I already told you the reasons why they left and this is not up for discussion, there is nothing suspicious going on, and them leaving was for their own personal reasons. Dont make something else out of all this...

beachball, Motown and cyber left all because of a valid reason, this had nothing to do with what you are implying. beachballs contract ended, cyber moved back to the states and Motown also left because of reasons outside of the one you are implying. they all left on good terms.

People will be able to rent servers and change some options for their rented server, but there wont be the ability to host your own server.

The developers had already stated that the first module would be just a social module and that it would be quite small. Everything they promised for the first module has been implemented, they even added more things than promised so people would enjoy themselves a bit more in game.

I understand that you might have given up all hope but the developers are still working hard on updates and the upcoming module, there is a video coming up soon that will showcase bullet penetration and such.

I am aware of the dev blog... "and can now say with fair confidence" this right here is a key thing in that sentence, this implies that it is an estimate, yes they were confident that it would be ready but not 100% certain, therefor its not a due date.

I think some people might be confusing topics with one another, i can asure you that we arent hiding anyones comments that arent breaking any rules, 4thdesign hasnt even left any other comments on this topic but the one, i am pretty sure he confused this topic with another one. Yes, this is taking some time to be released to the public but game development isn't as easy as everyone here seems to think, there is a lot of trial and error, testing, retesting, fixing bugs, testing again, etc... it might take some time but that doesnt mean they aren't working hard well first of all, adding things like a "small economy" is something they didn't initially plan for town square, yet they are adding it because they are listening to the public. if you would read up on what the town square would be then you would know that it was going to be very basic, and you agreed to this development process by funding it. second of all its a highly modified engine, not the basic unreal engine you might be used to. this is a fairly small team, this is a team consisting of programmers, art directors, etc, everyone of these people has their own separate job, a large team usually consists of a couple hundred people. they never really had a due date until the actual release date of town square, all of those other dates were estimates and shouldn't be considered as deadlines. The finish line may not be in sight but we are going to get there, and you will get what you paid for. this isn't just a "shop" its a way of crowdfunding, by paying for a virtual item you are pledging money to the project, this is the only real reason these virtual things are being soled. it is no secret that a project like this needs money and this is where they get it from, after all this is a project funded by people. in the end everything that is sold in this store can be bought with in-game currency as well, the biggest difference being that the store bought item will have a unique layout/skin. All of these furniture types had nothing to do with how long it took to develop the game, after all its the 3d artists that do the modeling and the programmers that do the programming. like I have said before, game development isn't as easy as it is made out to be, there is a new problem lurking around every corner in the form of a bug or an unsupported system, and sadly these problems slow down development time. whether the meth system worked at that point or not doesnt really matter, it was a trailer to give everyone an idea of how these things could work/play out. in the end the developers are still working on the game, and with every passing day we are getting closer and closer to the final release. the devs have really showed that they can pull this off by making the decision of adding extra content to town square, like growing weed, and in the future a small economy. yeah sure, it will take a bit of time, but don't lose hope.

a developer would probably give you the same answer as Lightbringer did. they are doing what they promised, they are working with modules, even adapting the modules to make it more enjoyable. while the original plan was to introduce economy in the beta, they are working on implementing it in town square. this shows us that the developers do listen to the community and try to adapt. it was long before said that the module wouldn't be grand like light pointed out and just because its small now doesnt mean that it wont be finished. I understand that you are frustrated by the time it is taking but don't lose hope, the developers are still working on the game and they want this to be completed just as much as any one of us does.

as of now the budget is still fine so they wouldn't need the money from a bigger studio. the problem with a bigger company funding you is that almost all the decisions are in the hands of that company, and that isn't always a good thing

if you want to fix a bug you first need to be able to replicate it, sometimes a certain bug can be triggered by many different things. so when they fix a certain trigger that leads to that bug its still possible for other triggers to be in the game. sometimes by adding new stuff old bugs can pop up again as well, its nothing new for a development studio to try and fix the same bug a couple times. things like growing weed are put in the game so that the players can do something new and get a basic feeling for how this will work in the future. they havent added new clothes anymore, all the clothes that are available in the shop have been available since release so I don't really know what you are trying to imply here? for the furniture however, the two things that got added were to grow/dry your marijuana. despite the marijuana growing the developers are also working on the shooting range. if you mean that trailer where the cops drove to that meth lab, they scrapped the driving because it wasn't good enough and are going to rework it. While there are a lot of people with doubts the developers are still working on the game, remember that this isn't just our dream game, but theirs too. all I can suggest now is to focus on other things until another content update comes out, and of course to always stay positive

that wasn't my point, and moderators aren't payed staff they are volunteers. my point is that the funds are fine right now, either you take this as official information, or you don't. but there is no point in arguing about it... all I am trying to say here is that you should probably take the word of a moderator above the word of someone on the forums spreading false information.

its just a bug some people are experiencing, the servers aren't full/dpwn,

click on where your name is displayed at the top right, click on account settings and click on signature, fill in whatever you wanna display under a comment, that should do the trick

I am sorry you feel that way but we delivered exactly what was advertised. We have been open about what the social module was going to be and that this wasn't going to be the full game, that's not a scam.

I wasn't talking about that last question, you were already advertising other games, without mentioning anything specific, before the person in question asked what he needed to keep watch on. I even quoted when you advertised. please don't argue about this as it wont help, we warned you for advertising, just listen to the warning and keep it in mind for the next time.

This is considered advertising, the creator of the topic asked if we could get live updates and you referred him to other games, this is not an answer to the initial suggestion he gave.

its quite possible, some people I know, me included, have also had some issues with steam regarding downloads not showing, or games that get updated without actually having an update
