A lot of people crabbing about "Lost hope in the games development." "is it even real?", "is it a scam?" "We've been waiting years!" Etc.

I'm sure there are older folks here crabbing as well, but IMO, a lot of the crabbing comes from a youthful perspective that we demand everything now because we're entitled to everything life has to offer, as fast as possible. I've invested into many kick starters and early access projects. Very few were flops, (ahem DayZ), but the ones that take the time, tend to be the shiners at the finish line.

Besides, my old a** could fall asleep for a nap and wake up next year, soooo yeah.

I think it's warranted to an extent. It's okay to criticise, it's the way these people present their arguments that bugs me. Explain the problem, explain what's wrong and explain why you are annoyed. Maybe even include a potential resolve in there as well if you have one. There are many concerns I share with these complainers, I just don't consider myself on 'their side' because instead of discussing concern, people are venting anger. I don't actually think you need to share your concerns respectfully, you can be annoyed and make it clear, but when you are just complaining about having to wait then yes it can get annoying. My issue isn't the wait, it's the process and why it is taking so long. If I was waiting and thought I was getting something worth the wait then it's okay, its what we are getting over such a long time period that annoys me. Once again though, it's how you present your concerns. I think there have been plenty of red flags here to have genuine complaints about, but just venting anger is not okay.

I do think there are two ends to this spectrum. There are people who are just diehard fanboys and absolutely refuse to allow any negative comment or implication whatsoever about the devs. You aren't helping anyone by sucking up and refusing to criticise, you are actually making matters worse by making the developers think everything is okay. Everything is not okay, and instead of one side complaining about the same thing over and over when there's no way to solve the issue, and the other side policing what people say about the developers, we should all work together to explain in a productive way why we are annoyed and what could help ease up the frustration that a lot of the fans share.

    Its literally true.

I bought it, played it, got bored, refund it.    9/10  will do the same.

Ok lets be serious its nothing special in this game. Ok you can see a lot of metabolic stats the most of the gamers dont understand but theres nothing special.

The loot system is really bad and with luck you dont die of starvation.

I actually disagree. I bought it with no expectations and I am loving it so far. Yes, it can be boring at times but overall there are plenty of POI's, guns aren't extremely hard to find, zombies aren't too easy or too hard, loot seems to be slightly unbalanced though. I find it very hard to locate food. I find more can openers than actual canned food.

Overall, decent game, worth the £15 it costed, and I will keep playing it until it bores me. So far, I am enjoying the crafting system and inventory system. I like the combined weight and inventory slots, works really well I think.

The Dev gets on once every few weeks and spews how everything is business as usual in Identity land, BLA, BLA, BLA.

The thing that interested me is that when the plagiarism accusations came out the devs were straight on and the moderator locked the topic. Almost like they entered damage control mode.

I don't like talking bad about the devs because I am sure some of them read these, but I do stick up for them when I can.

Scum is a game we should be wating for , the game got cool concepts and really good mechanisms with extreemly good gameplay logic thats my opinion , keep an eye on that agame :)

Look, the game looks alright. Don't think it will be anything groundbreaking. I've seen gameplay, and it looks better than your usual zombie survival game, but not by a lot.

Will give it a go, but please don't expect much.

pre ordering battlefield v gives you access to weapons and outfits.

if you’ve pre ordered cheat theft auto v you got 1,5kk ingame cash

And pre-ordering Identity got you certain benefits as well depending on which package you got. These are additional micro transactions, GTA was not selling shark cards before GTA Online was released.

I would call it lazy rather than wrong. It's still not a red flag for me.

Its literally an exact copy with a redone background. But whatever, now I would like to ask you for some "green flags" so I can see why you are too dismissive of this.

  7. Fair enough, but the excuse was always that there was huge bugs that spawned more bugs. This mentions that they have all been dealt with, so if we don't have the module in a reasonable amount of time then we know that there is no truth in this post.

Keep in mind here that Identity is built with competition in mind, and a cheap and plentiful weapon can be deadly as fast as a rare and powerful weapon. For example, if you've died recently and lost your assault rifle, that'll set you back. However, having a 9mm pistol you had in storage can still be incredibly deadly if used well. Our goal is to make sure that a skilled new player will be competitive.

I like this so much. It always annoyed me when pistols take 14 shots to the chest to kill someone but an automatic AR-15 does the job in 3.

It was never supposed to be a video.  The devs never said it would be a video.  What they said was in the future they wanna start making the dev blogs in video form.

The last Identity Insider was in video form. We still don't have a dev blog. It is not unreasonable to expect more from this. They put off a dev blog to write a more specific dev blog.

Here's a screenshot from the Discord:

Okay so let's look at it this way. The last task in testing is in UI, under Programming. And you know there's not 10-20 programmers in the team, well there's a lot of artist, but that's another story. Even if they have something like 4 programmers, it doesn't mean it's going to get one task done faster. All it means is that they can spread more tasks to those programmers. In other words, you can't take 9 women to get a baby after one month...

Now try to find that little bugger that caused the database to crash. But yeah I do understand it really lacks details, and you'd have to be there on the Discord at the right time to see Motown or some of the moderators give small little updates. Then it gets passed on to active members of the community like me.

But yeah programming can be a pain, especially when debugging, then you try to fix it and then find something else that is broken. I don't blame them, it can be a hurdle.

You are comparing a development task to pregnancy. That is absolutely ludicrous. Of course spreading one task over four people will make it get fixed faster, hence why companies hire more than one developer.

I dont understand why everyone is so defensive of these fucking devs man, its like you know something nobody else does.

This about sums up my opinion of the forums. People are complete fanboys. I appreciate the developers, but also understand that they have fucked up. Just because you are admitting the devs have handled this whole project wrong doesn't mean you hate them. These people absolutely refuse to admit any fault on the devs side. It's something I have noticed a certain forum moderator do frequently too, instead of accepting responsibility for their mistakes they blame it on the consumers (us). It isn't the devs fault for missing two deadlines, its our fault for not being patient. It's not the devs fault for taking ages, its our fault for not understanding how developing games works. It's not the devs fault for putting all these micro transactions and overpriced addons, it's our fault for not understanding how expensive development is. It's always our fault, I rarely if ever see an apology, always excuses.

I'm not attacking the devs, as I have stated, I am on their side, just stating an observation.

You do have to remember that somewhere along the development of the first module they threw away all their code and started from scratch.

I'm not talking about that, I am talking about the previous two release dates where we have been told the module is releasing on a date, then a few days before the date they have delayed it. These dates were fairly recent. How did they not know until days before the dates that they wouldn't be able to release on time when we are here, months later, still waiting? Surely it would have been very apparent, very early on that these dates were unrealistic.

  13. The thing I am most confused about is if it is taking this long since the tracker was announced, how on Earth did they ever expect to release on their previous two "release dates"? Surely they could have looked before they even set the release dates and said "hmm, we have another 6 months of work to do, maybe we should wait to announce a release date."

House flipper looks like a decent game... however, if you think that the apartment customization is even going to be 1/5 as good as that, I think ur going to get a bit of a shock... The whole point of house flipper is to take a shit hole, clean it up, fix all the broken stuff (little mini puzzles etc), then sell to buy a bigger and better house. What is the point of customising your own apartment? Go play the sims if thats what your after... This one you will be able to choose your floor tiles... the wall paper... then buy a radio so you can sit on your chair to listen to... invite your friends over to your apartment which will most likely look identical to theirs.

As I say, I am really happy to be proved wrong having pledged, but this game will lose it's whole player base when the module is released as there is nothing to do in it. There is only so many times you can change your floor tiles....

Again I must disagree. In House Flipper, all you can do is place floor and wall tiles. I know because I have played it extensively. You can't control much else except in terms of furniture. In Identity, you can change the walls, skirting boards, ceiling textures etc. To challenge your point,

What is the point in anything? What is the point in becoming a police officer. What is the point in making money? Ultimately, everything is meaningless, you don't do it because there is a point, you do it because you enjoy it.

    - Add turtlenecks with thumb holes, I think these are kinda cool.

    - Let us choose the colour of our socks and shoelaces, you can't do that in GTA Online so yeah, be innovative.

    - Our characters shouldn't just hold the steering wheels the same way 24/7 like damn robots. They should move their fingers, wrists etc. and after car is standing in one place for lets say 1 minute then our characters should maybe put their hands on laps or so, just to add a bit of realism with such human gestures. (setting the style how our characters hold the steering wheel will also be appreciated.)

    - Add dirtbikes and perhaps some dirtbike arena or so.

    - We MUST be able to create our own car liveries instead of picking from few ugly ones like in GTA. Do it or lots of players will be really dissapointed, and not only the car guys, but just people who want to express themselves, and Identity is mostly about that.

    - Customizable or changable music visualisers in our cars.

    - Glowing subwoofers, might glow more intensively when it's bass. (ricers like me will like.)

    - Japan cars should have steering wheels on the right side (cause imported) with possibility of mounting it to the left side at mechanics.

    - If a suspects leaves official server and joins another official server then he should still be marked as suspect for police on the server he changed to too, or his time of being a suspect should reset. (actually I don't even know how that mechanic works: when you commit a crime are you wanted forever and you have to escape from police forever untill they catch you? Or you have to escape for the time based on the crime you commited? Lets say for breaking something or hitting someone you need to avoid police for 10 minutes, but if you kill someone you need to escape for 25-30 minutes or be wanted forever untill police arrests or kills you, idk myself.)

    - Cashiers should be NPCs unless player desiring to lead some shop will decide to take their place. We need NPCs as cashiers, or like 99% of shops imo will have no cashiers, as I don't think there will be many players wanting to be cashiers.

    - Choosing the sound our car makes when we use the door locker button.

Cashiers are all NPCs as confirmed by devs.

  16. Anyone here play poker? I love it, but I am only 17 so a lot of my friends don't have an interest. If anyone would like to play via Tabletop Simulator or some free website I would love to!

Agree, the number of people who have the wrong idea about what module 1 actually is is astonishing.

You will be able to walk around, chat, go to a karaoke bar, play chess and change your outfit... I'm pretty sure u could pretty much do all this in children's visual chat rooms when I was 10 (22 year ago).

The disappointment for many will be huge I feel.

I disagree. The apartment customisation will be a huge part of it, house flipper is an entire game dedicated to decorating apartments and houses, so I think people are underestimating how good that portion of the TS will be.

yeah but I'm talking about the actual Apartment will it be a studio... hoping for at least one bedroom if not more

Don't quote me but I think in the last gameplay stream it was mentioned that there are a few different kinds to chose from in TS. Again, I am going off of memory so it may be incorrect.

To be fair I don't think people's main issue is they don't know how long a game takes, but rather how little seems to be getting done in that time. There hasn't really been any development curve at all. They seem to have been stuck in one place for a very long time. Typically there is a clear and concise development curve when new games are being released with a lot of community interaction etc. etc.
