Send as much as you like, I may not use them all right away, but they all will be asked one time or another.

9 minutes ago, The1TheOnlyGonzo said:How are you collecting the questions asked by the community?
PM whatever questions you have to me, and I'll add them. This is to avoid the candidates getting the questions ahead of time.

Because the candidates all have their own schedules and different time zones, it's hard to gather them all at once. So, for now, I'll be collecting a group of questions, made by myself and the community, to ask on a forum post, where they will openly debate. This will happen next week.

I wish you the best luck in this, and who knows, Idenitity is a big world and always changing. You can be whatever you want, and can always change what you want to be. Regardless, I hope you have a ton of fun in whatever you decide to do!

Go ahead and PM them to me, I'll make sure to ask them!

I'm sorry to hear this Mr. Smith. I hope we'll see you in the political arena in the future, as I'm sure you'd make an excellent leader!

I'm sure the candidates would be more than happy to have somebody working with them! Check out their posts, find out who you most align yourself with, and contact them about working with them.

12 minutes ago, Arky said:Shouldnt the questions be shots? Meaning they shouldn't have time to prepare an answer for the questions. That would be better.
While that would be ideal, it's hard to organize the event so that they can all participate at the same time .
A simple solution to remedy this, however, is that the citizens wishing to ask questions PM me their questions. That would keep their anonymity, still allow their involvment, and make sure the candidates can't prepare for questions.
Thanks for pointing this out, I'm sure this solution will be for the best!

Hello there, concerned Identity Citizens! As we know, we'll be holding the first Governor debate on the forums, and in order to achieve greater community involvement in the politics of Identity, I'll be collecting questions from all of you to ask the candidates.
All you need to do is to PM me the question, and I'll be making another post posing the questions to the candidates, where they will give their stances and debate the issues that you, the citizens, bring up.
Thank you!

We'll have to push back the date to next weekend, so that a candidate can join. But we have plenty of time to do this, so it's perfectly fine!

I'm aware of this lol, was explaining it to Mr. Hetch. It's best for the PD to work as a heirarchy. Chief of Police is generally just the most trusted and most responsible person on the force.

54 minutes ago, ThomasHetch said:I think it is a great structure but a council of people who run the police so power is not giving to one person
While normally that's a good idea, for the police it's different. A chief of police is just a normal thing anywhere.

I think the best approach for this will be: A townhall style debate where the citizens ask questions of the candidates one at a time, and they debate the topic for a period of time. That way, each citizen can have a voice, and we can answer what's on everyone's mind.
16 hours ago, uncannierlink said:I think the people should be allowed to ask questions directly to the candidates in Discord, and the debate can be recorded and uploaded to YouTube. I certainly have some questions I want to ask about the structure and functionality of each Party's proposed government, how they plan on preventing totalitarianism, as well as what they plan on doing with all of the tax dollars they will be collecting (hopefully funding police, judges, ems, firefighters, and any other organization that needs to be a non-profit).
We currently have a Discord server run by myself for the candidates and citizens. We can use that to host the debate, considering the candidates that want to participate are already in it.
Thanks for the response and suggestions, and I'd love your feedback!

I am indeed the guy the dude was threatening. Glad you two cleared that up! Peace and love man!

Hello, candidates and fellow concerned citizens. After discussion with the candidates for the Governorship, most have agreed to participate in a debate, in order to discuss their ideas in a public setting, and let the general population get a feel for their candidates and compare one another.
I think it's wonderful that the candidates and community want to become so involved in this, and I'll be excited to host or help with this event. If you have ideas about what platform this debate could best be held on (discord, forum post, etc) please, let me know.
I want the community, as well as the candidates involved in this, as it'll be a lot of fun, and a nice bit of RP too! If anyone has any suggestions for this event, let me know. If you wish to participate in the debate, also let me know, I don't want anyone coming in last minute.
Good luck to all of you candidates!
Thanks to the candidates for working this out with me!
Edit: We will be holding the debate next weekend, as to gather more details, generate notice, allow the candidates to prepare, and let the people know what they're asking.

Hey everyone, just proposing an idea for an added check on our Government / Governor, whomever that may be.
We form a senate of elected officials to keep an eye on the Governor and any laws they may pass. I haven't worked out a lot of the details of this, I just figured it would be a good idea, in order to maintain the beliefs and needs of the people first and ensure the Governor doesn't have complete control.
Thanks! And any suggestions, additions, or discussion on this idea would be great!

enjoy travelling around the forum!
I'd recommend the group labeled "The Precinct." Its directly related to police officers. Politics is the governor and such. Enjoy your stay and I hope you can become an officer.

Welcome to the forums and to the game, friend!
Thanks for telling me how to pronounce that. I kept saying Tris Word in my head haha. You're the real MVP.
Good luck on trying to create a company, I wish you the best!

Heya! Welcome to the forums and to the game!
What do you intend to do in Identity, as it'll be really easy to find a group to really click with.
If you ever want to chill and chat, or ask any questions, hit me up! I'm always willing to make new friends!

I see what you're saying, but try to organize the post and thought a bit better. It's sorta a word jumble, and can be hard to understand without some punctuation and breaks in the sentences / paragraphs.
But you do have a neat, little idea! I wish you the best of luck!

The First Governor Debate
in The Podium
Posted
Hey, sorry I wasn't able to host the event this weekend. This was due to me being in the hospital for the past week, and I couldn't focus on this at the time. I'll be doing it soon, sorry for any types of inconveniences.
