  1. Not only will it mean players will get sick of it and leave after continuously losing stuff, rebuilding, losing etc etc but also the minute you get unfairly killed then you've lost everything for no reason. Edit: Although you should definitely lose weapons that you have on you when killed.
  2. Will there be mansions like this? "pic"

Agreed that there should possibly be an upper-class area in the map with some big houses and a hand full of mansions. Possibly some nice villas down at the beach side that's intended on being in the map?? Obviously these should be really expensive and out of reach for everyone starting out.
  3. Rep System, job roles?

Not quite sure if I understand what you mean but police applicants would probably go through some sort of written test and need to have a clean record I would imagine? Anyone could be a criminal or an employer in reality though so I don't think there's any need for stats. If anything, we should steer clear of stats to make it more realistic and give everyone a balanced playing field.
  4. Everyone making businesses

Just a quick question. I appreciate that everyone is hyped for the game and wants to prepare as much as possible but for all of you guys making businesses, how do you know you're going to be able to afford to open it? Surely at the beginning everyone is going to be broke and doing scripted jobs in order to then pay to open up businesses and at that point we'll know what we can and can't actually have?
  5. Buying in-game money?

Apartments can be sold to other players though so that's not a good idea surely?
  6. No OOC

I gather what you're saying but in all honesty OOC is a necessity for certain situations. The most basic example of this is when someone thinks you've metagammed and they immediately PM you, which then gives you the opportunity to quickly clarify how you knew something etc. Of course, the appropriate action would be to report that person on the forums but if there's no OOC at all then you can bet your ass there will be a tonne more reports that's unnecessary and wasting admin time.
  7. How do you envision hardcore role-play?

On another RP game / server I played on you can get up to around 9 hours in-game play. There was a jail for petty crimes which was around max 60mins. Then anything above that for the more serious crimes you went to a high facility prison. The idea around it was that there was enough RP in the prison itself that it made it interesting. If you're going for that idea then you need to make sure that prison guards are around and are letting the prisoners into the yard etc and that there'll be enough people to interact with. If you don't have everything in place then what you get instead is people AFKing for hours which isn't ideal.
  8. Hello all!

Hey everyone, Only came across this game yesterday when my friend linked me up, was surprised I hadn't heard of it before and spent the next few hours watching the video over and over before trawling through the threads on here. Like many others on here I've did my roleplay on GTA SAMP on the Los Santos Roleplay server which is probably the most detailed and most popular roleplay server. Started playing there when it was first created (Which I think is 9 years now?) and find myself still on there now. Have mostly RP'd in Italian-American mafias, for those of you that might know the server I had leading roles in Fiumano and Trovatelli. Also been with Valenti and now Bellantonio Organised Crime Group. For some time I've always said it'd be good if they were able to replicate what they had there on to GTA IV or V but apparently it wasn't possible script-wise so I'm pretty excited to see this game with up to date graphics, based around roleplay. My only concern is the microphone stuff rather than it being text-based as I can imagine that can become a bit of a joke but I see it's already used on ARMA so I might be proven wrong with that and will need to try it. Anyway this post turned out longer than anticipated so I look forward to seeing upcoming development of the game and how it progesses Levy.
