I know you've mentioned features that'll only be available in the full game. But worry not, Town Square will still have plenty of features to explore. You'll be able to visit some buildings, watch movies, sing at karaoke bar, throw popcorn at others, and some of the stuff that has been already mentioned. Also there will be more stuff as they will update Town Square daily.

What about anything to make some money?

There will still be things to do like: customize character, customize apartment, go to the bar and order drinks with friends, karaoke bar, play chess with Someone, paint pictures, meet new people.  John said shortly after the release of TS they want to add in the gun range and tattoo parlor.

Also, I of course love the game and cannot wait for it to be out. I do hope that more modules are here before we know it!

  2. Hey everyone! So here is what I am trying to figure out. How big is the town square going to be? I know that it will be big enough for apartments, but will I be able to use my car? Would it even be worth it to use the car, or just walk around? Will there be a countryside for drug making, like in the trailer video? Thanks for anyone who can answer my question.

  3. Well, the fact that you bought a PC for this game shows that you are amazingly loyal to the game. But, that PC is going to do a lot more for you in the long run. Trust me. I understand what you mean about the delays, they are disappointing. But to be fair, this is going to be a very short lived delay. They make A LOT of progress in just a day.

  4. And guys, I didn't start this topic for anyone to get into a bunch of fights or argue about anything. I just wanted a question answered. Now, before everyone starts arguing again:  I am going to give you the facts. Straight from Steam. The game cannot physically be published on steam without a public coming soon page. That is a fact. Steam says it. Now, there is also a 5 day approval period. That is a fact. Whether or not they play the game, is irrelevant. There is still a 5 day approval period. Despite what someone said here, the page cannot be "invisible". Now, I agreed earlier in this post that the module may not even be released on Steam, until the full game. I really don't know. I have got no idea what the plan is. Now, I don't know exactly whether or not the module can be submitted while it still being worked on. I know that it can be "updated" in some form though. There is a website called steamdb.co, and that allows you to view all information about a game. I have seen numerous "coming soon" games be updated throughout the entire time. However, I don't really know how the system works. But bottom line fact: It's going to be at least 2 weeks and 5 business days, unless they have another plan. Those are the facts straight from steam, no one can argue  them.

WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME BOAT HERE! WE ALL WANT THE GAME!

@HAWK The game is already accepted onto steam. The store page is just hidden from the public.

@LuckyDuck Actually, that is impossible. It is a requirement that the page MUST be visible to the public for two weeks.

@HAWK Why do you think steam will play/test it? When games have launched with missing executables? Or some games that launch in another unplayable state.    These things wouldn't happen if the games were truly played before hand.

@XzothiIt is a general requirement that the game must be reviewed. Now, I don't know if they play it or not, but that is besides the point. It takes 5 business days for it to be reviewed.

So to sum all this up, there is no possible way that steam can be involved, IN ANYWAY, in the upcoming module without the 2 week "coming soon" page and a 5 day approval time.

@Citybuild122 Last time I checked, I was told the Modules will not show on steam store or even be purchasable on steam. The game will show for the full game release on steam store. However you purchase through the website and can download through steam. I will see if any changes have been made since I got told.

Oh , I see. I figured that it would be something like that as well. Awesome!

CITYBUILD122; they started off working at their homes independently. Since then, they've grown a little bit where they now have an office. I'm pretty sure most of the grunt work is still being done at their homes. They obviously want their project to do well and have some longevity. But I do see what you are saying. I'll give it about another year before; I truly call it quits.

I personally have only been here for a month. This game looks like everything I've ever wanted. My friends have known about this for years. I thought that this was going to be the actual release, but I had something in my mind to not get the founder pack. I don't know how anyone could've waited this long. I'm calling it if there is another delay.

Yikes I missed that lol. I’ll ask @Paratusand see what he knows. I’m sure has everything set up.

Olio, were you ever able to get in touch with paratus? I see that the road map is coming along well and I was wondering about the steam release.

  8. What I really want to know about this thing is, how many people are even developing this? I have seen much larger games be developed in much less time than this. And even then, this isn't even the full game! It's beta!

Again, maybe they will release it on steam when its a full game release and not just the first module?

Yes, that is a good possibility as well. That's also what I was thinking since it would only be one module. We'll see though. But, I must say that I am concerned about the release date. It's also concerning to me that they have released this progress tracker, and said that it "Gives them transparency" so we can see everything they are doing, even though it only shows broad categories.

  10. Okay, so here is the problem. They are saying that this is a minor delay, however the guidelines for steam releasing tell a different story. You have to go through a 3-5 day reviewing process to even get accepted, and then you ALSO have to have a coming soon page for 2 weeks before you can release the game. If they haven't published the coming soon page, it is AT LEAST 2 more weeks, PLUS whatever this delay is, and then of course there is the 3-5 day. So this could end up being another month, not a "Minor delay" like they have said.
