  1. Pets

The point of these items is for people to be able to fund the development. Noone is forcing you to buy a pet in the store, however if you wish to support development you could buy a pet with real money.
  2. I can completely understand that having an ETA will ease things down a bit, all I am saying is that they havent been lying to us or anything like that. I personally think that they don't need to give an ETA because I am confident enough in them to know they will finish the first module soon. I too was disappointed by the delays but I don't let it bother me that much because I know these delays were for the better just hang in there, give them time to sort things out, with the more detailed task tracker for module 2 things will probably get better
  3. remember that they remade TS twice, I don't know if they restarted when they didn't meet the deadline in april or not but that's most likely.(nevermind, reread their dev blog of may). anyways, a couple months might seem long, but don't underestimate the time it can take to find/fix bugs, this can cause a lot of problems regarding ETA's and is probably the reason of their underestimation.
  4. they are unsure, I think I already said that, either way, you saw what happened to their previous ETA's, missing them certainly had an impact on the team, there you go, another reason. all I was saying with that previous message was don't call them on bullshit just because you don't get the information you want.
  5. I seriously don't understand what it is you want with this "honest update", they have told us what the tasks were an what the bugs in those tasks were. what else do you want them to share? what bug they fixed and how many bugs that fix caused? also a "minor delay" isn't bullshit, they underestimated what they still had to do. bottom line they didn't "bullshit us" and are transparent enough as it is. they cant interact with their community 24/7 and they cant just say anything you want them to say, you know where they stand and you know what they are working on, in my book that's enough for the community to know. you guys seem to expect way to much from their updates.
  6. Scam

So what? Buying things from the asset store wont get them further in development... and btw just because something is available for grasp in the asset store doesnt mean they have to buy it. The things they make are still unique to the things they buy We are not waiting for the assets because those of town square are done, we are waiting for bugs to be fixed. So are you really a game dev? Because it doesnt look like it
  7. This is getting silly

That's completely different, god you are arguing for the sake of arguing. It is realistic to give people the ability to move chess pieces wherever you want because you can do that in real life, as I said you can make up your own rules. guns however is a whole different thing...its not realistic to get your gun permanently jammed... a gun works in a certain way unless you modify it irl, a game works in a certain way because of its rules, game rules can easily be changed by players, how that gun works is not your choice... giving someone the ability to choose is definitely not the same as making a gun "permanently jammed".
  8. Results From Where you all stand Pt.2

I guessed you didn't try to don't worry pall ;), I just thought id warn you with your mistake, for the rest I understand what you mean tho
  9. Results From Where you all stand Pt.2

no hate but, "I know for a fact" and "probably" don't really work in a sentence. passing opinions as facts is not right next time just say, "like this the devs can just be sitting at home watching youtube."
  10. This is getting silly

did you just take the time to quote everyone? why haha
  11. This is getting silly

its how they planned it tho, and I kinda like the concept. like this you can play the game using your own rules, it gives the player a choice. if you go ahead and make the game bound to certain rules you take away the players ability to choose, if that makes sense
  12. Where do you all stand. Pt. 2

this: You might have meant it as your thoughts on it, but if you did I would suggest changing the sentence because when formulated like this it looks like a fact
  13. This is getting silly

how bout a fancy game of chess? ^^
  14. Where do you all stand. Pt. 2

doesn't seem like it looking at your accusations... seems to me like you are angry at the development and want people to ask for refunds, I don't see any other reason why you would spread false information.
  15. This is getting silly

no they are not, when you pre-order something you are sure to get the game on a certain date because it is finished/close to finished. pledging however is something you do because you support the development, pledging can be done without receiving anything really. so no, pledging and pre-ordering are completely different
  16. Where do you all stand. Pt. 2

you cant just speculate something and pass it as truth. they are taking out the last minor bugs, a bug no matter how small can be gamebreaking. read up on game development before making false accusations...
  17. This is getting silly

it does, it has a completely different meaning. pre-ordering and pledging are two different things
  18. This is getting silly

Keep in mind that you technically didnt pre-ordered identity but pledged for it. The game is still in development and delays can happen for these games. In the future, actually read up on what you are spending your money on, because if you are this impatient then maybe pledging for games isnt for you and you should wait untill these games actually release before giving them money... giving them your money now and asking for a refund later will only cause more problems because you are giving the devs money they cant even spend on development.
  19. Scam

technically they don't need to tell us something that is completely normal for concept art. However I do understand that not everyone knows what may and may not be done with concept art, id suggest you read up on concept art a little bit before asking why they used a real picture ;), I am not trying to be hateful or anything, just trying to prevent people from getting riled up over nothing
  20. What do you guys thin - is it cool...

its true that they used a real picture, however this is not wrong nor cheating... read up a bit on concept art. And how he found this out does kind of matter because if he has been looking for something to bash on the game, he would have found something regardless... a dog will always find a bone if he is eager to find one.
  21. What do you guys thin - is it cool...

I get that you are a bit shocked but let me ask you this, how did you find this out? Are you deliberatly looking for a reason to bash the game or did you just happen to stumble on the house?
  22. by the looks of it nine to five wont be in development long either, their tracker is so unrealistic and the amount of things they have promised are just not doable. identity still seems the most promising and I am staying loyal to it, all of these other games are just people trying to make some easy money by ripping off identity.
  23. Renting out apartments.

the cars you buy with real money aren't "better", you can buy the exact same car in game, the only difference being the look of the car. its called a pledge shop, they need to get their development funding's somewhere. everything you can buy in the shop you can buy in game so don't worry about everything costing real money because this is only temporarily.
  24. Opinions.

because they are pledge items... you can buy them with in-game money but they need to get their development money somewhere. so they are not ridiculous, it would be ridiculous if you wouldn't be able to buy these items in game, but you can... these cars in the store are solely sold for those who want to invest in the game so they can at least get something in return.
  25. Tracker update of 17 hours ago?

why do people keep using this as an argument? a million is nothing when it comes to game development... look up some statistics, the range can be between 15 and 150 million, does 1 million still seem a lot to you?
