Architecture Program

Recommended Posts

Players can choose to be an Architect as their career and be able to work on small-time projects to make their pay but every few months or so the architects are able to put their stamp on the map.  Every 3 months an old building will be foreclosed and then architects will be able to enter a poll for a design of the new building that will replace the foreclosed one.  These contests will be strictly graded in many different categories and voted on by the players.  The contest will revolve around what kind of business needs to opened in that area (ie: grocery store, gun store, clothing store, car show, art gallery, hotel, etc)

I honestly don't know how this would work or even be possible to be implemented but just an idea.  My thought is something similar to what Warframe is doing with their Steam Workshop, players upload ideas and sketches of what they want added and at the end of the contest, one design is entered into the game and the architect will be paid for their contribution, but also have a percentage taken to cover up costs of building, materials, and property claim.

Architects can choose to open their own business, join a major organization or work for a friend's business to design their factories, warehouses, or buildings.

it would require alot of recorses to continuousley swap buildings around. though designing buildings sounds like fun, and would be awesome to look at a building and know a player made it.

This idea could be implemented to add content to expansion areas?  So we design buildings to be added to new towns etc.  The selected designers could receive a founders badge, or a plaque/statue in the town square.

This won't be a career and it also won't be possible to build own buildings and stuff. (source: their twitter)

Because performance reasons and network packages!
