Streaming on an iPad and implementing a system where players can pay $10 to watch a live stream in a virtual world are two different things. Like I said, having the "evict" vote would generate so much bullcrap. It could be abused, and people could lose $10. Also, in the full game, the actual amount of people who would pay 10 real dollars to watch a football game in a virtual world that they could watch for way less in real life would be so slim that the time it would take for the developers to create a system like this would not even be worth the effort.

It is a cool idea, but the cost in effort would severely outweigh the actual enjoyment this system would generate.

I'm talking about adding features to this game to bring in millions of players like Runescape. The value of getting an at game experience with fellow alumni/fans is well worth the fee. Apples to Oranges compared to sitting on your couch watching alone.  My tech friends could develop this in a week, it would be very easy to do. Instead of booting trolls with three votes each person could just have a mute person option.

  2. To draw in millions of players in the USA, cut a deal with the Power 5 NCAA broadcast partners to live stream games at a special town theater screen. Players will pay $10 (real cash via a pay now button) to enter, half goes to Identity, half to the broadcasters. A search for "Ohio State "will tell you when to show up to see the game with other Ohio State fans!!!  A search for "Alabama" will do the same etc. It will be like a virtual tail gate party!!  All fans must agree that if they enter as a troll it only takes three votes by others in the theater to evict you with no refund.

Eventually you can build stadiums and sell out a 300 person section at the 50 yard line or half court line. The game can be time delayed and virtually recreated in 3D!

No new tasks have been added.

They are half way finished with the listed tasks and no new tasks have been put up. (bugs have gone up one but those must be added) They eliminated one from gameplay though.

Just take a chill pill and wait. You should be happy still because the task bars are looking more and more green everyday. You have to understand that this is a big game. The module itself is pretty big. So just think about ti. Now I understand the website part. But coming from me... who has training in HTML/CSS/JAVASCRIPT it isn't hard to make a website. But since that they are adding a lot of features and many more things to do on the website it makes it take longer to be built. But stay happy and content with the [progress that is being made and I can't wait to see you in the town hall.

I agree, the tracker is moving along very nicely. The few weird doom and gloomers are just trolls.

yeah well that's your opinion, I think now a lot of people are getting to the point where people are just loosing hope about this game ever launching. think the town square is suppose to have very base mechanics, no money, no jobs, no cars. just apartments, decorating and talking to people. and they've been doing that for 3 years and had 3 delays, I see where people are coming from on the idea that if that basic stuff takes 3 years how long is it going to take for the full game?

After the first release things will speed up, that's the nature of software development. Plus I think less is more this close to launch. Let us enjoy the surprise of how it all feels instead of giving us a detailed video this far in.

  6. I have $500.00 into this game and joined over a year ago. I don't care if it takes two months or another year to launch as long as it's like nothing else ever ever done before. If you like playing tired games that have been beaten to death feel free to leave. I'm here for making history and being a founder.

The stress system works difrently i belive.
If you are minding your buisniss and some mugger pulls a gun on you.
The mugger will have much higher stress to begin with.

At least thats how i understood it in one of the Twitch clips
Furthermore there are different areas that have different stress factors comes in to play.
So you wont have the same stress of the bat and in the case OP described you can kill him.
But your stress will go up as soon as you pull a gun\ fire.

I understand the stress system. But by adding high end, middle and low end zones that tweak the stress system a more realistic real life crime map can be created.

I understand the stress system. But the tweak I suggest will create a more realistic world like crime map by discouraging crime in high end areas.

I have given this idea some thought, and if I understand what you are saying correctly, I think this idea can be tweaked to become a challenge for the governor!

I don't know much about how crime works in Identity, so don't take this too seriously. My idea is that if a criminal commits a robbery, it should cause property damage to the city. These property damages would be payed for by the government. The amount lost in damages would increase the longer law enforcement takes to arrive at the scene. Now, here's where the criminal map idea comes in.

"Nice" areas can be robbed just like "bad" areas, but they cause more property damage per minute (or whatever unit of time). Keep in mind that the government has to pay for these losses themselves.  In bad areas, property damage would be less. This prompts law enforcement to respond quicker to nice area crimes. Why? Because if the government loses more money (which would occur with going to bad area crimes reported first over nice area ones) their funding could be cut. The governor has to find out a good way to split up law enforcement efficiency for different places, to minimize damage and maximize satisfaction.

Now, this whole thing makes a lot of assumptions, so take it lightly :).

My concept will dissuade players from attacking individuals in a nice (low crime) area by allowing a greater advantage to the defender via the announced "stress" system. Giving the defender a chance to knock out the attacker with one return punch.  The goal is to create a realistic non homogeneous crime map, just like real life.  This can be done by the developer of the game by creating zones that benefit a defender and his property, zones that have no alteration at all and even zones that benefit an attacker or criminal. You might even create a no attack zone to represent extremely well protected assets.  This will allow players to not be constantly  troll attacked if they stick to safe areas. Perhaps there is a fee involved if you don't spend a certain amount of time outside such zones.

  10. Please add a tweak to your system. Create zones that magnify stress extremely high for the instigator in nice areas that would be unrealistic places to be attacked in the real world. At the same time don't raise stress very high for the defender when he defends himself with non deadly force in the nice areas/ low crime zones. -(One punch knock out?)   This system will create a more realistic crime map that matches real world. There are wealthy areas with very little to no crime and other zones with very high crime. Plus players that don't want to be messed with in that way can stick to the good areas as they would in real life while also getting a jazz when they take a trip to the bad areas where crime is more likely to happen.

  11. For players like myself with a spare room to rent:

Please allow for a simple contract negotiation between two players where an amount is entered and a time frame is established. Have the amount directly transferred from the renters account into the landlords account on the first of every month.  Failure to pay due to lack of funds would activate an eviction option that gives the lessee 30 days time to find a hotel or other place to move. This will encourage people to strive to get that extra room!

    Great idea!

What happens when your alias gets out? Can you get a new one?

May people tell about your aliases?

Once your Alias Identity gets out you have to wait for "X" amount of time (I suggest 2 month) before you can make a new card. BUT your old Alias names will be put on the back of your card (up to 20 of them) not everyone will be able to flip your card over. Only people who have leveled up to a high skill set will be able to do that. Your real Identity can never be changed, only your Alias card. But changing your Alias card provides you the same cover of course.

  14. Everyone should get an Alias card that the news can report. Example: The newspaper can report 'Black Magic' Strikes Again! Largest Heist This Year! Then only friends or gang members can be in the know about who "Black Magic' is. When you go to clubs you can use your Alias Identity. You can post ads in the paper with your Alias Identity and have people meet at your second home etc. Finding out someones real identity then becomes a major part of the game!

Your Alias card would be dropped at the scene of every crime as well and detectives can always click the door of a business/car empty parking spot etc. after a crime to see the alias of the thief. If it was a gang heist the gang leaders card would be left. This will allow players to focus on clues from multiple crime scenes all tied to one person or gang entity. With this system it will be more fun/practical doing meaningful detective work in my opinion.
