agencies also exist. I want to see a well structured force, so hopefully it'll come together when the first module is released.

  4. Yeah..needs a bit of clarification. For this forum I'd also suggest making a more expansive post in the future, asking "is there any mafia here" won't get you members if that's what you're looking for.

    Discrete payroll? Benefits? Inside information?
I mean, the list goes on... being a Private Investigator simply means you establish a network yourself to speak with people. People don't have to want to speak with the police, but speaking with a P.I. could mean they benefit financially, or the P.I. buries some of their evidence, or gives them something valuable in return.

It was simply an observation on the "Information shop" business that was mentioned. If you're a publicly known shop for double dealing, no one will trust you. If you're a "certified" P.I. and have your own network, you work on a contract basis and underline that you can't work for the people you're investigating etc... You can easily obtain yourself a good reputation and be paid well for services rendered, which ultimately could filter down to your informants.

If it's done effectively, I could see that. I know this also sounds a bit far-fetched but wiretaps would be cool to see too. Just don't know how an agency would get away with planting recorders in known criminal hideouts without people metagaming or checking the map. We'll see how it goes, but it's got a lot of potential.

  6. What makes you different from all the other gangs/criminal organizations on the forums? No offense, it's just not very detailed and your rules are pretty generic.

  7. This is really well done! I haven't seen something this organized in the precinct probably...ever. The attention to detail is really amazing, I just hope this is followed through in-game because since there's nothing to actually play on, there hasn't been much decent police/FBI roleplay as of yet. Just a bunch of pretender cops that go on gang forums and threaten them with justice.

  8. What is this 1815? There's no need for a congress in such a small state. I could see maybe a small council oversees important issues like the cabinet of a presidency, but a congress seems a bit much for an island.

The (english) Friends for Life mod really makes Mafia 2 better. It's like free ride but with tons of cool content. Check before you download it, because there could be viruses on fishy websites. By the way, I love your "Quotes" section on your signature.

Was considering trying it out, looks fun. Also, thank you! Didn't take that long to get them.

What happens when someone comes to you for information and you don't have any information on that particular group?
And when you do start leaking information over companies etc... players instinctively won't trust you because you're constantly sharing information that players want to be kept private.

You may be better off advertising yourself as a Private Investigator rather than a provider of information. That way information you track down can be presented, if you can't track any information down, you're still paid for the time invested into it. You'll just need to expand your network early on to get "informants" or sources of information.

What will give players the incentive to become "informants" though? I can imagine MAYBE if all their wealth, real estate, and cars were at steak, maybe, but even then who's not willing to serve 45 minutes in jail? I guess maybe the private servers might add life sentences, basically ending any chance your character can do anything unless they flip. If there was actual purpose to giving info away to the FBI, that would be really intriguing.

  11. To be honest, I've never had the displeasure of experiencing a poor airline. I've heard things obviously but I usually fly with Delta or Lufthansa when I travel to Europe. I've heard some bad things about American Airlines, very cheap but the planes themselves are practically falling apart.

  12. Patience, my friend. Find some other games to get invested into so time goes by a bit faster. If you're just checking the tracker all day time will go by slower and slower. Try to forget about it for awhile, when the devs feel it's ready, they'll release it.

  13. I used to play Hearts of Iron 4 nearly everyday since I was a big WWII history buff, but now I switch on and off between Mafia II and Garry's Mod MafiaRP. Mafia II is fun for the story but also for screwing around with Joe and trying to rob every store on the map without getting killed, and MafiaRP obviously for the decent roleplay you'll have on there every once and awhile, though it's far from perfect.

I did want to take a moment to mention some of my favorite forum members, based on their activity. Firstly of course, @LuciousTimes...that could have been seen a mile away. There are more though, @Vincent_Luciano, @Anonymous_Citizen, @Frank, @KIRBYDUDE, @Micky_Tohmpson, @LuckyDuck, @Identity_Party_Org, @DrivenMuffin, @JoelKeys, @MichaelPayne, @Andrew811 and so many more. I hope to see you all in game one day.

Thanks man! Much appreciated. I look forward to seeing you in game as well, though whenever they allow for private servers I'm most likely going to be playing on them, since there'll be communities with stricter RP rules.

Frank's greatest accomplishments include reporting people on forums boards for arguments that he started, hardly what I would call gang activity.

Thank you for your input, have a nice day.

¿ “an organization that as of this moment, has done absolutely nothing wrong” ?

    Really? Ok, let’s see...

    Post nº 1 (08/16/16)

    The Luprano crime Family.

The family is involved in a vast array of criminal activities that include:

extortion,     loansharking,     book making,     fraud,     kidnapping,     drugs,     illegal weapons,     contract killing,     robberies    &  much more.

Hey, I have on more question. Vinny is a diminutive... Why? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

You realize you can't just use the forums as an excuse to go after someone right? It's called metagaming. Perhaps you've heard of it.

If you want to have a valid excuse to go after this organization, prove it when Identity comes out. Not on here.

and the hell is wrong with having a short nickname? I prefer to be called Vinny, not sure why that's any concern.

Ok bastards of Identity. When the game starts... I will hunt you. I will find you and I will KILL you(or arrest you, anyway...)!

First of all, is it even in your jurisdiction to go after an organization of this size? I thought that was the FBI's job. Sure you might make small busts, but you're a small drop in the bucket when it comes to law enforcement against organizations like these. So before you go acting like some vigilante cop that wants to target an organization that as of this moment, has done absolutely nothing wrong, how about you make sure your own department is actually a force to be reckoned with, first? I'll end it off with another Charles de Montesquieu quote, since for whatever reason you seem to adore him.

"There is no greater tyranny than that which is perpetrated under the shield of the law and in the name of justice."
