  1. There is supposedly very little AI, and those are for filling up very boring but important jobs. So I don't think pets will be added, but again they could have a plan for something like this.

Why not just have their names not show up until you fully interact with them. They'd have to grant permission for you to see their name (now you know them)

That's kind of what I was trying to say. But if not that, then they tell you their name and you kind of just nickname them that. That way, they could tell different police officers different names and such to keep their identity hidden for example.

Say you aren't on an official server, they have to do an emote or else you won't see their name? It would be cool to have to almost give them a nickname and such so they could fool cops or criminals and such if you had to trust them. Would you see their name all the time after they performed the emote?

You should be able to, he has to give the card a zip code which he can do by registering the card. There should be a website to register it in the instructions or on the back.

  5. I know this is a long shot, but hear me out. Now, almost every single game nowadays will have a players name tag above their head or something to identify them by. This isn't very realistic, and if you think of real life, there is no way to know who somebody is that you have never met. So why should that be any different for Identity? I think starting off, you shouldn't see any names above a players head. You should have to actually meet them and have them tell you their name, and at that point you can type a chat command, or maybe have a key binding to set their name. This will be a big social aspect of having to meet somebody new, and could also feed into realism by players giving you a false name, or not wanting to be identified. Let me know what you guys think. Like I said it's a long shot, but I think it could be cool. Thanks for reading.

  6. I haven't heard anything about cross-server sales. I don't think it would really be possible, or a good idea. The economy is player reliant, so I don't think it would be smart to have that. For example, imagine a huge business selling across multiple servers. They would take most of the sales away from smaller businesses and such who have just started out.

So as long we are in the outfit and using the car we are on duty?

And for an example we could walk in the cop clothes in town square to get coffee or something like that?

And how long will it last per day?

Is it as long as you want or is there a certain amount of hours you have to do every day ?

    Sorry, I was at work!

    1) It all depends on your type of work within the police force. As a detective, you may not have a uniform (but I can always be wrong). That's how it is set up to be though, you will go to your locker and get suited up and take out your cruiser and at that point you're on duty.

    2) You may have limitations on where you can go. Some work in the police force will pretty much keep you around the police department, whereas street patrolmen and such may go basically wherever. So depending on your job, you could go to the town square.

3&4) I have no idea to be completely honest. The day to night ratio is 3:1 hours in real time. The amount of time may be reliant on either your boss giving you hours, or yourself.

  8. Hello, welcome to Identity. Hope to see you around soon! Don't forget to look out for the first module coming out, it delivers a sneak peak and for you to meet some of the community in game!

  9. @Lexan There are different sizes of apartments, and because of that you can assume that they have different price points. As for a price difference due to location, I'm not 100% sure but again you could assume so. If you think of it that way, maybe one is more expensive due to being near the Town Square, rather than being out away from the cities.

Also, if you have any more questions for me, I would message them as I don't want to clutter this post since it's for questions for a Q&A. If this wasn't meant for me, I'm sorry!

  10. Yeah exactly how I feel @ItsJedi. If you can only slap on parts instantly, it will be a huge let down. Cars are going to be a big deal in this game, so the mechanic job should be in depth instead of instantly fixing/installing parts. If it's like my summer car or car mechanic simulator, then players can have different prices and such. It really needs to be a pretty detailed job, or it's just a huge let down overall.

Can you have multiple houses and rent them all? Can you give money to your friends? Can we rob playsrs cars? Also, any idea how big the game is (disc size not map ex: 60gb ish)

You may own multiple homes and rent them all, yes. You are also able to give your friends money. You are able to steal other players vehicles, but if you leave the car inactive for a while it will be returned to the owner, granted they have car insurance.

Let's say I am kidnapping someone in the game, what happens if they just leave the game and join a new server?

There is no function to stop them from leaving or anything like that. The only thing they expect to do is their character will be left on the server for a certain amount of time. It helps for players who leave during combat, but I'm not too sure what you could do if they left while you were attempting to kidnap them.

If we wanted to own a specific type of restaurant, say a steakhouse, or a bar. Could we do that? And only sell steaks? Or only sell drinks?

The choice of what is sold is up to the owner of the business. So technically speaking, you may have a specific type of restaurant.

  12. How it works is you will take your personal vehicle to the police station. You will then get dressed with your police uniform at your locker, making you "on duty". You then take out your police car and proceed to do your job. Once you're done your job, you return to the police station, get changed back into civilian clothing, and take your personal vehicle home. So to make it all short, you're off duty unless you go to the station to change clothes and take out your police car.

  13. Like @MichaelD said, gangs didn't have a real distinction when it came to clothes and such. I do however like maybe throwing up gang signs or a hand shake, although that wouldn't be that great of a thing. I believe there will most definitely be territories and such that your gang can control or fight for.
