  1. Pam looks over at the two guys talking, a guitar between them. She notices one of them staring at her, his eyes stealing glances at her, smoking as she does. She smiles weakly, and gives a small wave, her fingers shaking as she does. She looks over and sees a pretty red haired girl flipping through her mail. Inhaling her cigarette, Pam admires how well put together she looks. She looks back at the two guys, one with his hat backwards playing his guitar. She had seen him around before, but these other two were new. She ashed her cigarette onto her bank statement, almost as red as her eyes, before crumbling it up and tossing it over towards the waste basket, hitting the girl's shoe. She looked away quickly, a burst of laughter, her eyes meeting the man with the sunglasses.

  2. Pamela woke up to the sound of her alarm clock. She rolled over sluggishly, her mind a haze. In a swift impulsive swipe, she knocked the electronic clock onto the floor, cracking the screen and breaking it. She sat up, her frayed blonde hair a mess, dark black roots coming in. She rubbed her eyes, mascara caked on from days past. Sitting up, she threw on someone's shirt, a man who left it there who knows how long ago, and some sweatpants.

It had been three months since Moe died, and three months since the diner closed down. It was obvious she was in denial, she still had her alarm set for work. She didn't bother going to the funeral, instead she went out and got high, which is what she had been doing for the past three months in a bender only someone with a tolerance like her could survive.

She slumped down the stairs of her building, shuffling over to the mailbox. She clicked her key in, taking a few tries to open it due to her drug induced haze, still coming down from last night's high. The envelopes seemed to pour out. They were mostly bills. Past due utilities, angry threats from the landlord, credit card bills that she didn't even remember. She flipped through to find her unemployment check, it still hadn't come in yet. She was screwed. She needed a job, or some money, or the power was going out in her place. She sat there and lit up a cigarette in the lobby, walking over and sitting on the stairs, flipping through the bills wondering how she was going to get by. She wished Moe had left her the diner, she thought a lot about her life as she became more and more lucid, and now more than ever could use a drink, or some drugs.

  3. Pam wakes up to the ringing of her phone. "Pam, Mary didn't come in, I'm stuck with the breakfast rush!" her frantic inexperienced co-worker told her. Sighing, Pam agreed to come in early. She rolled out of bed, stinking of booze, hungover as hell, and got dressed, walking down the steps in her apartment building and out onto the gritty street.

As she walked, she heard the noise coming from the rowdy pub on the corner of her block. "Damn, it's not even noon yet" Pam said, laughing to herself as she ironically took a sip from her flask of vodka. She made her way down to the diner, walking in at the peak of the morning buzz. Starla, her co-worker, was running around with trays, her eyes darting around. Pam jumped into work mode, her buzz killing her hangover as she threw a few mints in her mouth to cover the stench.

  4. *Pam smiles as she holds the napkin with the phone number, then pushes it into her apron pocket*

"So, are you going to stay here? It's not a big deal if I close the diner, but I don't want to leave you here." Pam asks considerably.

*She downs a swig of Jack, then offers it to Shenji*

  5. 6 minutes ago, ShenjiNagasaki said:

"Yes, Inagawa-Kai to be exact. Don't worry, I don't plan on being violent. We're not all blood thirsty Asians."

*He sits down at the counter and continues to talk to Pam.*

"Do you know why they were here?"

Pam blows out a cloud of smoke as she fishes for her stash of Jack Daniel's

"I'm not sure. There was a fire last night at a little Italian bakery down the street, I saw some men run in there. Then these three showed up threatening to do the same to this place! My guess is they're correlated."

  6. 4 minutes ago, ShenjiNagasaki said:

"No, the Yakuza and MC's are usually very friendly. I just don't believe that violence towards innocent people is good. These men were bottom of the bunch."

*Shenji picks up the gun from the floor, takes out the clip and pops out the bullet in the chamber.*

    "Are you okay?"

Pam sighs and puts the gun back in its usual place. She lights up a cigarette.

"Yeah, I'm okay, they didn't hurt me or anything." She explains as she exhales. She reacts suddenly. "Wait so you're with the yakuza?" she says blowing out smoke.

  7. 19 minutes ago, ShenjiNagasaki said:

*As Shenji walks in he sees the bikers standing there.*

    "Hello, gentleman."

*He approaches them like he doesn't see the gun.*

    "Beautiful day out isn't it?"

*He quickly stabs the one with the gun in the arm, making him drop the gun. He then kicks the left one in the side of the knee breaking his leg. Then he hits the right one in the nose.*

"Can I get a soda please?"

*He asks the lady behind the counter.*

Pam stares in shock at what she witnesses.  She keeps the gun in her hand hidden under the register.

"Who the hell are you?" She asks, freaked out about what she just witnessed. "You in a rival gang of theirs or something?"

  8. Pam smokes a cigarette as she locks up the diner for the night, turning off the neon and closing the door, she smells smoke. "What the hell?" She says to herself as she sees a glowing light and billowing smoke around the corner. She turns the corner to see the old italian bakery up in flames. "Jesus Christ!" She screams, running to a payphone to dial 911, she sees a car pull up and two or three mobsters run in and she hears gunshots. Pam runs in the opposite direction, realizing she just witnessed some sort of mob affair.

She wakes up the next morning and heads into work. "Mary, you won't believe what I saw last night..." Pam begins to explain. May glares at me. "Shut up! Don't say anything to anyone!" She whispers nervously. Pam shuts up real quick and changes shifts. The lunch crowd dies down, and it's just Pam alone working when three bikers come in.

"Hey hun, what's for eating?" The biggest one says, grinning maliciously. Pam smiles nervously, "Dinner hasn't started yet, but we have a mean eggs in a basket," She chirps. The biker growls, "I was thinking something hotter, like what I had at the bakery last night." Pam's eyes widen. "Now why don't you go ahead and get me the cash in the register, and maybe you can go home," he threatens. Pam walks over to the register, trying to quietly grab the gun under it.

  9. Moe's Diner, on the corner of 6th and DuPont Ave.

    new-york-city-at-night-diner-noir-john-r

Ol' Moe opened this place with brother, way back when this neighborhood was strictly "Italian-Only". That was a long time ago, back when the Mob owned these blocks. They've since cleared out, now we mostly cater to bikers off the interstate, some Yakuza thugs occasionally frequent the place, they run the docks two blocks over. Moe is an old man now, he mostly sleeps in his one bedroom upstairs, so it's up to the girls to handle most of the work.

Gus is the cook, he's Moe's grandson. He's a pervy kid, not more than 18 really. Always oggling us while we work, but hey, at least we don't have to cook. I've been here almost a year and I'm already the closing girl. It's a good gig, gives me money for my "hobbies,". My name's Pam, if you don't see me here, I'm out being bad. Mary's usually here in the mornings with Lacey, and Starla and Darienne work with me, although they're usually just gossiping or flirting, little tramps those two. Leah's the new girl, she's a sweetie, don't know how she ended up in this neighborhood.

We don't really have a manager per se, although there's Dennis, he's a piece of work. He's the son of an old friend of Moe's, after Moe's brother got shot by a gangbanger this guy, Ed I think, he was there. So now Dennis is the "manager," although he never shows up, only to steal food, harass us, and try to sleep with us on the regular. He's a coke fiend, usually reeks of sweat, and has some two-bit hooker on his arm when he comes in. And then there's his "friends," big scary tatted-up guys, coming in here looking for him and the money he owes them. That's always fun.

Anyway, the coffee is always fresh here, and we make a mean breakfast platter here. The burger's are pretty good here too, and my pies are to die for. Don't order the french toast, that egg wash is not fresh, trust me. Also, the jukebox usually doesn't work, give it a kick or two and you're golden. And don't you think about trying to case the joint, I got a .45 glock under the register, and honey I know how to use it!

  10. *Pam leaves the diner with her uniform in her hand. She's wearing a white tank top with a large black shirt that drapes off the shoulders and ripped jeans*

*Pam throws her uniform in her car and walks over to Henry, lighting up a cigarette from her bag*

"So, where are we going tonight?" She asks him

  11. *Pam looks over to see Henry getting into his car as she exhales her joint. She flashes a smile as he leaves, then finishes her joint*

*She heads back into work, feeling a good buzz from the joint, as she serves people with a big smile, reeking of weed.*

  12. *Pam leans back against the diner wall, crossing her arms, holding her cigarette*

"Well I'm working here late, but sure come swing by around 10" Pam shrugs, hoping that this guy will pay for the drinks

*Pam's boss walks by, glaring at her. She rolls her eyes and puts her cigarette out in the ashtray*

"Well, I'mg going out for my break. You boys enjoy your lunch, call over Lynn if you need anything while I'm gone," Pam explains, pointing over to the older waitress serving a customer in a booth.

*Pam heads over to the back door and exits, leaning against the wall and pulling out a spliff, lighting it up and inhaling deeply, then ghosting it

  13. *Pam takes the $20 bill and puts it down her shirt*

"Thanks hun, club sandwich coming right up" Pam chirps with a smile.

*Pam turns to the kitchen and places the order. Now I have some money for a pint of vodka later she thinks to herself, smoking her cigarette and waiting for the sandwich. The cook presents it quickly and she takes it placing it in front of Henry*

"Here ya go," Pam says with a smile, blowing her smoke away from Henry's face, feeling her hangover start to kick in.

  14. *Pam leans over and puffs her cigarette from the match*

"Well thank you sir," Pam responds politely, exhaling. "And that pipe? Not sure if the boss would like it, but hell if I care," she adds apathetically.

*Pam bends down to grab a packet of English Breakfast tea, placing it in a mug and pouring hot water over it. She turns to the man in the hoodie.*

"You don't need my number, just come here I basically live here," she laughs, coughing a bit. "Black coffee, one sec." She responds with a smile.

*Pam turns around to grab the coffee pot, pouring it into the mug.*

"You guys don't seem like my usuals in here. We get a lot of bikers and rougher guys." Pam says with a smirk as she hands the coffee to the man.

  15. *Pam walks behind the counter, looking over a the man with the hoodie over his head.*

"Welcome to Moe's, what can I get ya?" She asked, rubbing her bloodshot eyes a bit.

*She pulls a cigarette out of her pack in her shirt pocket, and pats around herself looking for her lighter*

  16. *Pam wakes up in the back seat of her beat up '78 Chevy Nova. She looks in the rear view mirror, her hair and make-up a mess*

"What the fuck? Where am I?"

*Pam looks around, noticing her car parked in an abandoned lot in the shady part of town. Her car is littered with empty bottles of booze, cigarette butts, and reeks of booze, weed, and smoke*

"Damn, must've gone on a helluva bender. Better get to work"

*Pam jjumps into the front seat, starts the car, and drives to work. Fishing in the back of the car, she finds her dirty waitress uniform and throws it on, spraying perfume to barely cover the smell of partying. She shuffles into work, sunglasses hiding her blooshot eyes.*

"Hey Mary, how's it going?" Pam greets her co-worker.

"Where the hell have you been? You've missed work for two weeks!" Mary yelled

"Relax, I'm here now," Pam explains away, lighting a cigarette.

"You missed it! Some thugs came in and held us all hostage!" Mary screams. "I gave a guy a note, and he stabbed the guy and ran off! It was insane!" Mary explained excitedly.

"Sounds it," Pam exhales a cloud of smoke.

*Mary leaves and Pam starts her shift, taking orders and giving food to customers, still feeling fucked up from her two week bender*

  17. Pam walked back into the kitchen, and began getting back to work, taking orders and such. She smelled cigarette smoke in the diner, so she looked over and saw Luca smoking inside the diner. It was just her and Mary in today, so Pam didn't really care, plus she didn't feel like ordering a mafioso around. Hearing the men talk about cars made Pam think about the Harley she's been saving up for, and how badly she wanted it.

  18. I would love casual boho clothing to be in the game, kimonos, bell bottoms, rompers, off the shoulder t-shirts, etc. Also I really hope that they have a ton of customization for tattoos! And a good selection of dresses, with different cuts and styles would also be great.beautiful-boho-fashion-girl-Favim.com-26

Also I just love this hair! Lots of different choices for hair color, like highlights, roots, ombres, would be awesome!

  19. Pam exhaled a cloud of smoke, "Africa? I don't think that's my place, but thanks." Pam said with a laugh. "No, I think I'm staying on the island for a while." Pam added, putting out her cigarette. "Besides, I wouldn't want to get eaten by a lion or something." Pam joked, retying her hair back into a neater bun.

  20. Pam chuckles a bit at Michael's flattery. "Well, a girl's got to put money on the table," Pam sighed, taking another drag. "I'm a morning person so it works out," Pam explained. "I'm a bit of a wanderer really, just found myself here one day." Pam continued, looking out to the city. She turned back to Michael. "What's a guy with your getup doing at a diner anyway? Shouldn't you be out taming the wilderness?" Pam asked, raising an eyebrow.
