Inheritance System

Recommended Posts

I think when a character dies, then that character is completely dead. everything they have worked for would be gone. now here is the catch!!!! if a player gets married and then has kids, the kids would be just ai. When a player who has children dies, if they want they can continue their empire or where they left off through an inheritance system. once the father dies, players then play as one of their children (they can pick). the child then grows up (through a sped up time system) so that the child inherits their father's stuff.

Another way a player can reclaim their business is a buy back system in which they completely make a new character and have a week to build up enough money to participate in an auction.

Another way a person can win back their business or wealth is by playing in a tournament mini games win back what was lost. this would be so that someone has a better chance at getting their wealth back due to it being hard to raise enough money to win an auction.

These suggestions are so that it makes sense when a character dies. However it creates a way for players to regain what was lost so that way if they die by some random jerk who just wanted to ruin someone's progress in the game, then there is a great chance they can get that fortune back.

Anyways! just some suggestions that will probably not make it to the game but an opening for future games of this sort!!!

No AI or even AI kids although you can have your friend Role Play as your kid but the guy would be an adult.

Well this totally defeats the object of NLR - New Life Rule, when you die, you do not remember anything from your past life.

good suggestions for another game that's not based on RP and the first set of suggestions were ok, if there was anything like kids and such but sadly not for very good reasons.

I know they said no ai. but that doesn't mean they can't change their minds for something like this. having a kid would be like saving progress in a game. it would not defeat the purpose of role play because you still role play as a character. it just allows for a realistic take on death but allows the player to continue their empire as a different character. as far as the new life rule thing if I understand you correctly then it is okay if you as a real person remember stuff from the previous character. that is where role play comes in. if you truly play this game like it is supposed to be played, then you can pretend that you don't remember the "previous life".
