  1. He is talking about the mansions, this however wasn't concept art, they were mood samples.
  2. Request for an opinion

I am not a dev nor a mod but I am gonna try to answer your questions as good as possible Technically it isn't one error, it is shown on the tracker like this, however this task consists of multiple small tasks. also fixing a bug can cause another one to pop up I don't really know what you mean with uncertainty, so I cant really answer this There are devs who reply to certain topics, the statements from moderators however are also official. There is a bug with the tracker atm, no one is updating it, it is something they should fix for the next tracker. If you want proof of this just keep an eye out on the tracker, you will see that the hours cant be correct. for example you can look at the tracker and it says 8 hours ago, when you look at it an hour later it can say 6 hours ago. there has been a dev blog august 24th though I tried my best to answer your questions, hope hey are the answers you were looking for.
  3. Update

this has nothing to do with identity though, it has to do with steam itself... as far as I know no one has ever gotten a refund for a claimed steam key.
  4. Town Square Module Estimated Release Date?

you are taking it completely out of context... the reason why he doesn't feel comfortable saying a date because, as you are doing right now, people will take it out of context(around 1 hour and 30 minutes). Its about his personal opinion and even though he is very certain it will release before 2030 he can still feel uncomfortable answering it. so thanks for proving him right, this is the exact reason why he didn't wanna give an estimation.
  5. A rant about the ranters

Yeah... no difficulty with c#, is it just me or is it awefully similar to java? I have been in class for like a week or two and i am so bored seeing what i have already seen 😂
  6. A rant about the ranters

Whatya mean? Not like i am gonna respond to any of you and say you aint developers 😂. I must admit that i was wrong about you not being one, but hey its the internet its easy to say whatever you want right? To add to this topic i myself am still a developer in the making, got a background in java atm and i am now in college studying c#. Not like i already have a job or anything.
  7. I do love how you persist this game is a scam while there is enough proof telling us otherwise. If the game is a scam, why do the 3d artists keep making assets? If the game is a scam, why have we seen gameplay? Okay first off, canada isn't a 3rd world country, you don't believe they are based in canada? look up their address... Second of all, a fake game doesn't have active 3d artists working on a new asset every week or two, neither would they put time in concept art. Its simple to destroy "these types of comments" because they never contain any proof, they always consist of this mad theories behind them that couldn't be possible if you look at some actual proof. Then whats the point of sharing your mad theory, to prevent future backers from dropping their money on this project? This isn't an opinion anymore... this is just you stating its a scam which is considered spreading false information. "us real developers"? you mean to say that you, who clearly doesn't know a game takes time to develop and bugs can be a pain in the ass to remove, is a developer? Uhm, the first part is opinion and all that but as I said before, the red parts are definitely not considered opinions You seem very suspicious... its easy to go defensive on the devs over a comment like this, you act like you have found the scroll of truth and that you now know everything, you act like the game running in to bugs means the game isn't real, you act like canada is a 3rd world country... you see where I am going here. Your post doesn't show any proof and it can result in potential backers also thinking this game is a scam... Okay and to all of those I shall say again, a scam wouldn't release concept art, a scam wouldn't release gameplay, a scam wouldn't pay 3d artists to make assets the release dates being pushed back had nothing to do with bugs, it had to do with them underestimating the time they would need to finish TS, the last bugs that are being fixed have only been around since that last task was in testing. A release date being pushed back isn't considered a "fake" release date, its considered a delay, that's it. Don't make things sound more suspicious then they actually are. When have they lied? with the release dates? again, these aren't lies... You know just as much as we do, as far as we are concerned what they have been telling us is the truth, unless you have hard evidence proving they have lied to us, don't ever spread rumors like this. Perhaps give the game a break instead of calling scam because "they have pushed back delays" you did state your opinion... in the white part of your first post. the rest you said however consisting of: you blaming them for lying and saying they gave out fake dates, is considered spreading false information. Next time if you call scam, bring some proof to the matter, otherwise you are making it seem as if you want this project to fail.
  8. Unable to download to steam?

I am not showing that i am superior or whatever... people keep asking the same question over and over again while there is a perfectly functional search bar. If people would do some research the forums wouldnt overflow with new topics bearing the exact same question. Regarding the "toxic behavior" if you really think it was considered toxic then go ahead and report my comment, nothing is stopping you... as far as i am concerned i just pointed out you can find your answer way faster by searching for the answer. I did not insult, threaten or do anything of the sort.
  9. Unable to download to steam?

There is this thing called a search bar, this question has been asked and answered like ten times already, do search for your answer before asking a question
  10. Town Square Module Estimated Release Date?

There is no ETA... it will come out when it comes out
  11. why not? it is quite realistic for someone to rent an apartment instead of buying it, someone who wants to live in a penthouse for example but doesn't want to spend the money he worked for ingame he can just rent one since it is cheaper.
  12. Another Rant about time square

I seriously don't understand why so many players vote for the release now, there are still some mayor game breaking bugs they will have to fix that make the game unplayable in its current state. with "fixing bugs" they are not talking about the minor ones but about those huge ones, once these game breaking bugs are fixed they will release TS to the public and patch the smaller bugs through updates.
  13. You own it, it's all on you...

to be able to buy the beta access you will still need the citizen pass and technically this first module isn't the beta just yet, the beta will come after all 3 modules
  14. You own it, it's all on you...

that does seem rather odd, perhaps with the new website something went wrong with the hours being displayed and the devs aren't updating anything after all.
  15. You own it, it's all on you...

But just because there hasn't been a visual update doesn't mean there hasn't been an update, it is always possible they fixed a bug and updated the information on the tracker, of course this update wouldn't be visual since the tracker isn't as in depth. they should change the tracker to update automatically and make it more in depth(which I thought they were planning to do) preventing this "update" from not being visual
  16. You own it, it's all on you...

just read what I tried to explain. as long as the tracker gets updated manually they will need to regularly update to let people know the information is up to date even if there is no visual change. If the task tracker were to update automatically there wouldn't be a need for this anymore
  17. You own it, it's all on you...

The timer isn't manually set... the timer displays when the content inside of the task tracker was last changed... the task tracker gets updated manually
  18. Release?

How is it not game breaking then? the remaining bugs are game breaking... you do realize that there is a difference between a coder and a 3d artist right?
  19. You own it, it's all on you...

Ugh I feel like I am explaining this to a five year old. If the tracker says "last updated 1 month ago" how will you know that the task tracker hasn't changed? you cant because as I said before, the task tracker on the website is changed manually --> if the task is finished but they don't update the trackers information then we will just think they are still working on the last task. That is why regular updating is important
  20. You own it, it's all on you...

Theoretically they can but its not like they are gonna do it... they shared these keys because they are close to finished and like this everyone will have their keys already. The chances of this being the reason is like 2% There is a reason why you can buy the beta access separately, its because not everyone is interested in the modules/beta. and the point of there not being any gameplay is entirely wrong as well, it has been known from the start that TS will only be a social module... there will still be things you can do, like customizing your apartment for instance... I sure know a lot of people will keep themselves busy with that for a while, you can make paintings as well if that is your interest. Big businesses don't put their time in this because they are in the business of making money... Asylum has always wanted a game like this to appear and that's why they started making it themselves. You don't know their financial state as of now so don't try and spread rumors. You might see the transparency as non existent but then again, just because you backed the game doesn't mean you have the right to every piece of info, you know what you have to know. The bugs were buried deep in the engine and that is why it was so hard to find them. As of why it is taking so long, fixing one bug creates another and another and another... there you go. the information you need. They are not giving a release date because a) they know that their reputation has gone a bit downhill since their 2 release dates weren't met and are probably afraid of missing another deadline b) you cant just predict when you fixed all bugs since you don't know when the bug you fixed is the last bug.
  21. You own it, it's all on you...

That's not how always true... in this scenario they got the info on the websites tracker "up to date" there is just no visual change... lets take a scenario: there are 3 tasks left and one of those just got finished If they don't update the websites information then people will think there are still 3 tasks left... that's why the "updated so many hours ago" is important, because you know when the information was lastly adjusted and therefor you know if you are up to date or not. you clearly don't seem to be understanding this... this "24 hours ago" is not a visual trick.... it shows everyone that the information has been replaced with correct information so many hours ago. and I only reacted to these two things because these two things were the most BS in your entire post of bullshittery
  22. You own it, it's all on you...

the bugs they found were buried in the engine... and as you said, you are not a programmer. try to write thousands of lines worth of code and then try to fix bugs... one bug that gets fixed will result in another bug popping up. it isn't just a matter of finding a bug and fixing it anymore, it also takes rewriting whole chunks of code differently. It has been touched... this "last updated 24 hours ago" lets people know that the task tracker is accurate and isn't slacking behind. the task tracker doesn't get updated automatically on the website but manually. so just because nothing has visually changed doesn't mean it hasn't been touched for months...
