I'm not sure if I'm reading things wrong but the way some people talk about the developers of this game seems to be creepily religious. I don't think faith is something you need when it comes to video games especially if you're pledging pre-release. You should probably be thinking critically at that point.

Like @Turaxis said, but I used the word "Faith" which can be another word for "Believe" or "Trust" and well if you pledge before the game is released then you need to believe and like the devs said many times; "If you doubt's hold back on pledging until your doubt's are gone." That was what they roughly said and well so, you either trust them enough and you pledge or you don't trust and you don't pledge.

Don't forget vestige of the past.

That game is a survival game and so is completely a different genre.... Everywhere, we don't even know anything about it and also it possibly well will keep Roaming AI which don't interest the majority of Identities community.

I have faith, but actions speak louder than words. Early Access games have had a bad track record ( i hate the whole concept tbh )

I'm giving these devs more and more chances. A simple video was delayed multiple times. I rely on other people to make my games that I like, I understand I am not a dev, but the fact that I have been let down multiple times, in this case, I would like proof we aren't being lied to. ATLEAST understand where I'm coming from here, most of us here have justified views on this game's outlook and the devs.

I think I have as much to lose as you or maybe more seeing as I pledged $250 which is $170 over my normal buy.

Also the devs gave a new screenshot yesterday on twitter if you have not seen it yet, look at the latest post on the imgur thread which has the link to it.

I get where you lot are coming from, but I am in the same position as you guys but I am giving all my faith to them instead of saying I am getting annoyed because I know delays are inevitable on games but also means they are not rushing it. The video is delayed because they are working hard on the module still and or busy with a lot of things.

  5. Whoever made this really failed hard, after a comment I found which told them to add more info, they tried the campaign a second time. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-real-life-new-game-mmo--3#/

Sadly it got $0 this time and also it is going to be Free2Play making it even worse. I think it overall was just fake as because they have seen the popularity to the genre and want to take advantage. There is absolutely no info on the company and also they only have a FB page and no website. The game company is probably a scam as because they don't have info on who is behind the scenes and so they can scam easier. Little to no info means the project won't go further and also it will be F2P, which all F2P games suck. (My opinion)

A little tease wouldn't hurt lol

It will come soon, but we don't know when. Also from the looks of the new screenshot, the "Town Square" looks good and nearly finished.

  7. @Notic3 @MrClark @ZanderiusMaximus Guys, the next video will be on "gun mechanics" which will be out before the module but also delays means nothing get rushed or half finished, yet the module is said to only have a few more things until it is ready and I am sure there will be a video and an announcement saying when they will release it. I may have patience like you guys but I have faith in the devs, do you? If you do then no need for posts about it.

So there is an alpha stage to this game is it still available or possible to obtain a ?

To add on to what @Hatoful is saying, The 1st Module will be playable soon but it is not out as of yet. You will have to download the installer from this site when the module is available and download the module from that installer. The game will be available on steam ONLY at full game release which is likely to be some time next year.

But if someone happens to make a mod that is fun and does not affect anyone outside of their own server, will you let them? That's the argument I see here. You boast freedom, then why not allow the community help shape the community and produce potentially better content. If this content becomes popular, you could implement it into the main game. Of course, you do not want people to break the game but if it is on their own server, it does not affect the public.

Here's my proposal to you devs.

Allow modding but restricted: new models, ability to change various variables such as house cost, different textures, and maybe even allow custom maps because this game seems more of a framework than a complete game, it has so much potential. If someone made San Andreas as a map, why stop them?

My final point is this: Allow mods BUT only on whitelisted servers. This way you can provide a disclaimer that "We do not have any affiliations with the content on those modded servers, just like a gun manufacturer does not take responsibility for any murders committed using their product."

"I am not a dev", but yes if the devs did implement it, I think there should be restrictions because people will make sex mods and that is against what they want and also maps I think a better option would be DLC's or such for more Islands and not separate maps. Models, not really needed, and could mean people start making fantasy stuff.

When fantasy stuff comes into the game, that is when it becomes like DarkRP. They don't need the disclaimer because at the same time if the game gets banned of such sites as YT or Twitch then that means they failed to stop it by allowing modding and I know mods in-general are ok but the game is fine without them really. (My opinion).

In that post he said that Turtle Beach was SE of the island.

The map you have a picture of is "Concept Art" and has been stated time ago that the map has changed a lot since the kickstarter when the concept art was first shown.

Uh, actually now that I looked into it more it seems like my map is actually correct, even though I should probably change my locations to Roseport and Turtle Beach.

Yeah the concept map is correct but one of the cities that you picked was turtle beach, and I think the other one looked like it was "Ash Hill" as it was closer to the mountains etc.
