  1. Introducing rancher Lilesse!

Hello! Nice to meet you all, I am Lilesse! I was born and raised in the Netherlands and have recently moved to Sweden. I found out about Identity yesterday and so far the game appeals to me a lot. It would be great if I could start up my own ranch out in the countryside in the Identity world! Working together with my other half we hope to create a thriving business. I would take care of the animals while my other half will be out on the farm. Hope you have a great day!
  2. Ranching

I'm interested in owning my own ranch with cows, sheep and horses. I read that farming will be in the game, but what about ranch animals? Will I be able to milk cows, shear sheep, ride and/or breed horses? Will horse racing be a thing? Can I put a cart on my horse to deliver the goods I want to sell? I would like a ranch house with pastures full of animals around it. Will that be possible? And what about pets? Will we be able to own dogs or cats? Will we be able to open a pet shop or breed and sell dogs and cats to other players? I can't really find many answers to my questions, does anyone know?
  3. Owning a farming buisness

__________________What Is Shieldsy Ranch & What Can We Offer__________________ Shieldsy Ranch, founded in 1869 in southern Detroit. Me, Jordan Shields (25) has inherited the once great land to now take charge and become the farming 'powerhouse' whilst being respectful and caring to all workers and applying successful trade deals. We hope to see you in the future, and remember, Calypso’s Farm: Freshness you Can Taste! (Calypso’s Farm is more along the lines of a small business, rather than a big corporation. Since there isn’t much information on farms, a lot of this is just speculation and is subject to change. ) Crops being Grown: Tomatoes Potatoes Wheat Cotton Strawberries Grapes Carrots Apples Oranges Plums Pears Peaches Blueberries Sugar cane Cocoa beans Animal Products (If in game): Milk Cheese Butter Wool Leather Eggs Beef Pork Chicken Silk Jobs: CEO: Owner of Calypso’s Farm Manager (1 available): One is appointed to each of the fields we own. As we expand and acquire more fields, there will be more managers. They oversee all of the employees working on our farms, and report back to the CEO on the happenings of the field they’re in charge of. Managers also work with the CEO and assistant managers in other administrative activities such as marketing and advertising. Assistant Manager (1 available): Similar to the manager title, the assistant manager is for those who would like a more authoritative title, but are unable to commit large amounts of time to the farm. They will assist existing managers in the work they're assigned to do, and when there are no managers present on the farm, assistant managers will assume the role of manager temporarily. Harvester (3 available): Once the crops are fully grown, harvesters will go around the fields and harvest all of the crops. They will also plant the seeds for the next harvest, and maintain the health of the crops. Harvesters will also be allowed to use tractors if the field they’re working on has one. Workers (1 available): They tend to the upkeep of the farm, which includes repairing broken fences, getting rid of waste, and weeding the fields. Truck Driver ( 0 available): They will transport our produce to the companies and stores that purchase them. If anyone has any suggestions or criticisms as far as crops or jobs go, I appreciate any help! Pm me if you’re interested in working with me or leave a comment! Thank you! (Also if this post looks familiar, I had a different farm but wanted to change the name. 7. Brewing and Farming!

I was wondering if there would be farming and brewing. Farming seems like a yes, but not 100% sure. And Brewing seems like a great idea because of different ingredients could provide different buffs and duration of said buffs. There could be contests for beers. Judges of effect, duration, cost, name, and of course taste would determine a winner. I would love this! Would you?
  8. Brewing and Farming!

I was thinking about the farms on the map. Will people be farming different crops to sell to stores? If this is the case, will the same thing happen for beer? Will there be a brewery where someone can craft their own batches? Making contest out of the most creative beers? Granted taste is one thing but effect and duration of buffs, cost and most importantly the name will determine winners. If farming is a job in Identity, will tractors and such also be in the game. If so, Farmer Frest has found his calling!
  9. Agriculture

I really want to know about what they are going to do for the farming end of things. myself my family farms corn, wheat, and hay ive played that farming simulator game and is sadly misses a lot of key parts to do with those parts in this field. If there is anyway that farming could get some attention i would for sure buy this game and a pc to run it.
  10. Hey, everyone! Since Identity has a farmer job I was wondering if there'll be such things as selection and fertilizers. What do you guys think?
  11. My List of Ideas

Activities Horseback riding with a lot of customization, such as saddles, bridals, boots, and gear. The ability to earn real money selling clothes and things you build like in Second Life (probably in the non robbery sections). Being able to create or build anything and have as much land or space as you want. Second life's land costs way too much for people who want to build and immerse themselves in their own world. The ability to upgrade your property acreage would be nice as well. Integrating the ability to use 3d modeling software to make things, such as blender, maya, or zbrush. Snorkeling Collect tropical fish and either eat them, sell them, or put them in your aquarium. Find rare artifacts and fossils underground that you can put in a museum, in your home, or sell for money. Find and collect materials for farming and building. Build your own dream home. Places Casinos, gambling. The ability to play poker, chess, card games, and other games Beaches Live on a farm, in a meadow, or out in the open fields. Castles Old fashioned bookshops Beaches Bowling Alley Careers Animal breeding and care taking, ranging from horses, to farm animals and pets. Horse training Grow and sell plants such as tall grasses, flowers, bushes, trees. Grow and sell fruit and vegetables for food. Farming. Fishing. Grow and sell wine Baking. Sculptor Ideas Nature trails near hunting grounds. Hunters unable to shoot horses or hoseback riders. Have some areas be danger proof from robberies and fire. Seasons change year round, and the leaves on the trees change color. Raise pets, such as dogs or cats Weather, such as rain Auctionhouses Garage sales Character has flatulence problems depending on what it eats (Not urinating or pooping) Books in world plus beautiful library Radio plays when person walks into a store Please read this and consider these things! Thank you.
  12. Allotments

'Not rich enough to own a server-farm? Don't have a garden or a greenhouse? Then why not get a plot at your local community garden? For a low monthly rent you can own a small instanced plot and gain a footing on the ladder of self-sufficiency. Limited to 15 plots, unsuitable for livestock, each community garden is a persistent Sub-Hub where you can get to know fellow green-thumbs like you. Within your designated plot you are free to design the garden of your dreams, or use planters to grow your own food. If you and your fellow gardeners feel like working together then you should consider entering the 'Bloom-Box' competition. Produce a show-stopping garden in any of the categories and wow the judges to win wonderful prizes.' I think this would be a great addition to the game, if it isn't already in the plans. I like the idea of growing my own veg, or having a small hub of like-minded people to meet up with, a sort of randomly-appointed guild. I guess the actual instance could hold more people than plots, that way visitors can come in and walk around. Visitors could even pay an entrance fee or buy some of the produce from a player-supplied farm shop? 'But beware budding gardeners! Allowing unscrupulous visitors into your oasis could result in the petty theft of your valuables.' Maybe a low-rent allotment is cheap but can be stolen from, whereas a garden with a high rent could offer a guard or cameras to prevent theft when the gardeners are away. Thoughts? TLDR; I want to be able to play with the farming mechanics without investing in an actual farm.
