  1. Here's a tip, don't give a date if you're going to keep delaying. Can you really blame people for being pissed at this point? I sure as hell don't. We all knew this would happen anyway because it seems to be a recurring theme. You guys make a big announcement that things are going great to get everyone's hopes up and then when it comes close to release date oh look conveniently there's a setback like always. Hate to say it paratus but I can't be surprised if people start to think we're being strung along. Twice you guys have said this is being released on such and such date and twice you've retracted it less than 5 days before expected date arrives. To all of us that seems like you guys are just throwing dates out there and then extending it. The last time you delayed this you said everything was almost done and that you only needed an extra month yet now you've delayed this once again and this time there isn't even a valid reason. Suspicious is the first thing we're all thinking sorry but it's a fair and valid statement

Call me crazy if you want but I am still having faith on the game.

You guys should realise that it is still as close to release than it ever was in the past and just understand that the reason of the multiple delays is for our own experience to be better for the money we paid.

Yes I agree that we have been kept in the dark but now @Motown has reported to keep us informed with the development which hopefully he will.

The team working on this huge project is small and their also building their own foundation so I completely trust them.

Well well well looks who's been proven wrong ?? I'm sorry what was it you were saying earlier? I called this delay knowing it would happen and you tried making out I was turning people against this game, well looks like I wasn't the only one expecting this ?????

There's a delay again sorry guys.

Oh what a fucking shocker ?? at this point I'm not even surprised we all knew this would happen yet again, GG asylum entertainment.

Not long until we get the usual statement apologising for the delay and that asylum is committed to keeping us up to date blah blah blah the usual stuff. I called it on several posts that this would happen and look who's fucking right once again ?? somebody go tell polygamer Because I want to see what he has to say now that he's just been proven wrong ??

You guys have to remember its a town square release, not at all a finished game. Its more of a 'have a preview at the style of our game'.

You guys need to respect the depth this game is going to offer, patience is a virtue.  B|

Most people here have been patient for 3 years, this is the devs all over. Making promises about keeping us more informed then doing nothing. Making promises about giving us a trailer and new website then nothing. It took them three years to show us a 2 minute clip of busting a meth lab, that could have been done by a script kiddie in two weeks. We're fed up of being left in the dark and then being told sorry we're delaying it again. We're not asking for a miracle we're asking that the devs get on and keep to their word. Town square trailer and website should have been done by now and the fact it's 3 days before the supposed due launch date tells me they're going to drop us in shit Monday first thing

It is not 23rd yet is it..

I think you should take your negativity and go have a break..return back to the forums on monday please

Or how about sit down, shut up and let the man speak his mind like everyone else is entitled to? If you don't like his opinion why don't you go take a break and come back Monday?

not hyped at all...just waiting for another delay and then ask for a refund.

Don't be surprised if others follow you, was hyped for a long while but now it seems they're just taking the piss out of people, we've not actually seen any solid gameplay footage and for it to take 3 years just to get a 2 minute clip of busting a meth lab I think is frankly piss poor

  7. If you guys hype this up too much and it gets delayed again it'll be on yourselves. They've said nothing about the new website launch or town square trailer and yet both things were supposed to happen before launch. They'll give the same excuse and tell us once again they'll be more transparent with what's happening and give us more media which once again won't happen just like now

everyone has been making very valid points, but I believe they are working hard. I was watching jade's stream last night and he was doing little important touch ups with the apartments, so it looks more natural and sending it to another developer (dont know who) and putting it into the engine - communicating to each other so everything looks perfect at release.

They are definitely working hard and I believe that they are almost there. I have no choice but to worry like everyone else. We are just days before before release date and I can't help but feel like another delay is coming. There has been no official word on anything and everyone is getting a little unsettled about it. They promised to keep us in the loop and be more transparent but we're more in the dark than ever. No one knows anything regarding to the TS trailer, not even the developers. Which worries me even more! There has been no word on the progress of the website - everyone is just assuming things now.

This is the time for the identity team to restore their crippling reputation. Everyone is getting too hyped for the 23rd and if there were to be another delay, they would lose a lot of respect and gain a lot of hate. There would be no trust or hope, everyone will be sceptical in the future.

     I am very much worried.

The only reason they released the gameplay footage of the meth lab is because people were getting pissed off and kept demanding something. If we have to keep getting on their case about things they keep saying time and time again that they'll give us then what's the point? They keep saying we'll be more transparent, we'll give you more media and everything else yet so far we've seen nothing, no town square trailer no new website nothing and that makes me think they're going to have another convenient delay that will be over nothing. They've had more than enough time, get on and show us the game already. It amazes me how they're happy to take people's money but yet it takes forever to release a 2 minute video, module trailer, new website and said module Itself ??

  9. Calling it now that it gets to one day left and they delay it like every other time, there's four days left and they still haven't released the town square trailer or launched the new website which in my eyes is a big red flag, I've had a lot of faith in the devs but if they delay this again I'm going to start losing trust in them

  10. I honestly for real swear to God if it gets delayed again I'm going to be pissed, they've had every opportunity to polish this and fix things and I really don't want another inconvenience that just happens to show up a day before release. They've had more than enough time to polish things and they need to get on and release this, if shit goes wrong during town square they can work on fixing it while we play. I got nothing against the devs but there's only so many times you can delay something to fix and polish it before people start getting irate

I'd be fine with things like write a book, paint a painting or pull off a heist etc, those are things that are more than achievable, hell at a push become a celebrity as that's a lot more realistic than get elected but it's still somewhat luck based.

Other possible achievements are things like hunt so many deer/ animals or Catch so many fish etc though I hate grinding trophies just as much as luck based ones, if they're going to add achievements make them realistic and challenging but not ridiculously hard to the point very few people get them.

  12. If they're going to add achievements that's fine but nothing ridiculous like being elected governor, it's unlikely that most people will ever get elected, it needs to be simple things with a fair few challenging ones but nothing that's completely luck based like with the elder scrolls online for example, the emperor trophy for that game is absolutely ridiculous.

    Hello, all

Will the game feature achievements on steam when it is released or in the near future?

It's highly unlikely there'll be achievements untill the full game releases however I wouldn't be surprised if they include things you can unlock for participating in the modules and beta that can't be unlocked once the full game comes out

Im really worried if the servers will be able to handle the amount of people and how much lag there will be

I would assume that devs have thought of this in advanced, I'll be shocked if they haven't. There's going to be a fair few servers I think and I'm pretty sure it'll be 50 people per server, also bearing in mind this isn't anywhere near the full game so it's not like everyone's going to be using it non stop, they'll try it out and when they get everything out of it they'll do something else

In terms of when the game comes out the first model on 23/4/18 ...
    * Opening a player
    And what next?

One would assume you'll create your character, then you'll explore the town square and during your exploration whether it's testing out housing or experiencing all that's available you'll meet other players and you'll be able to swap in game contact details and presumably add each other on steam, it's basically the ability to do everything that's available within town square I.e. socialising, grabbing a bite to eat with friends, going to the cinema etc so on and so forth

We had a new date in March's Dev Blog and so it didn't matter that we didn't get one in this one and also, that just creates more hype which there is so much of still from the other ones. Be patient, we already have the date 23rd April which is in a week on Monday coming. As far as we know, everything is on track for Monday 23rd April. The new website will launch either this coming week or with the modules release. I am sure we will see the town square trailer before the release of the module. Don't worry an lets get to the release.

Yeah let's just hope that it goes as smoothly as possible, everyone will be up in arms if it gets delayed again, they've had enough time to polish and everything should be in order, I have faith in the devs and I hope this launch goes successfully

  17. Only things I'm worried about are driving ( eventually obviously ), in game economy and jobs because if it's anything like real life it'll be difficult to get a job. RDMing worries me despite the fact the devs are trying to put a system in place, I don't want to walk down the street thinking what if I get jumped every five seconds because first thing every player wants to do is Rob everyone they come across

No reference was made to a release date, in the last dev blog because they are on track.  I truly believe TS will come out on time.  Beach Ball has already gotten to go in and create his character, so obviously TS is practically ready, the devs are just finishing it all up.

Agreed, if beach ball has gotten access to that town square is definitely ready

That moment you realize when your laptop that is less than 2cm wide can outperform my full sized in my office RIP

Don't worry about it, I'm using a windows 10 laptop that can run GTA V and Arma III on minimum requirements ??

  20. I know nothing about PC specs specifically, all I'm going off of is the whole if your PC can run GTA v, arma III and something else on minimum requirements then you should be able to run identity, I don't know if that's changed but I'm crossing my fingers

working on a game IS making 3d models, and you saw part of the game in the video, you think this just randomly appeared?

a lot of people are concerned because we haven'y actually seen any solid game play of walking around the town square and such, sure anyone could slap together a video of a guy parking up at a house and killing a dude but it doesn't mean it's actual progress, i myself however believe the devs are working hard and have good intentions but the constant delays don't help and people are getting paranoid about it

eh two sides of the same coin really, by this stage with all the hyping the devs have done and how much progress they claim to have made, this game shouldn't flop or fail. that is if the devs get it released at all with the amount of delays that happen ( yeah yeah delays happen before everyone jumps on that bandwagon ). i do agree that the devs deserved to be criticized but only when necessary, blindly praising people and a company never works out favorably

Be patient if you want the game to have a good launch and not die out in a week.

what i want is for the devs to not have to keep pushing back, yeah things happen but when you announce that town square is ready for release with a 1% chance of needing to be pushed back it does get somewhat annoying when by magic it gets pushed back

  24. 3 hours ago, Discorded said:

Lol they delayed to April, this is why people think this shit is a scam. Stop pushing the fucking release back, holy shit. We keep having to wait and wait for the new release dates and right before it hits "oh unfortunately we have to delay but we will post more media" bullshit. They should already be posting as much as possible. I don't know how anyone could not lose faith in this game and refund this is just sad.ill be in a retirement home before TS is out

To be honest i'm quite annoyed at this, yeah yeah we get it the devs are a small team we've heard it all before, now i recognize the devs are hard workers, really they are and they've done a good job so far, but the constant push backs and delays are starting to annoy even the most patient people which is including myself, when you announce that you're 99% certain that it will release with no problems and only has a 1% chance of needing more time and then by some chance it needs pushing back, people are going to start getting a bit pissed and frankly i can't say i blame some people. some of the things we've had release have taken god knows how long and now all we want is to play town square, i'm not making demands nor am i asking for it right here and now, i'm simply asking that the devs don't make announcements about things unless they're absolutely certain because a lot of people are feeling like it's not happening. i believe this game will be a success which is why i pledged and committed myself to it but for heavens sake asylum entertainment please stop with the push backs INB4 every single defender gives me the usual i'd rather have a polished game that takes ages to release yadda yadda
