One of the biggest things I'm looking forward to is house customization. However, if I can't buy a house if I'm only a founder, I don't see a point. The game page says "If you've pledged to Identity's development and received an apartment or penthouse, you'll be able to explore all of its features. From decorating to furnishing, see what you can do with custom housing. Make your home your own or invite friends to join you."

So if you're a founder, all you can do is walk around and talk?

You'll have access to some buildings in Town Square like the Cinema, Karaoke bar, an apartment to mess around (yes they'll give you a small one if you don't get one from the pledge rewards), you can do shoplifting and test out the security feature (no you won't get busted in the case of the first module). They'll also add more features as they push more updates so that way, it keeps us entertained for some time.

I heard that you need to pay to able to enter the cinema.. Like real life money to pay to unlock the cinema.

You may need to revise your source of information sir. That is entirely false information I'm afraid to say. The only things you'll be able to buy with real life money are some cosmetic elements when they'll be made available, and possible some DLC too. As you may know, right now you can only buy pledge packages on the store page of Identity.

How will the servers work will we need to start a new character and start from scratch when we enter different servers or will the servers remember our charactors and all the things we have and earned what's happening with this please

LuckyDuck pretty much nailed the explanation, but I'll add one point. Any progress and inventory will stay in the server you play. If you work hard and earn $100k on server 1, you cannot transfer that to other servers.

So the people who payed for a car on the current shop, it's liable to be stolen and you can't get it back?

The car will eventually be brought back to the owner's garage. You can steal it but you cannot change the ownership of the stolen car.

if you forget your veh unlock, they can steal it,i think this is what BB told me.

Anyone can get inside a car that has not been unlocked. But you have to start the car without the keys. Windows cannot be shattered, but they can have small bullet holes.

  5. The people had very high expectations, but I certainly agree there's things that need to be worked on. For example, I remember the community manager saying something like everything seems to be on track, then next day, John says in the developer blog that he'll delay for an extra month. But yeah, John is a perfectionist guy, he doesn't want players to have game breaking experience on Town Square.

  6. Hey @Rizzoli and welcome!

You can always come into the Discord server at https://discord.gg/identityrpg and discuss any ideas in there. If you see Beach_Ball online, don't hesitate to "@" him, but please don't spam him of course.

In terms of work, you can always apply at careers@asylumentertainment.ca and send your resume (and portfolio if you have one).

If you have any questions concerning the game, don't hesitate to ask in the Discord or direct message me in there.

But perks like that make sense. If you train in real life you get better at doing the thing you trained for, like running. You run around a lot, you run for longer / faster.

Sleeping and training are two separate things. They may or may not add temporary buffs (or remove negative ones) for sleeping. At the moment, there's not much information and it can be subject to change at any time.

so she can be a police stripper?

Not exactly xD he/she can't be both at the very same time. When you go to the police department, you "log in" and you're on duty until you "log off" in there. If you're off duty, then you're a civilian (or you can try to be criminal). You can do a bunch of other things, like you can do mining for a certain time, then you can do logging, or you can simply free roam. Possibilities are huge, just saying.

  9. The game will already feature a driver's license which you'll have to pass a small test (nothing absurdly hard) in order to be able to legally drive cars. Some corporations will be able to buy cars and buses in order to transport people.

And oh wow, that would be funny but neat to add the Kombi bus.

  10. As far as I know, police is a career, while most of other things you can do are jobs. You'll be able to do anything that is legal, but if you do anything illegal and get busted (sent to prison), say bye to your police career for a certain period of time.

i think this can happen in privates.

Won't happen (for now). You'd need some mods and modding support won't happen right on release, but that's if and only if they will include it. At this time, they might consider it...

  12. Hey, even John is upset about delaying Town Square. But it means less stress for some developers (while some others are working on some other stuff of course). They could have easily released it in the original due date, but it would have been tight, and they wouldn't have had the time to do all the stuff they wanted to do. So what if they released it in the due date, and the module had some bugs and game breaking issues? That would leave a bad impression... So I'd prefer to wait an extra month if it actually means much more polishing. But if they delay it one more time... how long am I going to wait until I could even taste the first module?

With any of the modern game development it is a potential for a cash scam.. If you get money regardless of a product being finished and have no group of investors expecting their money back then there is no pressure on these developers.. It could go on FOREVER!  So there's that.. Not say this game is such a thing but overall as long as they receiving income for it, it really doesn't matter if they release something or not..  On top of that it's going to be an MMO which means they're going to charge all sorts of money for trivial virtual shit... I'm following because it's interesting and it could be good, but depending on how this develops.. if they don't releases something April... I only have so much time on this planet.. so... Waiting on these game is a waste of time.

With any project, lack of lawyers, no board of investors, not contact... no obligation to produce or have a good reason for not meeting deadlines... They could drag it on forever...  Investment scams.. BUT in this case they get the benefit of the doubt because they have bee showing a lot of work they have done...  BUT just because they have a working version with their equipment doesn't mean they could ever release a working version for current gaming machines..  Is everything they're doing nothing more than a ruse to bait more investors?  It's a lot of What if.

I will say the amount of detail they have put into modeling, texturing, shading and lighting  is very impressive, it is a marvel.

What you think is all up to you. Whether you want to invest or not, or think this is a potential scam or not. Asylum could partner with a publisher, but decided not to do so because those tend to dictate things out. They want to have freedom and work at their own pace. I still think this project is true at this time and I've already invested a lot to support the developers. I think John (and or Sean) have talked a few times concerning people who are still skeptical about the project.

  14. You will not be able to operate helicopters and airplanes in this game for multiple reasons. They don't want you to miss out opportunities to meet other players on the ground, and such air vehicles would give too much of an advantage to some players. The only thing that they might plan is an AI controlled plane to fly in future DLC maps.

  15. It will be considerably harder to steal police cars. You cannot steal anybody's clothes at all. Police guns won't drop either to avoid easy exploits. And as far as ticketing others goes, you can only do it when you're an actual police officer on duty and if someone was flagged for an offence.

  16. I just want to point out something about the characters you can have. Yes you can have 3 characters, but it's not necessary. Also, those characters you'll create on an official server is set to be usable across all official servers but it's subject to change. What happens in one server will stay in one server though. Keep in mind you cannot transfer money or anything you've modified or earned in one server to another. Also pledge rewards will be on one character only, which you'll have the option to claim it (or leave it unclaimed). To give a better example, I create Bob and claim the apartment only, then I create John, I'll be able to claim the other pledge rewards except the apartment.

i know that you can join a corporation and Drive A semi truck but is it possible to actually own the entire Corporation that hires the drivers and staff the warehouses and work with vendors

You can create a corporation. You'll also have your own company phone number, and of course if you have the money, you'll be able to buy some assets and buildings. The deliveries will likely be in form of contracts/tasks, similarly to Euro Truck Simulator 2.
