  1. Nice to see some happy postings, really great community happy to be a part of it. Let's make this community stand out from others, be kind to each other, help out where you can and welcome new pledgers. I know most of us already do :)

Can't wait to be playing with you all!!!

  2. @Olio @LuckyDuck @LightBringer @Cayn @Budbringer @HairyGrenade

Just wanted to thank you for being here and keeping an eye on the forums you deserve a lot more thank you's than you get. You help out where necessary, you welcome everybody regardless where they come from, you keep the forums clean, you try to inform us in every situation as best as you can, you keep us believe and hope in this project, you motivate others. I know you do not have an easy task but you all do your job voluntary as much as I know of and you earned my gratitude and respect because this is not a job I would like to do.

This is just a small list of many other things you do for us. And you deserve a lot more thank you's.

    Just my 2 cent ;)

  3. This is what Paratus said in his last announcement...

    Quote

As soon as we get some final bits of art in place, we're going to compile a Town Square trailer video and begin showing off the game and environments on our development streams.

I'm exactly where I was when I first came across this game early last year, although that's not to say I'm 100% expecting this game to release and I never have been! I know how crowd funding works and that will be the same after the release of TS and up until full release. I however am not particularly worried about delays or the regression from release date to task bar (if I'm honest, I think that's probably the best thing the Dev's could have done IMO). I've backed and followed games which haven't had delays and failed dramatically. I've backed and followed games which have been plagued with issues and delays and been successful we all like to speculate but ultimately it comes down to the motivation of the Dev's and all this nonsense, second guessing and repition on the forums won't help.

Will wait and see, but a good few of the community fail to understand is that there's an inherent risk in backing early and if it's not money you can afford to loose (or simply don't want to) don't pledge...just hold out and wait for the full release.

    This...

    also, count me in 100%

explain the updates they made when this first came out during the weekend then.... i mean what changed?

That was the weekend before Town Square should have been released and they were all on deck making the tracker to satisfy  all of us and eas our minds. But they are no machines and also need to have a day off or two that is why tracker did not get updated this weekend.

Ok but what you do with your money is your problem. And if you dont care thats fine but the majority of us do.

You are right as should you. Also I do care a lot about my money but I am aware that when I invest in to a project or stocks I also might lose. Most of the time I win and that is why I am not poor and can purchase, Invest into whatever I like to. You need to understand that this project could easily go down the drain and all of us lose everything. That's why I only pledge into projects if I can afford it and does nut hurt me if I lose.

Because theres money involved. I dont know about you but I’m not happy about throwing money away. Do delays make you happy? Do you eagerly wait for delays? We have the right to upset.

You backed / invested a project you did not buy anything. I backed many games over this years. Many of them never got made for example The Mandate also lost 500 bucks there, and many more it does not matter. Thing is you are a investor nothing else and you might lose money. Look at my signature.

Yeah I understand that now but they did say “each and everyday” which got many people to take it literally, which I think was reasonable. Guess they just need to bec careful what they say.

Saying stuff and interpreting it is always difficult some understand it differently. Some do understand more some less, some are more tolerant some are not. Me for example I backed this because I want them so succeed whatever it takes even if they break promises or don't hit a deadline. I understand that stuff happens and I only want them to succeed nothing else. If they don't that is bad luck and it happens I will never ask for a refund or anything from them because I support them all the way and that is why I am here. I want them to make their dream come true so we can share it all together ;)

Ok but if their hands are full they shouldn’t constantly promise us things. Besides, its a simple tracker that doesnt require too much of a workload.

You are absolutely right. But they are updating it every day just not on weekends.

What your saying is true but if they’re going to promise something (regardless of their hours) they should get it done, I doubt it takes much work to update the tracke, but I don’t expect them to work 24/7.

You are also right but you also know now that they do not work 24/7. The tracker is not yet automated and constantly demanding is not helping. They have their hands already full getting all together for release it will be done soon and then we can all be happy :)

Or I'll have to accept I can't trust what they say they will do. I don't care what their work hours are, they could work 2 hours a day for all I care. If your going to tell a community you will do something I would think they would stick to it.

And what is your goal here? Dev’s will update however they like you can not change that. The only thing you have to accept is that you have no control over how they work and deliver us Square Town.

im in the oil and gas industry, i work on my days off most times and we work 12 hours a day. 24/7 we don't rest we get the job done. if the devs wanted to be specific with when this would be updated, they should have been. with the constant delays, the always in the dark, never meeting targets or goals, people will start holding them accountable to everything they say including the wording of how they say it. i get they may not work weekends , however the tracker is on the website and i can only assume they can hit update anywhere in the world, even if there was no significant change.

The dev`s have their working hours, not yours either you can live with that or not nevertheless you will have to accept that.

Exactly as @Cstove have said, I'll quote the moderator who quoted Beach_Ball about it:

    Cayn-Yesterday at 6:32 PM

"we're still waiting on our payment service provider. We've left them several messages and voicemail yet no response, it would appear that they are the current bottleneck. We can't launch the new shop without it as we've been promising credit card payments forever with the new site." - Beach, today

This are good news and very promising. We only need to wait a bit more BOOM.... New website :P

  15. Yea open carry would be nice but not possible where I am from, only law enforcement, trained security personnel and military are  allowed to open carry. Going  to be posting new pic's on wednesday. My new B+T APC9 arrived today at my local weapons dealer store.

PS: Forgot to say here you only need to be 18 to be able to  purchase weapons.

What kind of Devs are these??

I work regular 12 - 15 hour days...sometimes, when project deadlines are approaching, or an issue wont get out of my mind, 18 hour days.

The luxury of these guys :)

Tough luck then you should be employed here in Switzerland, only 8 Hours per day and weekend off Saturday and Sunday only 5 days and also you get 5-6 week holidays ;)

Try me lol. Of course i cannot give you personal information, such as workplace or my degree. But I ensure you that i am a developer and had many projects till now. What its fascinating is that YOU are jumping to conclusions about my profession and my experience  while avoiding the subject of this post.  75% of the votes AGREED that we deserve a compensation. But YOU do not want to see that. Blind AF is the term I ll use here.
BTW... Where is the released day? Where is the proof that the game IS ACTUALLY BEING DEVELOPED? WHERE ARE THE DEV NOTES? All we saw is a twitch stream of a guy painting a beard. I would love to see this game happening. BUT, it seems that only few of us ARE PUSHING the developers to give us something OR at least prove to us that SOMETHING is happening.
@Kraiyick, People like you, keep the developers from pushing more work to be done. So, next time you want to write something. PUSH AWAY your ego and help us pressure the developers. Thats how you are getting something to play this year.

This topic is going nowhere, the dev's already said what had to be said. If you are not happy with it nobody is going to be able to help you. I do get your point. And I am not mad if the dev's decide to give us something for compensation but they do not have to.

  18. Maybe this might also be interesting for some of you guys. After Military in Switzerland you get to keep your rifle mine was a SIG 550. Nearly every Swiss which ware or is enlisted to Military has his rifle at home. This Weapons most of them up until 2008 did not have to be registered with the police, considering they are full automatic which are now forbidden and can not be purchased only semi automatic.
Swiss Armed Forces functions as a militia
