GTA money is easily got, and this game will have it a lot harder than that. You could be earning $20 for every in-game hour and right now that would be for every 10 minutes real life time is 1 hour in game. So you will get $120 for 1 real life hour with $20 as the hourly rate as an example. So if you 3 hours then you will make $360 in game. If you want to earn more than $1k then you need to work 9 hours real time to get $1080 in game. That to me is going to be hard enough to make / earn a lot of money. So for every 45 hours real time you will earn a total of $5400 if you earn $20 per in game hour. Ok, so at a $20 rate, if you want a car you will need roughly $30,000 and so to earn $32,400 you need to work for 270 hours real time.

if its difficult to make money will there be loans? like to purchase a house or car or something. i know there will be apartments to rent but if its anything like real like ( or close to) its always better to pay a mortgage then pay rent

  2. if a game like GTA has to rename the cars and they are very popular, than i cant imagine Identity would get the rights for free to use them. its all about lining a rich corporate guys pockets and free isn't  in their vocabulary, that's why GTA has a car that you'd say " that's totally a viper, but its called a banshee or something"

Yo does your friend know ETA for the 1st module?

Negative, and even if he did i wouldn't want him to tell me since i have a big mouth. and i like knowing the progress to much to jeopardize that lol

No you cannot refund. Your "pledge" is like a donation. Think of it like Minecraft. You get extra perms when you donate. They don't HAVE to give you those perms because it's a DONATION. Not a payment. You aren't "buying" the game, you're pledging/donating. This reason is also why a lot of people do not like Indie Developers. That have been a few occasions where the developers took the money and dipped out. But in the long run $30 isn't much and they've shown progress so I doubt they will not continue.

Even though it says donation when you "buy it" ( and i didn't like that at all especially getting the VIP packages, but i have no self control) they have been offering refunds. however once the town square comes out i believe they said they will stop doing that . so if you are having second thoughts on getting the game in fear of scam i would just ask for one now and just buy the game when it releases , but i have a friend that talks to the devs occasionally and they sound ambitious asf so i went ahead with the 500$ package.

I don't think it will be out this month. It took them 3 months or so to get from 76% to 89% complete. But now it seems that they have a dedicated programmer and by that it should be quicker maybe by mid June?

from what Ive been told they are pretty much done with the town square , they just need to test it out and make sure all works as planned before they can go ahead and release it. I'm still predicting 2 weeks , and that's also what I'm hearing to.

holy Shi* you bought the vip

this is the issue with in game spending. i have no fucking will power to say no. Archeage had so many things you could get for real cash that by the end of it, i had nearly spent 1500$ without realizing it. don't get me wrong i had lots of fun and many hours into the game, however for this game, the 500$ is the only thing i am letting myself spend lol, so go big or go home. also I'm Canadian so that 500$ USD turned into 750$ pretty damn quick :S

    Hello,

I posted a screenshot on the thread from the first link but another guy typed it out, which you can find on the second link.

Gorgeous, that's the one i was looking for was the actual screen shot version, i seen that post on the dev update but was just the copy and paste version.

    thanks friend!

  8. a little while ago the devs made an announcement over email regarding some of the updates of the game and such. this only went to people who have purchased a pack or was part of the kickstarter, i purchased my pack however after that email went through. i waited to see if maybe they would post it on the forums but it appears they will not.

so my question is, can someone post that email they received here, i seen someone had shared it somewhere but i cant remember on what random post that was and I'd like to actually take a read at that email. I'm dying for any little update even if its from that email , some small sign of life.

    Thanks

dont call me dumb you mother fucker

be careful, you might want to be a little more respectful of others, as well read a little more, he said the question was dumb. to some that could be a dumb question and to others maybe not, but it is true to do a little research in game development and servers. identity wants people to own homes and condos, for them to build 10,000+ homes and apartments would just be impossible and to render own individual homes with furniture. you cant compare something of that magnitude against a game like World of Warcraft that just has a massive map, some cities and mobs. its also quite low graphics compared to this.

again, be a little more respectful.

Guys i've been following this game for a while and pledged 50 bucks but I was wondering how people are getting tags like, "Mugger, Executive, etc."

that is based off comments / likes, those aren't tags for pledging to the game they don't have those here.

There are no undercover cops in Identity

He isn't really asking per say if there are any undercover cops , but more asking if there would be anything in terms of special departments, maybe a drug enforcement agency or crime prevention.

You can't really pay to win this game. If you pledge the $500 thats completely up to you. (Not that I'd suggest it, as in the grand scheme of things $4,000 probably will be close to nothing seeing as the economy will be based off the U.S. prices.)

Anyways, it'd get you started maybe, and if you play it smart, you could get that $4,000 to turn into $40,000 or even $400,000 in a few months. But other than that theres really no pay-to-win in this game. After you pledge you can't buy anymore cash.

only reason i got the 500$ pack was for the apartment that i can rent a room out for, and the race car. the cash will help furnish that apartment I'm sure or at least hoping. so decent advantage for sure.

dude can you run it only sees if you can download the game not run also it does not tells you about your internet connection

internet connection has nothing to do with your computer specs but everything to do with your provider. that has nothing to do with your original post. if you want to know if your internet can run it maybe provide some up and down speeds so we can see.also it shows the min specs to run it and you can download a program that will tell you if you can run it and how well, if you meet min specs than obviously you can run it.

so what is your internet provider speeds since now that seems to be a concern of yours as well

    i dont have those games

    https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri

go on the website and see if you can run Arma 3 on your computer. they don't have specs so anyone who is asking wont really get a definitive answer until the Devs make an official post. as of now the only answer anyone ever has gotten is if you can run Arma 3 and GTA V , than you will be able to run this ( just maybe a little lower settings)

I did not say the module is a beta I said, "The beta or BETTER KNOWN as 'modules'" Also 1-2 months is a 100% that the first module ALPHA while come out.

it does come off as saying its a Beta. that's why when i made my reply i made sure to say that Modules are Alpha, they are not Betas better known as modules, they are Alpha better known as modules.the original poster seems that his first language is not English with the way he posted and that's alright, but if that's the case we cant confuse him with minor wording.

Just out of curiosity does anyone have any further information on how character walking/running animations will work? Hopefully not all animations will be the same/identical. The way someone walks/moves/positions themselves can tell you a lot about someone's character/personality.

i would assume that they would at least have different walking animations for male or female, however i cant imagine they would go to much in depth for the Alpha, but could be wrong. from the video i seen the walking is pretty generic but there's always room for improvement.

What is the expected release date of Identity?
A game as detailed as Identity takes a lot of time and work to produce. We expect the first module, Town Square, to be available in early 2017.

seems like you answered your own question, Alpha module will be early 2017. keep reading around and they mention that Beta for full game would be 2018, also this would be the wrong area to post this , take a look at the forum rules for more info
