  1. communication

I'm sure there will be a text feature or at least a quick response for communication out side of VOIP. I completely understand the angle of VOIP only, as well as fears of being forced to use VOIP. I see it this way, the gaming community has become a bit reclusive when it comes to verbal communication. When playing solo it's your narrative and you don't want someone's voice let alone opinion sleek into your realm. It's ok to admit, we've all done it. Why VOIP is a must here is because this isn't just your world now. It's every bodies. What this is, is one big social experiment, to note not what we think but how we think. About ourselves, and about each other. This being said verbal communication is a must. But as far as text communication you have the messaging app on your smartphone and computer to send text based replies.
  2. Painting

wait... you use your drawing tablet for your aiming in CSGO? That's awesome! Does it work generally besides the random spinning?? But I will note that, in my opinion, and its not an urgent matter or a priority but I would like it to go on record that drawing tablets need to be integrated at some point. It adds that layer of realism and confidence when considering an art career. Think about it, in the mind set of how serious role players think, no one is going to want to spend the money on mouse drawn art. In my opinion, which doesn't make me right, just an idea.
  3. Quick question for the day one cats.

Long time lurker, first time poster. And its not that I'm not willing to support this its only $30 for proper beta access but: The Town Square module took about how long to reach it's current 75% status? Just trying to gather a time line here I suppose, since I didn't pay as close of attention as I should have. I'm beyond stoked for this project and generally am not one to drop cash on something until I have game play to tinker with. Justifiably. All preferences aside though, This is going to be big and I am beyond impressed with you and your team John. We held faith when Altis dropped and now you bring us this. Well done. If there is anything I can do for you guys please don't hesitate to ask. Even PR. Thanks guys.
  4. Quick question for the day one cats.

I lol'd either way the level they are taking it to is clearly going to take time. As long as I have a test environment or 3 haha I'll be all good. (And hopefully this is the main determining punishment system in Ident.) It's just going to take time.
  5. Quick question for the day one cats.

Unreal Grenade, I don't know what to say! >_> I wish I contribute more than just funds! I'm sure we all do at this point. lol
  6. Quick question for the day one cats.

You're pulling a fast one mate! Are you joking?
  7. Quick question for the day one cats.

Oh yes for only 33 people man. It's just beyond impressive at this point.
  8. Gore

Not sure how gore escalated into the fear of what you just mentioned but adding dismemberment into the mix would certainly produce a high level of shock ESPECIALLY if weapons are going to be few and far between. Imagine being a rookie cop, you're inspired yeah? as far as your story goes you havn't seen much violence so far. Other than a few fights maybe, maybe a semi violent car into car collision right? but a murder comes over the line, you and your mates know you're in the sh*t now. This is happening, first blood. You anxiously make it to the crime scene to find not a murder but a grotesque display. Now, are you or are you not more inclined to hunt this killer down? "Are you not entertained!" Never mind your quick assumptions of what you listed above, no need to rush to such extreme levels of depravity.
  9. Quick question for the day one cats.

Gotcha, I had assumed (forgive me) that the 3 modules were the testing grounds for social, weapons and physics environment, and driving physics all encompassing a beta. Very good news that you guys aren't going that route just to make it easier on yourselves. That speaks volumes.
  10. Quick question for the day one cats.

ah good man, thanks for the reply. But no need to thank me for my support, I've been on the wagon since this was a rumor. Its not you guys that need to be thanking us, but us... well i suppose it was a joint effort. Thank you either way for actually pursuing this. But I got yah, ok. That gives me an estimate of when it will be accessible. With that being said, and I understand if it cant be answered but is the beta referring to the town square or will that just be a testing ground like play station home completely separate from the actual beta? Thank you again!
  11. Character

I've wondered this too, more so along the lines of how it would effect the integrity of the prison/punishment system. So man gets imprisoned, doesn't want to wait out his characters sentence, creates new character, then what? Gets to reestablish himself then try the crime again from a different angle? I do agree with mans post (sorry cant think of reference or find source) about how your crimes should follow you around, like a record yeah? I agree with that to an extent. There should still be a system in place like "the right to be forgotten" argument where AT SOME POINT an arrest record or crime record can be expunged. Or if you're not willing to wait it out and be a good lad/lass you can hire or befriend a hacker to erase the record. Maybe that's noticed by another player that's a cop. Leaves that angle open, thus creating a risk. OR maybe you just so happen to know someone that works for the cops that will delete the record for you. etc.... The possibilities really are endless when you provide players with the tools and format and say "Here you go, now coexist." Point being playing the waiting game will add that layer of realism which in turn adds the layer of punishment, which is in this case, time.

I'm hoping for a Wacom integration too man! I feel like it'd be a no brainier but I'm not familiar with game programming enough to say if its possible or not. I'm sure it is as the technology already exists. +10 would bring out the Bob Ross in me, properly.
