I'm not stupid. The definition of a criminal is committing a criminal act. Which they are not. They are making associations with people. That's like making an association with you. The only reason anybody thinks this is illegal is because of the word "Mafia". Mafia does not mean criminal. It simply implies a family. If they commit crimes without people knowing, they still aren't criminals. If we don't know they're doing shit like that, we aren't criminals. They aren't aiding fugitives. Because in order to be a criminal you need to be caught. And in order to go to jail for associating with a criminal is if you help them cover up their crime or hide them from the law. A PI doesn't impend on investigations if they do their job correctly. You get permission from the spouse to help investigate if they've gone missing and they do their job. Usually PI's are former officers so they have the respect of the officers and they'll be aloud to help out. It all depends on the situation.
