I hope you know an averagely priced 15 seat bus is around $50,000, an average city bus is $400,000; if you're thinking about starting a bus company you're gonna need to take a big loan or hold off for a while :)

Not starting a bus company but I was just wondering what the prices of those vehicles will be in game. :)

I know very well how much they cost in real life.

  2. I think that buses / minibuses / vans should not be too expensive. These vehicles are absolutely essential for all the bus companies. Maybe developers could implement bank financing loans specifically designed for transit companies. That would make it a whole lot easier. If a bus company has a few buses and available drivers, it will start making profit and successfully pay off the bank loans. This will enable it to purchase even more expensive vehicles such as intercity coaches.

I asked about public transport once on the twitter page, and i was tolo buses might not be included because griffers would hijack them and block of the roads and such.

Yeah, that's very bad about griefers... :( Personally, I would love driving a city bus in Identity. That's what I did part time in some Arma mods.

  4. Well, if the town square streets are too narrow for regular city buses, developers could make smaller mini buses which would be much more suitable.

For example, this minibus (Solaris Alpino) is only 8.6 meters long and 2.4 meters wide, which makes it suitable for narrow city streets and winding mountain roads.

  5. It all depends where my studio apartment will be located (one of the kickstarter pledge perks). If it's going to be in a nice area - I will most likely stay there. If it's located in a bad area, I will sell it (if possible) and move somewhere else.

I like the idea of a save haven but i don't think it will be necesary, as we don't expect a massive amount of crime that's related to hijacking and shooting as the dev's said they want equal opportunities so getting weapons will take some work, And our security guards ensure that all of our logistics and passenger services are secure. But thank you all for your feedback, its all very much appreciated :)

    That's very good. :)

I was just quite worried it would be the same as it was in Arma mods. Very stressful and unplayable.

By the way, If you are going to need some part time city bus drivers in the future - please let me know.

  7. I like this idea and your nice thread. I will definitely use your corporation for my transport needs. Besides paramedic, I also used to role play part time as a city bus driver in some Arma mods. I gave up unfortunately, after I was getting robbed and hijacked/shot every hour...

Therefore, I am thinking maybe you should implement "Safe Haven" for your corporation. This is actually taken from my city's bus company website. You can read more in the spoiler:

    Safe Haven

If you need help, or temporary shelter, regardless of your age, approach a Transit Windsor driver and he or she will provide assistance by contacting someone for you.

Transit Windsor, in partnership with Neighbourhood Watch, Windsor Police Service, Windsor Fire and Rescue Services, and the Social Services Department, has designated its fleet of buses as Safe Havens.

This is accomplished with the City of Windsor two-way radio system which is installed on each bus. The system is directly linked to police and fire dispatch to provide immediate response to your needs.  Transit Windsor buses operate seven days per week, 365 days per year, and provide service on major streets throughout the city.

View the brochure "Transit Employees are the Eyes and Ears of our Community" at right.

Hopefully the firefighters and the amulances will be at the same location so I have someone to talk to between callouts ;)

Swell idea! I hope it's going to be like that as well. :)

  9. Well, I'll go to a local hospital or ambulance headquarters (depends how it's set up in game) and start my paramedic training as soon as possible. Of course, while I am doing that -  I will look for bugs and properly report them in the forums.

  10. I think this will be a nice feature. Characters passing out when sick or not eating/drinking will add much more to realism.

Remember, if you are not feeling well - please call 911 and we shall be there as soon as possible.

Hello! maybe we could be a team of medics :D

That would be lovely! I used to role play as Paramedic in some Arma mods and it was very fun and exciting.

  12. I like this idea. Hopefully players will be able to choose to work in different fields as well. For example: indoor/outdoor landfill, sanitation worker, recycling truck driver and so on.

  13. Hello everyone. My name is Zulnex and I am from Canada. I am very happy to be here.

I have been following Identity since the early Kickstarter stages and I am excited to see the game progressing forward.

I am looking forward role-playing as a paramedic and saving as many players as I can.

Please do not worry. Wherever you are, I will do my absolute best to rescue you:
