  1. I am not sure it Asylum is using a Euphoria engine, but I would assume rag-doll physics will be implemented. It has become a standard for base physics, even for sports games that normally would use base animations.

My hope is that the vehicle and damage physics are hyper real. I would love to see crashes IG similar to NGDrive

  2. Being a Survivalist is upto you bro, as, like stated, it is not available as a career path.

From what devs have told us about it sounds like there are elements one would need for survival, and you could even still follow another career path as a Survivalist (Professor of Survival Skills, Host of a Survival Show, etc)

Very cool idea tho, and I hope some characters become wicked survivalists.

  3. It will never happen unfortunately due to the fact that Cockstar would never give Asylum the rights to use Grove Street.

With that being said, LS is a parody of LA, which Asylum could very well do as well if they wanted. Cockstar hold no right to oversee the use of parody/satire, so it is free game for Asylum or any developer.

Maybe Asylum will have their own special place like Grove Street, that is more in depth for those that live and hang out there.

I keep forgetting you can you have multiple characters, 2-3 terms does seem pretty reasonable if you consider that. Though i think the first set of government should be voted still

Oh I agree completely about voting in the government!

  5. I believe a set term limit may be the best option.

What ever the length of a term in office is, perhaps only allow a max of 2-3 terms for each possible character.

Also 14 terms is a lot, considering most politics end game is Presidency or in this case, being Governor. Once in said position, it should be considered the climax of your career, because you most likely had to put in time as a local congressman and worked your way up to senator status to final get the opportunity to become Governor.

I get in the beginning we may have a set governor, who didn't need to put in the work to get there, and there may be some after our first governor to do the same. We will get to a point tho, shortly after launch, where politians actions in game will mean more than their promises in these threads and posts.

  6. @Caboose

I have mentioned this concept before regarding undercover officers in the force.

Since the career path is a linear one, and undercover so far, as far as we know, isn't available as an option.

Therefore it would need to be implemented by the players, as there is no set system.

My answer to that was for officers who are going to go undercover, would need to publicly cut any Affiliation to the police, and begin to work on their back story (maybe even spend some time in jail to further your depth in undercover). The undercover would then actually try to infiltrate their target, and discretely share any Intel with police.

The undercover would still be governed by their career, and therefore couldnt commit criminal acts, but rather work out ways to seem illegal through the aid of policing forces. When there is enough evidence, or if it gets too hot, the undercover is pulled out of his active cover and brought back into the force.

Then the sting operation would be executed or would be ended.

The only issue I see with this theory is we don't know if higher up rankings could reassign lower ones, to put that undercover back to his rightful place once he rejoins the force.

But at the same time it could be a bad thing :P

Oh it very well could be a bad thing lol. It is a consequence of being so public about our businesses tho.

Also it may spike interest due to the fact people know that the police even are watching you

Thank you for taking the time to ask some very important questions.

    To address your first point:

If I am elected, it will not be my business. In fact, if I am elected, my only business will be governing. What I should have said, is that a new national bank will be created, following the same business plan I outlined for my business except it will be run as a non-profit by a council of 12 appointed financial experts.

If I am not elected, then I will run a business based off of this plan with a for-profit model.

    As for your second point:

These plans will succeed as they are, admittedly, not original. The idea of a congress is based on the United Staes government (a system that has lasted for over 200 years) and of course banks (a system that has existed for even longer).

Thank you for your answers to my questions. I can say from your responses that I may be misreading some of you OP.

How would you regulate this possible National Bank if I may ask? I understand the board of 12, but will there be stipulations or restrictions on what the board could do, or propose for the economy?

It's easy. You just put economics before business

I get one can do that, but to the public it would still be seen as a conflict of interest, and a possible avenue of corruption for the establish governing body in power.

How could the public fully trust their governor when that same governor not only owns the banking establishment, but governs the banking establishment?

Trust could never be fully established between the government and the citizens in a situation like this.

  10. You can manufacture your own clothing, however you will need the resources and tools to do so.

As for Trade Marked, Copy Righted, and Patented Brands probably won't be allowed to be used in game, due to the fact Asylum could be held liable, which, if sued, would kill this game...

It doesn't matter how YouTube see copyrighted material, this is a video game from a independent developer. YouTube has a legal team on retainer for any copyright issues, however I doubt Asylum has a legal team, meaning if sued, it is on the development team.

As for Painting/Drawing, again you will need the resources and tools to do so. It is unconfirmed if you can paint on any substance in game, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. Possible vandalism would be cool

  11. This is seriously still a topic of discussion?

What true purpose would an alien easter egg serve? It isn't like Asylum has referenced aliens before, which is normally how easter eggs are established.

For example, most aliens in GTA V, are an easter egg to the aliens in GTA SA, which was an easter egg for the geography they created in GTA SA (Due to the fact Las Venturas is a mix of Nevada and New Mexico)

An alien easter egg wouldn't fit Identity due to multiple reasons; Geography, Content, Focus Of Game, etc.

Perhaps other conspiracy based easter eggs regarding Illuminati or a Secret Government,  but I doubt Aliens.

i wasnt trying to be a jackass. i was just saying there could always be someone who will think of something to get around anything.

There is many ways to think outside the limitations of the game, it is true. However you must take into consideration how the game will operate in order to properly think beyond its limitations.

I would suggest reading everything you can regarding how vigilantism and corruption are to be implemented into the game, if they are. After finding out if it is even possible, then perhas start drawing out your ideas.

    Just a thought friend

  13. From what Devs have stated there will be detectives in Identity. From what has been discussed there will be a evidence style system in order to add a unique experience to the role.

We don't really know the depth of detail in how a crimescene will be, or how detailed the detective role will be, we just know it does exist.

    Identity2.jpg.0ff7a899e8a24d5c77c6f492aaHi,

I am a 25 years old graphics and UX designer from Sweden and i am looking for a cartel or a biker gang who are need for a cook. Doesn't really mater if its coke, meth, extacy or designer drugs. Ever since i watcher Breaking Bad i have wanted to make my own drugs in a van and create chaos. I will of course also help out with the development of the cartels website, logotypes and anything else i can come up with.

Hey brother, you concept for your character and the path you wish to take them is very interesting. I think it could be very fun too depending on how serious you become about the drug game and the drugs you produce.

I run a motorcycle club known as Feared N Fearless MC and we are always looking to expand our businesses with new ventures and opportunities.

In order to avoid any prying eyes on the forum, I will PM you regarding your business and your ability.

  15. Air travel, from what Devs have stated on it,  isn't available in game. Therefore it safe to assume spaceships and space travel will not be added.

Identity has no Planes or consumer air travel within it, due to the fact that it would make the Island feel small. So to avoid any issue like that, the Devs opted to not add any air tavel.

From what has been gathered, police may have air support, but there is no consumer air travel, and probably will never have space travel.
