OMG! It's about damn time you people learn to read minds over the internet!

    Was this sarcastic enough?

Yes that's quite clear enough because I know reading minds isn't something you expect of someone ? I'm not great at subtlety when it comes to sarcasm and facetiousness.

Having browsed and contributed on forums for nearly 20 years now, I do realize sarcasm and facetiousness don't come across in written form. Please understand that I too am interpreting your messages to me in a certain way... however, I have no intentions of calling you out on it. Why? because I am probably wrong. Why am I probably wrong? Because we have established that emotions and attitudes don't transition well into written form. So what I choose to do with my experiences as an established forum-goer is read the messages and if the "feeling" of the message is not clearly established within the message then I choose the "feeling" that comes across to me within the content of the message. Basically, what you said but a bit more elegant. More importantly, I choose not to quibble over the "feeling" of the message or how it was received because it is a huge waste of time... just like this.

I am not a game wrecker and when the game is available to play I personally guarantee it will not be ruined for everyone by me.

Let us move past this episode of stating the obvious and get back to being chummy cyber entities for no good reason at all.

    Deal? :D

If I came across as narky or anything I apologise. As you say you realise and understand that sarcasm and facetiousness doesn't come across in written form. ( Even in vocal form I sometimes have trouble detecting them unless it's very obvious and over the top for example.)

All it comes down to is misinterpreting what you meant which while it's a somewhat embarrassing thing to admit it's just what it is and that's that.

Yeah I agree we'll just move forward and chalk it up to a misunderstanding.

I will be figuring out a way to make the game behave in ways that are advantageous to me.

Every game has something going on that was never intended to be done... I want in on that.

So you're going to ruin the game for everyone else just so you can have an advantage?

The game is still in development and hasn't been approved by Steam so you probably have enough time to buy it. But, I'm sure - based off the base package - it'll only be about $20.

Atm founder is 30 bucks, one week after new website launches it goes up to 45 bucks

  5. I feel like this is musical circles ?? the mods explain something multiple times and people keep going on about the same things and then complain the devs and mods don't answer questions properly.

Hello, I wanna ask if you will need a sort of license or you will only need money, also if there will be a Black market or something to buy weapons without license ?

To my knowledge it works like this.

If you want weapons legally you need to pass a licensing and obtain a legal permit to carry a firearm just like real life. You'll also need to ensure your license let's you have what you need i.e. hunting rifle for hunting or a pistol for self defense etc.

If you don't want to go down the legal route be prepared to spend a lot of money as the black market is very very expensive just like real life, infact I'm pretty sure a pistol will cost a couple of Grand, a semi-automic rifle will cost around the 5,000 dollar range and a fully automatic rifle will cost closer towards the 10,000 dollar range and they're only estimates so don't take my word for it.

If I were you I'd go the legal route, unless you plan on becoming a drug kingpin and making millions which in identity is extremely unlikely you won't be affording a black market deal anytime soon.

I was exaggerating the price but Cars cost ridiculous prices.

Well we can all agree that's a good thing.

One of the things I dislike most about GTA online is that everything is over the top in prices. Haircuts costing 200 bucks upwards, outfits costing 100,000 dollars ??.

Can't wait to play the full release of identity and go clothes shopping where 500 bucks will get me some decent threads ??

Lets say that there will be 1.000 new pledgers when TS releases. That means 1.000 new people waiting for the full game. How many years has it taken just to make the TS module? The full game will need much more work which means longer time before its done = hype will die

That's where you're wrong, the only reason it's taken so long is because town square is the foundation of identity, it's how all the main game mechanics have been made and as such it's the reason why it's taken the longest amount of time. That's without adding the fact that the town square had to be redone/ redesigned 2-3 times and the fact they started off as a very small team without an official office which is now solved in both aspects.

Module 2 will take far less time as gun mechanics have already been started on and designed during town square and as the gun system won't be too difficult then module 2 will release anywhere from 6-12 months ( my estimation isn't to be taken as official release dates ). The racing module will take a lengthy amount of time but hopefully not 3+ years as the car mechanics and driving mechanics have yet to be touched on and thus need more time to allow for that.

In other words chill out and the game will come when it comes, no point worrying about small details otherwise people just worry for the sake of worrying.

  9. Good sense of humour but people can relax, they'll keep it in testing as long as need be and it'll go to steam when it's ready and it'll be verified when it gets verified. The devs have come this far and at this stage it's more than safe to say identity isn't going to be a failure, once town square comes out everyone will want a piece of the action and it'll lead to more pledgers, I'm proud to say I've been around since pre town square and so should everyone else who has pledged to this wonderful opportunity.

Could this be counted as Doxxing? I mean, you are putting their personal name out there for everyone to see. o.O Pretty sure that's against the law in EU now.

Perhaps it would be better if you asked them directly, and let them you yourself, if they wanted to?
Or if it was posted somewhere on this site, link to that instead.

I'd imagine if they're giving permission and saying it's okay then I can't see there being an issue, if the names are openly on the website then it's no problem, I don't really know what's going on with European law and what it entails. Just my two cents.

I hope so, I don't want to pay $500,000,000 for a hat and $9,000,000,000 for a vape! xD

Then you won't be disappointed ? devs have said before that prices in game will reflect real life so houses and cars will be expensive and things such as clothes will vary depending on shop bought from etc.

There will be mansions, and they will be big. Certain mansions will function as a capture point for cartels/other criminal organizations. These mansions will be similar to the one from the movie "Scarface". The other "mansion" will be a penthouse. As of yet, there is no official price for the mansion.

I would expect it to be in the millions for the mansions like Scarface, the penthouses could easily be hundreds of thousands.

Bearing in mind prices are going to heavily reflect real life and the real life Scarface mansion is worth millions.

  13. Personally this kind of stuff shouldn't be a post, the devs may not want people Sharing their personal names and such, be considerate.

We know John's name because he's announced it, we don't necessarily know the others because they may not have shared it. I'd like to request this post be removed purely out of respect for the dev team.

To the people thinking it will come next week, you're out of your minds. This 1 task alone that's been completed has taken multiple weeks, and there's no reason to believe these last 2 won't.

For fun or not a lot of the dates offered here are ridiculous, it's not going to be out anytime soon and people need to stop going on about the release date.

It'll determine my loyalty to them. The better the expectations, the more i'm loyal. I'm looking for someone right for me at the same time, right for them. I don't need a job. It'll just give me something to do. Therefore, i'm not exactly a beggar, or a hobo. Just simply looking for a RP group.

No offence but there's a difference between determining loyalty and just outright being a cherry picker.

Now if you'd like to discuss work I may be able to help you out with that, feel free to privately message me and I'll invite a contact. Whatever we discuss stays within privacy. Offers there if you want it.

The devs stream every Tuesday and Thursday. Gameplay streams not so much as you point those two out.

    They are Monthly Dev Blogs

What are they to announce? If you say a release date, well we have the tracker instead of one.

The Artist don't programme..... So how are the objects like the deck chair and lamp holding up the programmers?

No, they said the new website will either come before or along side the TS module release. Please check the tracker for the progress on the TS module, as when that is completed the module will be submitted to steam to for verification and then it will release.

They have a dev blog every Month not every 3 months. Also Beach_Ball the community manager does answer the communities questions.

Also we are customers but at the same time "Pledging/ Donating" to help fund the development on the game. We get the perks in the pledge we chose to say thank you for helping development early on.

I think this post is honest and constructive. I don't understand why you have to be either a die hard fan who doesn't question anything (PRESTON_BODHI_343) or think everything is a scam (Eschaton).

It is more than acceptable to question the development direction they have taken here, as well as their lack of community engagement, especially when they talk about community as something they value.

Now, I have backed this project, and I am eagerly awaiting TS just like everyone else. But at the same time, I am also unhappy with the way they have handled information and communicating what is going on so that their backers, customers, and future playerbase have a somewhat better understanding. ESPECIALLY given their poor track record.

So both sides are wrong. It is perfectly reasonable to question what the heck is going on here, but calling it a scam is irritating too. We are still seeing stuff, but honestly, not enough.

Also FYI, you wouldn't have one of your developers write articles each week, to your point, that wouldn't make sense when there is clearly a lot of work for them to do. BUT you could very well delegate that task to someone who is not developing. Or hire someone specifically to engage your community and such. Come on, thats pretty basic.

First of all I've questioned things many times on this forum and I'm not quite at the point of die hard, I just have strong faith but I have criticised the devs where needed.

Secondly it's one thing to question the direction of where the game development is going but to outright scream "waaaahh it's a scam the devs are scum" is just childish and unnecessary and frankly I've seen too much of this in the last month which I think we can both agree on.

Other than that I can't argue with you.

Why the fuck don't they just put a locked build on Steam now and get it verified earlier? Oh wait, they're fucking scum.

Oh shut up you whinge bag and cry us a river. We don't care for your trolling attitude. Go back to call of duty or wherever you came from
