The developers top ingame priorities

Question

Just curious if anyone knows what their main priorities for the game are?
I know they have been talking about adding a lot of features, but if you don't do all of them right then people will get tired of them relatively quickly.
Take for example all the minigames in GTA V, 99% of the players are just doing races, deathmatches and freeroam, instead of golf, tennis and armwrestling.
Although this game is supposed to appeal to heavy rpers, I feel that because of the fact that this game is stated to be a cops and robbers mmorpg at heart, their main focus should be on making the movement animation, shooting mechanics, melee combat and driving mechanics as good as possible, before adding all of those other features.
Quality always beat quantity in the long run.

Well by full release a lot of the stuff they have said would most likely be implemented. Which I think is great, and that for GTA well its not based around rp and player interaction which a lot of the players will just play in free roam or the main gamemodes. But in Identity its one type of world where people can spectate those sort of minigames which you cant spectate in GTA because they take you out of the server itself and gives a different lobby. Also when you exit the minigames in GTA you enter a new online server which is annoying and in Identity you will stay in the same server all the time, even for minigames.

True but as this is a cops and robbers mmorpg, the driving, shooting and player animation should be their top priorities.

Yeah, never even touched the GTA minigames with a ten foot pole. They always disconnect and try to find another player in your area who wants to do the same, but ends up in hours upon hours of waiting.

Identity will do everything in the same server, I think. That would let people see through all the games much quicker and could be interrupted like a real game would.

The devs have not stated that the game is a cops and robbers simulator. This is what is says on the about page:

IDENTITY IS ...

... a new breed of massively multiplayer online role-playing game where hundreds of players interact in a world of absolute freedom, where it's the actions of players which determine your fate and the fate of the world you live in.

The game is all about player interaction. Yes there are cop and robbers in the game but it is not solely a shoot em up game. Its all about socializing with others and completing activities with others. I think their main focus should be on the player interaction functions.

What exactly is Identity all about?
Identity is a cops and robbers game at heart, but it is a life simulator in so many other ways; immersion is one of our key focuses. We're catering to role-play in a way that is possibly the first of its kind. Players have the freedom to pursue careers that will impact the player economy in their own unique way. Become a taxi driver, deliver goods to player-owned businesses, fight fires, save lives, argue a case in criminal court, or just hold out your hand and beg for money. Find, or take by force, your ‘identity’!"

The first 9 words are what you think the game is, the rest is what the game is really about. Its not just about cops shooting robbers. Its about the roleplay and interaction between the cops and the robbers. This isnt a general shoot em up like GTA. Its all about how you can turn a bank heist into a great RP scenario for people to join in on.

P.S and yes i do read the website, thanks for asking

"cops and robbers game at heart" meaning it's core element is about cops and robbers.
Never said the whole game was a "cops and robbers simulator", maybe you should read my statements closely before responding.
With that said, as it's MAINLY about cops and robbers, driving and shooting will be the most important aspect of it, which is why I said they should be focusing on making the driving and shooting as good as possible.

No its just apart of it and is a main feature but really is not what its about.

Herzog has been following the game for a time so i agree with him/ I know he is right and yes it has cops & robbers at heart but its more a life simulator and the main game is about interaction and socialising with other players hense why they don't want planes because if planes were added, the player interaction would be less and same with helicopters.
