Even in the full game you wont be able to rent out pledged apartments, that is using the rent system of course, but you can always make a verbal contract with someone and rent it like that

This is asylums first real game, it is normal that they will run into some problems at the start, however they are learning out of those problems and their mistakes. uhm that's not really why they are handing out the steam keys in batches. Also the server that this website is hosted on is not the same as the servers that will run the game... Because the issue was resolved and there was nothing else useful to add to this thread. Yeah... but every other game on steam has a functional store page. There is a big difference between a game still being added to steam and a game that is already available on steam. Beside that, you have never been able to get a refund of a game that was activated using a key...

you must have known that development can take up some time before you pledged no? I hope this is common knowledge to everyone... don't pledge if you know that you are gonna back out once its taking some time because that is what development tends to do, a game isn't made on a year time... if you have concerns beforehand, wait before you pledge. But pledging and then asking for a refund can get a project into trouble. also, its not the map making that takes up most of the time behind a project, the thing that takes time is the programming behind it, getting all systems into place and all that. so the size of the map shouldn't really matter that much...

I kind of agree with both you and the topic creator on this one, it is true that you get to complain about certain things. However there are people who are asking for refunds once it gets delayed, and to those it does apply that they need to take their time before pledging because complaining is one thing but asking for a refund on the slightest delay is another. also there are people who have said they committed crimes . My opinion on all of this is, you have some concerns, voice them, that's all fine. You like the idea behind the project, debate whether you will pledge or not. But once you do pledge, don't give up on them at the slightest delay. and if you do ask for a refund and its not given to you right away, don't go spreading lies about asylum.

Link your steam account, on the same page where you linked your steam account your key will appear... there is no lack of information around this, there are literally instructions on the forums

Idk if you realise but the key gives you access to "identity town square" not "identity" so when he is talking about a game key its quite obvious he means ts...

did u not read the post? this is what we can thank them for ^ it isn't just about what is available to us... they have put a lot of time and effort in their idea and they have accomplished a lot since they started, definitely for a development team with little to no experience. You can perfectly thank someone for their effort even though you yourself don't have anything playable. next time, read the goddamn post and you might get your information without needing to ask for it... and don't even bother to reply with "we cant thank them because we don't have anything to thank for" because that is your opinion... you don't want to thank the team, that is fine by me, but don't complain about the fact that others are thanking them. and don't tell them there is nothing to thank them for...

your point isn't right everywhere, town square isn't a whole city, its the town "Square", also cars wont be a part of the first module. I get what ur point is though, just try looking up a bit before posting

The other modules have a big chance to be completed sooner, i mean they did remake this first module twice XD. If they dont have huge bumps like this in future development these other modules should turn up rather quick in comparison.

This has nothing to do with asking kindly or not talking to me, you were spreading false information by calling the creator of this topic a liar... you should know by now that the date upon someone joined the forum says nothing about when he pledged or for how long he has been waiting... maybe if you remember that I wont need to quote you anymore. there are a couple things wrong with your comment, you lach out at me because you worked hard for your money? well guess what so did I but that doesn't matter, you cant demand everything you want, pledging into an idea doesn't mean you buy your way into the company it shows you support the idea and the developers behind it. and you calling us pledgers "powerful" shows that you for one are abusing that power. calling their footage "not gameplay" is not holding someone accountable... again, answer my question, WHAT MORE CAN THEY SHOW. this is the third time i asked this and you don't seem to come up with an answer, and you know what? I think I know why, you don't know the answer do you. you simply demand demand demand and once someone points out that they cant simply show more you just change subjects, just admit that there is nothing else for them to show, is it that hard?

it is gameplay nonetheless, there is no use in speaking of "accepting it as gameplay" it IS gameplay, who are you to say it isn't? a pledger? because that doesn't just give you the right to demand to see more from these gameplays. so answer my question, what else could they have shown us? a movie in the cinema? singing some karaoke? playing some chess? accept it, these are things that the player needs to explore for himself and don't belong in a gameplay video.

gameplay: the features of a video game, such as its plot and the way it is played, as distinct from the graphics and sound effects. you don't just decide what is/isn't gameplay, it is literally in the name GAME PLAY. did they show off the graphics? check did they play the game? check what other features do you want them to show from TS? ts is a social module, there is nothing else to show... just showing of everything woud mean there is no point exploring TS yourself... they played the game and showed it off --> gameplay

But its not invalid as i already pointed out. You cant just assume someones pledge date using the date he joined the forums.

He could have bought it sooner though, the forum account and the account where you pledge are seperate, one does not need a forum account to pledge. So he could have been with is sooner than displayed on his forum account if you get what i am saying

I don't know if you realize, but this is a ROLEPLAY game, if you are bothered by trolls then don't play on public servers but rather on private ones. if you limit the amount of things you can do then whats the point in having a roleplay game. what they can do is that you have the option while using a board to turn chess on/off so you still have a choice in what you want to play, but the element of choice needs to be in the game nonetheless. and you don't know the statistics, this game will attract other roleplayers at first, meaning no trolls.
