    it also would be good for those who want to play older or younger characters and characters of the opposite sex. I mean it will be obvious that your using it probably but will help with the immersion I guess.

    I don't even look for a dedicated text server. I just don't talk. I write. No one is required to read my text though, to the same extent I'm not required to talk.

    There's people in real life who cannot talk, right? Isn't this a roleplay? Well, that's my role.

    I play at nights. I have kids nearby I don't want to disturb. It *never* has stopped me from having fun online.

    So, one more in the OP list here.

    That is great. I know I have quite a few people from Second Life Role plays that are interested too. I remember WOW and SWTOR roleplayers too who would fit on one text server. So, here is hoping it is a possibility.

    Thank you.  There will be more than one server and the thread isn't dead it's gotten off track because it has been taken of topic to some needless debate. Thank you for bringing it back in line.

    Seriously, if you  are not interested in text roleplay, why not just not write in this one little thread. There are people who are interested in it. That's what I am looking to identify. If this doesn't interest you move on FFS. Really, no loss to me.

    Hello O'le chap and Welcome to the identity community!

    1. There is a text option

    2. Official servers will all be mainly mic but text is optional. 

    3. Private servers however could be made text only!

    What do you look forward to most about Identity?

    As an RP'er, I won't be RP'ing on this game unless they A) include voice changing (even if it would mean allowing MODS to do so) or B) having optional access to a text-based chat for the sole purpose of Roleplay.

    I think there are quite a few people who feel like you do Shay so I would like to gage interest of people willing to be part of a written word server. I also know the level of immersion that the written (well typed) word brings and I hope it could be accommodated in this game. Please, if you are a written roleplayer would you please come forward to support a written server.

    Hello,

    I have been involved in a number of written role play communities. Mostly on Second Life, but also on boards and some on games like SWTOR and WOW. I love to right and feel that the story can be best communicated in the written word. Well at least depth of story. For that reason, and because my nunnery does not allow me to voice chat I would be interested in playing in a paragraph role play server. My wondering is how many other people would be interested in this type of roleplay ? If we get a large turn out maybe we could start some pre planning. Anyhow, thank you for your time.

    I I am really not that technical at all. I really might be interested in playing in a written chat role play environment and if this meant hosting a server I would need some help. I don't know what reasonable means for most people. Can you have a server for 50 dollars a month, a hundred, twenty five, hundreds? For me that would be the difference between going forward and being restrained from playing. Does anyone know what a server for a similar type game runs and maybe I could try to figure if it was something that was conceivable.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the response. So far their is so much that I think that I will like in identity. For one, I love the details and the immersion. I like that the prison system will be detailed and that the cop and swat and other professions are laid out carefully. I like to role play in urban settings and this has all that as well as a level of customization and detail that would be inspiring. I know that there is a big text based role play community it would be feasible that a server would go well. My goals are always to write good stories, build interesting online characters and immerse myself in that. I probably will develop a back story and play it from there.  Thanks.

    Hi,

    Right now I am an text based paragraph role player. I have played in a variety of RP settings within Second Life and private boards. I love the development of stories and think this game could possibly have so much to offer the paragraph text based role player like myself. y question is, will there be any servers that will have exclusive text based role play available ? Thanks.
