This is actually something I suggested rather than ban gun all together. There was a point where an Army Veteran wasn't allowed to have a weapon in his home because of the gun laws in that state and I thought that was slightly unfair.

    Hello Mr. Smith

We in the police community have not had the honor to meet you nor hear you're ideas regarding safety, security, and compensation. Please send us something in the police forums I am sure you will get some hard hitting questions.

    Weapon policies:

I think that there should be no machine guns or military or S.W.A.T grade weapons out on the street. I think that to make this state safer that there shouldn't be assault rifles out on the streets. I think that there should be three categories of weapons out on the street. The first category will be under hunting. This category will have hunting rifles, pistols, and shot guns the max fps will be 900, scopes will be allowed but no silencers. The second category will be self defense which will include pistols and shotguns max fps 500, you will be allowed to shoot be fore you call the police. Last category will be pleasure guns. These guns you will only be able to shoot at shooting ranges, and you must be trained to shoot them. Extensive background checks will be preformed to buy any of these weapons. You will also have a licence to shoot any of these weapons. That means no criminal record. Butterfly knives and switch blades will be illegal.

I have an issue with this whole FPS way of thinking and here are the reason why:

9mm Pistol average FPS is 1200

5.56 or .300 (average hunting rifle) 3000 fps

    General shotgun 2200

With the FPS you mentioned I assume you have limited knowledge on weapons and the use of them. A rifle, shotgun, pistol, and even a pellet gun can be deadly with the right user. I know the developers have been looking at ballistic reports trying to make gun fighting realistic but in the end you're FPS ideas just are not realistic. Police should have the same access to guns as civilians do but the rounds they have access to should be different. As many know you have HP (Hallow point) FMJ (Full Metal jacket) HE (High Explosive), and SP (Soft point) there are tons more but these are the basics. The gun no the public should have access to but the ammo no general ammo should be soft point while police use what the police chief allows.

Moving on to SWAT and other special response units, these will be restricted weapons no one can own outside these groups. These will include your PSG1, M60, MP5A3, M240A1, etc..........

I think making you're gun laws much more basic don't try to get into FPS and all that because in reality it becomes much more complicated

  3. You're very much welcomed to live that experience as LE with us here until things are released you might learn some new techniques and her some experiences you will learn from just like we will learn from your real life experience in nursing and EMT work.

  4. @Kaitlyn to be honest I figured that since you never mentioned anything regarding that field but you're experience will still help us allot. My girlfriend has her masters in therapy and also wants to be involved with policing here in Identity.

  5. I am so glad I don't work in that field anymore to be honest. Policing in today's world is much to dangerous now of course my policing experience were mainly US Military bases and foreign countries so yeah civilian policing I am at a loss for but I could imagine its easily transferable. Seeing @Lavics79, @xVAULTxDWELLERx, @TheLegend27@GotYourSix, and @Kaitlyn, we have some experience with real life situations along with in game situations. To be honest this group could be a huge benefit to the developers and the community regarding the game play regarding policing. Also I wanted to put this out there but the governor is something we should all watch, question, and focus on who we want elected since it could make our job easier or harder. So far I have had some great talks with @BobbyCruz and he seems very flexable in regards to us and businesses. Below you will find our conversation:

Edit: @Motown maybe our ideas and talk could help.

    Hello Kracken, and Identity community,

My name is Nate and I myself am currently working as a Military Police officer. Though I haven't been in for long I've learned very key elements on enforcing the law, conducting large operations, community policing and in general how to be a great police officer. Hopefully when Identity is fully released I can join you in the police department.

    Hey Legend,

I think we will both have one issue the UCMJ lol so many crazy laws in there. Also wanted to say enjoy you're time while in brother you will love it.

    Hello Mr. Cruz,

I actually have a few more questions for yourself if you don't mind.

Would tax rates go down when spending is down?

Would you ever consider building your staff before launch so we all know who will be under power?

How would you incorporate the police and local businesses together to assist each other?

Whats the hourly pay for police?

I have seen and read you're campaign message and I really like what I have seen

  8. Hello Thomas,

I have a few questions for you along with some suggestions that you might consider, but first the questions.

In case of a huge increase of crime would private security companies be considered?

If Elected would you request a police escort?

How would you determine who becomes the police chief/would their be a vote?

What are you're views on low level drug crimes?

Also wouldn't a fluctuating tax rate be better then a solid 30%? Crime is low or down why fund the same amount? Couldn't yourself and the police chief sit down and figure out expenses which would save the tax payer money along with pay you're police better rather then spending money on gear that is not needed at that time?

    @ThomasHetch

  9. Hello all fellow officers,

I just wanted to bring up the amount of people running for political offices, who's elected really effects us including funding, gear, pay, and laws. I would love to see people running for office to come here and pitch to us along with the citizens. I know we all have very important questions and the ones running for office should come to us for their election pitch along with questions from us. As public servants our pay isn't bumped by business kick backs and such, we generally never get a bonus, and our hours are long dangerous and hard. Speak up fellow officers and let these incoming politicians know me won't be silent.

Below is an Example of what I am talking about:

  10. I love the idea to be honest but in reality and keeping things in the game realistic it just couldn't work. Police generally are not known to be extremely polite for many reasons. Now of course some are and some are not depending how the approach each situation. One idea would be though citizens could contact the department themselves to talk about the officers behavior either good or bad. But to be honest I had calls about myself saying I was very rude and angry during a traffic stop, come to find out its because they got a ticket and that made the driver view myself that way.

  11. Hello Mr. Cruz,

I want to wish you the best of luck in running for Governor and I really like that you reached out to the police force for opinions and ideas. So regarding the tax rate I think that is something that may change quarter to quarter depending on the needs of the police. When crime is down the funds being sent to the police should be lower, opposite when crime is on the rise. The chief of police should request the funds from the governor and then the conversation starts regarding whats being asked for. As for the gun control I agree with Sporan but to add strong restrictions/checks on gun shop owners because who knows guns could be sold back door at a huge profit to avoid checks.

    Just some Questions for yourself:

In case of a huge increase of crime would private security companies be considered?

If Elected would you request a police escort?

How would you determine who becomes the police chief/would their be a vote?

What are you're views on low level drug crimes?

Thank you for you're time Mr. Cruz

  12. Me personally I think the rank of detective for major crimes IE: Murder, Large robbery, and drug rings. The role of detective would be very boring when these things are not going on due to great police work done by all involved (We all have quite times right lol). So in theory a detective would accept or deny a case depending on the case report from the patrol officer. If the detective thinks the case is valuable enough to dig in further he/she can do so if not they decline and case closed. At another aspect I would like to see detectives also act as prosecutor, keep their job busy right? These are just ideas my military police experience is vastly different from civilian law enforcement so just some thoughts and ideas.
