4 pointsWelcome Tanner I am very excited as you are. Looking forward to see you in game. about the toxic community and cheaters, i think this will be different. Based on people in here, i can tell it will be something special, and we have the change to set a culture from the beginning. I think some of the game mechanics also would make it a tough life in identity if you cheat or being toxic. It is all about the culture we make from the beginning, and it really can be special with some good roleplay also. I am excited. See you in there!

2 pointsHey everyone, I heard about this game only a couple weeks ago, and after doing a bit of reading up decided that this was something I'd definitely like to back with a pledge. Maybe as I become more involved I'll even increase that pledge! There's something about a game that lets you become someone else - maybe it's escapism from the daily grind, or being able to do something that you may never have the chance to do in person - but whatever it is it looks like Identity is going to give a huge platform to start your own online alter-ego's life. I have to admit that becoming a business owner is something that interests me greatly, but at the time of writing I haven't learned enough about the mechanics of it in-game as yet. I'm very much still in my 'introductory' stage to the game and learning about as many upcoming features as possible before I decide to pigeon-hole myself, so to speak. Anyways, I'm a British geek with a big love of any game with an open world (yeah I have played a lot of them to varying degrees - I even own a collector's edition of Fable 3 (Not a true open-worlder I know). Bit of a let-down. Another story! ) Looking forward to meeting you all across the forums and seeing where this new adventure takes us. Really happy to have found this game early enough to be a backer - though still wish I'd found it sooner! Cochran

2 pointsI think you can sell to both players and an automatic type market because if you are starting out on the game how will money present itself etc.

2 pointsHi, I'd like to start off this post by directing you to the IdentityRPG Twitch. (https://www.twitch.tv/identityrpg) If you look at the most recent announcements, Motown speaks about a new "Gaming Hours" event that will occur on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. I was just going to direct attention to this broadcast so that members who already know will recognize the new schedule, and members who've yet to discover this can learn more about the game and it's development. Below is the exact announcement written by Motown. " Gaming Hour will now be on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday @ 4:00 PM EST to 5:00 PM EST. Monday's and Friday's Gaming Hours will be spent hard at work on Identity, as we get closer to Town Square release! " I highly hope that this post was helpful. Thanks for reading! ~ SummitsEdge // Identity Follower PS. // I was suggested to link their Twitter along with this post for any members that would like additional information or would like their questions potentially answered. 2 pointsWell i think there is a procedure, to go through to be a cop, hopefully that brings some actions, which a 13 year old would fail to do as good as an 18+ old.

2 pointsMaybe they could limit the table and chair placement? Maybe in a small little bar you can only place 10 tables and 40 chairs (4 chairs per table) and limit the places you can place them to block them greifing the shop.

2 pointsGuys thanks for the feedback but remember that it does say it is only a draft copy of the post and not the final copy. I appreciate the criticism and feedback because yes I believe it will be hard to remember but I will also likely make a site to add everything on it. That will so it is easier to remember.

2 pointsHonestly I want to see a little of everything ! Maybe depending on the area there's more type of some vehicles than others but really I want to see everything in this game if they do it well !

1 pointOFFICIAL ROYAL FAMILY ANNOUNCEMENT It is with great honor that I annoce that I Lucious Times Founder of The Royal Family Party and @JoelKeys Founder of The People's Party are uniting in order to bring good graces to the people, businesses, and eviroment of the Identity lands globally. The United States of America will be represented by The Royal Family and The United Kingdom will be represented by The People's Party. In accordance with the parties, myself and Keys will represent the party we've founded. Know Your Candidate Lucious Times Grandson of the Great Mufasa and son of The Great Simba. Lucious was exiled from the pride due to his desire to walk amongst humans as though he was one. Lucious then grew up homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In a city of crime Lucious had to be on the lookout at every turn. In Lucious' young life he grew to be very aware of the crime filled city and knew he had to do something to ensure his safety. At 15, Lucious started an organization with a few neighborhood boys called "The Peacekeepers". These boys were brutal. They cleaned the streets of crime in the most direct ways possible. Showing up to criminal hideouts and wasting away every member present, making fake visits to prisons and jails to poison and eliminate those criminals on the inside, making appointments with the LAPD to let THEM know how things would be done. The Peacekeepers were vigilantes at the finest. The city soon had a crime rate so low new schools were being built and more people migrated to the lovely city of Los Angeles. Through all the harsh deeds The Peacekeepers had done Lucious never was present for the actual action. He was the mastermind, the planner, the brain of the whole operation. Sitting behind a desk as leader of The Peacekeepers. Oh how things looked great! Lucious had made something out of nothing and became a city icon and hero as he grew older. Though soon, things made a turn for the worst. Lucious' closest partner, his beautiful fiance was capture by a man known by the name Gustavo Fring. A now well-known high profile methamphetamine drug lord. He did so because by cleaning up the city Lucious' made distribution for Mr. Fring come to a complete stop in the area. Lucious grew furious, so furious he began to walk into a whole new light. The Peacekeepers became a weapon at Lucious' disposal. He thought long and hard and then finally had a plan. After finding where Fring was located Lucious and his team of over 200 men approached the location, guns loaded and ready for anything. However, Fring was already aware of Lucious' presence and decided to retaliate. Fring killed Lucious' fiance, then sent out total war upon Lucious and his men. In the end only two men were left standing; Fring and Lucious. After few words, Lucious caught leverage and killed Fring. Though Lucious was severely injured by gunshot. He called the LAPD. With quickness, Lucious was saved and had chance to speak with the LAPD Chief of Police. He thanked Lucious for his doings and after a long conversation of tears the chief left. Lucious began to realize how much he'd loss. All his men, his fiance, his hold on the city from crime all gone! Three weeks later Lucious walked out of the hospital, grab all $789,211 he'd raised with his people, and began to leave town for a new home. A place called Turtle Beach on Identity Island. However, when he got to the town line he found something waiting for him. Over half the city was standing their with gold-colored gold-scented candles. Some of them stood to give thanks, but many stood ready to follow him wherever he went. A woman by the name of Dorris Jean approached Lucious and told him this: "We give these candles to represent who you are to the city. Forever will you be the gold we all love, the gold we all know has provided, the gold we all know will pay the price. For to us you are a leader and friend. For you have become like royalty in this city. And with you royalty we be your royal family." Lucious was proud. All negative feelings previous washed away. Lucious now felt the obligation to continue to lead. For he knew he was wise and could give great leadership. This time he wouldn't limit himself to the leadership of a groups of boys who run a city, no. That was below him now. Now he needed to lead in higher heights where he could have greater impact and influence. A position of power such as Governor would do the trick! So he then decided to venture into the political field of leadership once he arrived in his new home. A few hours later after a celebratory evening Lucious and the now called Royal Family left. 12 days later they arrived in Turtle Beach on the Identity island and realized how much worst thr crime was in Turtle Beach than it was in LA. It was almost as if Lucious couldn't escape evil. He grew furious once more and conducted a plan to rid crime once and for all. He got affliated with highly ranked criminal organizations and started elimination smaller ones little by little. Once Lucious' mind got right he realized how ill the lifestyle he involved himself with was. He then turned himself in and was held in Federal Custody. After serving his time he made a statement with the theme, no matter the crime, no matter the reason for the crime, all crime will have consequence. He now continues his Governor campaign and walks as an example to crime doers and a reason not to corrupt his town. Lucious will always stop crime, Be on the lookout! Joel Keys Soon... 1 pointHi there fellow Identity players! This is my first post here on the forums and I do have to say I am very excited to see what's next for the development. I can only imagine the enormity of the task before the developers, and for that, I commend their continuing interest in such a game. Many players including myself have been looking for a game such as this for a very long time, unfortunately, of which the major studios never found an interest in. I will spread the word on my YouTube account when appropriate (about 4k subscribers) because I want to see this succeed and get the funding it deserves. There's much more to talk about but for my first post I'd like to ask what we'll be using, as citizens, to design, develop, and implement new products such as clothing. Additionally, from what you know, what kinds of items are able to be produced? Are we limited to clothing, shoes, etc. or will there be a vast variety of designed items such as vehicles, sunglasses, suits, ties, cosmetic items, wigs, etc. I hope to see an easily usable program that any player can pick up to design products. Second Life is really the only other example, but I feel this interface is complicated and not easily picked up. Thank you!

1 pointI think it wouldn't be too hard. It would probably take some grinding to get some money, but that's how games are meant to be played. Maybe 2-3 jobs a day could land you a few thousand dollars.. It depends on how often you work and how much you work I would assume. You only get paid for the work you do, so if you take a break from the game for a week you won't get any income, and the payment is instantly I believe, much like missions in GTA V.

1 pointI hope that the developers add a feature or a tool which can design different clothes and accessories. They should also include for custom clothing made through 3D modelling software (Blender, Tekla, etc.) for users.
-
1 pointPets yes, they will be confined to the apartments at the release but in the future the devs to hope to allow them to follow you around.

1 pointFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) 1. How are Kickstarter backers different from website backers? There is only one difference between backer rewards for the Kickstarter and website. Kickstarter backers will receive a unique in-game hat with the Kickstarter logo. Website backers receive a hat with the Identity logo. No new content in the future will ever display either of these logos. 2. Many people are confused on what the game is about. Would you mind telling us what your vision for the game is? Is the game more about Cops vs Robbers, or a balance between all the available paths? Identity is a cops and robbers game at heart, but it is a life simulator in so many other ways. We’re catering to role-play in a way that is possibly the first of its kind. Players have the freedom to pursue careers that will impact the player economy in their own unique way. Become a taxi driver, deliver goods to player-owned businesses, fight fires, save lives, argue a case in criminal court, or just hold out your hand and beg for money. Find, or steal your ‘identity’! 3. What can you tell us about the world? World size? Player limit? We anticipate that the playable world size will be 200 square kilometers, or 77 square miles in comparison. This means that the whole map is 14 km wide, and would take about an hour and a half to walk across. We hope to support up to 300 players (or more!) per server. 4. Can you expand on the professions? We know there will be cops, but what types of jobs will be available for civilians? Will they be able to create their own businesses? Create their own items? etc. Also, Medics and Firefighters? Players can choose from a wide range of professions, including the ability to become a Firefighter, EMT, Taxi Driver, Farmer, Bounty Hunter, Fisherman, Logger, Miner, Delivery Driver and even a business entrepreneur. The options available to you as a player get more specific than this even, but we aren’t yet ready to expand on the full list. The direction of development is prone to change, and we don’t want to promise anything that might change down the pipeline. Business ownership allows players to own factories and small business, giving them control over what items are manufactured and sold. Items created by a factory must be delivered to their destination city where store owners in that area can decide what quantity and type (formal wear, casual, punk outfits, weapons, etc.) they wish to list in their business. Some default items are always available in all stores for when market demand is not met. 5. How will death be handled? When a player dies, some items such as the money the player is carrying at that time, will be dropped on the ground and will become accessible to anyone in the area that wishes to take it. Clothing items will never be dropped. We have decided that a player’s character appearance in a social game like Identity is important. You will always look the way you decide your character to look. If the player is not resusitated by an EMT or teammate, the player is then prompted to respawn at the location of their last sync (house, apartment, city) Private servers have some control over what types of items players will drop on death, if any at all. 6. Can you expand on how the housing system will work? Size and availability of apartments and houses? Players can choose to own or rent housing in Identity, while apartments can also be shared with a friend or roommate depending on the size of the property. For instance, two friends, or a married couple can choose to purchase a 2 bedroom apartment where they both can live comfortably with each other. Apartments and houses are fully customizable, allowing players to place furniture and objects anywhere in the room. Home-owners can invite other players into their apartment or house at any time. Players cannot access another players home without an invitation. 7. Will there be any specific safe areas where people can go AFK or sit and socialize without being killed or robbed? There are safe zones within certain types of buildings in Identity. Metal detectors serve to preserve immersion, and will temporarily remove any weapons upon entry, allowing all players in the area to safely relax, socialize and meet new friends. These safe zones are known to us as “Sub-Hubs” or social gathering points that reflect on the lifestyle theme of their environment (Biker Bar, Business club, Bum alley, etc.). While many of these areas can only be accessed by law-abiding citizens, some Sub-Hubs are neutral and can be entered by any player on the map. Few areas are designated gathering points for active criminals looking for the right crime of opportunity, or new friends to help them plan their next heist. 8. How will player identification work in game? Will names appear above players heads? If so, at what distances will they be seen? As our design stands right now, the official servers do display names over heads within certain ranges. Some things like masks and balaclavas can affect this. Moreover, private servers have an option where they can hide names from all players unless greeted. By this I mean you won’t see the name over another player until they perform an emote action, after which you’ll always see their name.
