  1. I have to disagree. Putting a gang / business out there before the game is released gives a chance to begin the recruitment phase early. It also gives us a chance to see the competition and get a little taste of RP before the game is even out.

As for your other complaint, that nobody can truly say they're any better than any of their competition, I'd have to disagree again. Without naming any names, I can look at a group's forum entry and get a good idea of how successful they'll be. If a group's entry is poorly-constructed, barely legible, and very vague, you can usually bet they won't go very far - if they're even around by the time Identity is released.

I mean I'm sure we could make servers that are like that. Have realistic jail times. You commit murder you spend like a few months irl time and make a name for yourself.

I like the idea of longer jail sentences, but months seems a little excessive to me. If murder got you a week in prison, I could see that working. It would bring some good roleplay as well. Imprisoned mob bosses would have to appoint an acting boss to handle their affairs, just like in real life. It would definitely hurt the family/gang/organisation, and thus give law enforcement an incentive to take down OC figures.

G'day guys, my names Fidelis and or Jackson. I'm an Aussie from down under and ready to bring identity my thunder ;)

Any other aussie fellas 'round here?

    Cheers guys!

    Welcome. Fellow Australian here.

    What're your plans for Identity?

  4. 1) Just about anything you can think of. Police, paramedics and firefighters. If you have the capital you can start a business of your choosing. You could become a lone criminal or even join a crime family. It'd just be easier for you to name a job and me tell you whether or not it'll be in the game.

    2) Yes, there will be community servers.

    3) According to Motown, the island will be approximately 225 square kilometers, with a few islands around the coast. I doubt you'll be able to swim out to see, so invisible barriers shouldn't be a problem.

    4) Nope.

    5) No TS3 integration, as far as I know. You can use either voice or text chat in-game.

    6) I'd assume you'll be able to break into cars. As for houses and apartments, no.

Why is there no explosives? That seems kind of odd.

It wouldn't be very realistic if people had easy access to explosives (or sniper rifles, for that matter), so they aren't being included in the game. It's much better the way they have it - only handguns are easily accessible.

    Thanks Mate,

At this stage I plan on either getting a job as a medic (real life volunteer paramedic)

    Or joining a crime family.

At the risk of being heavy-handed or obvious, I'm your man if you decide the medical field isn't your cup of tea.

  7. I would hate for Identity to have an NPC who buys up all your drugs. One of the thing which hurts so many other games is the lack of a proper drug market, so if Identity had one that would really help roleplay on both the OC side and the consumer side of things.

That said, they need to have enough advantages to serve as an incentive for people to use them, without being overpowered to the point where everybody is always on drugs. It's a balancing act.

Either way, I'd love to see this implemented.

Alright, I thought you were just being a dick in your own topic but now I can see you're a lonely little cuck who has nothing better to do than to insult people on this site. I want you to leave if you can't say anything nice. There are way too many people like you on this site. So kindly, fuck, off.

If anybody here is being unreasonable, it's you. He's perfectly entitled to his opinion, and it's one that I happen to agree with. Do you really want a horde of 14 year old (or worse, 12 year old) cops running around, not roleplaying at all, ruining the server for everybody?

Ideally, staff would impose an age limit of 18 years old on the Police Force. But, that probably won't happen.

I spelt it the American way instead of the Sicilian way as this is based in a American City.

A concierge is a hotel employee. The Italian word 'consigliere' translates roughly into english as 'advisor', so that's probably what you're looking for. Either way, interesting gang. Which server will you be operating on - US, UK, or AU?
