I've had to explain this more than I should have already because of the video posted above. Claims made there, aside from the fact that I'm the director of both corporations, are simply not true.

Phony Games is a mobile game producer, hence the punny name (ie: phone-y). Furballs began as a small project I'd work in on my off time. It took a while to create because I'd only work on it a few hours a week as Identity was my full-time project. To continue it's development faster, Phony was established. Furballs has had about a dozen people work on it, including artists. None of them, not a single one, had any involvement with Identity. They are two ENTIRELY different companies with entirely different people behind them. Furballs was funded out of my own personal pocket.

The email is worded as it is because, well, it's entirely accurate. Phony and Furballs exist without Identity, and the email has nothing to do with its development or release. Phony is a new company and has little reach publicly on it's own. Asylum, on the other hand, can reach out to hundreds of thousands of people. Thus, it makes sense to have Asylum help publish for Phony as it has and will continue to do far outside of the single email sent. In return for this added value, Phony will be providing a royalty to Asylum and Identity; this will happen with or without Kickstarter funding.

Phony gains access to marketing and publishing services, and in return provides royalty income. It's quite simple and an extremely common practice.

At the end of the day i believe the developer. John insists that its got nothing to do with Identity then fine. Im all good for having more than one company. A developer is only as good as his community. We gotta support them with this as i have for many years. Im sure that john means every word of it. He just doesnt come on here any more because people are belittling him. Im sure that John knows full well that if Identity gets fucked then its gonna be a shit storm. Ive tried my best at making games (Never successful but just testing) and there is nothing wrong with going back to something old. Just because you dont like the idea of having a game like Furballs (no offence but i aint a mobile fan) and im sure a high percentage doesnt either there is still a percentage and we can all spread the word. Theres i dont know how many people on here but its a lot. Just gotta hope that it helps our way up in Identity. If it doesnt im sure John will continue with the help of the community. Also btw John, the new idea behind updated (a gradual, linear update system) is great. you should have done it before.

Keep up the good work John. Prove em all wrong. End of the day, you are trying. Everyone else have copied and failed. We still waiting for Identity by dude, but no one else has come close. So take your time. ;)

  2. I must say. I am a little disappointed. All of the waiting and ive still not managed to get a lick of gameplay from this. Ive been waiting so long for this day to come and hoped that the game would be ready to go. Its just such a shame to see so much money, time and effort go into this. I would have at least hoped i could browse the menu without it breaking.

Despite my honest opinion. Im still rooting for the devs. If they are gonna make their dream come true, they will do it in due time.

Keep up the good work guys and please try to fix this xD im dying to play over here.

Id like to see Armenian and Russian Mafia as well. As well as mexican type gangs in the way they conduct themselve is what I'm interested in. I might go crim in game but as of now Im leaning private bussiness.

I believe there already is a Russian Mafia on here if you dig far enough. Whether its still active i am unsure of.

  5. Me and two of my buddies run a meetup and racing group called the Midnight Chasers. If you are interested you can find our post in the hideout section or I can post a link. We have some good ideas set up for this group and much like you want we have our own steam group and teamspeak server

  6. I smoke cigars, cigarettes, pipe, vape and do snuff but i doubt they would add in all of that. If anything, well see an action like in GTA just to smoke a cigarette. Although its an 18 game, i dont think its their top priority to promote this sort of stuff but then again you never really know. Well just have to wait and see

I honestly find it odd that many "pro-sex" gamers have never heard of Ron Jeremy's attempt at GTA...I call Bullshit you had to look that up. Lol

Not to burst your concept of "freedom" but Roleplaying Sex with minors isn't in my wheelhouse.

This entire concept would break the immersion in the RP,  want Sex in a game where you can be a criminal too, go play Bonetown.

    *searches up Bonetown*

  10. Citizen only entitles you to the full release of the game on steam at a discounted price. The founder gives you that and also the beta before the games release and access to all 3 modules that are set to release this year/early next year

Modules info can be found here: http://www.identityrpg.com/info/modules/

  11. I for one am really liking the sounds of this and im glad the devs have come back positive with it. As long as the rewards are not game changing and are things like apartment decoration or rare items like clothing then i can see this working. It will give the community something worth going out referring members for and will also help out the devs financially in turn. Dont forget, the more people we get now, the more people we have when the game releases.

  12. Then again, nothing can be stopped. If they plan to allow mods to be created for the game there are bound to be things added that werent originally planned. I mean have a look at the sims for example. No nudity or visual sexual interactions and yet, a couple of mods later and youve just had a sex ed lesson. The same can be said for games such as skyrim. All it takes is a reskin and some animations.

Just curious. What's everyone doing while they wait for Identity to release? Personally, I've been working on my fitness. Jogging, squatting, push-ups, etc; So far I'd say it's going well.

Occasionally I try to play on Life Studios or Project Life. I just find it hard to get in the right mood, especially when I don't know anyone around and I'm too much of an introverted loser to overcome my general anxiety and socialize with anyone. Maybe we can form like a gang? Not like an actual gang, but a group of hardcore role-players who might maybe get together on a ArmA 3 role-play server and show them how it's done? I mean, that's what I'd like to do and what better place than to reach out to an enthusiastic role-play community anxious to be a part of some serious shit.

I mean, that's just me. What about you? Also is anyone interested in forming this "gang" per say?

to be honest, i have just been continuing with day to day life. Go to college, go to work, play video games. I have recently go back into playing Altis Life again after a very long break and im thoroughly enjoying it. Away from RP, ive been playing a lot of battlefield 1 and single player games.
