when you die the paramedic has a timelimit to avoid your death by revivng you via defibrillator. if you die you lose your inventory items (candy bars, weapons, but no money, no clothes and no keys (car, house etc.)). permadeath would suck because: script kiddie (i hope i don't have to say what a script kiddie can do to your character) and other rampages and carcrashes caused by retards

if you want a rifle do this: get your favorite assault rifle, put an acog sight on it and don't hold the left mousebutton. just tab it for single shots and done! you have your own rifle
